Harry Potter learned how to not be seen from a young age. He learned how to steal. How to eavesdrop. How to survive alone. He was nothing and would never be anything. He was trapped. Alone. In the dark.
Ronald Weasley learned not to expect attention from a young age. The second youngest of seven. Great things were expected of him but it didn't matter. His siblings have already achieved everything first. He was ignored. Overlooked. Overshadowed.
Hermione Granger learned to horde knowledge from a young age. Knowledge was power. Knowledge put her in an advantage over her peers. She was smarter then them and they hated her for it. It didn't matter. One day she would rule them.
Harry Potter was special. He was a wizard. He had power over his neglectful family. Harry Potter has a chance. A chance to build his own life. A chance to be seen. A chance to be free.
Ronald Weasley was nothing special. Just another child to give hand-me-downs. He was given Charlie's old robes, the twins' old books, and Percy's old rat.
Hermione Granger was given more knowledge. A whole new world of it. She had more power. A whole other world waiting for her to rule. She would be the best. Even if she had to break a few rules to get there.
Harry had money. His parents meant for him to have it. He had a chance to be free. He could do anything without expecting punishment. He could have something that was truly his.
Ronald had nothing that was truly his. Everything he owned was someone else's. He would forever be in his family's shadow with no way out.
Hermione looked at the books in the shop. So much knowledge. She once again thanked whoever was listening that her family were not poor, and that they encouraged her thirst for learning. She was allowed to have as many books as she desired. As much knowledge as she wanted. It still wasn't enough.
Harry Potter sat alone on the train. This train would take him to the place he could be free. The place he could build a life for himself. He was not ignorant to the truth. He was famous. His life was already planned by the man who left him to be abused. He was interrupted by a boy with red hair and dark shadowed eyes. Eyes that reminded him of the ones he sees in the mirror.
Ronald Weasley looked at the boy sitting across from him. Harry Potter. Yes Potter could help him. He could be free of his family. He could be known for something. Harry Potter could help him. The door slid open to a girl with bushy hair and hungry eyes. She could help him too.
Hermione stared at the two boys seated in the compartment. The dark one had scars and the red one had shadows in his eyes. They looked back. She saw no distain when she she kept talking. She couldn't help it. She saw only intrigue and calculating shadowed eyes.
The three children regarded each other with guarded minds. They could help each other or destroy each other. They locked eyes and agreed silently, but for all to hear. Their fate was sealed.
The hat saw into the mind of the young Potter. He had scars, both inside and outside. He was abused. Abandoned. Used. Forgotten. He wanted to be great. To be admired. To be free. Yes. He is a Slytherin.
The young Weasley was a shock. The hat almost put him in Gryffindor just because of his name. But no. This one is different. He too wanted to be free. To be free of his family's shadow. Yes Slytherin was the place for him. The hat watched Ronald Weasley walk to the table adorned in green, ignoring the shocked and panicked expressions of his brothers. He will do well there.
The hat had never sorted a Muggleborn into Slytherin. It was unheard of. But Hermione Granger was full of ambition. She would do well in Ravenclaw with her immense hunger for knowledge. No. She belongs in Slytherin. There is not doubt.
The trio sat next to each other at the table. They locked eyes once more. A slight nod. That is all it takes to seal their fate. You see, the headmaster may have planned the life of Harry Potter, the savior of the wizarding world. But Harry Potter was not a pawn.
Harry Potter grew used to eyes following him. Everyone seemed to think he was in the wrong house. They were quickly corrected.
Ronald Weasley was expecting the howler from his mom. He didn't care. His older twin brothers expressed their support. They were his family. They would not keep him under their shadow.
Hermione was a Muggleborn. A Mudblood. She didn't belong in Slytherin. There's no way. They were wrong. She belonged there more than any Malfoy.
Harry excelled at Defense Against the Dark Arts. Of course he did. He understood what he was up against. He was Harry Potter, the restricted section was his for the taking. The dark magic was his for the taking. No one else wanted it.
Hermione dwelled in the library. Research everything. Learn everything. Give Harry and Ronald the answers they seek and help them understand. Hermoine was the best at potions. there was so many possibilities. Luck, fame, life, death. All able to brew whenever she needed.
Ronald was unsure. He didn't know what he wanted except to be free of his family's shadow. He wanted to learn what his family left behind. He dived into the dark. His family abandoned it for the light.
