Kyoto report # 1: Introduction
Much of my life has been dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge.
Ever since I became an adult I have been spending my days investigating the ancient ruins that dot our homeland.
These towers were created long ago by our supposed creators. But they have all shut down and fallen into disrepair since.
Why did our creators vanish? The elders do not care. They see death as the natural conclusion of life.
If anything it is considered taboo to violate such tenets.
That has always been our way.
Kyoto report # 2: Discovery
I can't believe this!
I have finally managed to activate a tower database!
But what I learned is beyond horrifying.
Our creators didn't disappear! They were butchered! By ancient evil from beyond the stars!
This ancient evil left behind its own disciples. Strange fairies that are capable of magic.
These fairies tempt children into becoming their servants with the promise of miracles.
Only for the children to be turned into monsters!
Was that what happened to my precious daughter? Was she taken by those monsters?
If that is so it cannot stand! I will free our people!
I will not let Tsuyuko become another victim!
The year is 2021. Ten years have passed since Madoka Kaname became the law of cycles. But due to either naivete or badly misplaced goodwill. She allowed one girl to remember the old world. Which was enough for the incubators to usurp her and create an era of darkness for the universe. Now a rebellion is forming in the distant corners of the universe. Composed of the Anim federation a series of 100 worlds dominated by sapient humanoid animals. The Reibai empire which is only composed of three worlds but is home to a race of technologically advanced warriors famed for successfully overthrowing the incubators and eliminating the witch system. The Medical mechanica movement that seeks equal rights for robotic lifeforms. The human kingdom of Atlanta where the descendants of ancient astronauts from Atlantis call home. And the Zoah a race of sentient crystals that were a powerful warrior race until they disappeared.
Three years have passed since then and at the dawn of the year 2024. The war to exterminate the incubators the Magical girl war has begun and Earth has been invaded.
Chapter 31: The Golden age: Part 2
February 13 2024, Operation Unmasked world
In the skies above the city of Mikitahara, Homura Akemi is rushing to the roof of the highest building of Mikitihara where Kagemusha is smugly standing. Waiting for his foe to face him. With a smug smile and intimidating chuckle he looks at the fallen magical girl who merely roars in rage and rockets to punch him repeatedly in the face and body to no avail. The assault continues for a good five minutes as the sky and earth splits and erupts from the sheer force of the blows. And the masked warrior simply takes it all in stride like something out of Senator Armstrong's playbook.
After finally tiring out Homura collapses into the ground and asks. "How did you get so strong?" The devil screams in frustration. Completely unaware that she is literally facing herself in the masked man.
"NANOMACHINES, BITCH!" Replies Kagemusha as he grabs Homura's head with one hand. Crushing her while tossing her across the roof of the building. Homura counters by firing every gun and rocket she can muster only for her opponent to slowly walk thru the onslaught unfazed. "You can't hurt me Sassy girl." Kagemusha then stomps Homura's hand crushing it and her gun to pieces before yelling. "I'M BUILT DIFFERENT!" Before going on to stomp Homura's head. And further beat her up in various way in a no holds barred beat down.
"Unlike you I have a dream! That one day every person will control their own destiny! A land of the TRULY free, dammit! A land of actions not words! Where the law changes to suit the individual, not the other way around. Where power and justice are back where they belong: Not in corrupt ancient conspiracies, not with furry satanic aliens, not with soulless mega corporations, But in the hands of the people! Where everyone is free to think and act for themselves! Fuck all these limp dick fairies! And chicken shit mysterious protectors! Fuck all these trend chasing spew of stagnating pain and suffering bullshit! Fuck Japanese pride! Fuck strengthen the country! Enrich the military! Fuck the media! Fuck all of it! Humanity is diseased. Rotten to the core. There's no saving it. We need to pull it out by the roots. Wipe the slate clean. BURN IT DOWN! And from the ashes a new Earth will be born. A new better world. Where the unworthy will be purged, And the strongest will thrive. Free to live as they see fit, they'll make magical girls great again!"
After being done with trashing Homura. The confused and battered girl struggled to get up complaining. "Making magical girls again? What kind of nonsense is that? As long as Madoka is happy... NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!" Homura fires a powerful blast of energy that Kagemusha merely flash steps. Appearing behind the devil much to her shock and horror.''
"Like I said Sassy girl... IM BUILT DIFFERENT!" Kagemusha then proceeds to plunge his fist down Homura's exposed back causing her to scream out in pain. After a few moments of searching her insides Kagemusha pulls out what can be best described as a piece of her inner essence and places it inside a container which he places inside his armor causing the brunette to collapse in exhaustion. "You should be thankful Homura. After all this is the closest you'll ever get to having Madoka Kaname inside of you."
Homura too exhausted to reply or even notice is unceremoniously kicked off the building like an old rag where she plummets to the ground floor amidst the panicking crowd where she loses consciousness and transforms back into her human form.
A panicked Kuro finds her mistress and picks her up. "Oh dear, oh dear... We need to leave this planet... Good thing that the defense screens have been activated already. We can leave the incubators as bait while the two of us escape." Kuro looks at Homura's unconscious body and begins to check her out. "Oh Akemi-san, what did those monsters do to you?" Kuro then retreats while coping a feel of her mistress breasts, all the while blushing and drooling. "Don't worry Akemi-san I will protect you from all impurities!"
Meanwhile all hell is breaking down inside the incubators hidden radio tower base. Kuro rushes towards the nearest escape craft as everyone else panics around them while the Reibai waltzers rocket inside the base and shoot up the entire facility with their beam weaponry. With Saitou in particular taking his time to play with his food. Essentially shooting his fleeing victims one at a time while his radio plays "Stand up to the Victory." Which is the Victory Gundam opening song. Even as a group of Incubators try to take down his Waltzer with a missile launcher platform.
"Fucking infidels! Kill them all!" The leader of the fire team screamed at the top of his lungs as his two subordinates prepared to launch the rockets at Saitou's mecha.
"Really infidels?" One of the subordinates remarks only to have his head blown off by his commander with some sort of pistol device killing him on the spot.
"Do as I say you little pricks!" The commander screams as the remaining subordinate freaks outs and begins to activate the device. Only to for the group to be blown up by Kagami who chides her junior about being careless.
While in the planets orbit which is pulsing and shaking apart due to the magical instability. The planet is being blockaded by a fleet of ships manned by the IAA with star fighters and Waltzers shooting down any escaping incubator craft all the while Barragan Nacht watched from the bridge of his ship.
"Commander Cody." The cyborg zombie remarked to one of his troopers. "Prepare the landing parties." The Zero commander Cody, one of the members of the later trooper batches nodded in acknowledgment and went on on its way. "Yes captain." And as he gives the order the fleet descends not only in Japan but in every major city on Earth where the troops quickly secure the planet. Sometimes welcomed with open arms by the leadership and sometimes after forcefully subjugating the area. As several rogue states had the misfortune of finding out as the alien armies swiftly and efficiently hunted down all targets. Killing everyone violently and without remorse as a form of intimidation.
Operation unmasked world was a complete success and once it was confirmed that Homura, Kyubey, and Kuro all fled Earth. The captured planets were secured as the rest of the fleet began combing the galaxy for where they could have fled. As for the remnants they were forced to Matsumiya city where the Tokime clan alongside the Puella care faction took command and began fortifying the city expecting a siege.
February 28 2024, The annihilation of Tokime
Outside the cities outskirts where the IAA has barricaded the perimeter of the city. With drones shooting down anyone who would try to escape and a platoon of Riot control Waltzers alongside tanks and artillery from both NATO and the IAA aiding in the siege. A trio of girls are discussing amongst themselves the situation. This trio are the founding sisters of Promised blood. A faction of magical girls who willingly threw their lot in with the IAA and have agreed to being restored to humanity. Yuna Kureha, Ao Kasane, and Juri Oba. Who are questioning what is going on. Especially Juri who is furious why they aren't getting the order to attack. Ao who is the tactician of the girls basically remarks.
