Hello everyone and welcome to my new story; I hope you all like this story as it was suggested by my friend Wendy. Just to throw this out there I do not own Naruto or any other series I write about. Also just to point this out; I have taken minor inspiration from the series "Deadman Wonderland" and "the Future Diary" for one of my OC's but everything else is all original. Now then without anything else to say let's begin.

Virtue and Venom: Chapter 1

Konoha: 15 Minutes after Naruto stole the Scroll of sealing

Naruto was running through the forest as he was trying to reach the meeting site to find Mizuki sensei 'man I can't believe how easy that was' Naruto thought 'the old man didn't stand a chance when I busted out my sexy jutsu' Naruto chuckled. On Naruto's back was a giant scroll that Mizuki told him was inside the Hokage's office for his make-up exam.

'Hehe graduation here I come' Naruto thought; as Naruto continued through the forest he then tripped as his foot got caught on something. "What the hell" Naruto said as he looked down and saw that his foot got caught on a metal latch 'huh… a latch' Naruto thought as he began to move the dirt away.

Upon moving 3 inches of dirt Naruto saw that there was something buried; there was a small metal door buried underneath the ground. "What the hell is a door doing out here; and why is it buried" Naruto asked himself; Naruto then opened the door and saw a ladder 'do I go down or do I go on with the exam' Naruto pondered. 'A quick peek shouldn't hurt' Naruto thought as he began to climb down the ladder.

Upon reaching the bottom Naruto took out his flashlight and saw a hallway; Naruto began to walk down the hallway not knowing what was on the other side. After walking for what seemed like 10 minutes Naruto finally reached the end and saw a giant metal door; when he shined his flash light he saw writing all over the door.

"Danger, don't open, evil, run" Naruto read out loud and began to grow nervous; he then saw inside the lock to the metal door was a key. Naruto put his hand on the key and pondered if her should open the door or not 'come on Naruto; you can do it' Naruto thought as he turned the key and opened the door.

Upon entering Naruto turned off his flashlight as the room was illuminated by a green light; when he entered the room he saw computers, machines, and a giant glass tube in the room.

"Woah" Naruto said as he approached the glass tube, he saw that there was some kind of strange liquid inside it; As he moved his face up to it, he thought he saw something; he then came to a horrible realization. There was somebody inside the glass tube.

"Holy crap" Naruto shouted as he jumped back; Naruto took a moment to catch his breath and then looked back at the tube. Naruto didn't know what it was but he knew that he couldn't live with himself if he left who ever it was inside that tube; Naruto went around the room looking for something until he got to the other side of the tube.

Naruto saw a red button that said emergency release; without hesitation he hit it and an alarm began to go off.

"Emergency release, emergency release; stand back" the voice said as the tube began to open and all the green liquid began to drain out. Once the tube was completely open Naruto took a look inside and was shocked by what he saw.

He saw a skinny naked girl with long black hair and pale skin around his age with tubes sticking out of her limbs and a tube running down her throat; Naruto rushed over and began to un-hook her and remove the tube from her throat. Naruto put his head to her chest and heard a heartbeat but she wasn't breathing; Naruto turned her onto her stomach and began to hit her back.

After a few hits she began to cough and spit up more of the green fluid; she then opened her eyes a little and spoke.

"P-p-p-p" she tried to speak.

"Hey can you hear me" Naruto asked "what is it; what are you trying to say" Naruto asked as he listened.

"Play" she said before she passed out cold; Naruto seeing this turned her over and blushed. He had completely forgot that she was naked; Naruto took off his jacket and used it to cover her.

"I'm taking you too the old man" Naruto said "screw the test; I can make it up once, I can make it up again" he said as he picked her up and began to make his way out of the tunnel.

At the Hokage tower

"When we find him, we kill him" a shinobi shouted and a roar of cheers came.

"Uzumaki went to far this time" another shouted "he's not going to get away this time" he said.

"Enough" Hiruzen Sarutobi yelled "You will not kill Naruto; I'm sure there is a- "he began until he was interrupted.

"Ji-ji" came a familiar shout; as Hiruzen and the rest of the shinobi present turned they saw a unusual sight. Naruto Uzumaki the boy they were just about to go look for, who had the forbidden scroll strapped onto his back, was carrying a pale unconscious girl with black hair. "Ji-ji" Naruto shouted once again as he walked up to the Hokage "you gotta help; I don't think she's ok" Naruto said as he laid the girl down on the ground.

"Naruto who is this" Hiruzen asked and Naruto shrugged.

"I don't know; I found her in a weird room in the woods" Naruto said making Hiruzen confused "I was on my way to meet with Mizuki sensei for my make up exam; but then I found a weird room with machines and stuff and I found her inside" Naruto said.

"Wait hold up" a shinobi said walking up "make up test; what do you mean make up test" he asked Naruto and Naruto looked confused.

"Uhh the test where I steal a scroll form the Hokage tower" Naruto said "the test where if I pass I can become a genin" he said.

The Shinobi then slapped his fore head "and you said who told you to do this" he asked Naruto.