Professor Quirrell noticed the insane light in Harry Potter's eyes. The needy hunger for knowledge in Hermione Granger's eyes. The madness in Ronald Weasley's eyes. The later two had attached themselves to the first. They were not what he expected. They were smarter. More powerful. Quirrell defied his master. He tried to remove his master. He was found dead in the third floor corridor.
The trio found the sorcerer stone. They kept it. It would help them in the future.
The chamber of secrets has been opened.
Harry didn't care. He was not directly effected. Ronald did not care. He was of pure blood. Hermione did not care. She was more dangerous.
Harry practiced dark magic for fun. He loved the power it gave him. He could be anything. He looked at the light. At the people who abandoned him. And dived into the dark. Harry was not what people expected. No. He was much worse.
No one outside of Slytherin payed attention to Ronald. That was a mistake. Ronald practiced forbidden magic. Dark rituals. Rituals that require blood. He preformed his first ritual and it took his breath away. He reveled in the power. He wondered how his family could abandon this happiness in favor of the flickering light.
Teachers loved clever Hermione. She always knew the answer. But they didn't know that she knew everything she shouldn't. The young potions master watched her. Her mind was full of deadly recipes and even deadlier knowledge. He saw the way she hungered for more. The way she improved on her potions. On the recipes he had already improved. Students quickly learn to be quiet. Do not badmouth the halfbloods or the Muggleborns. Hermione knew the forbidden poisons. Hermione knew how to avoid being caught.
Lockhart died drinking poison. *
The basilisk made a mistake when it brought Ginny Weasley into the chamber of secrets. It was killed with a long forgotten blood ritual. Blood Ronald was glad to take. Tom Riddle's diary was destroyed with the fang, harvested by Hermione. It would be useful in the future.
Remus Lupin looked at Harry Potter. He was not what he expected. Harry's eyes never missed a single detail. Remus watched Harry's friends. Ronald could read people like a book. He didn't need words to talk. Hermione was hungry. She soaked up all the knowledge she could. He had nothing to teach her. She knew more than he did.
Harry heard of Sirius Black. He betrayed his family. He was a murderer. Harry smiled. Would he kill his aunt and uncle too?
Hermione watched Remus Lupin. He was hiding something. He had secrets. He was watching Harry like a hawk. No that just won't do.
Ronald watched his rat. Hermione's cat hated it. Why? The rat was different this year. Skittish. Frightened. He kept running away. Why didn't he like the new professor?
The trio went down to the Chamber of Secrets. It was big enough to accommodate all three of their needs. It became their primary headquarters.
Harry Potter did research on his parents. Remus Lupin and Sirius Black were his parents best friends. Time to ask the professor some questions.
Hermione made her conclusion. Lupin was a werewolf. He was hiding a dangerous secret. He was the friend of Harry's father. Along with Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew.
Ron preformed a ritual. This one forced his rat to reveal any secrets. His rat was a man. A traitor.
Remus Lupin found the trio huddled around the body of Peter Pettigrew together with Sirius Black. The truth was revealed. Sirius was innocent.
Harry Potter did not want to be in the tournament. He did not have a choice. His friends helped him succeed. They would not let him down.
Cedric Diggory watched the Potter boy. Something was off with him. The other champions agreed. But what? No one knew.
Harry was livid. He had watched the cruelty the dragons were subjected to. He had experienced abuse in a similar manner. He would not allow it to continue. He leaned his parseltongue was applicable to the dragon. He set it free.
Barty Crouch Jr. knew the Potter boy was different. Almost feral. He harnessed the dragons trust. Just what was his lord up against.
The trio went together to the Yule ball. They were the show of the party.
Harry retrieved Hermione from the lake. He was angry. Hermione could have died. She would have that scar on her leg for life. The grinddylow would have gotten her if Harry had not hit it with the killing curse.
Harry was transported to the graveyard. Diggory was killed. Harry didn't blink. Harry's blood was used to raise Voldermort. He didn't stop them. He needed to see what will happen, Ronald would want to know.
Barty Crouch Jr. died of a heart attack. Hermione smiled as she closed her book. It was a dark book full of potions that caused reactions that would mimic natural death. The one on page 458 was particularly helpful.
Harry looked at the ball of light in his hand. He had finally done it. He learned windless magic. He sent a spell at a vase in his room.
"Confringo!"