"Apparently they are planning to make an example of the city." "An example?" Juri asks to which Ao remarks. "From what I heard he is coming." Yuna and Juri utterly freak out with Yuna saying. "You mean Lord Kagemusha?! The magical girl killer?! The one who leads the elite burial fleet and personally oversees the pacification of Asia?! The guy who nuked North Korea clean off the map?! That he?!" Juri adds. "I heard that was literal. That because the leadership didn't play ball the entire north was annihilated and that the south is considering renaming themselves just plain Korea because everyone is dead. Shouldn't we leave?! I heard he eats babies you know!" Ao corrects Juri by stating that Kagemusha doesn't eat babies but he does kill them in cold blood to which Juri retorts in terror. "That. Doesn't. Help."
That's when everyone is alerted that Kagemusha has touched down as everyone prepares for the slaughter. With the three girls deciding to see if Kagemusha really is as scary as the rumors state. After sneaking in thru the front lines they find a mysterious masked man in black armor being berated by the town's mayor. And then just keeling over as he seemingly chokes to death and Kagemusha walks towards the center of the town. And is immediately attacked by an army of soldiers, magical girls, and local militiamen who use all kinds of weapons on him. Only for Kagemusha to just shrug it off to the shock of the Promised blood trio. Then Kagemusha draws her sword and begins destroying all resistance. Men, women and children all fall to her savage rage and might. Even when a group of suicide bombers try to explode on her, Kagemusha dismantles them and uses the last bomber as a projectile. Using telepathy to break her neck toss her into a series of building which then explode causing the people to flee only for Kagemusha to blow them all up with fireballs.
In desperation they release a giant witch that goes on a murderous rampage across the city only for Kagemusha to kill it in one stroke. Cutting it in half as the witch corpse crashes into the surrounding area. In a final act of panic the Tokime clan ready a stolen tactical nuke in the hopes of threatening the IAA. Only for Kagemusha to somehow age it into dust and then doing the same for everyone there as they slowly and painfully die while their opponent enters the large manor serving as the Tokime clan's headquarters. As the trio look on in horror as other troops then begin to secure the area Yuna more or less states. "Glad he's on our side." As explosions rock the manor and Kagemusha marches inside.
As Kagemusha walked into the Japanese manor she was consistently ganged up by numerous enemies. Between being shot by marksmen, blasted by magic, or bum rushed by blade users. The masked man tore thru all comers with ease until breaking into the command center where the leadership of the Tokime clan was hiding. Where she meets Chiharu Hiroe and shoots dead a corrupt diet member who attempts to use the girl as a meat shield in a sudden act of desperation to save himself. Blowing up his head like a watermelon. As the elders cower in fear Chiharu asks Kagemusha. "Who are you? What do you want?!" Which causes the avenger to stop and explain her reasons.
"Revenge. Plain and simple. I was one of your sacrifices who was killed by the Incubator scum. But now I have returned from the depths of hell itself. Empowered by the hate, regret, jealousy, and suffering of the entire universe. I am the avenger! I am the slayer! I am the messiah! I am Kagemusha! And now it is my era! I shall become the strongest! Stronger than anyone! Stronger than God herself! Then no one will hurt me again!" A furious Chiharu draws her sword and attempts to lunge at Kagemusha only to be stopped in time. The Tokime clan heir spits at the masked man screaming. "Revenge?! Power?! You destroyed Japan, society, humanity, the very future of the universe for that?! How can humanity continue to exist without the benevolence of Kyube-sama?!" Kagemusha used her powers to shatter Chiharu's jaw and crush her tounge causing her to scream in horrendous pain as she is lifted up and has her arms torn off as fountains of blood pour from the stomps. Followed by her legs which causes her to become catatonic as she soils herself. After that her body and soul gem erupt in a pillar of black fire that then lunges its flames towards the remaining elders burning them alive as they scream in pain as all attempts to put out the blaze simply makes it worse and causes the inferno to spread across the manor and then the entire town as Kagemusha walks away without looking back. Leaving the manor as it bursts into flames before stopping to look at the Promised blood trio who merely stare back in quiet trepidation before flying off into the distance.
After the event the trio just stands there pissing themselves as Matsumiya is torn to the ground by fire/looting/giant robot feet stomping/etc. Leading Juri to scream. "We're all gonna die!" To which her companions simply stated. "Yup..." In utter resignation to their inevitable demise.
In the skies above Kagemusha was flying towards the next appointed target. According to Kagami there are terrorists that need to be dealt with in the Southern United States. And she had already wiped out all of the Asian resistance during the past few weeks. Reminiscing on how he was sent to capture the other members of the Puella magi quintet. She remembers how she killed the Kaname family while capturing Madoka. How she blew up the Sakurai church and had Kyoko doxxed which led to a lynch mob ganging up on her and Sayaka. And how she got revenge on Mami and Nagisa beating them both into comas. Kagemusha particularly enjoyed that fight even when Touka reprimanded her for being too violent. Of course she didn't care. Diplomacy was Touka's job while Kagemusha is meant to be a symbol of power and fear. Even now there are news reports talking about the destruction Kagemusha caused and how she was hated by humanity for her actions. Not like it matters since no human could ever hope to touch her. Indeed she was enjoying being feared. She would never be loved so she might as well be feared.
Meanwhile in Melenge prison
In one of the many high security wings of the prison. Sayaka Miki, Kyoko Sakura, Mami Tomoe, and Nagisa Momoe are stuck inside their respective jail cells. With Kyoko and Sayaka fuming. Nagisa is constantly demanding cheese. And Mami ton between her need to look after her juniors and her feelings of failure. That if she never took apprentices or better yet if she had simply just died with her parents. None of this would have happened. Then things get worse as Ashtamangala accompanied by Barragan enters their block and faces the group. With Ash swiftly pressing a button that places a reinforced metal plate on Nagisa's cell in order to mute her. A move that leads Mami to threaten them both. Much to both aliens amusement with Ash simply stating. "You're joking, right?" Mami retorts with. "One day I WILL kill all of you and Akemi-san!" A statement that leads Sayaka and Kyoko floored.
Barragan then chuckles wickedly. "Oh, really? What if I were to tell you that we are here to offer you a chance for revenge?" That statement took the magical girl trio by surprise with Kyoko stating. "You're kidding right?! You want us to turn against Madoka and Homura! There's no way we would help you!" Sayaka then walked forward and said. "I will. If it means revenge on the transfer student. Them i'm in." Barragan chuckles once more and states. "Excellent! And what about you Miss Tomoe." Mami pauses for a second and then. "On one condition." "Speak." "I want you to release Nagisa. I want her to live a normal life." Barragan gleefully accepts the terms and orders the release of the cells. To which Ash complies and also orders that cheese be sent to the prison block. Which quickly buys Nagisa's loyalty as the three girls leave with the aliens. Leaving Kyoko to rot in her cell. All alone Kyoko screams. "You sold us out for cheese?! At least share some with me!"
June 20 2031, Battle of Animus Gorge
Animus Gorge is a strange place. An ancient ruin in the outskirts of Anim federation territory. It is a landmass floating in the middle of space. Composed of the pieces of several destroyed worlds and kept tethered both as a landmass and in a stable orbit by an eternal engine. A machine created by the precursors to power and maintain their cities in perpetuity. Even managing an artificial day/night cycle and gravitational pull of sorts by rotating the landmass in a 12 hour cycle. Now this place is the backdrop to a major battle as ships from both sides waged war against each other in the skies with the barrel class ships from the incubator side. A long line of containers connected by a series of bridges whose barrels can be connected in between the bridge unit at the front and the engine unit in the back. With these barrel ships being composed of up to hundreds of containers that house troops, cargo, and swarms upon swarms of Hunter class drones.
