Daughter of Black

1.

Elizabeth Renee Black stood in front of the bathroom mirror looking over her reflection. A small, grimy girl with straight black hair and silver-grey eyes stared back at her. She heard a quiet knock on the door, her brother in all but name was on the other side. "Uncle Vernon says it's time to make breakfast for Dudley." He said through the thin door. Elizabeth sighed and went to do her many chores.

Sirius Black sat in his cell in Azkaban. There were two things on his mind, His daughter Lizzy, and his godson Harry. He wondered where they were, and if they were happy. He was so consumed with his thoughts, that he didn't notice the light coming into his cell from under the cast iron door.

While Lizzy worked inside the nice, air-conditioned house, Harry was forced to do labor outside in the hot sun. The seven-year-old was currently weeding the garden, his normally pale skin turning red from the sun. His face was dripping sweat and his glasses were sliding from his nose. Pushing his glasses up his nose once more, Harry didn't notice Dudley aiming a kick at Harry's already cracked ribs.

"Well done son, you'll be a wonderful football star!" Yelled Uncle Vernon from the front stoop. This was a normal occurrence at number four Privet Drive. Harry knew that he'd be getting a much worse beating later for whining in pain.

Sirius was escorted out of his cell and led to a windowless room. In the room stood his best friend Remus, and his old Headmaster Albus Dumbledore. "Sorry I didn't dress for the occasion, but I didn't know you would be stopping by." He quipped, his voice scratchy and painful from dis-use. Remus' face was caught between a half smile, and a grimace at his friend's voice.

Dumbledore walked over and grabbed Sirius' hands. "How are you, my boy?" The old man asked, sadly. Sirius cracked a smile. "I've been better." Sirius said sarcastically. Remus snorted. "It's good to see you haven't lost your sense of humor." Said Dumbledore, a bit of a smile gracing his lips. "Not that I'm not happy to see you, because I am, but… What are you doing here?" Sirius asked, sounding genuinely curious.

Harry James Potter and Elizabeth Ray Black laid in their respective cupboards, silently crying. Uncle Vernon had beaten Harry practically to a pulp and when she tried to help her brother, she was beaten as well. She rolled over on the dog bed that she had been given and stiffened up when she rolled over a very large, purple bruise on her ribcage. Closing her eyes, she made a desperate wish.

"I wish Harry and I could leave this place and never look back." She spoke in a whisper so as not to wake the Dursleys.

"Sirius Black, With the power of the wizzamagot backing me, I Cornelius Fudge do so grant you your freedom. You're to receive 1,000000 Galleons for each year you were imprisoned.

Sirius grinned. He was finally free, and the rat was to be given the dementors kiss. "Mr. Black!" yelled a reporter. As soon as he left the Ministry of Magic. Turning toward the pretty brunette reporter, he gave her his most charming grin, only to receive a grimace at his appearance. "Mr. Black, now that you are free, what is the first thing you are going to do?" She asked…

Elizabeth was in the kitchen cooking supper for the Dursleys when the doorbell rang. "BOY, ANSWER THE DOOR!" Yelled Uncle Vernon from his lazy boy chair, too fat and lazy to do it him self.

When Harry opened the door, he was greeted by what he could only deduce were actors. He was wearing robes that looked like they were made for a monk.

The other man was taller than the first. He had long, black hair, tied back in a silk ribbon. He was wearing a leather jacket, and boot cut jeans. Harry gasped when he noticed the man's eyes. They were the exact same as Lizzy's.

"Oh, for fuck's sake, close the door." Aunt Petunia said, acidly, "Hello Tuney." Sirius said, putting his foot out so she couldn't close the door. All the color left Petunia's face, and she let out an audible gasp as she looked in the face of the younger man. "YOU!" she said with a growl as venom dripped from her voice.

"Yes, it's me. We're here to take Harry and Lizzy." Said the man.
