Based on the 1972 film "The Mechanic" with Charles Bronson. Arthur Bishop is a mechanic, a professional hit-man. The original film has him dying at the end, but that's not quite the way it worked out according to this one-shot. I don't own these characters, but I have killed - mosquitoes in my house.

Arthur Bishop has finally retired from his activities or so he thought. When he settles down in Cancun, Mexico under one of his aliases, little did he expect to do one last assignment and this time….out of a love he had always denied himself.

This story begins after the movie ends, only the red Jag didn't explode and Steve didn't die. Arthur Bishop knew letting Steve McKenna in was a bad idea. He thought maybe Steve's death was a good thing for him. But is it? In fact Steve didn't die as he planned, and what happened afterwards leaded them to a new ending. Hopefully, a better one. Through the agency, Steve Knight -formerly McKenna- meets Charlie Stratus, a fellow mechanic who unwittingly knows the only means of bringing down a more sinister faction of the extermination company. When nothing goes as planned and the two end up on the run, there's only one person Steve thinks capable of protecting Charlie; his former mentor Arthur Bishop.

Arthur and Sarah have a convenient relationship: he gets in town, he calls, she meets him, and he gets business taken care of. But is this set-up exactly what Sarah wants? And if not, can she keep her desires to herself so she doesn't rock the boat?
