Back at beacon, the rest of Team RWBY are just chilling in their dorm room, except for Yang who hasn't heard from her sister in ages.
Weiss: Yang, take it easy, I'm sure Ruby is fine.
Blake: Yeah, maybe she just doesn't have internet on her scroll or something.
Yang: *sigh* I guess so…
Weiss: What's all the commotion about?
Weiss pointed outside the window where students were gathered around near the landing pad. The three headed out towards the crowd, Team JNPR was already there as well.
Blake: What's going on?
Jaune: *points at the sky* those.
In the sky were airships shaped like a crescent moon, there were at least seven. One was hovering over the launch pad, from the ship, came some flying robotic beetles who began to construct something on the launch pad. Within a few minutes the Beatles (otherwise known as Builder Scarbs) had constructed a portal. (The portal was constructed from remains of an old Eldar webway gate the Necrons had programmed for themselves). Necron Warriors began pouring out of the portal, followed by a big three legged robot.
Szeras: BEACON ACADEMY! THE NECRONS HAVE TAKEN OVER, YEILD AND BOW DOWN AND YOU WILL BE SPARED, DON'T YEILD AND YOU WILL BE WIPED OUT!
Every student in Beacon took out their scroll and clicked them, summoning their rocket boosted lockers with their weapons inside them. Then they all got into a battle stance.
Coco: We don't know who you are, but if you think we will surrender without a fight, YOU CAN JUST AS WELL GO BACK TO HELL!
The students cheered after Coco's remark, boosting their morale by a lot.
Szeras: VERY WELL THEN… NECRONS, DESTROY EVERYTHING AND ANYONE IN YOUR PATHS!
The Necrons and the students charged into battle. Yang Began to punch the hell out of the Necrons, knocking them down and decommissioning them one by one. Blake and Weiss began to take care of the Doom and Night Scythes along with Nora and Ren from team JNPR. Jaune and Pyrrha helped Yang to diminish the horde along with many other students. But more Necrons came from the portal, Flayed Ones, Deathmarks, Immortals and even Tomb Blades emerged from the portal. Eventually, the teachers realised what was going on and began to fight alongside the students.
Glynda: Yang, Weiss and Blake. Ozpin wishes to see you.
Yang: Now?!
Glynda: Yes, he needs your help immediately, we'll handle these.
The Trio headed off to see Ozpin. Coco and Velvet used their ranged weapons to take down the Tomb Blades which were causing a lot of problems for them. Suddenly, Velvet noticed Many of the Fallen Necrons were getting back up and rebuilding themselves.
Velvet: They come back to life!
Coco: They what!?
Cardin: Not all of them, Any of them who's heads explode into green sparks don't come back!
Velvet: So aim for the heads?
Cardin: No, It's a 10/90 chance to kill them for good.
Professor Port: I believe what Mr Winchester says is true, I believe it is called the Overkill effect.
Pyrrha: Keep fighting!
Jaune: It's no use if they keep coming, we need to destroy that portal!
Velvet: Are you nuts?!
Jaune: It's the only way!
Jaune rushed towards the Portal, Blocking enemy attacks and hitting Necrons out of his way in hopes of destroying the portal. But he was instead met with Szeras.
Szeras: You've got guts thinking you can just destroy the Webway gate. But you are gonna have to go through me first!
Ozpin: We don't have a lot of time, Miss Rose is going to need you.
Yang: What about Beacon?
Ozpin: The teachers and students are more than capable of dealing with that. Miss Rose however has no idea that she will encounter a foe of which she has no clue on how to fight, she will need her team to help her.
Weiss: We don't even know where she is!
Ozpin: I can teleport you to where She had been last seen, after that you must go towards haven, this map will help you.
Yang: Understood sir.
Ozpin: Good luck…
Yang, Blake and Weiss were teleported to where Ruby was last seen just as Ozpin headed upstairs to join the fight himself.
Neo, Roman and Ruby had arrived at a town. It was quite small, so the Inn had plenty of rooms. They all sat in the lobby whilst waiting for their rooms to be ready. Eventually the news came on.
News rep: According to recent studies, the Grimm are no longer as big as a threat as they used to be. Scientists have found out that the Grimm had become weaker.
Roman: Salem's death seems to have affected the Grimm.
Neo: Yeah, I'm surprised that they haven't just ceased to exist.
News rep: In other news, a new threat seems to have appeared in Vale as our surveillance drones have caught something extraordinary!
Ruby finally paid attention to the news.
News rep: An all out war is happening on the grounds of Beacon academy, Students have been seen fighting alongside teachers against a new threat worse than the White Fang and the Grimm combined! We see this new threat coming through a portal with a giant robotic thing fighting against a blonde boy with a basic sword and shield!
Ruby: Jaune!
Neo: Someone you know I presume?
Ruby: Yes…
The multiple camera angles of the battle began to fade one by one as each camera drone lost signal. The final drone fell onto the battlefield with an ominous figure with a staff standing over it.
?: This is a message to this world, The Grimm's leader has fallen and a new challenger approaches. All hail Szarekh, Silent King of the Necrons!
The figure stabbed the drone, causing the screen to fade black.
News rep: We will be right back after these short messages.
The news turned off, leaving the trio flabbergasted.
Roman: Beacon is under siege, It's like Salem's plan has been put into motion but the Necrons have replaced the Grimm…
Neo: Why though?
Ruby: They must be trying to destroy their biggest threats. Beacon is only the first school they attacked, they must be after Haven next.
