Todoroki-kun to Koi no Yamai

UA Class 1A was, for the most part, filled with astute and precocious fledging heroes and heroines. Despite their youth and inexperience, there were quite a few brainy students—ones that were considered intelligent, observant, or both. There was the studious Izuku Midoriya who took thorough notes on all heroes, including the would-be ones that he encountered during his school life. There was the ever-gifted Momo Yaoyozoru. There was the surprisingly brainy Katsuki Bakugou and many more.

Despite the number of gifted students in this classroom, no one took note of Kagome Higurashi's secret—that was, until it was unceremoniously unveiled to the public.

It was an innocuous Wednesday for Class 1A.

When Aizawa began their lessons that morning, everything seemed business as usual.

-that was until a familiar, boisterous knock came at their door.

All Might's presence sparked the usual intrigue and wide, starry-eyed gazes as he paraded himself to the front of their room. Behind him trailed a handful of grade-school-aged children. Kagome and Momo exchanged pleasant smiles when All Might informed the high schoolers that he and other select UA staff were giving promising grade schoolers tours of UA.

While most of the younger children looked unassuming, one of them stood out amongst the rest. There was a small girl with alabaster skin, ashen hair, immaculate white clothing, and dark voids for eyes.

As usual, Izuku leaned forward in his seat, his eyes glinting with interest, and pen ready as All Might laughed before looking down at the children, "Which one of you want to showcase the quirks of the future?"

Contrary to her indifferent expression, the snowy-haired girl stepped forward, "I'll go..." Her voice was as soft as a snowflake. "Kanna," she stated before bowing politely. After righting her position, she informed her seniors, "My quirk is Revelation."

Kagome, Izuku, and other of the brighter students noticed the sole bead of sweat that rolled down All Might's forehead, despite the way his grin stayed wide and toothy. "I see..." His tone was as uneasy as his voice was baritone, "Well, we'll need a volunteer."

Kagome could tell that this was something that she wanted no part of but before she could sink behind a textbook, All Might's eyes caught hers. "How about you, Higurashi?"

'No good!' Her inner voice screamed as Kagome lifted a strained smile. "Erm..." In the couple of months that she had been attending UA, she had already developed a reputation that she was proud of. "Sure..." She couldn't allow it to be tarnished by apprehension of a grade schooler's quirk. With that, her knees pushed her chair back as she stood.

"Wonderful..." Kanna's face nor voice reflected the emotion associated with her words. "Now, just stare into my eyes."

'Oh...' Kagome maintained her smile while she shared a bead of sweat with All Might. 'Great.'

[...staaaaaaaaaare]

Kagome gasped as she sensed something pulse within her.

'No...' Her eyes widened when she realized all eyes and ears were tuned in on her.

Not just the teachers...not just her fellow students...not just her friends... but—.

'Don't say it...!' Kagome's inner voice screamed out to her mouth that opened against her will.

"Do it..." Kanna's soft voice urged without audible force. "Revelation."

Kagome's heart was off to the races as her lower lip trembled.

She wanted to resist, but this girl—

—this grade schooler's quirk and her mastery of it was exceptional.

She couldn't fight it any longer.

Kagome's hands curled into fists as her arms were held straight at her sides. Her eyes shut as her mouth opened and cried out, "My greatest secret is how much I want to hold Todoroki-kun!"

"Eh?" / "Huh?" / "Hah?!" / "Hn?" / "Ehhhhhhhhhhh?!

"Eh..." Kagome's smile was devoid of emotion as she felt her world sinking in on itself. 'Damn it...'
