In the dark of his room, Percy Jackson covered his head with his hands as he hid

"You damn whore! I'm going to kill you!" The frightening scream made young Percy cringe even more.
"Stop, stop it please, you're drunk" The woman's desperate scream made Percy's eyes water.
the sound of breaking glass, the woman's whimpers, and the man's cruel screams had Percy starting to pray to whatever god or demon was listening.
"Please! Save my mother! Please" Percy cried shaking as he curled up and the screams continued.
He wanted to go help his mother, but at the same time, he was scared to death of the monster that was his stepfather.
Percy blamed himself, he hated himself for not being able to defend his mother. All he wanted was to have the strength and power to defeat the evil monster that was Percy's stepfather!
he continued to pray, putting all his hate, all his love for his mother, all his anger, all his hope into that prayer!
Even so, God didn't respond and the screams started to scare Percy.

"I would do anything! I just want to save my mother!" Percy cried, clenching his fists
he could hear his mother's moans getting smaller and smaller, he would do anything to save his mother, even selling his soul to the devil himself

"I swear allegiance to Mother Gaia, I offer my soul to Mother Gaia" Percy shouted with all his might "Please save my mother!"

"Stop Gabe" Sally Jackson tried everything to get her drunk husband off her
She no longer had any strength, she had been punished and taken many blows, The only thing that kept her fighting was her son who was in the room.
If Gabe got past her who knows what the drunk man would do to Percy
"Why don't you give up you damn bitch" Gabe shouted punching and slapping Sally who defended herself with her arms trying her best to hold the weight of Gabe's fist
But, the difference in strength was too great, she couldn't even hold 20% of the power of the man's blows and with time her strength ran out leaving her defenseless for the rest of the blows
she could only feel the pain of each blow hitting her, Sally was almost losing consciousness when the sound of a bottle breaking brought her to her senses!
"what do you want boy, let go of that damn bottle" Gabe shouted angrily and Sally's eyes widened, was Percy there? She felt Gabe's weight on her slip away which brought her to reality.
"No Percy" Sally stood up quickly and what she saw was scary
Her son who would never hurt a fly was on top of Gabe's bleeding corpse with a giant gash on his neck.
The bottle was in Percy's hands and Percy's eyes were a mix of sea green and sickly green full of innocent malice, as if he were a cruel and innocent snake.
"Percy?" Sally called and the boy's eyes returned to normal.
"Mommy!" Percy cried as he ran to Sally desperately, "Are you okay Mom?"
Sally hugged Percy and started crying with him "I'm fine, my son, I'm fine, come on! Let's get out of here!"
Sally took Percy's hand and the two of them walked out the door and disappeared into the world.
