Cody brought out Loona's car from inside his infinite cube, and together, they drove to the south side of Pink Shore with Molly, Día, Summer, Kely, and Bloody Mary following close behind in Molly's car. Loona's demonic and badass version of a 1959 Cadillac Series 62 convertible painted in black with red flames was turning some heads. Molly's car was a demonic version of a convertible 1960 Buick Electra 225 – it was sparkling pink with red hearts all over.

On the way, they got a good look at the city, and just like Nightmare City, it was impressive. It was like Miami, and Las Vegas had a baby in Hell. The tall skyscrapers, the hotels, apartments, casinos, nightclubs, bars, and endless neon lights. The sun was almost done completely when they arrived, so it was nighttime on the south side.

The Tugboat bar was easy to find. It looked like a tugboat where half was sunk into the ground, and the other half pointed up at a slight angle. There were motorcycles, choppers, and hot rods parked outside. Loud rock music could be heard from outside, and the whole place, inside and out, had dozens of colorful neon lights. Everyone took a moment to gaze at it at its roughness.

"You didn't say it was a goddamn biker bar," Loona grumbled.

"It wasn't always one," Molly said with a sad frown.

"Well, it is now," Kely said with one hand on her hip and a disappointed face.

"Looks like the Thug Tug from the SpongeBob movie if it had more lights and demons," Cody spoke.

"It kinda does, actually," Bloody Mary agreed.

Día shrugged, "Eh, we've seen worse."

"Oh yeah, way worse. You guys don't wanna know where Valentino went for his birthdays," Summer added.

"Wait, hold up. Cody's not 21. Is he even allowed to go in there?" Kely asked.

"He's not allowed to drink, but he can legally go in there as long as he's accompanied by an adult, especially his legal guardian," Kyo answered, pointing to Loona.

"Um, yeah. There's no fucking way I'm letting Cody go in there," Loona stated.

"Loona, Cody is the most powerful and dangerous knight in all of Hell. You guys just took Slaughtersburg and the Blood Hills. Are you really worried about a biker bar?" Slade questioned.

"Yes! Because there are drugs, tits, STDs, and sick dickshits that like to touch kids in there. Do you seriously think for one nanosecond that I would let my Cody in there?" Loona questioned while holding Cody close.

"Loona, honey, we need Cody for this to work. We have no idea what Hector looks like or if he's even in there. Cody being there will draw him out," Blitzo said.

Cody looked up at Loona, "We'll be fine in there, Loona. We fought a major battle together. I know you're worried about my safety, but I can handle myself. Plus, you guys will be there with me. So, I'm not worried at all."

Loona glanced at the others before letting out a heavy sigh. She rubbed her eyes and forehead, "Fine, but you stick close to me like glue. Understand?"

Cody nodded, "Got it."

"And don't drink anything strangers give you. It's better you don't drink anything in there, but if you're thirsty, drink only canned soda and watch the bartender pour it in front of you to make sure nobody puts anything in it!" Loona ordered in a strict tone.

Cody nodded again, "For sure."

Slade sided with her, "Loona's more right than you realize. These bastards are fucking smart and as slick as oil and just as toxic. We'll be there with you, but stay frosty."

"He'll be fine, as will we. So, how are we approaching this?" Kyo asked.

"Well, we can't all go in there. That'll raise too much suspicion, especially if the babe who runs this town walks in there with him," Bloody Mary stated.

"Okay, how about this? Loona, Slade, Cody, Kely, Bloody Mary, Día, and Summer will walk in there. We'll pretend that Cody and Loona are in town for a few short days and here to celebrate. Molly, Millie, Moxxie, Kyo, and Octavia will provide overwatch with me hidden in the shadows. If something goes wrong, we'll be there. We'll be your eye in the sky," Blitzo proposed.

"That could work. I can provide us an invisibility spell and an intangibility spell allowing you to be both invisible and able to walk through solid material like walls and stuff," Octavia offered.

