Episode 1:

The New Era Part 1

Night time.

It is dusk, the camera pans from the lake to the inner harbor of Angel Grove. A group of unknown beings pop out and mess around in the harbor. They are Grunts in Black Tuxedo tights with lipped but otherwise blank black and white faces.

NOTE: Yes, these are the Footsoldiers from Gosei Sentai Dairanger. They will be named when we get to meet our villains.

The beings mess around and destroy a few things in the harbor. They take out their machine guns and fire all over the place. One of the Footsoldiers is shot, by a laser beam. They all look over to see a Figure dressed in yellow, with a tiger on her helmet. Her name is Minh Kwan, the Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger. She stares down at the Footsoldiers, they look at Minh with a confused look on their face. The Yellow Ranger draws her blade blaster. She speaks to the Footsoldiers "Looks like someone picked the wrong place to mess with". Minh fires her blade blaster at the beings. She then switches her blade blaster from gun mode to blade mode. The foot soldiers charge drawing out their swords. Minh slices and dices the beings. Ten of the remaining being take out their bo staffs, and swing at Minh. Minh is hit by one but dodges the next swing. She takes out her power daggers and whacks the beings, taking them down one by one. As she strikes the last of the Footsoldiers, it falls down causing an explosion. One by one the explode by Minhs defeat. Minh takes down the foot soldiers in the inner harbor. She then contacts Billy. "Uncle Billy, there's some at the harbor. They've been appearing everywhere in Angel Grove." Billy, back at the command center responds to Minh, "Copy that Minh, teleport back immediately". "Right" says Minh. Minh teleports back to the command center.

Cranston Tech - Command Center

The camera pans around the outside of Cranston Tech Industries. Camera cuts to the inside of the building. Minh teleports to the command center. She demorphs after teleporting inside. Billy is confused about these beings, not knowing where they are coming from. He speaks to Minh with a confused look on his face "The appearances of these mysterious beings are confusing to me." "I can't seem to find where they are coming from?" Alpha comes out of the sliding doors, he is also confused, "Ai yai yai" these beings are appearing out of nowhere!" "These scanners aren't reading on any of these things" Alpha 9 says this while running around the command center. Minh reads the scanners to find more of these beings. She checks the viewing screen. "There hasn't been any appearances so far." Minh turns to Billy who continues to look around using the scanners. Zack teleports into the command center "man, these things won't stop coming." Zack sits down in a chair, he speaks with exhaustion "Billy, this is getting very irritating!" Zack feels exhausted after fighting these mysterious beings. "Uncle Zack, this has been getting very problematic," says Minh with concern. "You shouldn't have walked out on that meeting". Zack looks at Minh, "You know saving the world is a thing for me. I gotta do what it takes to protect angel grove." Billy also feels concerned about his life in Cranston Tech. "I had to walk out of a perfect deal too. McDaniel Tech just bought out Up Music.'' Zack raises up from his chair, he is upset with what Billy just said. "You're saying McDainel Tech bought out another Music Industry?" Billy nods at what Zack said. Zack feels down about the whole thing, he says "Man, McDaniel Tech keeps buying out these industries and fires the owners from them. At least with you, you let them keep their jobs." Minh is concerned with Billy and Zack. She is glad to be a Power Ranger and raised by two of them while taking her Mothers ranger powers. But she is also concerned with both of them. Billy and Zack have important things going on with their lives. They also gotta make a living for themselves. Minh is only in high school still deciding on what to do with her life. She thinks about her ranger life. "Maybe I should take on the ranger duties on my own" Minh says with a semi confident look on her face. Zack looks at her with a puzzled look on his face. "You mean, do this on your own? Solo?" says Zack with a confused look on his face. "Yes" says Minh while nodding. Zack tells her why this isn't a good idea "No, you can't do this. You have school, ranger duties, and a teenage life." "You can't do this on your own!" Zack says this while looking at Minh. Minh looks at Zack feeling frustrated "I already lost my mom, I can't lose you and Uncle Billy!" Billy commands Minh "Look Minh, I can't let you do this on your own!" Minh looks at Billy "You let Tommy go out and do things on his own." "And I don't even know much of him". Zack settles Minh down he says: "Tommy is different, he's been through more than we have. Same with Jason and Kimberly". Minh, feeling upset that she isn't able to handle things on her own, teleports out of the command center. She heads back home.

