Betrayal

When Ron betrayed the Hizoku, burning the village and killing many himself, Duo Lon had vowed to kill him for his actions, despite the man being his own father. But what happened in the direct aftermath of the betrayal, when the young, usually calm and collected assassin had to come to terms with everything that had happened? (One-shot, backstory piece.)

2. Author's Update Notes and Picture Link

A/N: This chapter is a quick author's note: I had ended up updating this story after learning some bits and pieces from Ureshino, on his blog. In particular, the fact that Duo Lon is the 3rd eldest child, as well as the fact that Ron also killed elders, women, children, and even his own wife-Duo Lon's mother. I wanted to adjust the dialogue to reflect this fact.

Also, there's a lovely picture that goes along with this story, as drawn by the excellent ManaChan, and you can see the picture here that captures the rawness of the situation.