The rooms were prepared, Roman wanted a room to himself causing Neo and Ruby to have to share a room. Neo had picked up a few books from the library nearby, they seemed to be about the Necrons and their many rivals.
Neo: Fascinating, there are other factions similar to Necrons!
Ruby: Like?
Neo: Well there are the Eldar, ancient enemies of the Necrons, but they would probably try to take over. Or the Space marines but same problem.
Ruby: Anyone who would help us but not try to take over?
Neo: Probably not.
Neo closed the book and placed it back into her backpack.
Neo: So.. who gets the bed?
Ruby: Rock paper scissors?
Neo: Sure.
Neo and Ruby: Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!
Neo: *plays rock*
Ruby: *plays paper* yes!
Neo: I'll just sleep on the floor.
Ruby: We could share it?
Neo: Why the fuck would we do that?
Ruby: It's better than the floor.
Neo: *sigh* Fine, but DON'T try anything funny or I WILL stab you in your sleep.
Ruby: What did you think I was gonna do?
Neo: Whatever, I'm going to go change.
While Neo changed in the bathroom, Ruby was changing herself. When Neo came out of the bathroom, Ruby was already in the bed. Thankfully for the two, it was a master bed, so they didn't need to be too close to each other. Neo got in the bed and fell asleep almost instantly alongside Ruby.
Roman: Rise and shine kids, we need to get goi-…
Roman had entered Ruby and Neo's room, only to see Neo hugging Ruby in her sleep. Neo has shifted a lot the night before and must have ended up hugging Ruby in the meantime.
Roman: C'MON GET UP!
Ruby and Neo both slowly opened their eyes, though they weren't focussed on Roman, but rather Neo's arms.
Ruby: For someone who threatened me of doing anything, you sure are giddy!
Neo immediately let go of Ruby and hit her on the back of the head, as she then proceeded to enter the bathroom to change.
Roman: I think she likes ya Red.
Neo: I HEARD THAT!
Roman smiled evilly as he left the room. Neo and Ruby both got dressed, took their stuff and headed to the lobby where Roman was waiting. The news was once again on and Roman was really focused on it.
News rep: Though the battle was tough, Beacon prevailed. Unfortunately they did suffer a few casualties. I will now read out the list of names of students that were found alive and in beacon at the moment. Velvet Scarletina, Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos, Cardin Winchester, Percy O'Brien,… Lie Ren and finally, Fredrick Hart.
Roman: Jeez, that many students survived, they must be good at fighting huh? Red?
Ruby was Crying, she hadn't heard Weiss, Blake or Yang from the list.
Roman: Kid?
Neo: Her team wasn't mentioned.
Roman: Not even one of them?
Ruby shook her head.
Roman: Ya know, they DID say students that were alive and were on the school premise after the attack. Maybe your team escaped?
Ruby: Why would they leave a battle?
Neo: Why did you leave Beacon in the first place?
Ruby: Ozpin…
Neo: I know your sister, she's strong, The chances of her being dead I'd say are like 5%.
Ruby: You're right, Let's go!
Roman: Attagirl!
The Trio left the Town and arrived to another Town which seemed to have recently been attacked.
Ruby: Split up, try to find survivors!
The Three split off. Roman searched a nearby house and entered its basement. He was immediately ambushed by a group of 5 Lychguard. The Lychguard knocked him to the ground and tried to stab him, but Roman used his Cane to block their attacks. Neo went down an alleyway and was met with 2 Cryptothrails, the same ones that had killed Cinder. Behind them were a couple of Deathmarks who began to shoot at her. She opened her Parasol and took out her blade to fend of the Cryptothrails who had jumped over the Hush and behind her. Ruby went to the centre of the village and was met face to face with Imospekh and a Triarch stalker. Ruby charger for Imospekh but was shot by The Triarch Stalker who then proceeded to put it's heavy leg over Ruby and pinning her to the ground.
Imospekh: Foolish girl, you thought that you could defeat us? Pathetic! As we speak your two friends are being attacked, you have no chances!
?: That's where you're wrong!
Imospekh: What the-
Weiss Schnee appeared and knocked Imospekh back causing the Triarch Stalker to focus on her letting Ruby go. Torchwick meanwhile was struggling against the Lychguard until Blake showed up and fought held them back with her own blade, allowing Roman to get up and fire his cane at the Lychguard. Neo was about to give in to the Cryptothrails constant attacks, but soon realised the Deathmarks stopped shooting at her. She looked back and saw a familiar blonde girl ripping the Deathmarks apart. Neo inserted her Blade into her Hush and shattered to glass, confusing the Cryptothrails and allowing Yang to Kill one of them as Neo reappeared behind them and Killed the other.
Ruby: You may have the numbers, but what we have is special.
Imospekh: WHat is IT?
Ruby: Friendship!
Ruby charged for Imospekh, as Weiss attacked the Triarch Stalker. Weiss froze its legs and used her electric dust to do massive damage to the vehicle, causing the driver to jump out with his melee weapon. The driver was terrible at melee compared to Weiss, the driver soon perished as the Triarch Stalker exploded a few feet away from Weiss. Ruby on the other hand used Crescent Rose to cut off or shoot the Hexmark Destroyer's arms. Imospekh was soon left defenceless as Blake, Yang, Roman and Neo arrived soon after.
Imospekh: WhO Do YOu ThINk YoU ARe?!
Ruby: I am Ruby Rose, and these are my team members.
Ruby cut the robot's head off in one quick swipe of her scythe, ending the battle and leaving team WBY to argue with team RNR.