Molly squeed while clapping and hopping up and down, "Ooooh! This is getting exciting! Let's do it."

"I know that spell. I'll help," Cody said as they stood together.

They waved their hands and cited the spell together as their arms and eyes glowed. Slowly, their bodies turned see-through until they completely vanished. Via then cast the spell on herself to make herself invisible, too.

"That worked. So, we're pretending we're celebrating?" Cody asked.

"Yeah, pretending we're celebrating a victory, and we buy everyone drinks. Maybe tipping the bartender might loosen their lips about Hector," Slade suggested.

"Well, in that case," Cody opened his infinite cube and brought out several money rolls tied in rubber bands, "Who wants money? I got money coming out of my ears. Here you go."

"Oooh! I want some money!" Blitzo hollered as he ran over.

Using her high-sensing nose, Loona knew where Blitzo was even when invisible. Loona stopped him by face-palming him with Stolas's Grimoire before taking a money roll.

"Thank you, Cody," Día and Summer both said as they kissed Cody's face simultaneously, making him blush.

Bloody Mary took a roll, "Oh yeah, this will definitely loosen some lips."

They approached the front doors. Cody used his magic vision to see Blitzo, M&M, Kyo, and Octavia climb the walls and snuck in. Cody took a deep breath before exhaling. Then he readied his skull fedora hat. They went in, and at first, no one really noticed them – the demons inside were mostly Imp, baphomet, and Hellhound demons. There were some flaming skeleton demons and some gargoyles, too. They were minding their own business drinking, playing pool or darts, but then, one by one, they saw them. Their eyes widened, and then the music stopped.

Slade cleared his throat, "Slaughtersburg and the Blood Hills are ours! And Cody here," Slade put his hand on Cody's shoulder, "He and the Fallen Angels have taken more Overlords to their eternal grave."

Kely stepped forward while holding a money roll, "Which is why we're celebrating!"

She tossed it to the bartender, and he caught it.

"No one goes home thirsty tonight! Drinks on us!" Bloody Mary hollered.

There was a pause of silence followed by everyone cheering. The music kicked back on, and many demons rushed to the bar. It didn't take long for things to turn into a big party. Loona stuck to Cody like glue. Slade chatted with some demons while playing pool with them. Día and Summer flirted with others, using their beauty and charm to lure demons in, and of course, they got them talking. Bloody Mary danced and showed off her dart skills.

Both Slade and Bloody Mary were getting attention and even started taking bets. Cody's friends kept light on the alcohol, drinking only Firebeer. Cody drank a sparkling blue elixir called 'Cloud Rocks,' which tasted awesome and made you feel light as a cloud.

"Loona, this drink is awesome. You gotta try this," Cody said with a big smile and with glee.

"I don't know if you should be drinking this," Loona replied while taking the blue glass bottle.

"Come on, Loona. It's not alcoholic, and it's safe for anyone."

Loona glanced back and forth between him and the drink until she finally tried a sip. She nodded with a half-satisfactory grin.

"Okay, I like it. It's good," Loona stated before handing it back to him.

However, their happy party was interrupted by a group of shark, barracuda, and viper demons. They barged in cocky and hollering for drinks and for women to bang. All the other demons inside groaned and rolled their eyes.

"Bring on the drinks! Line them up! Line up the shots!" a viper demon cheered.

"Where are the honeys? Where are the bitches? I need to get laid tonight!" a shark demon added.

"Put the music up! The party is here!" a barracuda demon hollered.

No one said anything. In fact, they stopped the music. A giant and buff Imp demon with a big white mustache marched up to them with two other giant, strong demons.

"I told you fuckshits before, no pirates in this bar," the Imp demon stated.

"Pirates? Who said we're pirates? We're just fishermen out fishing," a shark demon said.

"I don't fucking care what you shitheads call yourselves. You're not allowed in this bar, so fuck off!" a Hellhound demon declared.

"I don't like mutts telling me to fuck off."

"Too bad, now fuck off!"

