Jujutsu Kaisen doesn't belong to me. Here is my new story! I hope you enjoy it!

The alarm clock rang loudly that morning. Yuuji let out a groan and, after turning off the device more forcefully than necessary, rubbed his eyes. He yawned heavily and got up.

He walked to the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror above the sink. He let out a sigh of resignation at how messy his hair was. He turned on the tap and splashed water on his face.

He tried to fix his pink hair somewhat with water, but didn't achieve the desired results. He sighed and, giving in, continued to freshen up. He put toothpaste on his brush and started brushing his teeth.

He rinsed his mouth a little while later. He examined his hair again and clicked his tongue in irritation. He tried to tidy it up with his hands as best he could and was satisfied with the result.

He left the bathroom and turned off the light behind him. He went to the kitchen and opened one of the shelves. He searched around until he found a Digimon mug, his favorite. His grandfather had given it to him several years ago, and Yuuji used it almost every day.

He placed it on the counter and grabbed the coffee maker. He opened it and poured some coffee into the mug, then, after putting the coffee maker back in its place, he went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of milk. He poured a little into the mug and put the bottle back.

Once he had heated the milk coffee in the microwave, he added some sugar and drank it almost in one go.

He glanced at the clock on the wall in front of him. It was only 6 in the morning, so if he hurried a bit, he could visit his grandfather before going to class. With that in mind, he finished the remaining milk coffee and left it in the sink. He filled the mug with water and quickly headed to his room.

He entered and went straight to the closet. He opened it and grabbed the first sweatshirt and a pair of jeans he found. He took off the red pajamas he was wearing and got dressed. He picked up his wallet and keys from the table he used for homework and studying.

"Well, I think I have everything," Yuuji muttered aloud as he put both items in his pockets. He smiled a bit and headed to the foyer of the house. But as he was about to lock the door, he realized something. "The backpack! I forgot my backpack!"

Hastily, he returned to his bedroom and saw it leaning against the bed. He grabbed it and slung it over his back. He quickly returned to the foyer and opened the door. He left the house and, before leaving, made sure it was locked.

The hospital was a half-hour walk away, ten minutes if he ran. So, without much hesitation, he started running towards it. The sooner he arrived, the more time he could spend with his grandfather.

"What the heck are you doing here, Yuuji!?"

The boy let out a sigh and rolled his eyes. Completely ignoring his grandfather's outburst, he sat down on one of the chairs and looked at him. "How are you feeling today?"

"What's it to you!?" the old man snapped, furrowing his brow as he glared at him with his blue eyes.

"Grandpa..." the boy protested, averting his gaze slightly.

"You should be in class!"

"It's still more than an hour before it starts," Yuuji tried to reassure him.

Wasuke grumbled a bit and looked at his grandson. "And don't you have anything better to do than to come see me or what?"

"Well, I won't be able to come this afternoon," Yuuji admitted, offering a apologetic smile. "I have an exam tomorrow and..."

"So why did you come here then!?" The old man's irritation returned to his voice. Though raising his voice took a toll, and he started coughing. Yuuji looked at him with concern, but his grandfather quickly recovered. "You should be studying instead of wasting time here, you know?"

Yuuji didn't bother to respond. He had lost count of how many times they had had a similar argument, and they never got anywhere.

"What's the exam on?" Wasuke asked, conceding first.

"Maths."

"And how are you doing with it?" the old man continued questioning him.

"Well, one of my friends explained some things I didn't understand," he admitted. "I'm sure I'll pass this time."

"You better not fail," Wasuke said sternly. Yuuji was about to protest, but at that moment, one of the nurses entered.

She was a young girl with neatly tied blonde hair. Her kind brown eyes landed on the two men and she smiled a little. "Good morning, Yuuji," she greeted. "You came quite early today."

"Yeah, I..." the boy stammered, blushing a little. Wasuke, who had noticed this, cleared his throat.

"What's on the agenda today?" the old man asked, annoyed. "Another blood transfusion?"

"Yes," the nurse said, approaching.

