You may know me as the Writer of the Smash Bros Fanfic Called World of Light Deluxe (You know, A Certain World of Light Fic that features Guzma (And His Golisopod/Pinsir/Ariados) as an Extra Fighter alongside the Likes of Bandana Dee (Form Kirby) and Agumon (Form Digimon) and also that (Currently on Hiatus due to needing some Time away for anything Galarian Related) Pokemon Sword and Shield/Fire Emblem Awakening Crossover Fic called Galarian Awakening….
Welcome to the First of my Pokemon Transformation One Shots Called Metamorphosis (Basically a Series of One Shots (Though Not all of them are Separate however) that cover Pokemon Transformation and the Occasional Mermaid Transformation Fic (Still counts since it's Pokemon Characters transforming but it's only focused on Pokemon/Mermaids transformations however) as well) if you're curious about them)
These fics are mostly side projects when the Idea Strikes Every now and then…. (Basically a Plot Bunny that needs to be tamed at least) so just because they say they're complete doesn't mean it's finished, It's mostly a Fic that's updating whenever an idea strikes in….
That said, This Fic will be Purely Pokemon based so unlike Ryu the WereDragon (Whom's Transformation Fics are a Slight inspiration for this Fic), Don't expect (The ONLY NON Pokemon/Human Species you'll see in this Fic are Mermaids and that's it… No Crossover Characters Transformation for this Fic…Or Anthropomorphic Pokemon for the Time Being….)

Similarly, Just because this Fic has Ash and Serena listed as a Couple doesn't mean EVERY STORY WOULD HAVE THEM, It's simply because this First One Shot has them in the Focus…. (Though I have to warn you guys in advance that for Ash Pairings, Only expecting Amourshipping Fics for this Story… BUT! Rest assured that I won't have Ash and Serena be F***king each other in every One Shot they'll be featured in like Ryu Does with Ash and Misty at least)
Also, I will try to avoid making Ash and Serena's Romance form feeling Forced at least…. (So anyone whom's having beef with Starco and Adrienette form Star Vs the Forces of Evil and Mircalous Ladybug, Rest assured I'll try to make my Amourshipping Fics better then those Pairings at least)

So, To keep things Simple, This One-Shot is During XY and Z, After Greninja's Evolution (A Festival of Decision AKA XY100) and Before A Dancing Debut (XY101)
Clemont, Ash and Serena are also 15 Years old in this Fic (AKA They Actually age in this Story) while Bonnie is 9….
And Also, (PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS MY AMOUR FIC! SO GO EASY ON ME PLEASE, I'M NOT AN EXPERT IN ROMANCE YET….Any ACTUAL CRTICISM IS APPERICATED BUT NO FLAMES!)

A Long time Ago, There was once a Special Race of Humans that lived in the Kalos Region Called the Fireshifters….
Legendary Wielders of the Fire Element, Whom can command the Flames and Embers at will….
But those Humans aren't humans at all… they're a Special Group of Fire Type Pokemon that can take on a Human Form…. A Group of Pokemon Rumored to be blessed by Arceus himself to take Human Form and act as a Bridge between Humans as well….or so one side of them says….
But they're feared among Kalos as being Monsters and inhuman… With them also rumored to be born after the Great War of Kalos that led to the Creation of the Ultimate Weapon… Being resulted of Dead Fire Types drained or killed by the weapon infusing their spirits into other humans, Overriding their Human DNA with Pokemon DNA and causing their descendants to become Purebreed Pokemon with the Ability to shapeshift form Human into Pokemon….
They're instantly hunted down by the Ancient Kalosians in fear of their abilities and as a Curse believed to be caused by the Ultimate Weapon's Power…. To the point of being considered long gone and hunted into extinction to eliminate a possible Curse caused by the Kalosian King of old….
However despite their presumed extinction, The Fireshifters are rumored to survive into the Modern Era…. Waiting to be rediscovered once more as some Kalosians are displaying some irregular fire techinques as well and behaving more Pokemon then Human as well….
And a Young Serena Gabena is about to discover her true self right now…..