The shark demon growled and threw the first punch. The Hellhound demon dodged it and countered with a hard right uppercut punch, but the viper delivered a hard left hook to his face. Then they all pounced at each other, and it quickly turned into a big brawl with everyone gathering around them.

While they were distracted, Slade went over to the bar and slipped a few hundred dollar bills, "We're looking for a friend named Hector. Know where he is?"

The Imp bartender glanced at the cash before saying, "I saw him half an hour ago. He's downstairs playing poker. The door over there leads to it."

Slade nodded as the bartender took the cash. Loona, Cody, and Slade went for the door, but a guard stopped them.

"Where are you three going?" the Hellhound demon guard asked.

"To play poker. Is there a problem?" Loona questioned.

"House rules. You gotta pay to play."

Cody pulled out a money roll, "Is this enough?"

"Yeah, have fun, but don't expect refunds," the guard replied as he stepped aside and opened the door.

However, before they entered, more demons rushed through the front door, and one of them was a big mob boss moray eel demon with razor-sharp teeth. He had a dozen goons armed to the teeth with submachine guns and shotguns.

"Cody Laurent!" he roared.

Everyone turned to him. Cody recognized him. His name was Monty, a mob boss, pirate gang leader, and drug lord.

"You got some fucking nerve showing your fucking human face on my goddamn turf!" Monty stated.

Cody said nothing and crossed his arms. Loona and Slade pulled out their guns, ready to defend Cody. Then Monty smirked a grin.

"The VVV put a mighty big price on your cute little head . . . and I think I'm gonna collect it . . . and I think I'm gonna fucking collect it right now," Monty said as he pulled out a big demonic knife and a large revolver.

Loona growled and aimed her 44 magnum revolver at him, "Over my fucking dead body bitch!"

Everyone, including Slade and the rest of Cody's friends, drew their guns as well.

"Oh, feisty. I'm gonna enjoy your ass. I bet it's real tight."

Slade snarled a wolf-like growl, "Not unless I cut your fucking head off."

"You think I'm scared of you? A boy with two mangy mutts and some whores? I don't think so."

Kely and Bloody Mary stepped forward with Día and Summer – all of them were giving fierce glaring daggers. Día drew her guns, Summer's hands and eyes were glowing purple, Kely drew her sword, and Bloody Mary's eyes and hands were glowing blood red.

"Whores, huh? What does that make you after we kill you?" Kely questioned.

"I'm gonna enjoy this," Blood Mary said.

"Not as much as I'm gonna enjoy myself fucking you ladies until you can't stand, especially miss feisty there," Monty said.

Loona growled as she pulled back the hammer of her revolver. Then Cody chuckled as he clapped, and that got everyone's attention.

"Wow, just wow. You really are such an asshole, you know that? Buddy, you just made the biggest mistake of your life because not only did you insult my friends, you insulted my mother Loona . . . and she's got a very protective dad who doesn't like demons bad-mouthing her and . . . I got friends. Friends who are . . . very dangerous!" Cody hollered, raising his glowing arms and giving the signal.

Then Blitzo, Millie, Moxxie, Kyo, Octavia, and Molly dropped down. The invisible spell was gone. Without wasting a second, it quickly turned into a bloodbath. Blitzo, Millie, and Kyo zipped around, slicing and stabbing goons – Blitzo with his dagger and spiked baseball bat, Millie with her axe, and Kyo with his double swords. Moxxie, Día, and Molly danced a magnificent display of a bullet storm shredding thugs before they could even react. Bloody Mary and Summer also used their magic to slice up and shred enemies. However, Octavia was the most impressive. In her complete demon form, similar to Stolas's but black and purple, she ripped them apart, crushed them, and burned them alive with purple fire.

Loona and Slade didn't even need to do anything. When it was over, they were all dead, and the place was drenched in blood. Monty, now missing an arm with bad cuts and bullet holes, desperately tried to crawl away.

Blitzo stomped on his leg, "Now, what the fuck did you say that you wanted to do to my daughter? I'm sorry, I think I had some shit in my ears."

