Hanna Marin walked the school hallways with her quarterback boyfriend Sean. Heads turned her way as she and her boyfriend walked down to the cafeteria.
Hanna was used to heads turning to her. She was the queen bee at her school since Alison moved away but even then when she was here all eyes were on her.
She entered the cafeteria looking around as Sean stood there with his pals Noel khan, Aria's ex-boyfriend and Ben, Emily's boyfriend. They talked while she stood there awkwardly till she saw her friends. Emily fields, Aria Montgomery and Spencer Hastings.
Hanna stood there debating on whether or not she should go when Sean said something about middle school.
She definitely didn't want to be reminded of that time of her life.
"Sean I'm gonna go sit with my friends okay?" She said grabbing his arm to get his attention.
He nodded briefly in her direction not even sparing her a glance going back to his conversation. Hanna rolled her eyes and walked to her friend's table.
"Hey Han," Emily said smiling
" oh look it's my Hanna banana, " Spencer said putting a fork of salad to her mouth.
"hey, Hanna " aria said not glancing up from her phone texting something.
" I wonder who that could be?" Hanna said teasingly referring to who aria was texting.
Aria and her English teacher have been sneaking around. Aria hooked up with him in the summer and now they've been seeing each other.
Aria just blushed putting her phone on the table. " he wants to know if I want to go to the golden theater in Philly." She said with a big smile.
"You guys are going out public? Isn't that kind of risky?" Spencer said looking at her confused.
"Yeah but my parents won't be there and no one will recognize us." Aria shrugged.
"Okay yeah blah blah but what are you wearing? You can't show up looking like ms. Doubtfire!" Hanna said taking out her compact mirror and looking at her reflection.
"Well if you must know Sharpay Evans I was thinking of wearing that red dress you gave me for Christmas," Aria said rolling but smiling.
"Which one? Hannas gave us clothes and stuff as gifts for 2 years in a row now." Emily said smiling.
"Well I was thinking the red strapless dress and throwing a jacket over it," she said then looked at Hanna to see what she thought.
Aria had a bold sense of fashion and just wanted to look hot but not too flashy.
Hanna thought for a second "totally black and red are totally your colors." Hanna said putting the mirror away and looking at aria.
"I thought you said green was?" Spencer asked looking at Hanna confused.
"It is! And so is red and black! I know my stuff!" Hanna exclaimed.
Before any of the girls could reply Toby came to the table.
"Hey, Spence." He said walking over to their table smiling at Spencer before sitting down and kissing her on the cheek.
Spencer smiled and kissed him back.
"Hey girls," he said to them when Spencer and him got done kissing.
The girls laughed making Spencer blush.
"How did your guy's Friday turn out?" Emily said smiling changing the subject.
" Well, Toby and I took a trip in his truck to..." Hanna zoned out at what Spencer and Toby were saying. She just looked at how happy they looked.
She wanted to feel like that. Even though her and Sean were finally together she thought it would be... more.
Maybe it's cause their relationship started 2 months and a half ago.
She looked at Spencer and Toby and imagine Mr.Fitz and Aria.
Yup, I just need to wait a little.
Then the sudden shrill ring of the bell snapped her out of thoughts.
"Okay, I'll see you I have to go to English," Aria said before leaving abruptly.
"Have fun" Spencer shouted after Aria.
Emily laughed "okay I'll see you and you in class Hanna."
Emily said to Spencer and Hanna but emphasizing Hanna to be in class.
"I will I will!" Hanna said grabbing her bag and walking to Sean.
"Ready to go?" Sean said wrapping an arm around her waist.
Hanna smiled her earlier thoughts came to her mind from earlier. "All set." She said to him and kissed him on the cheek.
They both walked in the hallway to their class when a voice called out.
"Hanna!" A male voice called. Hanna turned around snd saw Lucas with someone she wasn't paying attention to.
"Hey, Lucas," Hanna said smiling big at him. Some people she knew didn't like Lucas. Like Sean and mona, but she thought he was sweet.
"Don't forget you and Sean are taking pictures from prom," Lucas said.
"I won't, I won't." She reassured him.
Sean just nodded not interested in the conversation.
"Great I have to get to class or I'm gonna be late," Lucas said jogging to his class.
"Speaking of which Hanna I have to get to class too." He said kissing her cheek before walking away.
Hanna rolled her eyes and slowly walked to the class she hated the most. Math.

Hanna arrived to her class late and went to sit in her seat that was next to Mona's.
"Marin you're late again." Miss.Harwell called out from her desk.
"Yeah, I know," Hanna replied.
"Do you have a pass?" she responded unamused. Hanna just shook her head no.
"Next time you come in have a pass or you have detention." She warned.
"Unh huh." Hanna dismissed before turning to Mona.
"So you're down to go shopping so we can go to that party coming up." Mona smiled deviously at her.
