I Mean, I can always be a Farmer
Disclaimers I don't own RWBY, please support any to all official releases.
Well it happened, the cat got out of the bag and Jaune had to pay the consequences of coming to Beacon Academy in false transcripts and for being severely unprepared.
Right now he was in his dorm room sitting on his bed, his suit case was packed, but his flight wouldn't depart for another 2 hours, surrounded by his team and his sister team for his final moments.
"Jaune we're sorry this had to happen" said Pyrrha sympathetically, "I mean if we're being honest, I'm surprise this hasn't caught up to him sooner" said Weiss as Blake nudged her to button her lip.
"You know what Weiss, you're right, but still I felt like I've already earned my place here" said Jaune, "You did come here on your first day, with no prior training, you're aura having yet to unlock, and yet you managed to lead in the slaying of a Deathstalker" listed of Nora.
"More then definite defining achievements for a novice huntsmen, and that's using the term generously now" said Blake, "You're not wrong, but honestly it can be argued it was dumb luck and me being surrounded by you guys that I managed to survive and pass" said Jaune.
"Hey don't sell yourself short now vomit boy, I mean, look you're getting the boot now, but I'm pretty sure if you were to rewrite your application with those current achievements, and if you applied yourself in your free time now, you'll be back here with us in no time" said Yang.
"I'd definitely vouch for you" said Ren with a supportive smile, "And me too, you're our friend Jaune and we won't leave you behind" said Ruby as everyone spoke in agreement.
Knowing he had this much new found support waiting for him to return, Jaune definitely felt determined to work hard to come back sooner than later, at least until Glynda's sudden arrival.
"Mr. Arc, students" greeted Glynda, "No worries Miss Goodwitch, I've already got my things packed, I'm just waiting for the cargo ship to arrive" said Jaune innocently.
"You have nothing to worry about Mr. Arc, I've merely came here to hand this telegram to you" said Glynda as she handed the sealed letter to her former student.
"Telegram? What's that" asked Yang, "It was a way to send messages or letters across cities and kingdoms, you know before they invented the phone or internet for that matter" explained Blake.
"Ok, but who would send Jaune such an outdated means to send a message" asked Ruby as Jaune had long since read and scan the telegram letter for the second time now.
"Jaune, is everything ok" asked Pyrrha, "Huh? Oh yeah, just uh… my uncles, my great uncles I should say are both dead" said Jaune.
"Oh Jaune, I'm so sorry" said Pyrrha, "It's fine, honestly they've been saying they've been meaning to die for a while now" said Jaune as he began to oddly crack a warm smile.
"Miss Goodwitch, would it be asking to much to ask for the pilot to change the course of my ride, I need to head to TRB" asked Jaune, "I can certainly make arrangements, I do apologize for your loss Mr. Arc" said Glynda.
"Thank you" said Jaune as Glynda left her students to themselves.
"So wait, where are going to now" asked Ren as he wasn't familiar of any place called TRB.
"TRB, or The Red Barn town, that's where my uncles are from and were at last time I checked on them" said Jaune.
"The Red Barn town, I don't think I've heard of such a town" commented Pyrrha, "It's a border town, so you'd be forgiven for never hearing about it" said Jaune.
"So… what you plan to do once you get there" asked Yang, "Settle any affairs leading to my uncles wake, and most likely doing that one thing I told you a while back Pyrrha" said Jaune.
"And what was that" asked Pyrrha, "Become a farmer and maybe retire from huntsmen life" said Jaune as this bit of news shocked everyone.
"But Jaune, why" asked Ruby, "It's a long story, so long in fact that I seriously don't have time to tell you guys about it" said Jaune as this left his friends feeling unsatisfied and more concern for his wellbeing.
"No worries, just give me some time and I'll be more than happy to tell you guys the full story" said Jaune, "Ok, but we're gonna hold you to that Jaune" said Yang.
Eventually time would came where it was time for Jaune to say goodbye to his friends and possibly leave the life of a huntsmen goodbye, but that and his reasons for doing things as they all are, are all stories to be told for another day.
Hey guys, I know it's ben a while since I've written anything of any kind of content, but honestly this past month has been shit to me, and I've literally been going back and forth with so many potential story ideas and I've either felt unmotivated, it was lacking any true passion, or you know it got lost in a brain rave.
Otherwise this little intro is here to hopefully interest you guys as it interest me to finally break my terrible writers slump, so please be sure to like, follow, and leave a review to show your support.
Until next time, be safe, be good people, and please support your local fandom communities.
This had been your Humble Narrator and official author Tobi Yaza. =3