Yuuji let out a sigh. "Well, then, I'm leaving. I'll see you this afternoon, Grandpa."

"Don't even think about coming!" the old man snapped. Then, in a calmer tone, he added, "Spend some time with your friends or in a school club or something."

Yuuji didn't respond, he simply waved goodbye and left the hospital room.

He stopped in the hallway and leaned against the wall. He took out his phone and checked the time. It was 6:20 in the morning. And school didn't start until 8:30. He stretched a bit and headed home.

"I'll kill some time by reading," he thought. He had bought a new manga volume two days ago and could make use of it.

Yuuji stared at the chalkboard intently. He was in English class, one of the subjects he struggled with the most, and it was dragging on forever. Everything written on the board by the teacher sounded completely unfamiliar to him. But despite not understanding anything, he refused to raise his hand.

He directed his amber-colored eyes towards the clock above the chalkboard and had to contain a sigh as he saw that there was still more than half an hour left for the class to end. He resisted the temptation to slam his head against his desk.

Unlike him, the rest of his classmates were paying attention to what was written on the board, taking notes. Yuuji, aware that he had no other choice, imitated them and forced himself to pay at least a little attention to the lesson.

Unfortunately for him, his thoughts soon drifted elsewhere and Yuuji lost track of the class again.

"I wonder if Grandpa is okay. Maybe I should skip club activities today. I'm sure they would understand," the boy thought.

"Itadori, are you listening to me?" the teacher's voice, who was standing in front of his desk, startled him. Yuuji quickly lifted his head and looked at the teacher. At that moment, he realized that all twenty of his classmates' attention was on him. He couldn't help but blush, feeling embarrassed.

"I'm sorry..." the boy murmured, lowering his gaze.

The teacher let out a sigh and gave him a pitying look. As the group's tutor, she knew about Yuuji's family situation, and to some extent, she could understand it. "It's okay, but try to pay attention."

"...Yes..."

The woman returned to the chalkboard and continued the lesson. Yuuji still kept his gaze fixed on his desk. He clenched his teeth with some frustration. Even though he was no longer the center of attention, the discomfort was far from dissipating. Despite it all, he forced himself to lift his head and pay attention. He just had to endure for half an hour until the lunch break.

He directed his eyes to the chalkboard and mechanically started copying what the teacher was writing. He would figure it out later.

Yuuji sat at one of the available seats at the dining table and looked at his friends. He let out a sigh of exhaustion and glanced at the sandwich he had quickly prepared before heading to school. It wasn't anything special, but at the moment, almost all of his grandfather's pension money was going towards covering his medical expenses.

Under normal circumstances, Yuuji would have tried to find a part-time job to ease the financial burden, but Wasuke had strictly forbidden him from doing so. And the boy wasn't going to disobey him on that matter.

"Earth to Yuuji, are you with us?" Upon hearing Setsuko's voice, Yuuji lifted his head and let out a nervous laugh.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought," the boy admitted. "What were we talking about?"

"Takeshi found a little box with a strange object near the school," Setsuko told him, smiling with poorly disguised pride.

"Oh, let me see, let me see," Yuuji said eagerly. Setsuko and Takeshi exchanged a knowing look and grinned openly.

"We're going to open it tonight," Takeshi whispered to him with an air of mystery. "At nine in the occult club room."

Yuuji nodded enthusiastically. "I'll be there," he promised. He took a bite of the sandwich and chewed slowly. "Although I'll have to leave the club early today. I need to be at the hospital by five, you know."

Setsuko's smile faded, and she looked at him with concern. "How's your grandfather?"

Yuuji shifted his gaze slightly. "He's doing okay, I guess. As well as someone with his condition can be."

Setsuko nodded, not entirely satisfied with his response, but aware that she shouldn't press her friend. Adding to that, they hadn't known each other for that long, just a couple of months, but sometimes she felt like she had known him forever.

"Well, if you can't make it, it's alright," Takeshi added quickly.

"I'll come, don't worry. But I'm not sure if I'll make it by nine."