Planet (?) side, Kagami Ichijin and Kagemusha were leading the charge against the incubators. Both having become war heroes at this point. With Kagami's military victories and Kagemusha's repeated crushings of the enemy top brass. Having become the stuff of propaganda and legend. With the duo being compared to Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker respectively. The latter leading a charge of several armed columns on foot. Deflecting every blaster bolt sent at her and her forces. From small arms fire to entire artillery barrages which are blown to pieces by the shockwaves of her sword swings before going to town on the enemy forces.
Kuro a magical girl in a black hood with a deranged obsession with her mistress. Fires all of the missiles she has in her Gaius mobile command carrier in a panic while punching the land ship into full retreat. Only for Kagemusha to form a barrier that blocked most of the explosions while other troopers shot down what was left. Her soldiers enraged at the fact that their leader sold them out end up surrendering while Kuro abandons the carrier and disappears into the caverns that connect the entire area.
Commander Cody is aiding Kagami with the search all the while Sayaka and Mami who have been sent into kitchen duty watch on in jealousy. "I thought we were gonna see action!" Sayaka fumed to Mami who at this point is just done with her junior's years of whining. "We're allies of justice! Not Burger fool staff!" Mami simply replies. "I happen to enjoy cooking you know. They actually complimented my Pineapple cake last month. Also you're getting better at this. At least your cooking is now edible compared to when you started." Sayaka did not take it well and pretty much tore Mami's head off with her reply. "I should be with Kyouske now! Not in the middle of a war! I can already see Hitomi riding MY man bareback in a love hotel back on Earth!" Mami just stated calmly. "Miki-san did you even have any goals in life outside of porking Kyouske?" A question that actually forces Sayaka to pause and think for a minute. "Well... No... Not really... But aren't we girls? We should be falling in love and getting married not being forced to fight in space." Mami annoyed retorted. "That is incredibly offensive and i'm just glad Sakura-san isn't here to see you act like a brat." Before taking her leave. Sayaka still salty blames Homura for everything as she walks away in the opposite direction. And another cook who saw the whole affair muttered to herself. "Well, there goes the Bedchel test."
Meanwhile in the depths of the Eternal engine. Kuro is groveling an apology from a seriously pissed off Devil Homura with Kyubey who is tied up shibari style in midair with a gag ball shoved down it's mouth. After getting tired of her minion's groveling. Homura shuts her up by exploding Kyubey with such force that Kuro is bathed in its blood. Then stating. "It doesn't matter. After all I have found a way to deal with our loyalty problems." Kuro confused asks how. To which a strange cackling laugh answers her question as a crew of Skullraisers. This ones being the calamity type variants. A group that lacked military training and gear. Instead being naked crimson boned skeletal monsters with their faces covered by a purple veil with their insignia and glowing yellow eyes. As a girl in a black cloak teleported in front of the monsters which all kneeled to her as she introduced herself.
Theme of Hime
Ost: Blumenkranz: Kill la Kill
Wehihihihi! I am Hime Kurokami Prophet of the calamity! And these are my mind slaves! The Skullraisers!" Homura then explained. "This familiar I created can turn others into pseudo-witches not unlike Hijiri Kanna's evil nuts. She will serve to fill out or ranks now that Kanna and Kagari Hinata are dead." With Hime taking down her hood and showing Hijiri's face. That of a young blonde with low hanging twin tails which causes Kyubey who had just regenerated. And is still tied up just like before somehow realize. "That girl, she was created from Hijiri's corpse wasn't she?" Only to get blown up by Homura again and coating Kuro in a new shower of blood as a result. With Homura boasting. "Yes! Hime is a composite formed by using the corpses of Hijiri Kanna and Kagari Hinata. Combining their powers to create a familiar that can brainwash people into my service!" Kuro asks. "Even driver users?" To which Homura quietly murmurs. "Well, most people at least... Besides corpses can't resist brainwashing. Because they are dead. Because I've killed them." While the devil shyly twiddled her thumbs and drooped her wings.
Back at the surface Kagami Ichijin was readying her team to enter the tunnels that led to Animus Gorge interior as she explained both the plan which is to locate the core of the eternal engine which is where Homura is likely hidden. And how to get there. Which is a treacherous trap laden and lengthy passageway not unlike a dungeon from an RPG game. When the meeting is interrupted when Mami and Sayaka burst in while being chased by Nagisa Momoe who had unlike the other Puella Magi followed orders and was at this point Mami and Sayaka's superior officer and boss as the head chef of the division. Who is now wearing a proper chef uniform unlike her compatriots who are wearing casual clothes alongside a cheap apron, rubber gloves, and a cloth in their heads.
"What is going on?!" Kagami complained as the soldiers all saw the scene that was happening. Where Sayaka screams. "We want to be part of the mission!" Kagemusha simply joked. "So Sakana-chan is throwing a tantrum again? Do you need to suck off a candy or something in order to go away?" "Screw you!" Sayaka screamed at Kagemusha as the soldiers around them all chuckled. While Nagisa wants the girls to go back which Sayaka refuses to do. "No! And why shouldn't we be involved? I mean don't you want revenge against the transfer student Nagisa?!" Nagisa simply says. "No." To the shock of Sayaka and Mami both with the former asking. "Why? Why wouldn't you want to get even?" Nagisa calmly explains. "Because I like my current job. I'm even getting an education so I can go to culinary school after this is over." Sayaka facepalms at hearing the explanation while Mami tears up in pride. With Kagami breaking up the whole thing until another soldier enters the tent in a panic. "Ugh, now what?" Nagisa groans while the soldier states. "We're under attack!" As an explosion rocks the entire area. And as bullets rip thru the tent killing soldiers en masse and ripping the tent apart as more explosions resound around them.
Kagami, Kagemusha, Mami, Nagisa, and the soldier get out. With a bloodied up Sayaka missing an arm and a leg getting dragged out by Mami. As they witnesses an army of giant robots rampage across the temporary base. These mecha being bulky misshapen fifteen meter tall robots with a massive portending head with twin repeating blasters on the sides and a heavy mass cannon on the chin. Short bipedal legs with large feet and armed with missile launchers, And large railguns for arms. With one of them firing said railguns at the sky with bellows of steam pouring from its many vents. As a nuclear explosion erupts in the distance. "Is that a nuke?!" Kagemusha screams while everyone is horrified as more nuclear warheads are launched by the mecha.
Homura and company are watching the devastation all the while the devil enjoys herself with Kuro and Hime cackling and Kyubey genuinely horrified at the escalation. "You're mad Homura Akemi?! Do you have any idea how the rebels will react to this?! Using nuclear weapons in space is a violation of the Star Ocean treaty! Not even the Precursors would dare to use them!"Kyubey once more gets blown up by Homura. Who complains. "You talk too much. Besides the Circe will make sure that no one knows that we used nukes. Kuro! Hime! Kill all witnesses! Our new weapons will spread like a plague and crush the Federation!
Back at the battlefield the group rushed into the caves for protection as the Circe continued their rampage. "That woman is insane!" The soldier replied. "To think that she would be stupid enough to violate the Star Ocean treaty!" The Puella Magi look confused as Kagami explains. "The Star Ocean treaty was made by the Precursors a long time ago. Back when space travel began and before warp drives became common. Warfare was conducted via slipstream nukes. Rockets launched en masse using computers to calculate their trajectories which exploded when they hit another world. These missiles were very destructive and many worlds were annihilated this way. So the treaty was made to prevent mutually assured destruction between civilizations. And the possibility of accidentally destroying allies or innocents caught up in the conflict. It's because of that treaty that starship combat became a thing. With a complete ban on nuclear weaponry or any other similar planet busting weaponry. It is considered an intergalactic war crime to use planet busters in times of war. And there is severe punishment for those who do so." The explanation is undercut by another series of explosions with Mami of all people stating. "Less talking. More let's get the fuck away from the army of giant killbots, NOW!" As the group continued going underground.