Hanna and monas way of "shopping " was shoplifting. They don't do it a lot as they use to but they do here and there.
Hanna immediately got the underlying message "now that you mention it there is a cute pair of Giuseppe Zanotti pair of heels I've been dying to try out." Hanna smirked back.
Before Mona could answer the classroom door opened.
A guy walked in with a black beanie on with dark neck-length hair. He had on a gray jacket and a black shirt with a green backpack slung around his shoulders, he also had black jeans with converse on.
Hanna looked at him briefly wondering who the hell he was.
"Oh, you must be the new student. Everyone this is Caleb rivers he's will be joining rosewood high please give him a warm welcome. Your seat's in the back corner over there." The teacher introduced and informed him.
Caleb didn't say anything he just went to his seat.
Hanna thought he was cute but shut that thought down and scolded herself. You have Sean.
"Hm kinda cute. In a shaggy type of way." Mona said.
Hanna just shrugged "who cares I have Sean."

After 3 long boring classes, she went to her locker to put her books in her locker and head to the cafeteria.
"Hey Han, can I use your phone?" Sean said from behind her. Hanna turned around and smiled "well hi Sean." She said kissing his cheek. Sean smiled and pulled her close.
"And why do you need my phone did your phone die?" Hanna asked curiously.
"No there's this new kid. His name is Caleb or something but he can rig phones and stuff and I just paid 30 to get mine rigged." Sean explained.
Hanna just nodded "so you need my phone for what?"
"Noel texted me on Facebook and I need to reply to it," Sean said.
Hanna rolled her eyes and gave her her iPhone.
After Sean checked a few messages he logged out of Facebook and gave Hanna her phone back.
"So do you want to study today?" She asked.
"I don't know it depends on my schedule I might." He shrugged.
Hanna wanted to ask him if they could make out. They only made out 3, maybe 4 times while dating. Otherwise he acts all weird and uncomfortable. Don't even start how he acts when she mentions sex.
"We could make out," Hanna said suggestively.
"Um, Hanna I think we should just stick to studying." Sean with an unreasonable expression.
Hanna just nodded annoyed. Hanna closed her locker "later." She mumbled walking towards her table to sit with her friends.
As she was walking over she saw the new kid sitting at their table. She sat down kind of confused.
"Hey, Hanna," Aria said with a smirk.
"Yeah, we saw you with Sean," Spencer said smiling suggestively.
Hanna just rolled her eyes "nothing happened as usual." She saw Spencer's cheese stick on her plate and grabbed it and started eating it.
"Thank you for asking of course you can have my last cheese stick." Spencer's said sarcastically.
"Hey, guys this is Caleb he's cool." Toby interrupted.
"Toby you already said that though..." Caleb said.
"I know but Hanna came so I had to introduce you again." Toby shrugged.
"I already have her in my class."
"Oh that's cool do you sit by her?" Aria asked.
"No. I sit in the back." Caleb replied.
"Wait wheres, Emily?" Hanna asked.
"She's in a meeting with the swim team," Toby informed her.
Hanna observed Caleb for the rest of lunch. As she contributed to the conversation she notices that he's sarcastic, a smart ass and has his guard up.
The lunch bell rang and they went back to their classes. After more boring classes she walked Into her last period she sat in the back of the class. No one she knew or was friends with at least was in this class.
After the bell rang she started texting Emily not noticing the long-haired new student walking into the class.
Caleb walked to the desk and had a brief conversation before the teacher pointed him to his desk which was next to Hannas.
He sat in the chair and Hanna still didn't notice.
"Ms.Marin!" Mr.Sharpe said standing up from his desk.
Hanna snapped up immediately dropped her phone In her lap " yes Mr.Sharpe?" She asked innocently.
Caleb snickered which made Hanna aware of him being next to her and shot him a dirty look.
"Your phone. Bring it here, you'll get it at the end of class." The teacher said almost coldly pointing to his desk.
Hanna huffed and stood up and put the phone on his desk. She grudgingly went back to her seat with a pout.
Once she sat down the teacher immediately drowned into English literature.
She glanced at Caleb and saw he had an amused smirk looking at her.
"You can stop staring now." She snapped at him harshly.
Caleb just continued looking amused "what's wrong? Princess woke up on the wrong side of her bed?" He teased.
"Oh shut up." Hanna glared.
"Miss. Marin is there something you want to share with the class?" Mr.Sharpe called out.
"No," Hanna said wanting to shrink in her seat.
"Then be silent!" He snapped before turning to write on the whiteboard.
Hanna glared at Caleb and he just smirked back.
She couldn't wait to get out of class.
A/N: this is my first haleb fanfic I plan to update and I have a lot of plans for it. This chapter is very short since it's the beginning but I usually write each chapter to at most 2,000-3,000 words. But anyways hope you like it.