"No problem. Just send us a message when you're on your way."

Yuuji nodded at what Setsuko had just said and continued to enjoy his sandwich.

Megumi Fushiguro stopped in front of Sugisawa High School. He suppressed a dissatisfied grunt and, after putting his hands in the pockets of his uniform pants, he walked towards it.

His idiotic teacher had assigned him the task of retrieving a cursed object hidden in that educational institution. A very straightforward assignment, as even though it was a special-grade object, it was sealed. So, all he had to do was pick it up and leave.

He casually examined the school. Many students were gathered on one of the sports fields.

"Good, that way I can search in peace," the teenager thought as he walked slowly. He felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. He looked around uneasily, trying to figure out what had caused it.

On the ground, swimming like a fish, was a curse with dark blue skin. Its bulging eyes stared straight ahead, paying no attention to the humans nearby.

Megumi relaxed a bit. Thanks to keeping his cursed energy concealed, the curse hadn't noticed him.

"It's not my concern," the dark-haired boy thought. After all, his mission didn't involve eliminating it. Someone else would take care of that.

"Did you hear?" he heard one of the girls passing by say. "The gym teacher challenged Yuuji Itadori to throw a medicinal ball."

"Again?" another asked. "How many times is this now? Five times in the last month?"

Megumi followed the two girls with his eyes. Out of curiosity and boredom, he made his way over. He made sure to stay discreetly in the background and looked towards the field.

There was a pink-haired boy dressed in the school uniform. He was holding one of those medicinal balls with unusual ease. Next to him stood a middle-aged man with a buzz cut, presumably the aforementioned gym teacher.

Megumi let out a sigh. He hoped he wouldn't regret staying as a spectator. For some reason, people seemed quite excited.

His eyes widened, and he involuntarily took a step back when he saw Yuuji Itadori launch the ball. It traveled about thirty meters and hit the post of a nearby soccer goal.

"Who the hell is this guy?" Megumi wondered, amazed. "That strength is only typical of a Zen'in."

He observed with renewed interest. Although he couldn't perceive even a trace of cursed energy coming from him, it wasn't a sufficient test. After all, all sorcerers could hide it.

Curious, he began to advance toward the scene, intending to get a closer look at Yuuji Itadori. But before he could get there, the boy suddenly ran off. At an extraordinary speed. This only heightened Megumi's curiosity.

As Itadori passed by him, he tried to call out to him. However, before he could say anything, a shiver ran down his body, and the words died in his throat. Cold sweat enveloped him, and he was left paralyzed, only able to watch him move away.

He could only move when Yuuji Itadori had left. Nervously, he approached the two boys he had been talking to before the boy had left.

"Where did he go!?" he asked, failing to hide his panic. The girl frowned slightly and, after exchanging a quick look with her companion, answered.

"Who? Yuuji?" she demanded, suspiciously glaring at him. Megumi urgently nodded and looked at her impatiently.

"And who are you? How do you know him?"

"He's an old friend of mine," the lie flowed easily from Megumi's lips. "But we lost touch several years ago."

That seemed to satisfy the girl, as she smiled a little. "He went to Sugisawa Hospital to see..." Before Setsuko could finish her sentence, Megumi ran off, leaving her with her mouth half-open.

Yuuji was sitting in the waiting room. He stared ahead, completely distracted. He had arrived at the hospital over half an hour ago. But he hadn't been allowed to see his grandfather, and he couldn't stop watching nurses and doctors going in and out of the room where his grandfather was. When he saw one coming out, he couldn't help it; he shot up and blocked their path.

"What's wrong with my grandfather!?"

Taken aback by the boy's outburst, the doctor, a man with gray hair and green eyes, took a moment to respond. "We've managed to stabilize him, but…"

"But what!?" Yuuji was about to grab the doctor's white coat, but at the last moment, he managed to restrain himself. "C-Can I go in and see him?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper.

The doctor's eyes filled with pity and compassion. He excused himself for a moment and went back into the room. He emerged seconds later and indicated for Yuuji to go in. He closed the door behind the boy, leaving him alone with his grandfather.

