the fallen knight Doberman Claw has long been known for his follies and failures, but what if at heart he was still loyal to the royal family and knighthood that evicted him? what if he must help the paw patrol rescue knights to find and destroy the evil twin of the mystic sword Excaliber known as Caliburn before the duke of flapping-ton can use it against the world!

1. DARKNESS ROLLS FORTH

SWORD OF DARKNESS-DARKNESS ROLLS FORTH

(DUKES EAGLE JET/NIGHT TIME)

The duke of Flapping-ton half sits/lays relaxed with a hand under his chin in the pilot seat of his private eagle shaped jet with the doberman known as the fallen knight Claw laying at the dukes side as Duke vented his frustrations "I can't believe those stupid paw patrol rescue knights beat us again!" Claw looks at the Duke for a moment and then lays his head down on his paws and mumbles to himself "Well Duke, what you need is a fool proof plan; Not the half baked pieces of bread that you've been calling plans lately." Claw closes his eyes as he mentally recalls the pages of the story book of Barking-burg used to hold the stories of knights past, which he had studied his whole life, searching the pages with his mind, looking for a solution for their problem, Not realizing he doses off into a short nap, in the dream he sees a black mist so dark that it looked demonic was surrounding him. Suddenly out of the mist comes a floating claymore blade so dark that it can barely be seen against the surrounding mist. Claw realizes what he is looking at and the sword seems to be calling to him. Suddenly Claw sits up with a startled, quick gasp while shaking his head for a second before calling out "Duke! I have an idea! Have you heard of Excalibur?" "Yes, who hasn't heard of that sword?" Claw looks up at the Duke for a moment in deep thought 'maybe I shouldn't tell him...' and then decides to, halfheartedly anyways, saying "Did you know that Excalibur has an evil twin sword named Caliburn?" Duke sits up and looks at claw with a sarcastic are you serious look. "No I didn't, how is that possible?" Claw looks at the duke for a moment chewing his lip in nervousness. "Well sir, when Excalibur was made the one who forged it knew that to keep the balance of light and dark, good and evil, and so forth, he had to make a sword of pure evil to counter the sword of pure good, or else all would fall into chaos." Duke grins darkly "Do you know where the sword is?" Claw does not like the grin on his face and swallows a lump in his throat "No sir, not directly anyways. The location is hidden in the story book of Barking-burg, I read what the sword can do when I was still a knight hand chosen and trained to protect his daughter the princess, and quiet frankly I was horrified at the time, still am. It was so horrible that I deliberately chose to forget I ever saw the words that are hidden, I discovered it by accident, and told his majesty the King. The King confided in me that secret is the most well kept secret of Barking-burg royalty, he swore me to silence on my life, not my knighthood, but my LIFE." The Duke smiles in thought and looks at Claw "If I were to get the Barking-burg book for you, could you find this sword to rival Excalibur?" The doberman put a paw beneath his chin in thought, not if he could, there was no doubt about that, but if he wanted the Duke to have an object that powerful. The sword was the living embodiment of evil, death, and destruction. 'If I tell the Duke where the sword is after I get the book, I can't go back to the way things were, never again. I never wanted it to go this far, all...all I wanted was to protect the citizens of Barking-burg, and show the royalty that dragons can be reasoned with, and not have to treated like wild beasts. They all want to know why I tried to ride them, that's why-.' Duke impatiently snapped at him "Well! Can you do it or not?!" In shock Claw bolts upright, standing at attention "Sir yes sir!" "Alright we have work to do if we want that sword-" The duke grins in an evil way and places his fingertips together right below his chin "-I will not only rule Barking-burg city, but the world. Get your dragon Claw, we have work to do." Claw looks at the duke then shoots his gaze to the floor and grins in dismay and anguish at what he may have just done. "You must execute my plan to the letter, without question, or we will never have that sword, understand?" The duke outlined his plan, Claw was however forming a plan in his own head, one to betray the duke and make himself the hero of barking-burg, and reclaim his knighthood once and for all, even if he had to serve along side the rescue knights of the paw patrol, he didn't care, he would stop at nothing to reclaim what he had trained HIS WHOLE LIFE to obtain.

