"What did you get for the base concentration?" the student sitting next to Sibby in the women's student lounge asked.
"Here, you can look at my notes," Sibby replied, handing over her notebook.
"Oh, thank you!" she exclaimed. "This is harder than I expected. I heard chemistry would be just like cooking, but, well, my mom does all the cooking at home."
"I see," Sibby said, wanting to avoid the topic.
The girl scribbled notes.
"I'd have asked Joe Baker to help, but I think he likes you."
"Joe Baker?" Sibby laughed. Normally she hated getting off track like this.