"Uhhh Mizuki sensei" Naruto said "why" he asked.

Hiruzen then stood up "anbu" he shouted "find Mizuki and arrest him" Hiruzen ordered; he then pointed to Naruto "Naruto you and the girl are coming with me to the hospital" he said as he picked up the girl and he began to lead Naruto to the hospital.

2 hours later

Naruto and Hiruzen were sitting inside a private wing of the hospital waiting for news of their new guest; just then the door opened and the hokage's private physician walked out.

"What did you find out Kaneda" Hiruzen asked and the doctor looked down at his note pad.

"Unknown female; age 12 to 14, Blood type: Unidentifiable, heavily malnourished, heavily dehydrated, legs and arms are underdeveloped from non-use, brain scans are normal, Eye Color: Silver, Skin: so pale that I don't think she has ever seen sunlight" the doctor said and Hiruzen and Naruto looked at him I disbelief.

"Are you serious" Naruto asked and the doctor nodded.

"Yes, I am young man" the doctor said "if what you said is true and you found her inside a tube; she may have been in there for years" he said shocking Naruto. Hiruzen then narrowed his eyes.

'Is it possible' Hiruzen thought 'is this young lady one of Orochimaru's experiments' he thought.

Just then they heard a crash come from the room the doctor was just in and all 3 rushed inside.

Upon entering they saw the girl they found on the floor "owww" she whined "that hurt" she said as she tried to get back up but she couldn't.

"Hold up" Naruto said before rushing over "let me help you" he said as he began to lift her back up onto the bed. "There you go" Naruto said as he put her down; as Naruto looked at her, he saw her face. She had a cute face that made her seem like a doll, her black hair flowed behind her and her silver eyes hypnotized him.

"Thank you, orange boy," she said with a smile; Naruto couldn't help but grin.

"You're welcome" Naruto said "but my name is Naruto" he said.

"Naruto" she repeated with a tilt of her head.

"Yeah, that's my name" Naruto said "what's your name" he asked. The girl looked up with her finger on her chin; she then began to scratch her head and began to groan.

"I don't remember" she said. Naruto, Hiruzen and the doctor all looked at her puzzled; what kind of girl doesn't have a name. "Hey where am I" she asked and Hiruzen answered.

"You're in Konoha young lady" Hiruzen said "I'm the hokage; the leader of the village" he said; the girl then looked at him funny.

"Why are you so weird" she said which confused Hiruzen "you are wrinkly and hairier and your voice is super low" she said. Hiruzen then chuckled.

"Of course; I'm an old man" he said "now the young lady please get some sleep; you need to get your sleep" Hiruzen said and the girl nodded. As the girl laid back down Hiruzen, Naruto and the doctor left the room.

"This stays between us 3 and the Anbu I have guarding the room" Hiruzen said seriously "I don't want any harm coming to this girl; Naruto" Hiruzen said. "I'm going to pass you and make you a genin" Hiruzen said; Naruto's eyes became wide but before he could say anything Hiruzen stopped him.

"Before you start cheering, I got to warn you" he said "I'm passing you because I need you to do a mission; a S-class mission" Hiruzen said.

Naruto gulped as he became nervous "what's the mission" Naruto asked nervously.

Hiruzen then kneeled down and spoke "I don't know who this girl is but I know who may be responsible; and if I'm right they are going to come after her. I need you to protect her with your life Naruto" Hiruzen said. Naruto took in the info and nodded.

"Ok ji-ji; I accept" Naruto said with determination; Hiruzen nodded.

"Good and one last thing Naruto" Hiruzen said "you are not safe" he said making the boys eyes go wide. "You now have a target on your back Naruto; I don't know who or when but someone is coming for you and the girl and you need to be ready" the hokage said. "Here Naruto" Hiruzen said handing him 2 scrolls "you always wanted to know why you were hated; this scroll will explain everything" Hiruzen said and Naruto looked at it nervously "the other one has 3 justu that I believe you'll find useful; now go home and get some rest. You also have your team selection in a week; don't be late" Hiruzen said.

"Thank you, ji-ji," Naruto said as he began to walk away "hey ji-ji" Naruto said turning around; "can I come back and see her tomorrow" Naruto asked.

"Of course," Hiruzen said "after all it's your mission to watch her" Hiruzen said; Naruto then turned around and walked out of the hospital without a word.

The next morning

Hiruzen was sitting inside his office when an Anbu in a cat mask came in "cat report" Hiruzen said and the anbu put a file down on the table.

"We swept the lab lord Hokage" she said "and… well… you need to read it to believe it" she said; Hiruzen picked up the file and opened it up. Most of the file was redacted; but what remained was just as surprising.

When Hiruzen put down the file he had a look of surprise, horror and confusion all rolled up into one "my god" Hiruzen said as he rubbed the bald spot on the top of his head. "Is it true" he asked and the anbu nodded.

"Yes sir" she said "the lab hasn't been opened in years; without a doubt it's true" she said.

As the file laid on the top of Hiruzens desk there were only 5 lines that were left un-redacted.