World of Pokemon, Kalos Route 18, Nearby Pokemon Center:
Nightfall is about right now… And he was suppose to be sleeping right…
But Ash Ketchum was currently unable to sleep as he looked at his Newly evolved Greninja's Pokeball, Still surprised by what just happened back during the Ninja Festival in Sampei's Village…
Not only has Frogadier evolved into Greninja but the two briefly tapped into a Power neither of them are aware of… A Mega Evolution like form that appeared… and said form vanish afterwards once the battle was over….
It was never something he can do with say Charizard, Sceptile, Infernape or even Pikachu, Even if he doesn't know about Mega Evolution until his trip to Kalos….
But somehow… Whatever happened to him was likely something Greninja can do… And it almost feels like his Aura Powers reactivating once more… No doubt triggering whatever happened with the two of them…
Maybe it was why Olympia mentioned back in Anistar City about why Greninja was unique… This brief Mega Evolution-like feeling was this….
'Better try battling with Greninja tomorrow for some results at least…. Maybe Clemont can help at least….' He thought to himself as Pikachu rushed up to him in concern and quickly patted him on the shoulder
"Pika-Pi….Pikachu…." Pikachu said back to his trainer while he gave a pat on his shoulder, No doubt trying to help get his mind off things at least.
"Thanks Bud…." Ash smiled back to his Partner and Best Friend as the Pikachu smiled back to him, deciding to worry about whatever is happening right now…
But before he can hit the shack like a Snorlax form a full meal, he then noticed Serena quickly rushing outside form his window…. Just as an odd feeling
'Is that Serena?' Ash thought to himself as he glance towards Pikachu whom nodded back to his trainer, no doubt already knowing what's he's going to do.
The two (With Greninja in his Pokeball) quickly followed Serena as Ash then felt the weird aura appearing once more form his Childhood Friend, no doubt it felt more Pokemon then Human the few times he used it in Sinnoh….
Something must felt very wrong with Serena… And he's not taking any chances….

