Walking into the school on the first day, Ichigo found that it was abuzz with the fact that he and Sado had joined the school and came from Japan. Kagami smiled slightly at him patting his arm with a chuckle. "Do not worry so much, nii-chan, you'll be fine," she promised. Ichigo rolled his eyes. They had a relaxed dress code, which he found much different then what he was used to, but still expected you to wear clothes that were clean, washed, and fitted correctly.
He had gone for a pair of his well loved and washed soft bell bottom jeans, a three-quarter sleeved black shirt under a giant sweater that feel down to his knees, and low heeled boots. He had pulled his ever growing hair into a tight French braid with the help of Yuzu, allowing it to fall down past his shoulder blades.
"I know that I will be. But really? This is going to turn out…new," Ichigo muttered as Sado closed the door to the car that had driven them to the school. The car took off once they made sure that they had their things, the three coming to the school so early like most of their classmates. They were intent on putting things into their lockers, get their class schedules and explore around the many buildings so that they knew where things were if they had to do it.
Ichigo's art supplies had already been placed into his extra large art locker that all of the art based students got. He had bought his own lock since they didn't provide them unless the student couldn't get one set up in time, and had made sure that it was a good one.
"Come on. I will show you to the cafeteria after you're done putting things up. They have a delightful green tea offered and some of the students work in the lines to help supplement their allowances for things," Kagami said, smiling at them.
"So the packets told us," Sado rumbled, having decided to wear a long sleeved shirt with a pair of simple jeans and his usual boots. He slung his bag over one shoulder, having bought a new one for their school since they were all so used to having shoulder bags. But then they had seen the tablets that they were using for classes and decided to switch out the shoulder bags for ones that would hold the tablets properly.
"Did you remember to charge your tablets last night for classes? And have your extra batteries on hand?" Kagami asked as they started to walk up the stairs to the front courtyard where students were gathering with friends. A blond male joined them, running his eyes over the two new people, seeing the way that Sado's hand was resting on Ichigo's lower back.
"Hello. You two must be the new students that Kagami told me about," the male greeted. "I am Felix Graham de Vanily, business track. Kagami told me that you were her cousin and cousin's boyfriend?" he asked. Ichigo chuckled.
"That we are. I'm Kurosaki Ichigo. Er...that is Ichigo Kurosaki," Ichigo replied, shaking the other males' hand. Sado chuckled at him. "Art track."
"I'm Sado Yasutora," Sado greeted, bowing slightly before shaking Felix's hand with a slight quirk of his lips. "Business track with a connection to the music and art tracks."
"It's a pleasure to meet you both," Felix replied. He smiled and bowed in return. "I was asked by the principle to show you both around if you wanted me to. Of course with Kagami, seeing as Kagami does need to go to the art department to gather the packets for the business class, she can show you to your main room. I will be able to show Sado to our rooms. I believe that we're both if M. Dubois' class," he said. Sado nodded.
"That does sound wonderful. Thank you, Felix-kun. Felix was the only one who approached me when I first joined the school due to my...standoff nature," Kagami explained to her cousin, Ichigo raising an eyebrow before snorting.
"You are not standoffish. You're collected but warm. You just don't always show that when you're around new people and that's just on being our family," Ichigo said, waving one hand. "Come on. I heard tea after lockers."
"Oh, right. I was going to show them to the cafeteria so that they could test the tea that is offered. I'm sure that Yuzu-chan made breakfast for you?" she asked. Ichigo nodded. "Then I will show you where to get a list of what they are doing each day in the school," she promised, Ichigo looping their arms together.
"Please, do," Ichigo hummed. The group of four headed through the open halls towards the cafeteria that was in the central building. Ichigo rather liked the layout of a mix of smaller tables with some longer tables for larger groups to gather around. Kagami showed him how the lunch lines worked and what they had to offer on the student lunch plan along with what they could buy for a good price.
Each of the students servers all had little tip jars near their station with their names on it that someone could add money to, mostly one dollar bills by the looks of it. As one of the tea bar workers explained, supplies was expensive and for their personal projects, having a little extra money helped every little bit.
Ichigo chose a large green tea with some honey powder and a small bowl of fruit, having decided that he wasn't hungry enough for a full meal yet, but still nibblish.
Sado went with a bagel and some of the fresh whipped cream cheese while Kagami and Felix both got their own meals. The took a seat at a smaller table.
"So why did you come here to Paris? To be precise, why did you come to the Rose School?" Felix asked, Ichigo putting his tea down after a sip.
"I applied to come here," Ichigo admitted. "A few schools actually. I know what I want to do once I leave high school so this is a good first step. Between the reputation of those who come here, and the fact that I am a foreign exchange student with the Head of the Karakura Hospital as a backer and a well known business man as my other sponsor meant that it was a good move for me."
"It is a very good move," Kagami said, nodding her head as they all started to eat breakfast. Ichigo opened his fruit bowl and smiled, pleased at the fact that there was a small thing of vanilla yogurt that he could dip his fruit into. He removed it from his fruit and placed it to the side, Sado doing the same with his own. "Sado-san, I believe, is trying to go into the music industry."
"I am," Sado rumbled. "My father and mother were both a part of the music industry. I know that Ichigo's mother was an international actress for a time before she had him and his siblings," he said, looking to Ichigo who gave him a thumbs up. "So I want to go into a business that I have some connections from but that I also enjoy doing."
"It sounds as if you both have good, solid plans," Felix mused as he ate his egg roll, a soft smile on his face as he chewed. "Do you think that you will be able to return to your home after this without issue?" he asked, genuinly curious.
"It will not be a hardship to return to Karakura Town. Due to the status of us being considered an internationa school in Paris, that will be easy enough," Ichigo told him, looking up from the pineapple chunk that he had been dipping. "We made sure that we could transfer our credits back and forth before we applied," he admitted, shrugging one shoulder.
"When they graduate in two years, they will most likely be able to attend Tokyo University if they do not choose another school," Kagami told them. She finished her own breakfast fairly quickly. She wiped her mouth and smiled softly at them. It was just a little quirk of her lips, nothing amazing, but just enough to make them smile in return. "Nii-chan, if you're almost done with your breakfast, we can head to your classroom so that you can get things from your locker."
"Ah, that works for me," Ichigo said, finishing off his fruit and putting the trash together. He stole a quick kiss from Sado, Felix rolling his eyes as Kagami cooed before getting herself back under control and then they left, heading for their first day of class.