Yuuji, who had been fearing the worst, stood still as he looked at his grandfather. The elderly man looked much more frail than he had that morning. And he was breathing with obvious difficulty. Summoning courage he was far from feeling, Yuuji approached him slowly.

"Grandpa?" he asked, faltering.

The old man turned his head with effort and looked at him. "Sit down, Yuuji. I'd like to talk to you for a bit." The boy obeyed immediately and looked at him nervously. "You see, your parents…" Wasuke started, but he was immediately interrupted by his grandson.

"I'm not interested," he said, sharper than he intended. Surprised by this outburst, Wasuke looked at him, perplexed. "I never knew them, or have you forgotten, Grandpa?"

The old man shook his head and let out a sigh. "Right. Yuuji, you're a very strong and kind person," he began to say. "I'd like you to dedicate your life to saving others," Wasuke requested. Yuuji looked at him silently, not interrupting. "I don't want you to end up like me, dying alone."

"Grandpa, don't say things like that," Yuuji murmured, trembling. He jumped up suddenly when he realized his grandfather wasn't responding. He ran out of the room, catching the attention of the doctor he had spoken to before. "My grandfather... my grandfather..." Yuuji couldn't form any more words.

All he could do was watch as the medical professional tried unsuccessfully to revive his grandfather.

Megumi stopped in front of the hospital, almost out of breath. He had covered the entire distance running and had been forced to stop to catch his breath. He bent over slightly, placing both hands on his knees as he gasped for air.

When he felt a bit better, he straightened up and wiped the sweat from his forehead. He entered the building and couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief upon seeing Yuuji Itadori at the reception desk. He was reading and signing some documents, as Megumi observed as he approached.

"You're Yuuji Itadori, right?" he asked, catching the attention of the pink-haired boy.

"Yeah, and who are you?" Yuuji wanted to know, handing the signed papers to the brown-haired woman at the counter.

"Megumi Fushiguro," he introduced himself, serious. "We need to talk about something important."

Yuuji furrowed his brow and was about to refuse, but seeing how urgent Megumi seemed, he relented. "Okay, but I don't have much time."

"It's alright," Megumi said as he walked towards the hospital exit, followed by Yuuji. He took out his phone and, when he found the photo of the cursed object and the box it was contained in, he showed it to Yuuji. "I'm looking for this, do you know where it is?"

Yuuji looked at the photo and nodded. He reached into the right pocket of his pants and pulled out the box. "This?"

Megumi noticeably paled. "Where's the cursed object that was inside!?"

Yuuji furrowed his brow and looked at him, not understanding. "The thing that was inside? My friends have it, why?"

"Where are they!?" Megumi shouted.

"At my high school," Yuuji said, becoming increasingly perplexed by the unfolding situation. But before he could ask further, Megumi started running in the direction of the educational center, forcing Yuuji to follow. "Can you please explain what's going on?"

Megumi glanced at him from the corner of his eye, still running. "Your friends are in danger! If we don't hurry, they'll die!"

Although that only increased the questions Yuuji wanted to ask, he decided to go with him. He would inquire about it later, once he made sure his friends were safe.

"This is a shortcut!" Megumi indicated when they reached the path leading up to the school. Yuuji nodded, and the two boys continued their frantic run.

They stopped in front of the school gate, and Yuuji couldn't help but shudder as he looked at the building. The aura emanating from it was… malevolent. As if something dreadful was inside. Unconsciously, he began to tremble.

"Stay here!" Megumi ordered him, climbing over the gate. Yuuji furrowed his brow and shook his head. "Don't be an idiot! You'll just be in the way!"

That made Yuuji come to a sudden halt, and Megumi entered the place alone. He ran into the building and focused on detecting the sources of cursed energy.

"Damn..." He could sense more than one presence circulating there, likely due to the cursed object. This meant the seal had been broken. Without wasting time, he formed the shape of a dog's head with his hands. "Divine Dog," the boy murmured. At that moment, two wolf-sized dogs emerged from Megumi's shadow. The white one howled, while the black-furred dog looked at its owner, waiting for commands. "Find and kill the curses in this building," Megumi ordered.