Molly walked over with a devilish smile, "And what did you call my girls? I can't remember the word. I remember it wasn't something nice."

Slade put his arms around Loona and Cody's shoulder, "I think we should go. They're gonna take their sweet time with him and make him scream."

"Agreed," Loona said.

As they went downstairs, there were big round tables with demons playing poker, blackjack, and liar's dice. There was one table close to the far end of the wall, three demons playing poker. Two were Imp demons, and one was a big male succubus demon, an incubus demon. He was buff and handsome.

"Which one of you is Hector?" Cody questioned.

The two Imp demons glanced at Cody and then turned to the incubus demon.

"Thanks for selling me out, guys," Hector said. Cody, Loona, and Slade approached him, "Whatever the Hell it is, I'm not interested, Sir Cody. Please go the fuck away."

"Would a letter from Moses telling me to look for you be of any interest?" Cody asked, holding up the letter.

Hector looked up from his cards before taking the letter to read it. He groaned a heavy sigh.

"Moses, you goddamn son of a bitch. Dragging me into this. Look, just go home. I can't help you," Hector said.

"Where's Gestas?" Loona questioned.

"Tell us where he is," Slade demanded.

"It doesn't matter. It's all a lost cause anyway. You can't stop what's coming," Hector said.

"We'll decide that. Now, where is he?" Loona asked again in an angry tone.

Hector said nothing.

Loona slammed her fist on the table and yelled, "Where is he, you fucking asshole?!"

Hector drew his gun, then Loona, Slade, Cody, and the other two Imp demons. No one said anything for a long moment. Everyone in the room stopped talking and playing – they backed away with their guns drawn.

Cody broke the silence, "We've reached an impasse. So, why don't we settle this in a different matter?"

"I'm open to ideas," one of the Imp demons said.

"Okay, how about this? A game of poker. No guns. If we win, you tell us where Gestas is," Cody proposed.

"And if I win?" Hector asked.

"Whatever you want."

Hector was silent for a long moment, "Okay, but if I win, I get the whole pot, and your blessing tipped 1911."

"Deal," Cody said.

"Not me. I'm out," one of the Imp demons said before walking away.

"Yeah, too rich for my blood," the other Imp demon said.

"Looks like it's you and us," Slade said.

"Fine, I got no problem beating all three of you," Hector said.

There was a large bowl where they put money and anything of value to wager. Cody and his friends put their money rolls and Cody's 1911 gun in the bowl.

As Hector reached for the deck of cards, Cody stopped him, "Hold it! We'll let a neutral party shuffle the cards so we know for sure that no one is cheating."

Hector growled, "Fine."

A female Hellhound volunteered to shuffle the cards – everyone else gathered to watch. Monty could be heard screaming upstairs as I.M.P. and Cody's new friends were torturing him.

"Your bet," she said.

Loona tapped the table, "Check."

Cody did the same, "Check."

Hector tossed two chips, "Bet, $500."

Slade tossed two chips, "Call."

They continued until they got to the 'river,' where all five cards on the table were revealed. Loona got Two Pair, Slade got a Flush, Hector got a Full House, but Cody got a higher Full House. This continued until Loona was out, then Slade, and it was down to Cody and Hector. The pot currently held $105,800 worth of money, jewelry, and gold, along with Cody's blessing tipped 1911. It was close, but Cody beat Hector's Full House with a Four of a Kind with Kings.

"Two Kings. Four of a Kind. Sir Cody wins," the female Hellhound stated.

Hector remained silent until he finally raised his head, "Do you really think you're going to make a difference? What's your endgame?"

"To beat the VVV and the I.S.N.A.. To protect my friends . . . and to make Hell a better place," Cody answered.

This got everyone's attention, and Hector laughed.

"Make Hell a better place? How the fuck are to do that?" Hector questioned.

