Alex, Harper, Justin, and Juliet are given the opportunity to be mentors for a class of young wizards at WizTech. When Alex teaches the kids advanced spells in attempt to be "the fun teacher," she must right her wrong and convince the kids to use magic responsibly. Meanwhile, Max spends the weekend with Juliet's parents, and mishaps ensue when he helps to staff The Late Night Bite.

Harper was stuck with Justin. And, Justin was fine. There was nothing inherently wrong with Justin. He just wasn't Alex. That was it. Well, he got on her nerves. Justin refused to believe in the best of Alex, and Harper couldn't understand how someone so smart could miss the obvious. Alex was absolutely incredible.

Justin and Alex changed after Puerto Rico. With Alex’s lack of her usual pranks and aggressiveness, they’ve resorted back to when they used to be close, used to need to hang out together. In that, something else entirely moves in.

Justin is the exact opposite of Alex. He can't do anything without thinking through it; she is impulsive in the extreme. Sometimes it annoys her, but very rarely, an occasion comes up that requires Alex to be both impulsive and thought-out, and it's almost always Justin she pulls her claws out for. (Or: Someone steals 13-year-old Justin's hat.)

After the final and before Alex vs Alex, a one-shot focused on Max and dealing with his feelings about losing the Russo Family Wizard Competition. A possible moment I thought we could've been shown but was not, no thanks to Disney. So here is my version of what I think might've happened. (Max-centric/Max-whump).

Young Max is scared of the monsters under his bed, so his big brother Just comforts him and assures him that there is no such thing as monsters. Even though they were wizards, but Max was only a young child.
