AN: Welcome to the new story! If you have not, please go read Shifting Tides. Please note that this story for the most part runs along side that story from the Bleach perspective before running a little into the future of things to come in Shifting Luck!

Which will be story 3 of this series!

Now, a bit of information. This story is fully written out. I do not promise a solid day of when I post, but I will try to post weekly. Life is a bit unpredictable unfortunately for me. But you know, that's how this goes.

I wrote this. For free. Don't make demands please and just trust that things will be wrapped up in story 3. Please and thank you.

Do not think I do not know what I wrote. I wrote what I wrote. I do take questions about something if you're not sure. Otherwise, I wrote what I wrote.

Reviews are love, but not necessary for me to post! I will never hold a story hostage. I'm not that much of a bitch.

I will moderate my reviews if needed though. Please and thank you.

For now! Enjoy!

Pulling the newest report over and reading it, and finding that it had come from another one of the spiritual worlds, Ichigo frowned. Jushiro muttered something about losing the lead on things of a magical nature. "Jushiro-san?" he called out, the silver haired man looking over at him with a frown on his lips.

"Yes, Ichigo-kun?" Jushiro prompted.

"Why are we getting reports about magic in Paris?" Ichigo asked as he held up the paperwork. "To be more precise, Miraculous and Kwami based magic?"

Jushiro hummed, setting his papers to the side as he stood. "We get reports like that because we've dealt with things of that nature before. I do not personally know much about the Miraculous and the Kwamis, but I know some of the history. Kwamis are small gods that were created when an Idea had enough power behind it. Not many know but they're like a collected form of Reio-sama's free floating power. Creation, Destruction, Transmission, Protection, Subjegation, and so on. There are dozens of them out there, and they all connect to something." He frowned as he walked around his desk, crossing his arms as he thought about it. "There was a mage, someone who had the ability to see them. He helped to bind them to objects so that they could lend their powers to humans who have their own magical core to wield their powers.

"The most famous box of them that I know of is the Chinese Box. It's traveled the world and been used the most but there's also the Native American Box, the Tibetian Box, and even a Japanese Box that are known about. Others that I don't know about. From what I know though the Japanese box was taken by Reio-sama Themselves due to the nature of the Kwami contained within," he said. "I believe that there are several books from the Tibetan Guardians that had been created by the first Mage to help protect the boxes and make sure that they go where they are needed."

"I take it that this means that something happened and that is why there's a box in Paris, France?" Ichigo asked, waving the report.

"Yes, most likely. The last that I had heard, two of the Miraculous' were missing from the Chinese box," Jushiro stated. He frowned to himself before he shook his head. "I do believe that with the rapid influx of power, the Sou-taicho is looking to send out a team to Paris to investigate what is going on."

Ichigo snorted at him. "Not a one of you will fit in. You all stand out a lot in Karakura Town, and that says something. Now add that in with being 'foreign exchange students' and you won't get anywhere near the wielders," he stated, putting the file down and tapping part of it. "They have shown that they will run and hide from you guys. They saw one of the Grim Reapers and hid from them when they tried to talk to them. I think that there might be someone there that warned them that they should hide from any who is looking to pry."

"Yes, I suppose that is what is most likely happening," Jushiro hummed. He frowned and tapped his fingers on one arm. "Do you think that you would be able to get close to them if we send you?" he asked.

Ichigo grunted. "My academy has offered me a chance to head to their main branch in Paris for my last two years of high school. I was thinking about if I had the time and energy to go or not. But if I can go while looking for these heroes...it would make it easier to get closer to them. My cousin lives in Paris to. Sado would probably come with me. My sisters have also been accepted into the sister school for that academy that I want to go to," he said.

"Come along then, let's go speak with the sou-taicho about this idea," Jushiro said. He helped Ichigo stand and lead him out of their office. It had been close to a year since the Winter War had ended and Ichigo had started to work with the various divisions to learn how they ran so that he wouldn't have to worry so much when he finally joined the spiritual world. When he wasn't in the Seireitei, he had been working on his first year of high school and was looking to switch to one that allowed one to focus on things like art or business.

They walked into the office where the Sou-taicho sat at his desk, working on his own paperwork, sitting down to discuss the idea. Ichigo explained that the school that he had been accepted to had offered him a place in the Paris main branch. That his father had been offered a job in the hospital to be a teaching doctor during the years that his children would be going to the academy. And that as a student, it was likely that he would be able to get close to them with a little work.