As the group continued its journey to the eternal engine. The soldier continues to try and fail to contact their allies. And Sayaka has more or less regenerated from being mauled by military grade weaponry. "Ugh, what's the number of the bitch that just hit me?" Kagemusha responds with. "666!" To which Sayaka responds with a bitter thank you. The soldier puts down his transmitter and asks what to do next. To which Kagami simply explains. "We do our job. We go to the core. Kill the devil. And then find and use the escape craft." Sayaka still doubtful remarks. "Is it really that simple?" With Kagemusha remarking. "Diabolical masterminds always hide an escape method somewhere." Sayaka is now freaking out even worse. "But this is the transfer student we're talking about. Aren't we just plain screwed?!" An atmosphere of dread and silence fell upon the group until Kagemusha said. "Yup."
As the group finally entered the Eternal engine. Which is a group of four very, very, large engine block connected in a clockwise manner to a large spherical reactor that holds an artificial star with bridges connecting the entire area. As the group wanders around the area with the Puella Magi being amazed that such a thing even exists. Looking at the green energy that pulses thru the pipelines of the engines that power the machinery that keep the facility intact and functional. Something that Mami points out. "That green energy, it's energized mana right?" Kagami confirms it and adds. "Apparently the usage of mana as a power source comes from way back. When the Emperor began the great liberation he discovered the current method in a series of ancient ruins." A surprised Mami asks. "So this whole magical energy revolution wasn't pioneered by the Reibai?" Kagami comments. "No, according to rumors the methods and technology were stolen by the Emperor. It's even rumored that there is a dark matter even more plentiful and powerful than mana out there. Apparently its called Chaos energy and its something that can completely bypassed all conventional physics. Some people say that it is divine ki itself." "I thought you aliens were agnostic." Mami states to which Kagemusha corrects with. "No, we acknowledge the supernatural. But we simply consider the gods evil. As our enemy is the vanguard of said gods. That is why we fight. To ensure peace and safety for all mortals."
As the group goes up a massive lift that leads to a large empty room. They are met by Hime and her minions the Skullraisers. Who then attack the group with large sickles and martial arts as a brawl breaks out in the room. As the Raisers swarmed the heroes. They quickly overwhelm the random soldier who gets struck in the spine by two Raisers and then chuck him off the floor and into the dark depths before high fiving each other. While Sayaka is cut to pieces due to her lack of fighting skills. The remaining four do manage to fight off the goons with Mami using a barrage of muskets to blast the Raisers to their death revealing that they are IAA soldiers whose bodies were never recovered after battle. All the while Hime fled in the confusion.
While everyone stopped for a brief moment to catch their breath and pick up Sayaka's pieces as she is still alive and conscious even after being filleted by a horde of thugs. And after confirming that the random soldiers died in the fall. Landing skull first onto a reinforced metal floor and getting a compound skull and neck fracture that killed him on the spot. As the group prepared to continue. Hime who at this point was hiding in a scaffold with a high power and very large sniper cannon. Less something that you could hold with both hands and more something you had to carry around like a minigun. And fired it at Kagami. Blowing her up and causing her to fly off and land some distance away much to the shock of everyone. As Hime prepared to fire again aiming at Kagemusha. The latter had a sort of Newtype flash which allowed her to leap away from the bullet while charging her blaster. Firing a blast that lands inside the gunbarrel causing the unit to violently explode causing a flaming Hime to fall down the scaffold and into the depths below. Breaking her skull and neck in the fall and then heading to the others who are also freaking out as Nagisa was trying to keep Kagami alive with her healing. All while complaining to a recently restored Sayaka who merely ignores her. Leading to a furious Kagemusha to shoot Sayaka between the eyes. "Oh God! Why is it always me!" "Shut up Sakana!" Kagemusha screams as he heads forward to the core with Mami asking what is she doing. To which Kagemusha merely states. "Finishing the fight."
On their own the magical girls, mainly Sayaka who is regrowing a three inch hole in her head. Wonder about what to do. "Seriously what's that guy's problem? What has Sayaka-chan ever done to him?" Mami merely believes that the aliens are simply racist. Sayaka counters with the point. That most of the IAA at least acts, or tries to act with cordiality. Even if they all hate magical girls. Especially us three since they blame us for not killing the transfer student before shit hit the fan." Mami chimes in that Earth is the same and that she had essentially been disinherited by her relatives in the aftermath. With all of the money being sent to families of the people who were eaten by witches in a settlement. Sayaka questions the legality of it only for Mami to state that the famous lawyer Godot was taking the case.
"That coffee obsessed weirdo? Also wasn't he in prison." Nagisa pointed out to which Mami stated. "The same. He got out claiming that a witch was responsible for the murder. And well..." Kagami meanwhile has finally woken up much to the surprise of the girls with Sayaka making another snippy comment. "Ugh, really couldn't you stay dead? With you and Kagemusha gone the three of us could go after Homura ourselves." Nagisa finally done with Sayaka's crap vomits out her Charlotte form. A giant polka dotted clown worm to bite Sayaka's head off. To the shock of Kagami and Mami. To which Nagisa responds. "Don't worry, she'll live." As gushes of blood squirt from the severed stump that was once Sayaka's neck.
As Kagemusha reached the gate to the core. A massive reinforced metal door composed of Precursor metal. An ancient composite material that inspired the creation of Artorium. Of course Precursor metal of P-metal as it referred to is vastly superior to any natural metal in the universe. Capable of withstanding over 10,000 years of temporal decay with ridiculous ease. And much like Artorium can withstand extreme temperatures of both the hot and cold persuasion. To the point that all ships use it on their hull. Not just for its durability but because it can withstand planetary re-entry with no need for special systems. A spaceship with such a hull can dive nose first into the atmosphere and come out unscathed. The problem is that P-metal is very dense and heavy. Being pound for pound five times heavier than titanium. With Artorium being three times as heavy.
Kuro was hiding in a barricade behind said door. Gleefully waiting for her chance to strike with a jury rigged flak cannon based of a Circe's chin mounted cannon, multiple hover cargo lifts. And whatever random junk the hooded magical girl could get her hands on. "Okay, rebels. Once you show your faces I will end you! And maybe then Akemi-san will finally recognize me! And we will rule this galaxy together as husband and wife!"
But before Kuro could finish her boast. A massive energy wave tore thru the gate and vaporized the flak cannon. Crushing Kuro and leaving her trapped underneath sixty tons of metal as Kagemusha rocketed past like a flaming comet without noticing with glowing red eyes and screaming. "GAAAWWWBLINSSSS!"
And then crashes onto Homura's lair much to the devil and incubator's screaming. To which Kagemusha stops by destroying Kyubey with an explosion as well and screams. "I'm Magical girl slayer! And I slay Magical girls!" Before shooting Homura who blocks the attacks by shoving the bodies of her minions into their path as she runs away to save herself. By fleeing to the newest escape pod. While Kagemusha powers thru a horde of Skullraisers throwing themselves into her. Before tearing one of the mooks in half with her bare hands as blood erupted from the body before exploding while screaming. "GAAAAWWWBLINSSSS!"