Yuuji looked through the bars, still unable to overcome the fear gripping his stomach. At that moment, all the fun times he had spent with his two clubmates flashed through his mind. He furrowed his brow and slapped himself.

"What the hell are you doing, Yuuji?" he scolded himself. "I can't just stand here doing nothing!" He climbed over the school fence and without second thoughts, ran towards the building. He spotted Megumi running down the hallways and realizing that entering through the front door would take too long, he prepared to jump and enter through a window.

Before he could do so, he saw Megumi abruptly stop. Trying to figure out the reason, he looked in that direction and noticed what was happening. A huge creature with grayish skin and an unpleasant humanoid appearance was trying to devour Setsuko and Takeshi.

Yuuji didn't hesitate. He ran towards the window and jumped, shattering the glass as he went in. He suppressed a wince of pain as he felt several fragments embed in his arms and legs. Taking advantage of the element of surprise, he landed a powerful punch on the monster, causing its grip on his friends to loosen due to the shock. This allowed Yuuji to free them and move them away from danger.

The dogs following Megumi didn't waste any time and launched an attack, quickly incapacitating the enemy. They started tearing it apart while Megumi approached Yuuji.

"I thought I told you to stay there. This is very dangerous," Megumi scolded.

"And leave my friends to fend for themselves?" Yuuji questioned, more focused on checking if his friends were okay. They were still unconscious, but didn't seem to be injured. He noticed the elongated object protruding from Setsuko's skirt pocket, and without thinking, he grabbed it to examine it further. However, when he realized it was a crimson-colored finger, he was almost about to drop it.

Megumi, on the other hand, let out a sigh of relief upon seeing it. "Thank goodness none of the curses ate it," he commented. He approached Yuuji, extending his left hand. "Please give it to me to keep safe."

Something moving on the ceiling distracted him, and as he looked up, he saw a grayish hand looming over Yuuji. Megumi didn't hesitate, he pushed Yuuji away from danger. But in doing so, he left himself exposed and was captured.

Yuuji, who quickly recovered, got up and watched in horror as that fish-like creature with multiple legs and eyes struck Megumi. The dogs Megumi had summoned dissipated, returning to shadows. Yuuji felt fear creeping back, but he forced himself to grit his teeth and rushed forward.

He put that strange finger he had retrieved earlier into his pocket and delivered a kick to one of the monster's eyes, temporarily blinding it. Although he managed to make it release Megumi, he couldn't defend against the monster's powerful punch. Yuuji cried out in pain as his body crashed through the wall and rolled several meters over the sandy ground of the courtyard.

His head hurt, and he felt a bit dizzy. He tried to get up, managing to do so with great effort. He could feel liquid dripping from his head, but he forced himself to ignore it.

"Fushiguro!?" he shouted, concerned. With the dust that had been kicked up, Yuuji couldn't see what was happening. However, he didn't have to wait long for an answer, as just a few minutes later, the creature threw Megumi outside. Yuuji rushed towards him and helped him to his feet. "What can we do to defeat that thing?" he asked, narrowly avoiding a punch from that fish-like creature.

"Only cursed energy can do anything!" Megumi shouted, trying to summon another creature. But before he could do so, he stumbled and lost his balance. He fell to his knees, barely able to stand. Yuuji gave him a worried look and Fushiguro shouted, "Itadori, get out of here!"

Yuuji pulled out the finger he had retrieved earlier and examined it closely. "This has cursed power, right?" Without giving Megumi a chance to respond, he swallowed it, leaving the sorcerer astonished.

Megumi watched in terror as marks appeared on Yuuji's wrists. Two thick lines on each wrist. Yuuji's nails lengthened, almost resembling claws. Two smaller lines appeared beneath his eyes, and tattoo-like lines ran across his face from under his eyes to his chin. There was another tattoo on the bridge of his nose.