"People think Hell is a horrible place of eternal torment and suffering. A place where the demons are mindless savages that feed on the despair of the wicked, sinful, and eternally damned. It's not. It's meant to be a place of punishment of evil. I aim to make that happen. Where demons are not shamed of what they are, but to be something that evil should be afraid of. When murderers, rapists, tyrants, liars, monsters, and psychopaths think twice about their actions, that is fear of what their fate will be. That is what I aim to make Hell. That is what I aim for demons to be. The punishers of evil," Cody explained.

While Hector narrowed his eyes, everyone else was slightly wide-eyed, impressed by Cody's visions.

"Whether you think there's hope or not, we're not leaving until you tell us where Gestas is," Cody stated.

Hector glanced around, noticing all eyes were on him. Some of the other demons even had their hands hovering over their guns.

Hector sighed, "I don't know where he is. I only know how to reach him," Hector pulled out a card and tossed it to Cody, "Call that number, say the call sign written on the bottom, then hang up. Someone will call you back in five minutes and tell you when and where to meet."

Cody, Loona, and Slade examined the card.

"Thank you," Cody said.

"Don't thank me. I don't see the point in any of it. We're all going to die anyway," Hector said.

"You're pathetic," Loona said.

Hector looked at as he sipped his drink.

"I've seen guys like you all the time. The tides of life wash away all the miserable saps like you who hang to the way it was," Loona stated.

Slade added, "Instead of mopping around, die like how you lived or at least how you should have lived. That's the way the way to go. Don't drag it out. Living like that doesn't mean a damn thing."

"Amen," Cody agreed.

However, as Cody and his two Hellhound friends collected their winnings, one item was missing – Cody's 1911. They panicked as they searched for it. Then Loona and Slade sniffed the air until Slade found a scent. He spotted an open-air vent. Then he summoned his Blue Moon Sword katana and sliced at two air duct parts. It fell, and an Imp demon came out. She dashed out up the stairs before anyone could get a good look at her.

"Stop her!" Loona yelled.

Everyone ran after her. They tried to capture her when they got upstairs, but she was fast. Moxxie tried to catch her, but she dodged him, wrapped her tail around his neck, and threw him toward Blitzo. Millie used her axe and took a couple of swings, but the Imp girl dodged them. When Kyo and Kely attacked her with their weapons, she blocked with a demonic kukri sword with one hand and a demonic Cold Steel Espada XL knife with the other. She grunted, using her strength to hold them off. Then she used her tail to drop a smoke bomb. Everyone was coughing. She escaped out the door but was stopped by Octavia's magic.

Octavia had her arms and legs held by glowing purple magic hovering a few feet in the air. Cody teleported outside next to Via. He was able to get a good look at her. She was around Cody's height and age, close to 14. She was beautiful and looked a lot like Millie but had long black and white hair tied up in a high ponytail like Cherri Bomb. She wore black jean shorts, a red t-shirt with a black pentagram star, and a black sleeveless hoodie. Cody, at first, was a little stunned by her beauty but then reminded himself to stay focused. He reached into her pockets, took back his 1911, and took her wallet. Cody's friends came out of the bar and joined Cody. Loona and Slade both had leather bags full of the pot money, jewels, and gold.

"Hey! Give me that back!" the Imp girl demanded.

Cody read her ID, "Kimberly. Your wallet pockets are empty. You didn't steal any of the money in the pot? Just my gun? Why?"

"Let me go!" Kimberly ordered.

"Answer his question, thief!" Octavia yelled.

"Via, calm down. Let her down," Cody said.

Octavia looked at her Cody, and he nodded to her. Via hesitantly let her down, but everyone kept their guns on her. Kimberly straightened her clothes while glaring at everyone before approaching Cody.

"First off, my name's Kim. Only my dad calls me Kimberly. Second, I didn't steal your gun. I was just borrowing it. I was going to give it back to you when I was done with it," Kim explained firmly.

Cody glanced at Loona and Slade. They returned his look.

"What would a girl like you want a blessing-tipped gun for?" Slade questioned.

"That's none of your business," Kim replied.

