AGE 761
Goku and Piccolo formed a plan to take down Raditz, Goku's older brother. Goku would distract Raditz by fighting him off while Piccolo charged up his Special Beam Cannon technique. However, Goku was eventually overpowered by Raditz and got knocked on his back by his older brother's Saturday Crash technique. Raditz prepares to finish off Goku, only for Piccolo to have fully charged his ultimate attack.
"SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!" Piccolo declares his attack and fires it.
Raditz saw the attack coming and was about to get hit by it. But, in a twisted sense of fate, Raditz gets powered up by an unknown force and swiftly evades the Special Beam Attack. Raditz, in return, fires another Saturday Crash, which hits the weakened Piccolo square on.
"Piccolo!" Goku yelled, horrified for the Namekian's safety.
Raditz's scouter beeps at him, pointing him to another power level nearby. In that moment, Ricky arrives at the battle, floating down to the ground like an angel sent from the heavens. Goku, Piccolo, and Raditz all watch him land on the ground and walk over to Raditz, confident in his own ability to fight in whatever mission is given to him. Goku, having rested enough despite his injured state, gets back onto his feet and prepares to throw down against his older brother once again.
"No matter how much trash there is, it's still trash!" Raditz yelled in irritation.
"So that's how you think of us Earthlings, huh?" Ricky back-talked the Saiyan.
"Hey... Can I get your help?" Goku asked Ricky for his assistance.
"Of course! Can't afford to have you two dying now, can I?" Ricky replied with a bright smile on his face.
"Is this what you want? Hey, can you even hear us?" Old Kai communicates with Ricky.
"Oh, believe me. I can hear you. Can you hear me, though?" Ricky replied telepathically as to not say anything that would endanger the mission.
"Loud and clear! We can communicate with you this way from the Time Nest to give you advice!" Supreme Kai of Time replied back as well.
"Your entrance was pretty good, Ricky. Not the best, but good enough. But I suppose we can talk about that later. Right now, Goku and Piccolo are supposed to work together to defeat that nasty turd, Raditz." Old Kai explains the mission to Ricky.
"That's true. But it looks like Raditz is far stronger than he was in the proper timeline." Supreme Kai of Time noted Ricky of Raditz's increase in power.
"Yeah, I can tell that sudden rise in power wasn't normal at all. Might as well go help Goku and Piccolo out if I want this mission done." Ricky replied telepathically, sensing the evil force within Raditz.
"Piccolo, are you alright?" Goku spoke to Piccolo, worried about the Namekian's wellbeing.
"Heh... I won't allow myself to die before the entire world bows to me. Listen, I only have one more of those left in me! It needs to count, so you have to hold him still!" Piccolo replied to Goku, having enough Ki to charge one more Special Beam Cannon.
"Got it!" Goku nodded in agreement and attacks Raditz.
"And you, I don't know who you are, but defend me with your life until I'm ready!" Piccolo spoke to Ricky, commanding him to defend him, as Goku cannot beat Raditz on his own.
"Ya goddamn right, I will!" Ricky replied to Piccolo before charging into the fray.
Ricky would be the first to charge at Raditz, giving him a 20-piece combo of punches and kicks. Raditz tries to retaliate by using a Saturday Crash on him, only for Ricky to jump over him and have Goku fight him off. While he lets Goku fight off his older brother for a bit, Ricky notices his Ki building up in his body, having the natural ability of Earthlings to have Ki that passively regenerates. Ricky would let his Ki build up for a moment while Goku continued fighting off Raditz. Once his Ki was filled to the max, Ricky would fire 20 Ki blasts at Raditz, which hit him and caused greater damage than anyone would expect from an Earthling.
Raditz gets enraged, revealing the evil force present in him as he turns to see Ricky.
"Ayo, Raditz. Don't come over here, bro. You'll regret it. I'm warning ya!" Ricky mockingly warns him.
Obviously, Raditz didn't listen and charged at Ricky, who only replied with an unamused eye roll before grappling him three times in a row. The first grapple would send Raditz flying, the second grapple would send him crashing back down, and the third grapple would simply toss Raditz aside. Raditz, unwilling to put up with such disrespect from an Earthling, charges right back at Ricky and throws a punch, only for Ricky to use the Just-Guard technique on him and stop the punch. Raditz throws a side kick, only for Ricky to Just-Guard against that as well. Raditz, losing his temper, uses the Shining Friday technique on Ricky, only for the Earthling to simply jump out of the way. Raditz would fly at him and throw an overhand punch, only for Ricky to see it coming and Just-Guard against it at the last second.
"Well, Raditz. Never say I didn't warn ya..."