Minhs House - Minhs bedroom

Minh lies down on her bed, she stares at her Moms picture. She thinks about how great of a woman she was. Trini raised Minh on her own as a single mother while working and doing her ranger duties. Minh never expected her mother to become a power ranger or being raised by power rangers without even knowing that her close friends were rangers. Minh wonders how she can do her duties on her own without Billy or Zack getting on her case. There is a knock on her bedroom door. Zack stands there talking to the door. The door is shut, he tries to turn the handle but the door is locked. "Minh, I'm sorry about earlier, I just don't want you to get hurt." Zack presses his ear to the door, he makes sure there is at least someone inside of the bedroom. He hears a slight breathing, it is Minhs breathing. She is gazing at the picture of her mom. "Let's sleep this off, we're all exhausted." Zack takes his ear off of the door, he faces the door knowing that he is talking to Minh. "Billy will double check the scanners, he doesn't know anything yet, he'll update them to find out where these things are coming from." Zack then turns around and walks away, he turns back and faces Minhs bedroom door. "You got school coming up, just worry about that." Zack says this with a calming smile. Zack gets positive with Minh "We'll get those beings no matter what" Zack gets excited "We're the Power Rangers!" Minh responds back to Zack "Goodnight Uncle Zack. We'll find those beings". Zack smiles at Minh, he remembers meeting her like it was yesterday. He heads over to his bedroom.

Morning

Angel Grove High School - Hallway

Students walk into the school feeling sad that summer is over, but proud to see their friends in school. Austin hangs up fliers on the wall. Austin is wearing a red t-shirt with blue jeans and red sneakers. The fliers say: Class meeting in the Gym. Don't be late!" He stands there with a smile, he's proud to be repeating as Class Vice President again. He sees Minh walking down the hallway, she smiles at Austin.

Austin comes over to Minh, he gives her a big hug. "Good Morning Class President!" he lets go of Minh after their hug. "And how was your summer!" asks Austin. Minh thinks of something to say, she doesn't want to tell Austin or anyone about her ranger duties. She lies about her summer. "Oh, the usual. Busy!" Minh says with a small laugh. Austin is confused about Minh "you said you were free a couple of times, but then you back out in the last minute." Austin says this feeling confused "What's up with that?". Minh puts her head down for a bit, she says "Uncle Zack wanted me to work with him on his projects." Austin tilts his head for a bit, he says "projects? You said Billy needed you to come help with him on a few things in his building?" Minh thinks for a moment "yes, him and Billy are working on something together." Austin replies "You should've gotten William to help. He's really good with tech!" Minh thinks for a bit and says "William would never understand what we are doing". Minh heads over to her computer tech class. Austin stands there wondering what is going on with Minh. William comes to Austin, he wonders what is up with him.

William is wearing a blue t-shirt with black slacks. He asks Austin "did I just see Minh walk into the computer classroom?". Austin replies "yes you did." William says "Minh has been acting strange since her mom passed away. It's like she's a whole different person?" Austin pats William on shoulder "yes, yes she has." he looks at the classroom door "Minh has been isolating herself for a year and now she's into tech?" Austin looks at the room where Minh is sitting. "This is not the Minh I know…" says Austin.

A group of cheerleaders burst into the hallway, they show their school spirit yelling "Go Grove!" They are all dressed up in their purple and gold uniforms. Austin looks at the head cheerleader with pink bows in her hair. The head cheerleader is named Beverly. Beverly looks at Austin, she walks over to him and William. Beverly says with a pep "You guys going to the game tonight? It'll be a big one!". Austin nods "We'll be there". William intervenes "not me, I got a computer project to work on." Beverly looks at Minh working on the computer; she then looks back at Austin "just don't bring her to the game". Austin defends Minh "She's been going through a lot, cut her some slack". Beverly rolls her eyes "Minh is such a freak! You think you're still friends with her?" Austin gives Beverly the evil eye "Minh is a great girl, she maybe different, but she's still the same as I know her!" Beverly plays with her braided hair after hearing what Austin said. "Whatever, she's still weird" Beverly walks away as she says this. Austin and William walk over to their first period class.

William speaks to Austin, "Don't you think that was a bit harsh? I know you and Beverly have had issues-" Austin cuts William off "we don't talk about that." William talks to Austin about her "You gotta let that go, she moved on". Austin speed walks away from William, he doesn't want to think about Beverly.