"You made it our business when you stole my son's gun," Loona growled.

"Yeah! Now answer the fucking question!" Blitzo yelled.

Cody held his arm out to hold them back.

"There was a lot of money on that pot, and you didn't so much as take one money roll or even a jewel – just this gun. That's it . . . and the way you dodged my friends and blocked their attacks, it's obvious that you're trained. You're no amateur. So, it's safe to assume that you're an experienced killer despite you're my age. So, killing someone is not hard for you, even though you could have killed one of my friends, but you didn't. You went through the trouble of getting this. Why? Why do you need this?" Cody explained.

"Planning on using it to kill demon royalty?" Kyo questioned.

"No, not royalty. An Overlord," Kim answered and then turned to Cody, "Look, I know who you are, Sir Cody. I'm not trying to pick a fight with you or the Free Demon Union. I just need to kill an Overlord, so I was just going to borrow your gun. That's it."

"What Overlord?" Kely asked.

Kim glanced around at everyone before answering, "He calls himself Blight. I know where he is, and if you just let me borrow your gun and use one or two bullets, he's dead, and I'll give it back."

"Why do you want to kill this Overlord so badly? There are dozens of them all over Hell. Why's this one so important?" Kyo asked.

Kim scoffed while rolling her eyes.

"He killed someone you care about," Cody stated. Kim's eyes widened as she turned to him, "You're not doing a job. You want revenge."

Kim gave a surprised expression, "How'd you know that?"

"I didn't. I guessed, and now I know I'm right."

"He found you out, kid. Now spill it," Molly ordered with one pair of hands on her hips and the other pair crossed.

Kim sighed, and there was a long moment of silence before she answered, "Yeah, he killed someone . . . my mom and my dad . . . when I was seven. Then, I got adopted, and he taught me how to fight. He's a ninja Hellhound . . . and he's actually a really good guy."

"You guys don't actually believe this sob story, do you?" Summer asked.

"Yeah, this is a classic poor little girl lost story," Día added.

Kim growled and shot a glare.

"She's telling the truth," Octavia stated.

"How do you know?" Bloody Mary asked.

"I can tell when people are lying. Something my mother did a lot of while I was growing up," Octavia answered.

Cody used his infinite cube to bring out a silencer and began attaching it to his 1911.

"Cody, what are you doing?" Loona asked.

"Blight is sure to have bodyguards and rent-a-thugs. We'll help you with that and leave Blight to you. He's your kill," Cody said, handing her the gun.

Kim glanced back and forth between him and the gun before taking it.

"Why are you helping me?" Kim asked.

There was a long silence before Cody answered, "I know what it's like to be an orphan and to want answers about why they died. I had the luxury of thinking they died in an accident, but then I avenged my parents on the same day I found out they were murdered."

Kim studied Cody's face before replying, "I guess you do," Then she turned to Loona and the others, "You guys are I.M.P., right?"

"That's right," Moxxie answered.

"Are you still hiring?" Kim asked.

"Maybe. Why?" Loona questioned.

Kim turned her gaze to Cody with a slight smile.

"He's . . . way more interesting in person . . . and I'd like to get to know him better, personally," Kim answered while playfully using her tail to tickle his nose.

"Let's kill this Overlord of yours and then talk employment," Blitzo answered.

Kim shrugged, "Fair enough. Let's go skinny butt. Follow me."

"Is she talking to me?" Cody asked.

"She sure as hell ain't talking to Fatty over here," Loona replied, pointing to Moxxie.

"Oh, for the love of Satan. I am not fat!" Moxxie shouted.

As they were getting in the cars while Kim got in her motorcycle, Kyo asked his girlfriend Octavia, "Does she like Cody? Because I'm getting a real powerful 'I'm into you' vibe from her."

"Oh yeah, she's into him. Why else would she want to know him better?" Via replied.

"Seriously?! Are you two that dense?" Molly questioned; they both turned to her, "The way that girl was looking at Cody, she might as well say that she wants to wear his heart like a Ring Pop."
