"This concludes it" Doctor sighed slumping to his chair.

After successfully leading an operation, Doctor arrived at the department, exhausted but satisfied. Kal'Tsit greeted him with a "Good work" and handed him a stack of papers as if they were some congratulations gift. He would've been surprised if he didn't know better, The moment he saw the mountain of papers on Kal'Tsit's desk he knew how he would spend his time the rest of the he was never angry or depressed about the amount of work he had to do every day. After all the things he did every day weren't just because of his job but they were done because he wanted to do it. Immersing himself in work served as a wonderful shield that protected him from wandering off to dangerous thoughts. And every time he contemplated taking a break, he reminded himself of the sacrifices others had made for his sake

After meticulously filling out all the necessary forms, Doctor stood up from his desk, preparing to make his way to Kal'Tsit's office. However, an unexpected knock interrupted his departure.

He settled back into his chair. "Doctor, it's me," there came a voice he instantly recognized: Mostima welcome guest that brought a smile to his fatigued face.

"Doctor, it's me" Doctor recognized this voice instantly."Come on in"

"Hello, Doctor" she guest greeted him with a warm smile as she entered

"Hello Mostima" After exchanging greetings, she settled into a chair beside his desk.

"What brings you here?" Doctor asked, genuinely surprised by her unexpected visit.

"Aren't you lucky, Doctor, I handled the delivery earlier than expected, and seeing the Lungmen snacks made me want to eat it with you" Mostima's gaze shifted between Doctor and his desk.

"You look terrible, are you still getting overworked to the bone?" she asked lifting her brows

"I just got here from an Operation but well, I can handle this much," told the said Doctor, trying to reassure her

As she returned from her delivery missions, she had somehow developed a certain routine. She would visit the Doctor on the first chance she got and spend time with him. Over time, her visits had become a bright spot in his life. How ironic she thought, visiting him the first chance she got when she used to push away the Doctor or disappeared out of his sight. And despite her fleeing attitude Doctor still looked for her

For the doctor unlike most of the operators he didn't interact with Mostima because of his job, he truly thought of the time he spent with her relaxing and comfortable as he always enjoyed their time and knew she had a good-willed motivation behind her attitude of disappearings and was aware of the running joke of "Getting Mostima'd".After all, he had little doubt that he would be the runner-up for the first place if experiencing this were a race.

Her resistance waned as she grew more comfortable around Doctor. She even encouraged

Her resistance waned as she grew more comfortable around Doctor. She even told him to forget what she said before told him he sparked a joy in which Doctor responded normally and continued the conversation, but he was grateful to his mask, for had it not been for it, he would have gotten teased by her.

After every mission that he had to be assigned to somewhere far away, Doctor would bring back snacks, which he researched beforehand. At some point, he even developed quite a knowledge of local food stores and even managed to surprise her. He put the snacks in the drawer and eagerly waited for her return each time.

"Nee~, Doctor"

"What's wrong" Doctor asked her, sensing something ominous in her voice.

"I have heard about the Ifrit's homework incident, If it ever looks like you gonna get hurt or injured again promise to call me alright?" she said giving a scary smile

"Y-yeah I promise Mostima I will call you when that happens" promised Doctor, having no choice but to say yes.

"Oh, these snacks are amazing, where did you buy them Mostima?"

"Trying to change the subject, aren't we, Doctor, there is a famous place in Lungmen Downtown called "Lungmen Snacktown" I got these from here."

"If we happen to stop by there, let's go there alright?"

"No turn Doctor, I will definitely remind you if we ever go there."

Doctor made a mental note of the place. It seemed Mostima wanted him to take the lead when the time came.

"How long will you stay here?"

"Oh, I got 2 weeks off, I'm planning to stay here in the meantime"

"Really?" Doctor asked, surprised by the news.

"You seem so happy, Doctor~" Mostima said lifting her eyebrows, teasing him.

"Of course I am Mostima, you rarely stay that here that long"

"Ehehe" Mostima gave a grin.

*Brring* *Bring*

Doctor turned off the alarm and informed her "I am going to hand these documents to Kal'tsit, I will be right back."

"Ah, no need Doc, I was just about to leave. See you later."

"Later Mostima," He said seeing her out.

Doctor thought about these surprising turn of events on his way to Kal'Tsit's office.

"Hello Kal'Tsit" Doctor entered the open door.

"Doctor, have you filled in the paperwork."

"Yes I did, it's here" Doctor replied, handing her the documents.

She glanced at the paper, then looked at the doctor "There will be no operation for some time, we're going to have a business meeting with should rest well."

He was surprised about this; after all, it's not every day he got to have actual rest." I understand, I will." said the doctor and went to his room, there was no formality or chit chat needed with Kal'Tsit she only cared about work -not that he mind-.

He removed his mask and helmet.

And he closed his eyes, giving himself to sleep.

This is my first fanfiction. When I searched about this pairing (Male Doc and Mostima, Octodeco and 789uz make really good fanarts but I want more) and saw little content so I decided to do it myself. Feel free to give your opinion on any kind, criticism would be much appreciated. If you see some mistakes lorewise or typing feel free to mention it too. Work has been revised and reconstructed, my original plan was to make this a long story but after some research, I couldn't decide to focus more on stories length or stories quality. If you have an idea, whether it be about this or a criticism I would be happy to see.