Angel Grove High School - Cafeteria

Minh is sitting at her table eating her chicken nuggets, she listens to music. While sitting down and thinking about her computer class, a guy with a black leather coat and semi long wavy black hair walks into the cafeteria. He walks over to Minh who is trying to concentrate on her work. She takes out her earbuds and looks at the guy. "What do you want Sav?" Minh asks this with an annoyed look on her face. Sav looks at Minh with a cute look on his face, the kind of look that makes girls fall for him. Sav says, "Hey girl, how about you and me go out for a movie date?". Minh looks at Sav with a look of annoyance "Don't you have any other girl you can ask out?" Sav smirks at Minh, "Feisty, I like it!" he kneels to her "so how bout it?" Minh puts her earbuds back in her ears. Sav smiles at her "thinking about it, I like it!" Sav turns around and leaves the table, he then goes over to another girl who is sitting at her table. Sav says to the girl with that same cute look on his face "Yo Gabby, wanna hangout by the field?" Sav winks at her after he says this. Gabby grabs on to Savs hand, he escorts her to the Football field. Minh looks at Sav, she takes out her earbuds and says out loud "Sav really needs to get a life". Austin comes over, he sets his lunch down next to Minh. "You ready to present at our sophomore meeting?" asks Austin. Minh realizes that she forgot to write a speech over the summer, she facepalms. "No, I forgot!" Minh freaks about it. Austin says to her "You said you were gonna write it before school started, you're the class president!". Minh puts her head down feeling stupid about herself. "I know, I meant too, but things got busy". Austin replies "doing what? You say you were free but then something comes up!" Austin yells at Minh "what is it that is so important?". All of a sudden, the Footsoldiers pop into the cafeteria, the students run and panic. Minh runs off and hides in the janitor's closet. She morphs and teleports from the closet to the cafeteria. The Yellow Ranger appears, the Footsoldiers look at Minh; they begin to ambush her. Minh doesn't hesitate and takes out her power daggers, she takes out each and every one of them. After the footsoldiers disappear, she contacts Billy. "Uncle Billy, they have appeared in the school." Billy, back at the command center, fully updates the scanners and reads the footsoldiers for a bit. Billy reads the scanners for a bit, but the readings of the footsoldiers disappear "I finally got the scanners updated, but I can only find them for a little bit. It seems that they have appeared from the beach and the school". Minh, still in her yellow ranger uniform, freaks a bit on the scanners not reading them. "What, that quick?!" asked Minh. "Precisely, these things manage to stay out of our scanners" said Billy. "It's like they want to be out of our site." Minh realizes what is going on "like that they want to disappear from our scanners…." Minh stares at the empty cafeteria floor where those mysterious footsoldiers were lying down. Minh tells Billy, "If we can get a DNA off of them, then we can put these things into our scanners with a huge trace!" Billy is astonished, he didn't think about it until now "of course, our scanners do not pick up their reading, but if we put a DNA sample in the readers then we can find out where they are coming from!". Minh smiles at what she has thought about, her hanging out with Billy has finally paid off. Minh teleports out of the school to the command center. Austin and William pop out from behind the garbage cans. They look at each other and realize that they have heard the yellow ranger.

"That voice sounded familiar," said Austin. "Not only that, but there is trouble going on with the power rangers" said William. "You're right, but what can we do?" said Austin. William gets an idea, "Cranston Tech!" "We can go get help from them" suggested William. "Wouldn't they just says no? They are a highly advanced corporation" said Austin. "We don't have a choice, we gotta help the Power Rangers!" said William. Austin and William leave the cafeteria.

Meanwhile, at the Angel Grove Bay.

A gray suited mutant takes down the Red Ranger, he disappears. The power morpher falls down, revealing a tyrannosaurus rex power coin. Rocky freaks out, he realizes that Jason has fallen. He morphs with the duplicate morpher and becomes the second red ranger.

NOTE: Yes, there are two separate red rangers. The Power Transfer did "Transfer" Jason, Trini, and Zacks power to Rocky, Aisha, and Adam. But they duplicated the power and transferred over to those three. Forever Red shows that Theory that Jason still had his Red Ranger Powers after his morpher was duplicated and transferred over to Rocky. Meaning that Rocky, Adam, and Aisha also had their Power Coins and Power Morphers, just damaged. IN Space has those evidence that the Power Morpher and Coin are Damaged due to Rito Revolto. So yes, Rocky, Adam, and Aisha can still Morph, just with a bad side effect. Rockys Morpher was damaged but repaired. But I'll save this explanation as to why his is fixed in Ninja Steel.

Rocky battles the gray suited mutant. He takes out his Power Sword while the Mutant takes out his Blade. They sword fight on the bay. The Mutant knocks down Rocky. Rocky asks "who are you? And why are you doing this?". The Mutant sets his sword down, he introduces himself. "My name is Metallic Grant. I work for the Grande Morevil. Be warned Red Ranger! You and your power freaks are next!" He disappears with a blue smog. Rocky demorphs, he picks up Jasons morpher and contacts Billy. "Billy, we got a problem here" he says this while staring at Jasons morpher.