Ricky push-kicks Raditz away and unleashes the Full Power Energy Blast Valley immediately after Raditz is at an appropriate distance. Having landed all 31 Ki Blasts on Raditz, the damage that was already done to him settled in, as Raditz was ultimately defeated by Ricky. Raditz slowly but surely got back to his feet but was severely weakened from Ricky's assault. Goku sneaks up behind his older brother and uses the Full-Nelson technique on him.
"What are you doing?!" Raditz yelled to his brother in horror.
"Now, Piccolo! DO IT!" Goku screamed for him to fire the attack.
"Special Beam Cannon!" Piccolo fires the final attack on both Raditz and Goku.
The Special Beam Cannon, fired from Piccolo's fingertips, not only hits Raditz and Goku square on, but pierces right through them like a hot knife through butter, making Ricky cringe at the sight of such injuries given to both Saiyans. Goku and Raditz all collapsed from their injuries, which would prove fatal to both of them.
"Agh... Damn it...!" Raditz coughed up blood.
Goku chuckles in pain but in triumph, as the battle ultimately was a victory for him and Piccolo, who had used up all of his Ki in the final Special Beam Cannon and could barely stand on his feet.
"Serves you right..." Piccolo replied to Raditz's words.
Piccolo would realize Ricky had vanished not long after he fires his ultimate attack on Raditz.
"Who was that? Where did...?" Piccolo looked around to see where Ricky had vanished.
Hiding behind a small plateau, Ricky would take a moment to see the aftermath of the battle, with Piccolo being the only survivor and Goku and Raditz slowly but surely dying of the injuries dealt to them. Frowning a little, Ricky would be transported out of Age 761. But unknown to Ricky, however, a Saiyan eerily similar to Goku was spying on him with an extremely muscular Namekian on his side, having obvious evil intentions against the Earthling.
"That was some handy work. Those moves weren't half bad at all!" Old Kai compliments Ricky for his efforts.
"Aye, any training I do would guarantee victory for any ally of mine!" Ricky replied with confidence.
"Goku and Piccolo would surely have been defeated if you hadn't stepped in and saved them. You probably know by now, Ricky, but your job is helping to correct any inconsistencies like this that crop up in the timeline. This time went smoothly, but battles later on in history get intense. So, continue with your training, because only the strong can correct history!" Old Kai explains to Ricky how being a Time Patroller is like.
"Ya goddamn right, Old Kai! I never missed a day of training in my life!" Ricky replied with honor and respect.
"And since you're training under the greatest kai in the universe, there shouldn't be much to worry about. As long as you listen to my advice, you'll come into your own eventually, and-" Old Kai would get cut off by Supreme Kai of Time.
"Yeah, we get it! You really do ramble, old man." Supreme Kai of Time walked over to him and Ricky, along with the universe creating bird, Tokitoki.
"Listen here, Supreme Kai of Time. I'm only about a millennium older than you. That hardly makes me an old man!" Old Kai spat at her, not taking the insult.
"What are you saying? Anyone who laid eyes on you would easily call you an old man!" Supreme Kai of Time reminds Old Kai about his appearance.
"Funny thing is, you're not exactly wrong..." Ricky commented, loving the banter between Old Kai and Supreme Kai of Time.
"Don't even try to compare yourself to an adorable girl like me!" Supreme Kai of Time taunts him out of nowhere.
"Eh?! You call yourself adorable?! How do you find a hat with a head that big?!" Old Kai yelled at him, insulted by her taunting.
"Okay, Kais. Let's not bicker amongst ourselves, alright?" Ricky calmly settles the situation with a smile.
"Yes, Ricky. Forgive us for that. Well, that's all from us for the moment. We'll tell you more about the world later on." Old Kai nodded his head in agreement.
"Okay then... You've gotta be bored half to death after listening to his speeches. Am I right?" Supreme Kai of Time subtly taunts Old Kai again.
"I mean, comparing to stuff like say, Training and Fighting, listening to an old man's ramblings is like the 2nd easiest thing in the world for me." Ricky replied casually.
"I can't tell if that's an insult or a compliment..." Old Kai raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"It merely depends on how you see it." Ricky replied to Old Kai, giving him a reasonable answer to his question.
"Well, allow me to walk you out. This way, please!" Supreme Kai of Time points to the gate ahead.
"Yes, Ma'am!" Ricky replied with confidence as he walked down with her, leaving Old Kai behind initially.
"Hey, wait! You can't just jump ahead like that!" Old Kai berated the two.
Old Kai sighed before walking alongside Ricky and Supreme Kai of Time and Tokitoki.