(BARKING-BURG CASTLE/NEXT DAY AT NOON)

The princess and the paw patrol are playing a round of hide and seek with Ryder seeking, when Claw and Sparks land in the courtyard, quite unannounced. Claw jumps off and runs up to Ryder in the castle foyer looking desperately at the young boy with a look of fear and despair on his face. Before Ryder can ask whats wrong, the princess comes running up and says "What are you doing here Claw?" Claw gazes upon the princess for a second then screams "I need you all to help me, NOW!" They all wince at Claws voice before Chase asked "What's so important?" "You are not going to believe me, but I need to speak with the princess alone." Ryder asks Claw with suspicion in his voice "What could be so important that we would allow you one moment alone with the princess?" Claw sighs and replies "It is a matter of top secret royal importance, I can not discuss the matter with even you rescue knights." Chase sneers at that "You are not a knight anymore, so how can it be a matter of royal importance?" Claw sighs and walks up to the princess and motions her to his level and whispers one word into her ear "Caliburn." The princess stands up and gasps. "We must speak alone at once."

(PRINCESSES BEDROOM/5 MINUTES LATER)

The princess slammed the door shut behind both of them and breathed a heavy breath of disbelief as she lay her head against the door the princess asked Claw "How did the duke find out about Caliburn?!" Claw, who was looking at the floor of the chamber as he debates how to word his next statement carefully so that he would not incriminate and condemn himself to death! Claw looks up just in time as the princess turns around and he says to her "This is just another one of the dukes stupid, silly schemes as you can guess Princess.-" Even as a fallen knight, Claw knew how to keep his composure around royalty. "-He doesn't know where the secret location is, all the efforts by him to seek it out will be fruitless your highness. I came here to inform you as soon as I could get away." At that moment the intruder alert sounded throughout the castle, Claw and the princess ran out of the Princesses bedroom to see the duke with the book in hand running out of the secret room. Claw charged forth at once yelling at the top of his lungs "Stop at once! And return the book of Barking-burg, Duke! Your game is over!" Duke however had other ideas, running toward the stairs. Looking down to see all the rescue knights in full gear, the duke ran up the stair well rather than down. Upon reaching the top tower, he jumped into his jet, followed by Claw as the jet took off, Claw grabbed the book in his teeth and snarl's at the duke, who figured out Claws plan. "You want this book and the power for yourself don't you, you blasted mongrel!" The duke lifted the book up with claw still holding on by his teeth, kicked Claw hard in the gut, tearing the outer casing as the force propelled him away, revealing a series of pages hidden in the panels of the book. The armor protected Claws guts, but done nothing to stop him from going overboard, screaming as he fell. Chase barked out his net and saved Claw. Chase ran up to Claw and asked "Are you alright?" Claw hops off the net to the ground "Yes, sir Chase and thank you." Zuma walks up and asks Claw "What is so important that the duke would steal the book of Barking-burg?" Claw looks at the princess who nods at him and says "Claw is the only one who truly knows what the sword of Caliburn can do, or where it is, My father and mother died in an accident on a trip to America before they could tell me, the earl has took care of me since I was 5." All eyes turn to Claw and await an explanation. Claw sighs and looks at the ground shuffling/scratching his paws on the ground for a moment, he looks up at the princess "Your majesty, the princess I must have your word of honor that the vow I am about to break will not result in my death." The princess looks to Claw "You have my word of honor that the broken vow will NOT result in your execution." Claw looks to the all of them then focuses on the paw patrol "The sword of Caliburn is a sword of pure evil found only in the deepest pit of the dragon highlands in the top of the mountain sparks was making his lair, you must get past the black death dragon that guards it. One breath from the fog that he breaths-quite casually might I add-will kill anything dead that stands before it, no protection will stop it. Anything you wear will be melted as your body turns to blood soaked bones, all the modern medicine in the world will do nothing to stop the poison in it's breath. If it makes a blast in anger not only will the chamber where the dragon resides, but the whole cave system where the sword is will be filled with an incurable poison gas. As for Caliburn itself it is far worse than the dragon that guards it. If-big if-you get past the dragon, which is highly unlikely, you will have to deal with the sword itself and the dark temptations that lay within of power, evil and all that is UNHOLY. Only the strongest spirit will be able to resist the darkness. If you manage to take the sword and get out alive, not only will you have control of the black death dragon, but the sword itself will begin to leak its evil into whoever wields it. Only the Holy sword of excalibur will be able to destroy it, and in that battle it comes down to will of wielder and who is purer of soul. Light and dark will face off, the wielder that is purer and stronger will break the weaker and impurer. Whether good or evil prevails will be unseen until the final battle!" Chase is first to snap at this "We have to stop the duke!" Claw is in agreement as he looks toward the dragon highlands "Yes we must at, all costs, no matter what or who, we stop the duke from getting and using that sword."
