Author's Note: This isn't the best match I've written. I struggled a bit with it yesterday. Honestly, I don't know what happened. I ended up just going with it. There isn't much to say this week. Don't worry. Next week will be so much better. In fact, we shall see how Ju is doing. And it will be so much better. For now, enjoy this week's match.

Match Twelve: Plague Doctor in Red:

Ju isn't the only one who's seen "her".

"Ju? Ju?"

The clan leader jerked her head upward. Bik sat across from her at the table. Ju blinked at her for a moment.

"Huh?" she asked. It took her a moment to put everything together in her head. The nurse cocked her head to the side.

"Are you okay?" she asked. "You were zoning out there on me." Ju stared at her for a moment.

"Oh… Oh, sorry about that," she said. "Just thinking about something else. What were we talking about again?" Bik didn't have an easy look on her face.

"We were talking about how you were dealing with the witches harassing you. Remember? Are you sure you're okay?" she asked.

"Oh…" Ju said. "We're fine. I'm fine." Bik leaned back in her chair.

"What's bothering you?" she asked. Ju put her arms behind her head.

"You'll think I'm crazy," she said.

"Try me," the nurse said. The clan leader drew her mouth closed as she stared at her. She looked around for a bit.

"Well… it's that plague doctor," Ju said.

"Again?" Bik asked. The clan leader stared at her.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"You've told me about this before," the nurse said. The clan leader blinked for a moment.

"Have I?" she asked. Bik nodded. The clan leader leaned back in her chair.

"Hm," she said. Ju looked confused as she tried to remember.

"What about them?" Bik asked. The clan leader looked at her.

"Hm? Well, not much," she said. "I just keep dreaming about her for some reason."

"Her?" the nurse asked. Ju shrugged and shook her head.

"I don't know. It just feels like a girl to me," she said. "I don't know how to explain it." She moved her hands around as she talked.

"Do you know what I mean?" Ju asked.

"Not really…" Bik said. The clan leader pouted.

"Oh," she said. Her mind started to wander off again. The nurse frowned at her. Ju put up her hand.

"Please… don't give me that look," she said.

"I didn't say anything," Bik said.

"Well… don't!" Ju said. "Please." She lowered her hand. The clan leader took a breath. The nurse just stared at her.

"Anything else? Are you okay, dear?" Bik asked. Ju turned to her with a big smile on her face.

"No," she said.

"No?" the nurse asked.

"No, there is nothing else. Yes, I am okay," the younger woman said. "Do you have anything else?"

"No," Bik said. "And I am okay."

"Good," Ju said. She got up and walked away from the table.

"Ju?" Bik asked.

"I'll talk to you later," the clan leader said. "I just need to step out for a while." Ju was already out the door before Bik could say a word. The nurse was just left at her table.

In truth, Bik had her concerns.

"She keeps talking about this plague doctor," she said. Hen-to shrugged at the table.

"Why is that?" he asked. His wife shook her head.

"I wish I knew," she said. Hen-to narrowed his eyes.

"What is she saying about it?" he asked. Bik sighed and put up her hands.

"She thinks it's a she," she said.

"Seriously?" her husband asked. The way he asked her caught her off-guard.

"Are you seeing her too?" Bik asked.

"What?" Hen-to asked. His wife gave him a stern look.

"Don't go crazy on me too," she said. The man put up his hands.

"I'm just saying," he said. "She might be on to something, you know?" Bik was now looking at him with unease in her eyes.

"What are you saying? Are you saying that this Plague Doctor is real?" she asked. Her voice started to tremble at one point.

"I don't know," Hen-to said. "She just might not be the only one to see it." Bik stared at him for a moment.

"Who else is there? Who else saw this plague doctor?" she asked. A flash of panic appeared in her eyes. Hen-to took her by the cheeks.

"Are you seeing her too?" he asked. Bik froze. She couldn't speak at first. Her eyes shifted away from him.

"Bik," he said.

"What does this mean?" she asked.

"I don't know," her husband said. Bik tried to look away from him.

"I'm scared," she whispered. "I can't explain it. It doesn't make any sense. What… What does it all mean? I… I…"

Hen-to kissed her on the forehead. She slowly closed her mouth.

"We are going to be fine," Hen-to insisted.

"But…" she said.

"Shhh," he whispered. Bik looked deep into his eyes. She should believe his words. Why would he lie to her about this? The clan was in good hands after all.

But still…

"Who else can see that Plague Doctor?" she asked.

"I don't know," he said. "Fei did mention something seeing her once."

"Was he sure?" Bik asked.

"I haven't gotten a chance to talk to him," Hen-to said. More worry filled Bik's eyes.

"What do we do now?" she asked. Her husband kissed her again.

"Honestly… I have no idea," he said. Despite her smile, his wife's stomach turned. She didn't know how to handle this. If she only really knew…

And it would all start with a nightmare.
