What if Dredd found Anderson tinkering on her Lawmaster and it turned him on?

2012 Movieverse. OC-heavy. Two years after the events of the movie, Dredd has a new Rookie out on the streets for the first time. But when the new Judge insists on a deep investigation of a drug ring corruption and danger is revealed in the Justice Department. Can Dredd and Anderson solve the mystery in time?

2012 Movieverse. What happened immediately after the penultimate scene of the movie? How does Dredd tell Anderson she's passed?

At the end, Dredd confronts Anderson with the good news.

Judges Dredd and Anderson investigate a string of bodies left in bank vaults. These arent robberies gone bad. This is something much bigger.

Dredd was a tough, non-compromising Judge, dealing out the Law's consequences on lawbreakers without mercy or remorse. Then he (literally) falls into Rowena Gardner's life and things weren't quite the same. He finds himself attached to her and her to him, and the rest is history. Six months after Peach Trees, Anderson finds herself in another drug bust gone wrong. "She was feeling sure she'd rather have another bullet in her side than have to arrest another slimy, wriggling, completely horny drug addict."

I wrote this in reaction to the conclusion of the recent Judge Dredd Prog in 2000 AD, "The Samaritan" storyline that was published this Wednesday. I felt sick with despair and that is what the repulsively sadistic author of this story intended. So I decided to write a more balanced ending.