Yamamoto took a long moment to think it over, sipping the tea that Ichigo had poured once it had been delivered. He reread the report and asked a few more questions before he nodded with approval.

He wrote out the mission assignment paperwork before handing it to Ichigo. "Take this to the library and find any books and scrolls that we have on the Miraculous. I need both of you and any that you plan to take with you to know what is the history of the Miraculous before you get in touch with the wielders," Yamamoto stated. Ichigo took it and frowned slightly as he read over things.

"You're going to pay for things?" he asked, surprised at that part.

"Yes, we will be. It is an official Sereitei Mission that we are doing for the Grim Reapers and therefore most of your expenses during your time in Paris will be covered by us," Yamamoto stated. He handed over the full information packets that he had also filled out. "We have since made sure that our Living World information and businesses are up to date so that we can afford to pay for things for our people while they are working there," he explained, going over everything that Ichigo needed to know.

Ichigo signed the paperwork after they were done, sent a butterfly to his father about what had been decided and stepped out of the office with a groan. He stretched his arms over his head, holding the papers tightly, Jushiro chuckling as he patted his shoulder.

"I promise that you will be just fine, Ichigo-chan," Jushiro promised with a smile on his lips. He patted his shoulder again. "It should be to hard for you once you have all of the information," he mused. He turned to the left down the hall, heading for the Library with Ichigo padding after him. "I do believe that most of the information that you need will be found in the vaults due to the nature of what they are. Thus why you needed that note. Most likely it will be the most protected books but with that note you will have the ability to make copies. Just do not let them go unless you are able to find the wielders."

"I won't," Ichigo promised as they walked up to the rather large building that held the Library. Jushiro lead him to the head keeper and they settled in to speak about what it was Ichigo was looking for. The man took the note and checked it over, making sure that it was real. Once he was sure, he nodded and lead them to the back vaults where a computer sat.

"This is the catalogue that we use back here," the man said. "We've made sure that we have kept very careful record of where everything is and where to find it, with sub-categories and keywords much like the libraries of the Living World have done." He turned the computer on. "Go ahead and just put in the keywords that you want. You will not be able to remove the actual books from the vault but you will use that machine there," he said, pointing to a large machine, "to scan and print out a copy of any of the books that you want. Urahara-sama created it before he left for those who needed certain books but didn't have time to come to the library every time they needed something."

"Before he was banished without cause," Ichigho drawled, smirking at the male before turning to the computer. The man scowled but left him alone as Ichigo showed just how fast he was at typing. A few clicks of the mouse, some keystrokes that made Jushiro tilt his head, and he had a list of books that he printed off along where to find them. Jushiro followed after him with a pushcart, heading further into the vault. The Librarian watched from outside, shrugging and deciding that he wasn't likely to figure out the substitute no matter how hot the guy was.

Finding all of the books on his list, along with a couple that hadn't been caught in his initial hunt, piled onto the cart, Ichigo and Jushiro sat at a table with gloves on. They started to scan through each book and copied either the entire book or just pages. Two hours later, he had fifteen fully copied books, and dozens upon dozens of copied pages from other books, all of it shoved into the large carry bag that a Library page provided them.

Ichigo groaned as he hefted the tote up, Jushiro carrying two of the books that they couldn't fit, and left the library. "I am really not looking forward to all of this research but luckily for me, I am on summer break," he stated, Jushiro chuckling softly at him.

"Are you going to tell all of your friends about this?" the older male asked. Ichigo nodded.

"Yeah. I'm probably going to have to leave Orihime, Tatsuki and Uryu here to act as the liaisons for the Living World and the Seireitei though. Knowing how Sado is? He'll most likely come with me. He has an open invitation to the Rose Academy himself," Ichigo admitted. He blushed slightly at the thought of his friend, Jushiro smiling knowingly. Ichigo hadn't expected to find himself getting closer to his bigger friend in the way he had, but he had been.

And from the way Jushiro chuckled, filled with fondness and caring for his young friend, the man approved of their growing relationship.

"More then likely he will be helpful in going through all of the information," Jushiro teased. Ichigo hummed, blushing as he nodded, braid swinging as they headed back to the Thirteenth Division.