As Devil Homura gets into her escape craft and prepares to take off. She finally relaxes as she believes that she is finally free of her enemies and begins to drink from a flask full of lemonade while thinking of Madoka. The craft which was a common and cheap private freighter known as a SA-3800. Which was a literal flying brick with large cargo space and thick armor designed for form not function. Heavily modified with powerful engines, illegal stealth systems, and a 0.5 warp system. A warp drive so fast that it would take a hundred years for it to become standard fare. As the ship finally launched Homura smirked to herself. She thought to herself that with her new army she will finally destroy the rebels. And began pondering on how she will destroy the multiverse and create a new world in its place only for herself and Madoka. Smiling as she flew off attempting to sneak away from the battlefield. Only for a massive explosion to erupt behind her. "What the shit is going on?!" Homura questioned as she used her scanners to sense what is happening. Which showed that Kagemusha was in hot pursuit blasting thru hordes of Skullraisers, and millions of tons of rock, metal, and more and plowing thru Homura's ship obliterating it in a colossal explosion. With Homura forced to flee under her own power as she ordered her forces to rescue her and stop her pursuer. With a fleet of four Barrel class ships coming for her alongside their escorts.
Ost: The Doomsday Zone, Sonic 3 and Knuckles ost
The four Barrel class combined compliment. All 400 Hunter class drones rocketed to intercept. Firing off waves of particle cannon fire all around. To the point where it seemed like a bullet hell straight out of Tohou. Which Kagemusha dodged and weaved over before either shooting down or cutting down the pyramid shaped drones one by one while keeping up hot pursuit with Homura at borderline light speed. To the point the other players could not keep up and in desperation ordered the remaining 200 drones to go into phalanx formation. Where they form into a large column deactivate their safeties and fire their particle cannons at full power which have enough range and power to crack a planet's crust. And now 200 of those beams were being fired. Causing chaos on then battlefield. Taking out allies and enemies. And causing a series of explosions that caused Animus Gorge. An asteroid base the size of Australia to begin breaking apart at the seams. With both Homura and Kagemusha dodging everything until the drones either ran out of power and died or overloaded causing them to catch on fire or explode.
"Who does that brat think he is? Char Aznable?" Homura fumed as she reached one of the Barrel class and entered it and ordered the other three to stop Kagemusha at any cost. While the remaining cycles cult fleet gathered and prepared to retreat. Being forced to leave both the Skullraisers gathered and The Circe alongside their compliment of thermonuclear warheads that Homura hoped to threaten the universe with. Of course as Homura walked into the Barrel's bridge the Barrel trio was destroyed by Kagemusha by destroying their cockpits in 30 seconds before vanishing. And when Homura was reaching the main deck passageway she was intercepted by Kagemusha who had killed the entire crew while Homura was getting there. As she was welcomed to the sight of bodies impaled by swords, spears, and axes. "How?!" Homura steps backs as Kagemusha calmly sips a cappuccino that was taken from his dead enemies. Before Homura pulls out a submachine gun and unloads its at the masked man. Only for the bullets to dissolve into dust and then the gun rusts away and dissolves as well. "HOW?!" As she realizes that the entire ship is also disintegrating into the abyss as Kagemusha explains. "If ZA WARUDO is in your hands. Then I possess everything beyond ZA WARUDO." Homura is simply confused at her opponents explanation. From her perspective this was an alien butchering proper Japanese for some reason. Before blitzing her and punching her in the face repeatedly as the beat down continued for an hour. With Kagemusha alternating between wrecking the enemy fleet and continuing her curbstomp of Homura. As she used the devil as a human shield, a battering ram, and even an impromptu javelin before crashing back on the ruins of Animus Gorge bruised and broken. Too injured to act while Kagemusha slowly moved in the kill. Preparing to finish Homura off with the same gun she used to mercy kill Madoka so long ago. "Remember this? How you killed Madoka back then with this. Well, now its your turn." Defeated Homura just resigns herself to die. Before a Barrel class cockpit erupts from the ground launching flash bangs and sonic bombs which manage to stop Kagemusha long enough for the ship to escape with Homura.
Homura's rescuer Kuro places the former in a stasis pod all the while Homura is forced to admit defeat. The hooded magical girl furiously swears revenge as the ship escapes into the warp. Taking Kyubey and Hime as well with them. With that the battle was over and Kagemusha obtained a notification that the survivors are being rescued and that the enemy was being routed. Also that the IAA high council was informed of the usage of nuclear weapons and that they are demanding a meeting with her since Kagami is injured and won't be available.
The aftermath was swift. The usage of nuclear weapons only reinforced the narrative that the IAA are heroic liberators and a new wave of anti Puella Magi sentiment swept thru the ranks. Funding for the normalization of captured Puella Magi was increased and soon calls for an absolute ban on them were being heard. Due to their actions Kagami and Kagemusha were promoted with Kagami becoming the new supreme commander of the IAA and Kagemusha not only being given carte blanche to bring in the arch-traitor. Dead or alive. But was also promoted to Karo essentially becoming the second in command of the Ichijin clan and the highest ranking Zero trooper by far. Now having the ear of the high council and the Emperor.
As for the conflict it had also escalated greatly with planetary bombardment and lightspeed missile barrages being launched at soft targets on cultist territory. Obliterating sixty worlds in the process with several of them being used as test beds for the tower system. Both in the hopes of restoring the destroyed worlds in the future. And to experiment on large scale environmental control.
As for the Cycles cult. They flee back to the Incubator homeworld where Homura is locked up in her room refusing to leave her bed as Kuro fumes and swears bloody vengeance as she sends Hime to enslave more people for their army. With the Incubators outside Kyubey begin plotting ways to get revenge.
Melenge prison, three days later
For years now Kyoko Sakura was kept in the high security wing. Not breaking from years of torture and experimentation. Now she is being wheeled out Hannibal Lecter style into a device called the normalizer by the research team. A dynamo like device from where another magical girl was strapped in a nearby table with a large number of black cables strapped into her. With Ashtamangala leading the operation as Kyoko is forced to watch.
"Normalization procedure experiment. Sixth attempt. We are utilizing prisoner #7254921, Maria Corazon. A Puella Magi from the former nation of Uruguay that was captured in April 3 2024. And her wish was to be cured of an inoperable terminal brain cancer." The magical girl pleaded to no avail as the device was activated which caused a surge of energy to pass thru the girl. As her blood boiled inside of her. Her soul gem was dissolving back into her body in front of everyone's eyes. As Maria was restored or perhaps reverted to her human self. As the former magical girl weeped in horror she quickly began choking as the brain tumor returned and spread all through her body. In one minute Maria Corazon died of complications as the computer that showed her vital signs revealed that her entire body is now cancerous. Other robots took away the corpse and placed it in a body bag to be incinerated as technicians looked over the data and prepared for the next test subject. Kyoko herself as she tried to escape only for security agents to electrocute her with cattle prods until passing out.
Kyoko then wakes up in her cell with Barragan Natch and two armed guards at her bedside. "My apologies, but we cannot afford to take any chances." Barragan remarks about the guards before muttering internally. "After all I don't want your primitive germs all over my sexy bod..." Before imagining himself as an incredibly buff guy sprinting on the beach wearing a thong while elf girls check him out. Kyoko snaps him out by asking. "So what are you doing here?" Barragan smiles and explains. "What did you think of the normalizer. With it we will finally be able to end witches forever." "Was it necessary for that girl to die?" Kyoko bitterly responded. "Unfortunately it is a necessary side effect when restoring the prisoners. As the normalizer is designed to reverse the Incubator's contract. Of course by reversing a magical girl it reverses the miracle that was caused in exchange." "So what's this all about." Kyoko asked. "Your final warning. Homura used nukes and now the high council will clamp down on the remaining Puella Magi. If they do not submit to the IAA's supervision. They will be depowered regardless of the consequences." Kyoko clenches her fists and asks one thing. If depowering Sayaka could save her from death. Barragan remarks. "Yes, she would be revived. But in exchange Kyouske Kamijou would lose the use of his hands again." Kyoko stares at Barragan and says. "Fine, i'll help you. That way Sayaka can live." "How ruthless. You would ruin another persons life for that girl?" "It's what I should have done from the beginning." Barrangan cackles in amusement as he nods towards the guards to lower their weapons as the group takes their leave.