His eyes, which had been closed until then, opened, and Megumi took several steps back as he saw that they were blood-red. At that moment, the entity began to laugh maniacally, intensifying Megumi's fear.

"At last!" the entity exclaimed, looking towards the city. It licked its lips, clearly excited. "I'm finally back!" As it said this, it tore apart the top part of its uniform, revealing tattoos similar to those on its face on its neck, shoulders, chest, and stomach. "How good it feels to have the light on my skin again! I had forgotten."

Megumi swallowed hard and tried to summon Nue, another one of his shikigamis. But his hands were shaking too much, and he couldn't do it properly.

"Who are you?" he heard Yuuji ask at that moment. Megumi immediately raised his head, confused.

The markings had disappeared from the left side of Yuuji's body. The eye on that side had returned to its amber color, and the extra eye had closed.

"How is this possible?" asked the curse that inhabited Yuuji's body. Its deeper voice, different from Yuuji's, revealed its confusion.

"It's my body. Leave," demanded Yuuji firmly.

Megumi, unsure of how to proceed, witnessed this battle of wills. He didn't even allow himself to relax when the tattoos completely vanished from Yuuji's body, and his right eye regained its original amber color.

"Umm... Fushiguro, I think we should go to the hospital," Yuuji murmured, turning and noticing Megumi's injuries. He made a move to approach, but stopped when he saw the wary look he was given.

"Stay right there!" Megumi shouted.

"It seems like he doesn't trust you, kid," a voice that wasn't Yuuji's echoed in Yuuji's mind.

He frowned, irritated. But before he could respond, another man arrived. He was dressed in black from head to toe, with his eyes covered by a band of the same color. His hair, as white as snow, stood on end. Yuuji instinctively took a step back. There was something about the newcomer that screamed danger, and Yuuji was starting to feel uneasy.

"Everything okay here, Megumi?" the man asked, looking around. He whistled when he saw the wreckage. "Looks like you had some fun, huh? You've got a Special Grade cursed object."

"He ate it," Megumi said, pointing at Yuuji. The man focused his attention on Yuuji and advanced towards him, examining him with his gaze, or so Yuuji thought.

"Interesting..." the man commented. "Seems like Sukuna is cohabiting inside you. How curious."

"Sukuna?" Yuuji asked, not understanding anything.

"Don't tell me you ate one of my fingers without even knowing who I am," the curse exclaimed irritably.

"And what if I did?" Yuuji retorted, equally annoyed.

"Sukuna is the name of the curse you ate. Do you think you can make him come out?" the man asked, capturing Yuuji's attention. After a moment of hesitation, Yuuji nodded.

"Yes, I think I can. Why?"

"Give us ten seconds. This is going to be fun."

"What is Gojo trying to do?" Megumi asked himself, unable to believe what he was hearing.

"Just having a bit of fun. I've got everything under control, so don't worry, Megumi."

"Are you sure it's a good idea?" Yuuji asked, not entirely convinced.

"Don't worry, I'm the strongest sorcerer. I'll win."

"Let me out, I'm going to teach that arrogant bastard a lesson!" Sukuna demanded mentally. Yuuji furrowed his brow and didn't respond. He sighed and did it, giving in to the curse's control.

Sukuna wasted no time and lunged at Gojo. Only to be humiliated in the worst way possible as his opponent casually sat on top of him. The King of Curses, offended, tried to jab one of his fingers at Gojo's face, but Gojo moved out of the way and sent him flying with a punch. The curse crashed into the nearest wall, breaking it.

"Damn sorcerers," Sukuna muttered through gritted teeth. He could also feel the human boy's consciousness observing everything that was happening. All of this only fueled his irritation.

Sukuna got up and brushed off the debris that had fallen on him. He fixed his four eyes on the sorcerer, furious.

"Eight, nine, ten," Gojo finished counting and looked expectantly at Sukuna. The curse immediately felt Yuuji beginning to regain control of his body.

"Who the hell are you, kid?" Sukuna mentally asked. He tried to take over, but Yuuji didn't allow it.

