In modern day New York, Radames looks for Aida as a result of the promise he made to her back in the tomb.

My take on the end of the musical, once Radames and Aida find each other again.

Aida saw Mereb being taken captive.

Amneris is set to marry Radames in a week's time. She thinks she knows what she wants until a new slave is given to her as a new handmaiden. She soon realizes that everything is not what it seems in the royal palace. Aida/Amneris

Amneris is feeling neglected by Radames even more than usual, and decides to ask her future father-in-law Chief-Minister Zoser to explain to her Egypt's foreign campaigns, to try and figure out why Radames has been so busy lately. Little does she know that Zoser has also been feeling lonely, and that both of them just yearn to be touched. (light smut; no sex) Amneris/YOUNG!Zoser

At the end of the musical, Radames and Aida spot each other as they stand in front of the tomb in a modern day museum. I was cast as Aida in this production this past summer and to get a little closer to my character, I wanted to know how the two would react upon meeting hundreds of lifetimes later. I did a short scene with my Radames, which I then developed into this story.