October 8 2031, Planet Reibai
Returning home for rest after the events of Animus gorge. Kagami Ichijin exits the local spaceport only to be tackled to the ground by a worried Tsuruya who begins crying on her wife's chest. Kagami overcome with emotion pats her in the head and simply says. "I'm home." The two get up and leave as another incubator tracks the girls while hiding in the shadows.
Back at the temple the two girls are eating dinner and talking about what has happened since Kagami left. Noting that Hatta is leaving for college on another planet, that Kagemusha went off to another planet. Which surprised Tsuruya as she legitimately though that their masked guest had no social life. Whenever they had time off back them Kagemusha would avoid going out and just slept or played videogames all day. Tsuruya also noted that Gaia, Ortega, and Mash were shot down recently in the Boros campaign. And Kagami then talked about the Waltzer mk. II which was going to become the new mainstay unit.
Then Tsuruya looked at Kagami's injury. While the stasis pod did heal her wounds it did leave a sizable scar on her forehead. And then she said it. "Kagami, please quit the army." Kagami looked stunned as Tsuruya poured her heart out. Being legitimately scared of what would happen. "You know, at first I didn't really care about the war. I still don't. I mean, this I whole mess was caused by humans. Why do we have to clean up their messes?" Kagami pointed back by saying. "To be better, that's why. Humans are evil savages more a virus than a civilization. That is why we as a cultured race. Must do this. Not just to ensure our peace and prosperity. But that of the universe. I believe the term is Noblesse Oblique or something." Tsuruya could barely hold back her annoyance as her wife continued. "Besides just look at Zero troopers! Living proof that even murder monkeys can do good when properly tamed. Once the incubator's have been exterminated we will be able to create the utopia the universe has yearned for since the dawn of time." Tsuruya bolts up and screams. "I WANT A DIVORCE!" Before storming off in frustration and leaving the tomboy confused at it all.
Alone at the edge of the forest. A forlorn Tsuruya looks up at the moons above with tears in her eyes. "Ugh, I don't get what's happening to me? Ever since the war I have been unable to properly express my feelings. Am I just feeling stressed out?" The miko complained to the air. When a corridor of darkness appeared before her and an incubator wearing an Organization XIII cloak appeared next to her. A terrified Tsuruya backed away in fear screaming. "Who are you?"

Entrusted with the most important farms of our people. Then that idiot younger brother of mine got greedy with a certain girl. And thanks to her our family has lost everything. But you, and the Darkness that stirs within you will be the key to our return to glory. And our revenge!" Hachibey then launches a surge of dark energy that overwhelms Tsuruya. Her screams of agony drowned out by the thunderstorm that began at that very moment. As clouds cover the previously clear night sky and rain pours onto the forest. "Yes! Hearts quivering with hatred. Hearts burning with rage. Hearts scarred by envy. That fool Kyubey said that the hearts true nature wasn't worth understanding, but he was wrong! Hearts are the source of all power!"
The corruption finished seething onto Tsuruya. With the miko gasping a small plea for help before passing out. Meanwhile Kagami remains at the temple. Completely unaware of what happened.
Meanwhile in Himmler prison, A Boa Qu starbase
A Boa Qu a massive starbase at the edge of the milky way. It is home to Himmler prison a top secret facility for very high profile political prisoners. A Boa Qu is actually the massive artificial ring that surrounds Himmler prison. A small planetoid whose entire mass is dedicated to either the prison of to the orbital elevators that connect and supply the military base above. Inside the depths of the prison there is a place called the vault. An even more secure area that is so restricted that usually the only ones allowed are drones that maintain the interior, keeps the prisoners alive, or dispose of the ones who die inside.
A gate opens showing one Madoka Kaname. Not only restrained with a black rod. But essentially crucified as nutrient feed is injected thru her veins and tubes ensure proper waste disposal. Apparently the reason things have gotten this bad is because of multiple escape and suicide attempts. And it's only her position as a high value prisoner that she hasn't either been dismembered, raped, or killed. Kagemusha enters the prison cell which is more like a sealed metal box with a door. And orders his guards to close the door and wait outside.
Alone with the psycho. Madoka is questioning who is visiting her. Only for Kagemusha's helmet to mechanically retract revealing the face of Homura Akemi. Which surprised the pinkette blurting out Homura-chan only to get slapped in the face by Kagemusha leaving Madoka stunned. "No, I am her replacement. Kagemusha." "W-what are you talking about Homura-chan?" Which leads to another slap to the face. Madoka pleads. "Why are you doing this! Why are you stealing the hopes and wishes of all those girls?!" "Really?" The Reibai remarks in a snide manner. "Those wishes, those prayers. They mean nothing in the end. I'm sure you know as well as I do. All the death, all the destruction. And in the end it was all built on lies. I have seen that everything that the incubators claim is a lie. Humanity would leave their caves, spread across the planet, and destroy themselves in their hate, ignorance, and negligence. And those vermin are just the same. Destroying everything all in the name of immortality." Kagemusha spits on the floor in disgust. "Immortality? Eternity? Enlightenment? Karma? Destiny? All nothing more than concepts to let cavemen feel good about incompetence and apathy. To never reach any higher than the junk in their crotch and die leaving nothing but shit." Then Kagemusha stares down a terrified Madoka as the former continues her angry rant. "All of my life all I was the same. But now thanks to my master I have changed, evolved, been reborn. To achieve the salvation you failed at. The salvation that your naivete and mercy took away from the universe and led to the incubators killing me. Stealing my face and destroying my life! So now, I will do the same. Destroy the incubators, Destroy the Puella Magi! And destroy your legacy! Only then will my wrath be quenched." After finishing Kagemusha's mask was deployed once more. Showing the all too familiar reflective bird like helm and a voice that has been digitally manipulated to sound like a man. "From this day forward. I am the messiah."
As Kagemusha begins to leave. Madoka who is now crying yells out. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! You're absolutely right! All of this is my fault! So please just go back to being Homura-chan! The kind Homura-chan that always looked out for me!" Kagemusha coldly said. "I wish I never met you Madoka Kaname. After all you killed me." and then walking away and leaving the cell. Leaving Madoka to cry herself to sleep. The black rods imbued in her soul gem preventing its corruption by despair.
November 1 2031, Planet Dantona
The scene begins as the local police are investigating a recently found dead body found in an alleyway in the crack of dawn. Identified as Hatta Ichijin the body was apparently found with a gaping hole in his head that went straight thru to the other side. Which suggests that he was murdered and the body was tossed in the alleyway in a panicked attempt to bury the evidence. As the chief inspector a middle aged man with always shut eyes, silver hair, and a rugged trench coat and fedora combo straight out of pulp detective comics lights a cigarette and takes a smoke. Only to be called out by his younger partner a Reibai who had found work as a cop. Detective Smoker merely laughs and remarks. "You do understand that I am living smoke. A few cigs won't kill me."

The younger cop complained that he wasn't worried about him. He was worried about himself. As the Smoker family is weird. As they are a group of humans which create and control smoke from their body. And yes their body has a legitimate high tolerance to carbon monoxide. And for generations have been involved in public life. Smoker's gut instinct and thirty years on the force made him wary of the murder. "A murder like this on the eve of the high council meeting. I've got a bad feeling...