"Were you really expecting me to let you take over, especially after that performance?" Yuuji responded irritably.

"Marvelous!" Gojo exclaimed enthusiastically. "So, you can indeed control the King of Curses."

"King of Curses?" Yuuji asked, confused.

"That's the title by which Sukuna is known," Gojo clarified. "But never, in the thousand years since his birth, has there been a vessel capable of containing him."

Yuuji then fainted, and if it weren't for Gojo, he would have collapsed to the ground.

"Professor," Megumi spoke up at that moment. "If possible, I'd like you to keep Yuuji Itadori alive."

The adult looked at him with curiosity upon hearing that. But he soon burst into laughter and nodded. "I'll see what I can do."

"Brat, wake the hell up!" Sukuna shouted. Yuuji, who had been deeply asleep until that moment, grunted and slowly opened his eyes. He looked around in confusion. He was in a small room, completely covered in rectangular pieces of paper. In front of him, sitting on a chair, was Gojo, observing him with interest.

Yuuji tried to move, but it was useless. His hands were tightly tied behind his back with two thick ropes that prevented him from getting up.

"What happened?" he murmured, feeling his mouth dry.

"You're going to be executed, kid," Gojo said, without the slightest tact.

Yuuji frowned as he heard Sukuna start laughing. "They don't trust you, brat. It seems they'd rather get rid of you."

"Why?" the boy asked, looking at Gojo for an explanation.

"I tried to convince the Elder Council how important it was to keep you alive," Gojo explained. "But... since they're a bunch of backward thinkers, they insist it's better to kill you as soon as possible."

Yuuji made a displeased expression and looked incredulously at the man. "I told you so," Sukuna added, amused.

"Don't look at me like that, come on," Gojo said. "But, being the good person I am, I managed to convince them of one thing: to postpone your execution."

"In exchange for what?" Yuuji asked, suspicious.

"In exchange for you collecting Sukuna's twenty fingers," Gojo explained, smiling a little. "So, kid, you have two options. Either you're executed now, or you accept to search for and consume Sukuna's fingers, and you'll be killed when you gather them all.

"Neither option sounds tempting at all…"

His indecision must have shown in his gaze, as Gojo continued speaking. "This way, we'd make sure to also end Sukuna. So don't think this is personal."

"So, what's your decision, brat?" Sukuna asked, interested.

"I accept," Yuuji said. "I'll gather the twenty fingers, but... how is it possible for him to have twenty? From the hands and the feet, right?"

"Sukuna is a being with four arms and two faces," Gojo revealed. He got up and pulled something from his pocket, then showed it to him. "We currently have six stored," he explained, and without warning, with a burst of energy, he sent the finger against the wall to his right. "The problem is, as you can see, that they can't be destroyed."

"And that's where I come in," Yuuji deduced.

"That's right," Gojo said, nodding. "Even so, I recommend you think about it carefully tonight, and tomorrow morning let me know what you've decided."

Yuuji stared at the ceiling of his room. He didn't know what time it was, but sleep wouldn't come to him at all. Although, after everything that had happened to him hours earlier, it was quite natural.

"So, you're the king of curses," he murmured mentally, attempting to start a conversation with Sukuna.

"Leave me alone, brat."

"I just wanted to talk a bit," the boy said defensively.

"Well, I have no intention of wasting my time."

"What do you think we should do?" Yuuji persisted, ignoring Sukuna's words. Sukuna suppressed a growl at that. Perhaps if he gave the kid what he wanted, he would leave him alone. Besides, he didn't want to die so soon. Not when he hadn't enjoyed himself enough yet.

"It depends on you, idiot. Do you want to die tomorrow or in the future?"

Yuuji didn't hesitate too much. "In the future, of course."

"Well, then you know, brat. Now, leave me alone."

Yuuji let out a sigh and refrained from making further comments. He turned over in bed to lie on his side and checked his alarm clock. It was already three in the morning.

"See you tomorrow," the boy said, closing his eyes.

Sukuna didn't say anything else, but Yuuji didn't attach any importance to that.