It shattered. He smiled.
"Boy! Get down here!"
"Yes Uncle Vernon?"
"Dudley drooped that glass, clean it up!"
"Reparo. Scourgify." He picked up the repaired glass and set in in the sink with a smile.
Vernon Dursley paled. *
The trio agree on most things. But this one was unanimous. The pink toad had to go.
Harry got detention just for defending himself. The scar in his hand was intriguing. Ronald would have to experiment. Hermione researched as always, only deeper into the dark arts.
The students took matters into their own hands. If the toad was not going to teach them, Harry would. Her taught them the dark spells. How to preform black magic. Ronald loved it. The power the dark magic held. He lived for it. Hermione brewed poisons. Unknown poisons with the help of basilisk venom and the elixir of life.
Voldemort was in Harry's head. He lured them to the ministry of magic. Sirius Black fell through the veil. Harry hit Bellatrix with a cruciatus curse. It drove her insane. She cannot think.
Umbridge disappeared. An Auror took her place while an investigation ensured. The Aurors that found the body of the late inquisitor vomited. The trio smiled, Ronald did a good job.
Hermione researched Harry's connection with Voldemort. With the help of books purchased from Knockturn Ally she found out about horcruxes.
Ronald researched the ritual used to resurrect the dark lord. Flesh of the servant... bone of the father... blood of the enemy... ah ha.
Harry found out he had a piece of Voldemort's soul in his head. The only way to get rid of it was to die. but Ronald told him Voldermort used his blood to come back. He cannot die.
Hermione killed Harry without a second thought. Harry came back. The horcrux was gone.
Ronald questioned Dumbledore. Manipulated him into telling his secrets. Beat him at his own game. Voldermort created seven horcruxes and Ronald knew where to find them.
For the first time in five years Hermione skipped class. She helped her boys find the five remaining horcruxes.
The locket was given by Kreacher when they promised to destroy it. Ronald knew the perfect ritual.
The cup was taken from the vault. The goblins never knew Harry was there. Hermione thought she had some basilisk venom in her possession.
The ring was in Dumbledore's desk. Harry found the sword in the hat.
The diadem was in the room of requirement. The venom was put to good use once again.
Voldemort had become weaker. *
Harry walked into the boys bathroom to find Draco Malfoy crying. Malfoy fired a spell at him in embarrassment. Harry blocked it and calmly walked up to him. Harry gently took Draco's arm in his hands, lifted his sleeve to reveal the mark. Draco lowered his head in shame. But Harry did not act rashly. Harry took Draco's hand and lead him to the Chamber.
Draco stared at the trio on shock. He had told them everything. He told them of his mission. They offered to help. He accepted.
Harry had fun teaching Draco Malfoy the forbidden curses. Hermione reveled in her knowledge of poisons with his knowledge of potions. Draco learned that blood purity has nothing to do with anything. Ronald taught him the joys of bloodshed. Draco learned his father was wrong to overlook this Weasley. The trio earn the loyalty of a Malfoy.
Draco Malfoy had no more problems with his mission. He killed Albus Dumbledore with a spell long forgotten. He was not caught. He saved his family.
Death Eaters invade the school. Draco Malfoy is among them. He is a spy.
The trio did not go the school. They hid in the forbidden forest for months. Gleaning information from Draco Malfoy. Planning.
Harry Potter entered the school. He gathered those willing to fight. Finnigan is a pyromaniac. Longbottom is good with a sword. Lovegood has old magic. Ginny Weasley has a taste for revenge. Voldemort never stood a chance.
Nigini hadn't seen Neville Longbottom. He weirder the sword like an extension of his arm.
Voldemort rose and did not face an old man with a group of good-doers.
Voldemort rose and faced a witch with a brilliant mind and no taste for mercy, a wizard who delighted in bloodshed and manipulated people like chess pieces, and the boy drenched in blood and dark arts who had won their loyalty.
No. Voldemort had no chance. *
Harry Potter taught the new generations. He was known as the first Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor to stay more then a year in a century. He taught the kids how to protect themselves with dark magic.
Ronald dived deeper into his rituals. He worked to find useful ones for the ministry to use. They were no longer illegal. They were seen for their uses and helpfulness. Rituals are much stronger then spells.
Hermione fulfilled her dream. She was Minister. She ruled the British wizards. It was not enough. She would continue rising to power until she ruled the world.