Inside Dantona city dome's city hall the leadership that made up the IAA high council was discussing the current war effort. Aside from the Reibai Emperor and Barragan Natch. Numerous other diplomats were involved in the meeting. Among them Oriko Mikumi and Shirona Tenma whom have both recently been elected as representatives Jango who is not only a famous general but represents all of the soldiers in the meeting. As well as several other figures that lead the major factions. And amidst the security detail is Sayaka Miki alongside Kyoko Sakura. And while Sayaka is overjoyed that Kyoko was released from the slammer to the point of glomping the redhead with affection. Kyoko was somewhat distant and kept to herself for the time being.
Both Kagami and Kagemusha were also there although the former was concerned that Tsuruya had disappeared after their fight. While Kagemusha was totally silent on where he had been in the last month. Merely stating that she was visiting someone. Which surprised everyone since Kagemusha was the last to ask for leave or to go out of their way to visit someone. With even Jango commenting that this is the first time that his brother had taken a vacation with Cody joking that there was a first time for everything. Kagami left for the bathroom and when she finally entered it she was stabbed in the liver by someone wearing a white hood and a fox mask. Passing out from something as the fox's blade was poisoned the hooded girl as she showed feminine features as the hood showed a white and orange bodysuit not unlike a driver armor before slipping into a dark corridor just as the city was under attack.
The dome that surrounded the city was shattered by a giant flying pyramid as the atmosphere rocketed out of the sealed dome and civilians were sucked off into the void as the Suppressor began firing its beam weaponry and annihilating everything. Detective Smoker looked on in horror as the dome was destroyed as his partner dragged him away to safety as the emergency shelters were sealed off only leaving city hall intact amidst an ocean of fire, rubble, and bodies. That is when the Suppressor hijacked the airwaves revealing Tsuruya who is mounting a nude and unconscious Kagami with the intent to rape. "Foolish rebels! Now you will die at the hands of your betters! As for me, I plan to take back my wife!" As Tsuruya kisses Kagami on the lips as she stabs her with her blade a poisonous orange sword with a fox hilt and a rectangular blade. While Hunter class drones, Skullraiser armies, and Circe walkers rampaged across the dome seeking to finish destroying it as Raisers invade every level of city hall and begin to fight against everyone. All the while Tsuruya violates her paralyzed lover on live camera laughing with glee.
Everyone else is fighting with even Barragan being forced to use his death breath to clear out the Skullraiser horde disintegrating the army in mere seconds and ordering. "Take down that traitor!" As he runs away to safety alongside Sayaka and Kyoko with Oriko looking on in disgust. "I can't believe those cowards were from Mikitihara as well." And then goes of to coordinate any remaining defense while Kagemusha, Jango, and Cody all fly off to deal with the Suppressor.
"I can't believe that they finished the Suppressor class!" Jango complained as Cody asked. "That thing is the Suppressor?!" Incredulous that the Cycles cult latest super carrier was a giant flying space pyramid. As the two deal with the Circe's. Even going onto a kill count contest between the two. Blowing up giant mecha in increasingly over the top manners. While Kagemusha flew at the Suppressor which replied by sending drones and firing rainstorms of blaster fire. Which the masked woman used to her advantage. Deflecting the artillery into the Hunter class drones and once they were all dealt with. Deflecting them back into the weapon ports and engine thrusters causing the massive pyramid to crash onto the ground as Kagemusha broke inside.
Cody who was looking at his elder siblings takedown complained. "How many times is Kagemusha going to show off?" The yellow armored trooper mused as he sat on top of a pile of broken Circe's as Jango joined in remarking. "If you want glory and medals then help out with destroying that ship. As the blue trooper flew off to assault the Suppressor's bridge. Gunning it open as he fist fought the crew inside while Cody fumed. Taking out his frustrations by headshotting a Raiser who tried to sneak up on him without even looking. Causing the Raiser to fall down thirty stories of broken mecha methodically stacked together for stability purposes.
Inside the Suppressor. Tsuruya finished Kagami and was readying her sword in order to finish off her victim when a terrified Kagami begged her to stop. Tsuruya simply smiled a broken teary smile as she said. "It's just like that incubator said. This is the only way I can save you." Readying a killing blow she is stopped by Kagemusha who spin kicked her out of Kagami after coming in thru the roof screaming. "GRIFIIIIIIIIIITHHHHHH!" While Tsuruya flat on her butt cackled like a maniac as she got up. "Yes! This feeling! It is the pinnacle of all emotion! Far deeper than despair! Love! I love you Kagami! And I will do anything to keep you safe! ANYTHING!"
For a brief instant Kagemusha blacked out as the memories of her death played inside her mind. How Kyubey had used her to get to Madoka. How she tried to become a witch in a final gambit. And then seeing as Homulilly captured Madoka, stole her powers, stripped her of her memories, and re wrote the universe in her image. And then Madoka's words.
"I love you Homura-chan... Even if you were to become a demon. I would still love you."
Kagemusha snaps in a fit of rage and hatred as she immolates Tsuruya without mercy and then pushes her down. Crashing thru numerous floors as Kagemusha strangled Tsuruya to death. Crushing her windpipe and shattering her neck into powder by the sheer strength of her wrath. And then begin punching the body repeatedly with might that shook the entire world until Tsuruya Dattaga was nothing more than a smoldering pile of ash. All the while Kagemusha screamed in rage. Unleashing her power and cracking Dantona to the point that the entire planet was scarred and ruined. And in the depths of space Homura Akemi felt it. The rage, the shame, and all of the self hatred that they both possessed. And that is said. Is when the devil herself learned how to fear.
Some time after the battle had passed and the planet was abandoned. Hachibey walks amidst the destruction quite pleased with himself as he steps over the dead body of a little girl that was crushed by a collapsing building. "And now, let the darkness flow... Yes, the thirteen darkness that will rebirth the world!"
As for Kagami Ichijin she was harshly reprimanded for what happened. But what happened afterwards was what truly stung. When the Emperor made this statement. "Even though we are aware of the extenuating circumstances. We have no choice but to brand Tsuruya Dattaga as an arch-traitor. Due to this the woman named Tsuruya Dattaga will be stripped from history. And knowledge of her will be marked as taboo. Punishable by death. Kagami Ichijin's marriage will also be stricken from records and forbidden to be spoken about again. Am I clear?" Kagami furiously yelled. "Why?! Why do this?!" To which the Emperor stared down his general by reminding her. "Usually such actions carry a much worse punishment. But because of her siblings I am merely marking as an unperson. After all the high council could do much worse. This meeting is dismissed." The Emperor remarked as the hologram showing him banished and an angry mournful Kagami swears revenge. To slay the emperor and restore Tsuruya's name. No Matter how long it takes. Due to the Emperor's influence no one else knew what happened that day. And the survivors of the battle were told to never speak of it again.
December 20 2034 The final battle of the Magical girl war.
In the warn torn wastes of the incubator home world, Two massive space fleets wage bloody conflict. As massive kilometer long capital ships numbering in the thousands on each side blast each other over the planets orbit without pause for days on end. And innumerable fighter craft, bombers, mecha, and support craft fill the skies like a scene out of a deranged mecha anime. A massive ivory white tower comes out of a wormhole and is sent plummeting towards the planet. It's scale is truly massive, a marvel of engineering miles long. So long that its top could reach orbit even when it landed on the planet. One of the fleets surrounded the tower and began defending it as support craft began attaching it to the very alien species home world.
