"Gregory? Gregory!" Freddy trends the dark building, area after area, cautious as to not accidentally squish his friend. So far, he hadn't been successful in his search. Freddy sighed in frustration upon viewing another empty room. "I knew I should have convinced him to stay with me…" His words trailed off as he searched another room.

The lights had come back on, at least they can be an additional aid in his search. Chica calling for him halts his attempt. "Chica, what is wrong?"

"It's Gregory!" Chica pulls him with urgency. "Moon found him unconscious, they're in the daycare, come on!"

Because the lights were back on, it would be Sun's attendance. Roxy kneeled next to him. In between them laid Gregory unconscious, bruised and bleeding.

"Gregory?" Freddy kneels in despair at the sight of his friend.

"He's alive, but really banged up. I can't tell the exact extent of his injuries, other than the need for a multitude of bandaids." Sun carefully turned the unconscious child over to examine his backend. "Could one of you do a quick scan?"

Meanwhile, Gregory had been slowly regaining consciousness unbeknownst to them. He winced at a painful bulge and tears of anger came at not being where he should. He should be dead. He wanted to be dead. Then he felt hands lifting up his shirt and screamed. "No!" He scatters from his startled attackers in pain and fear. One of them slowly approaches him and he cries. "No! Get away from me!"

"Gregory! Gregory, it is me!" Freddy exclaims gently in which the latter realizes and runs into his arms. "It is okay, you are safe now."

"Oh, you poor thing," Chica joins the hug. "We've been looking for you everywhere!"

Sun had returned with a first aid kit and set it in the middle and pats the child's head sympathetically. "Ouch! Those are some nasty bruises!"

Immediately, Gregory pulls away from Freddy's and Chica's embrace. "I'm fine."

"Don't be stubborn, we can't let those things get infected." Roxy retorts.

"I said I'm fine!"

Freddy motioned for them to back off, noting Gregory's anger and redirecting the child's attention to him. "Gregory, please forgive our insistence. You had been carried in here unconscious. We just need to make sure that you are okay."

He watches closely as Gregory starts considering his words, before his eyes get glossy. He is not okay.

It didn't help that the continued interrogation from the others slowly stewed the child's face red.

"Stop it! I'm fine, okay?! I fell down the stairs when the power got redirected. That's it, geez!"

Freddy shakes his head, feeling his own system flaring with anger. "It was Dale, was it?"

"No."

"Gregory, you are not telling the truth and I will not let him continue to do this to you. Please tell me, did Dale hit you?"

"No Freddy! Leave it alone!" Gregory screamed at him. His explosiveness startles them. Gregory took off running, ignoring his friends calling him.

"Freddy?" Roxy spots the former walking away. "Freddy?"

"No!" He shouts. "Do not follow me. You three, find Gregory and stay with him." He orders in an unlike tone.

"Where are you going?!"

"To have a word with Dale."

"I'm not seeing anything, Monty." Dale spoke after completing an analysis. The gator lays in the machine, growing frustrated at this internal torment.

"I've been at this place for years and ain't never had a problem! Ever since that code got implemented in my system, I haven't been seeing right!"

"I highly doubt it was the coding." Dale scoffs. "But to be on the safe side, I'll extract it and run tests for viruses." As the mainframe pulls the requested codes, Monty sees his vision getting clearer. Finally.

"Dale!" Freddy's enraged voice booms across the barrier. It startled Monty. He never heard that angry voice. He didn't think Freddy was capable of getting angry, and if he did, it would be because of Monty, given the amount of times they've clashed.

Dale sucked his teeth. "Oh my God, what does he want? I'll be back, Monty." Dale plants a fake smile as he approaches the bear. "Freddy! What's popping –"

"Enough! I ought to rip that smirk off your face!"

"Geez, what pissed you off Fazbear?"

"How dare you put your hands on Gregory! How dare you! Have you no shame?!"

"Whatever he told you is a lie. I've been minding my job, don't blow a fuse."

"Do not try to fool me. I have seen the bruises and I will not be fooled. I know it was you and I am putting an end to you terrorizing him!"

"Ok then, prove it Fazbear." Dale's smirk remerges. "You need to have proof, right? Oh wait, I forgot. Yours is live, but I have access to any security footage at my disposal. I can delete any clippings of my choosing." The guard smirks deepens. "I would be very careful of who I'm talking to, if I were you, Freddy. I have the authority over your updates on Saturday. Don't test me enough to do something that'll put you up to decommission!"

"You will not be able to work here tomorrow, I will make sure of that!"

"Okay, you shouldn't have too much time left. It's almost six, management will be here at any moment. I think some of them might be here already."

"Do NOT test me!"

"You're a bot, nothing but property assets whose values are inadequate, but go ahead, complain all you want. However, I do need to remind you that no one else knows that he's here. If I show the police little Gregory roaming about the place, corporate won't hesitate to charge him for damage to property and trespassing."

"What are you playing at Dale?"

"I don't play games that I've already won. I'll be gone Saturday night, and I'm taking Gregory with me."

"Over my dead body!"

"Then try to stop me, Freddyboy. You don't have anything on me that I can't turn around and use against you. And even if they do suspect me, management won't bother to find a last minute replacement. Not with critical updates that have to be made to keep the money coming."

The guard glees in the animatronic seething. "You don't scare me, even for a thousand pound robot. You don't have what it takes to shred a poor innocent guard apart. It's just not in your programming, so stay in your place and stay out of my way, got it?" He walked away. "See you later, Fredbear."

"We will see about that, Norton." Freddy scoffs and leaves in the other direction.

In the silent hallway, Dale chuckles. "Yes, yes we will."
