"RJ honey, time to wake up, first day of school remember, make some friends." Nebula said softlywalking into the three-year okd male-kit's room seeing the male-kit placing the blanket over his furry lil head making Nebula sigh knowing he wasn't too thrilled about his first day of pre-school knowing he needed encouragement seeing some of the younger kits hugging her legs.
"I don't wanna go to school, I don't knowanybody there." RJ replied from withonhis blanket seeing Rocket entering wondering what was going on as Nebula whispered into his furryear seeing the look of understandibg on his face sitting on the bed, near the kit-sized lump in the blanket which he thought funny along with him trying to hide
"RJ buddy you don't have to worry about making friends as your cousins will be there." Rocket reassured him seeing RJ's furry lil head poke oht of the blanket astounding Nebula that her fiancee had gotten RJ out of hiding but helping him pick out what he wanted to wear relieving them as he came into the kitchen after brushing his fangs eating toast and drinking milk, watching his dad feeding his younger sibs while Nebula maxe RJ's lunch putting it in his lunchbag then putting it in his backpack as they were aboht to leave, as the younger kits would be in daycare too, just in a different class than RJ knowing his younger sibs might flip out with their parents dropping them off.
"On e we get them ready, then we'll go." Rocket said to him.
"Okay daddy, is it okay to play, until you're ready." RJ asked.
Rocket nodded as the male-kit left the table, playing on the living-room floor after finding his Legos in the toybox hoping there were Lego at school to build with having fun, imagining adventures with his Guardians action figures imagining the Rocket one was him making Nebula gigle knowing the other kids were gonna love him and she and Rocket decided that after crazy things had happened, that RJ could use some friends, hoping this first day would go well like daycare for the younger kits
"RJ buddy put things away in the toybox, we're ready to go." Rocket told him as he felt nervous again, leaving with his parents and younger sibs but quiet which maxe Nebula and Rocket concerned, as they arrived at school seeing Nebula taking the younger kits to the daycare room where there were other toddlers their age while Rocket was helping RJ with the pre-school room noticing the star-kits there along with Teefs and Floor making RJ hide behind his dad's back.
"Awwww, is that your RJ hiding behind your back, he's adorable like you at his age." Rocket heard a familar voice say seeing his dad, Rocket Senior there impressing RJ seeing his dad being hugged by his dad which was helping him relax despite being shy around the other kids which Rocket Senior noticed guessing he needed help seeing the Wyndham kits being rambunctious.
"Guys settle down, I get you're excited as it's the first day but let's settle down."he told them seeing the star-kits sitting on the rug with Teefs in his wheelchair with Floor on the rug making RJ curious peeking out making them curious too.
"Guys, this is RJ who's new andshe, so let's make him feel welcome." Rocket Senior told them.
"Yes sir, hey RJ." they said seeing RJ gingerly scamper over to the rug where the other kids were sitting but looking around the classroom which was warm and inviting seeing Nebula there outside the pre-school room making Rocket relieved reassuring him he and Nebula would pick him up later and that he was in good paws with his dad feeling Rocket Senior hug him before he lect.
"Mazel Tov Rockie, as the younger kits had a harder time than RJ." Nebula said as they were leaving
"They'll be okay Nebs plus my dad being RJ's teacher made it easier for him to let go." Rocket said sniffling
"They'll be okay buddy." Nebula reassured him.
RJ grinned finding Legos as he was still feeling shy around the other kids, and building a city out of Lego was distracting him from his feeling until he heard crying from down the hall guessing his sibs were havibg a hard tine thinking their parents hadabandoned them knowing that wasn't true noticing Floor doing art along with Teefs and sone of the other kids playing or listening to a story but making a Godzilla out of Lego role playing and loosening up a little unaware some of the other kids were watching, impressed including Teefs and Floor were watching along with Rocket Senior
"What's that sound, sir." one of the star-kits asked making RJ frown knowing it was his younger sibs.
"My lil brothers and sisters aremaking those noises, they're not used to being without our mom and dad." RJ mumbled asttoundihg his classmates hearing the teacher trying to calm the toddler-kits down relieving RJ hearing it was lunchtime seeing the kids bet their lunches from their backpacks sittingat a long table only RJ was hoping his sibs were feeling better eating enjoying the lunch Nebula had made him hearing the teacher say that after lunch, it was rest-time making RJ's eyes widen in awe.
"So you're telling me we sleep in school." he asked making the other kids chuckle.
"Uh-huh and guess you didn't knowthat." Rocket Senior told him.
"Nopesir, this is my first day." RJ replied to him yawning alomg with the other kids seeing them grab blankets and pillows finding comfortable spaces in the classroom seeing Floor snuggling beside Teefs afterhe'd disconnected himself from his wheelchair which RJ thought cool wanting to ask about that but unsure, he didn't want to hurt Teefs's feelinvs so maybe he could ask his dad later falling asleep with the rest of the class which made Rocket Senior relieved, cleaning up a little before taking an nap himself as teachers needed rest tine too, plus knew his lil kits could have some outside play after waking up and having a snack putting cartons of milk on a tray with snacks knowing he was doing a good job teaching so far.
After waking up, the kids were having snack time then excited hearing they could play outside reminding them to share and take turns with the trikes and outdoor toys seeing them stampede outside making him chuckle knowing they would burn off energy knowing their parents would appreciate that, especially Herbert with the star-kits seeing them running around but noticed RJ just sitting under a tree guessing he wanted to chill out seeing him practing gymnastics remembering Nebula and his Rocket Junior had put RJ in gymnastics chuckling as it was cute plus saw they would be getting an new student after Halloween break which would be fun but saw it was nearky the end of the day seeing parents including Nebula and Rocket there.
"They're out back guys playing." he told them seeing Itsy there knowing Shocket was somewhere and had picked up Mayday seeing her nodding seeing the younger kits on Rocket's armoured back asleep seeing RJ run up to them in a happy mood.
"Awww somebody had a good day huh." Rocket said.
"Uh-huh." he replied to him as they left the school