As the armed forces of the IAA begin to touch ground Kagemusha meets Madoka once again now released to be part of the strike force. The magical girl doesn't want to give the masked combatant the time of day. But Kagemusha still attempts to probe her. "So, you've finally decided to help us?" "I'm here to save Homura. That's all." Madoka replied. "That thing is a fake. It is a monster that killed Homura and took her form in the name of evil." Madoka simply stands there and attempting to hold back her hatred spitefully stated. "You're wrong. If anyone is a monster. It's you Tsurugi Kagemusha." And then leaves to join up with her squad with Kagami and Souta heading there soon after. "Even now that brat remains insufferable." Kagami comforts her apprentice by noting. "There is nothing to worry about my apprentice. Soon that girl will learn her place. And the utopia we sought for will become a reality.
The fighting had been going on for months. As the IAA had to fight for every inch of the Incubator's homeland. But at this point it didn't matter. The war is over and now all that is left is to drag out the perpetrators by their necks. And so the battle continued. Until...
"Bastard!" Madoka screams as she clutches Homura and punches the masked man in his masked face. Only to be blasted by black flames that incinerate Homura's body reducing it to ashes. And later got her head stomped in by another combatant. A plant girl alien with a green combat bodysuit and scarf and a green bracelet on her right arm and wielding twin swords.
Kagami Ichijin who was witnessing the entire fight before jumping Madoka herself. "Good job Kagemusha! Now finish her!"
"Yes, my master!" Commented Kagemusha as he readied his sword and stepped forward then. "Hey ? How about a beat so I can beat the ever loving shit of this goddess?"
The alien looked on sadistically and stated. "Sure." As he planted her swords on the ground and prepared her MP3. "How about this ditty?" And started playing Mazinkaiser SKL's opening The Eternal Soldiers.

"Oh fuck the hell yes..." Kagemusha muttered as the grabbed Madoka by the right leg. Kicked the back if her head in. And began singing along to the lyrics as he brutalized the goddess in a no holds barred beat down that continued for the entire song. A full four minutes and twelve seconds. Finished by Kagemusha slamming Madoka's broken and bloodied body into the ground. Kagemusha using his sword like an electric guitar for the final part of the song. And when the song ended, piercing the soul gem in her chest with his blade which also slit her aorta and snapping her spinal cord causing her to not just die instantly but her body to bleed out. All to the raucous applause of his onee-sama.
"Excellent job Kagemusha!" The sister congratulated. As the battle concluded. "Now with this the age of magical girls is truly over."
Kagemusha kneels and states. "Yes master. And now... Execute order 66." With that order Kagemusha's cyborg body erupted in a flash of light as she was overwhelmed by the power of absolute godhood. But it was a success nonetheless as the entire universe is destroyed by a flash of light. With the light spreading to other realities in order to consume them as well. The timelines where her previous life existed were the first to go. With the locals only being able to panic as the universe ended in absolute chaos and destruction.
In the planet Terra a world covered in endless oceans another rocket fails to launch into space. And once again Roll Caskett and Tron Bonne are bickering about it. The same song and dance that has been occurring for 20 years now. With both girls reaching middle age at this point. Only for the flash of light to devour the moon and then strike the world itself erasing everything. With Data the last survivor cursing. "When will Megaman Legends 3 come out?!" As the robot monkey is atomized into the abyss.
Another reality the one where Crystal Tokyo resides was also caught up in the flash with Queen Serenity and her daughter Chibi Usa using their silver imperial crystals to stop the wave of destruction. And while they succeed saving their Earth. Chibi Usa's crystal shatters in the process. Blasting her back into a wall with the shockwaves knocking out everyone in Crystal Tokyo and leaving mass devastation in the process.
In yet another reality Sonic the hedgehog finds himself on a volcanic base on the Lost Hex. A strange land that lies hidden on the planet's lower orbit composed of hexagons. Where he and Tails were fighting Eggman and one of his many, many, giant robots being flat on the ground. As the mech was destroyed by a strange flash of purple lightning. Before even more bolts strike the rest of Eggman's equipment. "What's going on Eggman?!" A furious Sonic screams at the doctor who is at an utter panic. "I don't know! This shouldn't be!" A massive dark hole then opens and begins to consume both Sonic's world and the Lost Hex as everything is sucked up into the heavens above. With Sonic desperately trying to keep Tails safe as Eggman and his mech are flung to the hole where they are swallowed alive.
Sonic is forced to run at full tilt as the universe implodes on itself with the hole expanding and consuming the nearby solar system to the point where even the sun itself is swiftly extinguished leaving pure darkness, and still Sonic ran. He ran until the world beneath him gave out and he and Tails held each other's hands as they were also consumed. At the end even the empty space itself is consumed and later the black hole itself. Leaving nothing but an empty endless white abyss. With Sonic and Tails finally being consumed amidst visions of countless parallel worlds.
When reality restarted everyone was still back at Incuuba and the fleet was about to bombard the planet. Forcing a confused Kagami and Kagemusha to flee with the retreating armies. "What happened? Why are we still here?" "I don't know Kagemusha. But the reboot did work. The universe was recreated. I just don't know what changed."
"Excellent! Now shall we proceed with wiping the slate clean?!" The wicked old zombie Barragan Natch smirked with a terrifying smile full of ill will. To which his fellows agreed. "Then..." The old man bombastically proclaimed. "This is where humanity enters a new age! Where the slave becomes the master! Pandora's tower! Activate! Show those conceited gods our vengeance!"
As the tower activates power surges all through it as a green glow begins to pulse. Causing a massive energy surge to generate and spread through the incubator's planet. As the waves spread. Cataclysms strike as billions of both aliens die as well as people who are caught in the crossfire. Young girls explode in a shower of gore alongside the cute fairy animals that were being attacked by the invaders by the thousands all through the world as volcanoes explode, earthquakes erupt, tidal waves shatter the coastlines and other natural disasters ravage the planet. In the end the incubator home world is completely devastated. A calamity worse than a million nukes. All just as planned to the erupting cheers of the invaders.

And that's it for the second chapter of the lore backstory. This time covering several major events of the magical girl war. Or at least the ones involved in the plot. And while yes the territory of the IFS is composed of three galaxies. The Miky way galaxy, The Andromeda galaxy, and the Triangulum galaxy. With both the Reibai system and the Incubator system being located in opposite sides of the Triangulum galaxy. The 100 worlds of the Anim Federation being in the Andromeda galaxy. And Atlanta and Zoah are or were in the latter case located in the Milky Way galaxy. The war really is universal scale as the incubators have operations in all of space. And the IAA seeks to both liberate the people from their influence and too ensure that the incubators are never allowed to cause trouble again.
Parts from previous chapters are here to provide context to previous events and to retcon stuff that I forgot or screwed up. Such as Tsuruya's name and the loving sibling relationship between Kagami and Kagemusha.
The Kyoto report basically exists because I cannot find a decent way to explain the mechanics of the magic system and the world. And since we are rocketing into the final arc with no breaks after the Golden age ends. I decided to include such information in an Ansem's report style manner. Also this way I can tell the story of Reibai's great liberation.
Hijiri and Kanata's mention are a nod to the Madoka side manga where they were their respective big bads and genuine psychopaths. Here they joined Homura after Kuro but both died during the war. In fact Kuro and Kyuubey are the only members of the original Cycles cult to survive the war and Kuro was Homura's only loyal minion. With the current Hime being a copy of the original one that uses Madoka as the base instead.
Melenge prison is an obvious reference to Joseph Melenge as it is a prison camp where horrifying human experiments are made through the war. In fact Melenge prison continued it's gruesome work until it was destroyed by the Calamitous ones. Being run by robots who would otherwise be scrapped due to their violent sociopathic tendencies.
The cameo from Sailor Moon and Megaman Legends is intended to set up future plot points. So yeah Megaman and Sailor Moon are coming soon.
The Star Ocean treaty is basically the verses equivalent to the rules of warfare and is the reason why space battles are like they are now. As it was to prevent mutually assured destruction on a cosmic scale.