She doesn't know what's wrong with herself lately… and She's been having irregular things happening to her…
Shortly after the Visit to Senpai's Village and the Evolution of Ash's Greninja, Serena hasn't been herself lately….
She's been acting more Pokemon-like recently like eating Pokemon Food and accidentally using Fire type attacks, Understanding Braxien like she was Pokemon Herself (without Aura Powers to boot) and having suspicious Dreams lately isn't helping matters….
It was almost like she was slowly turning into a Pokemon right now…
Hopefully in her mind, maybe sometime for herself and her Starter could be good at least… She and Braxien are still comfortable with each other at least….
"Serena, Don't worry…" Said Braxien to her trainer as she placed a paw on her shoulder. "It's nothing, You should be fine…."
"Thanks Braxien…." Serena admitted to her starter as her voice briefly became like a Volcarona's, Just as Ash founded her with Pikachu by his side.
"There you are Serena! What's wrong?" He questioned back to his Childhood Friend as he approach her..
"Ash… I don't know how to say this but I think I'm turning into a Po-"
To Ash's Surprise, Serena accidentally sneezed out some ember sparks, Which was very reminiscent of when a Fire Type Pokemon uses an Ember attack…. In which the Honey Blond blushed red with embarrassment form it, Much to Pikachu and Greninja's Shock.
"Like this…." She admitted grimly as Ash looked back to her in concern about this, Unsure
"Ash, I'm worried that I may go feral… or worse, Hurt you and the others in the Process if I do turn into a Pokemon…"
"Hey, Even if you're a Pokemon, You're still you…." Said Ash with a Smile on his Face towards his Childhood Friend, A Blush appearing as well as it did.
"Really?" Serena questioned (In Pokemon Speech) as she blushed back to her Crush/Childhood Friend as Ash briefly blushed back to her as well.
"Besides, I haven't really told you, Clemont and Bonnie about the time I became a Pikachu back in Joh-
A sudden Incinerate attack interrupts the two as they and their Pokemon saw their attackers
"Team Flare!?" Yelled Serena as the Blue haired Scientist Mable glared back to the duo.
"So you're the Kids whom Bryony said interfered with our plans with capturing Z-1, Tch, whatever…." She snarled back to them as she glance towards Serena, Her visor scanning Serena as she stood her ground against her foes.
'So I suppose this Girl's the one Lord Lysandre wants… But how does she factor into our greater plan besides the Zygrade Cores and Megalith?' She questioned 'Bah, No matter…. Time to deal with them now!'
"Grunts! Attack!" She shouted as she sent out her Houndoom, Siccing the Fire Hound Ash quickly sent out Greninja as he
An all out battle soon occurred as both sides, With Ash and Serena dealing with the Flare Grunts and Mable's Houndoom…. With the Former doing well….
However, Serena suddenly felt her body freezing as she then fell to her knees as Ash quickly looked to her.
"Serena!" Ash cried before Mable's Houdoom nearly burns him as the Black haired trainer glared to his foe whom smirked back to him.
"Sorry but you're not going anywhere!" Mable sneered as Houdoom clashed with Greninja as the two quickly resume their duel, as Serena tries to get back up
"Gotta-help ash no-Rona!" Serena shouted as she then froze in her place, much to Braxien's Shock
"Serena! You have to be careful!" Braxien Plead, Hoping to calm her Trainer down, only for her words to fall under deaf ears however…. No doubt her body is ready to change
Her body is burning up, It was like that recently for a while….. Ever since those mysterious Dreams keep occurring in the Recent Nights….
Her mind becoming Hazy, her Legs becoming wobble, her stomach cramps, Almost like the Compound eyes…
And most of all, Dreams of sprouting Moth like wings similarly to a Volcarona emerging form her back before she woke up form her nightmares… Relief to see she's still Human at least.
But this time, it's Real…. VERY Real for her right now…..
'The Dream…. It's real!' Serena cringed to herself as she tried to resist the pain, only to feel even more pain as embers sparks started
"Serena! Serena!" Ash cried as he rushed towards his Childhood Friend in concern as the embers then turned into massive flames, covering Serena's Body as it did…. But strangely, never Burning her in the Process…..
"Ash! Help! As-Corna!" Serena screamed as the Flames devoured her body, as her shaped changed form a Human body… to a Volcarona's body….
Much to the Shock of the Team Flare Members whom some realize there's a Reason their Boss wanted while Mabel scrowled in Anger at this, No doubt angered their chances of retrieving both Z-1 and the Blond Haired Girl is lower now because of her Awakening to her true Pokemon self…..
"No! Impossible! The Fireshifter is awakening her true self!" Snarled the Team Flare Scientist much to her horror as Serena's body kept changing form Human to a Volcarona's…. As Ash can only see his Childhood Friend's Apperance changing before his eyes with Pikachu and Greninja as well as Serena's Pokemon watching their Trainers
"Vol… Carona…" Serena mutter as her appearance changed more and more, her voice starting to resemble less of a Human as her legs became her abdomen and her hands becoming four small insect legs on her newly forming fuzz with her six Orange leaf like moth wings are currently forming in the Process….
'What's going on…..' the Honey Blond Kalosian thought to herself, Feeling pain but no burns in her fiery cacoon, as her True self is ready to emerge form the Cacoon of Flames…
The true monster underneath her Human Shell to be exact…..
Serena then emerges as a Full Volcarona, Her body now scorching with energy with the Red horns on a Normal Volcarona replaced with a Honey Blond Hue like her hair as she glared back towards her foes whom harmed her Cursh/Childhood Friend as she then spewed flamethrower and Bug Buzzs at them, no doubt ready to exert revenge for those whom harmed Ash…
Mable can only scrow as her grunts are getting defeated one by one as the Fireshifter Volcarona was no doubt stronger then a Normal Volcarona right now, even if she just awakened….
"Retreat for now! Z-1 and the Fireshifter can wait for another time!" she shouted as she sent out an Abra to teleport she and her grunts away….
As the Team Flare Grunts and Mable fled form the Area via Abra's Teleport, the Once Human Volcarona glared back to them, her eyes burning with rage however before it shifts to those behind her.
Serena then glance towards Ash as she glared back to him, The Latter steeling his Ground in case his Childhood Friend has become Feral as Greninja, Pikachu and Braxien stood by him,
"Serena Calm down! It's me Ash!" He shouted as Serena floated towards him, Still frenzied form the battle. "Team Flare's Gone now!"
But before she can do anymore, Serena then return back to her human self, as she fell down in the process.
"Serena!" Braxien cried as she rushed towards her Trainer with Ash approaching her as well.
Ash's Aura then flared up, Quickly confirming Serena's Alive but unconscious right now…. The Aura he was sensing form Serena also returning to normal a-bit with both Pokemon and Human signatures in them as well however….
Before Ash can dwell on it even further, A Blond Boy with a Blue Jumpsuit approached him
"Ash, There you are!" Said Clemont as he rushed to Ash and Serena with concern.
"What happened? All I heard was the sound of a battle, And I briefly saw a Volcarona and th-"
"Clemont, Serena needs help… and Quickly…." Ash Admitted as he grabbed Serena's Body (while being Careful not to touch her Chest) with Braxien's Help while Pikachu, Greninja aided him as well "She needs a Doctor….And Quickly…."
Despite this, Clemont nodded as the two boys rushed back to the Center as Ash looked back to Serena whom was still unconscious but very alive form what happened….
But what's not right is Serena's Unusual transformation….
He never seen a Human turn into a Pokemon was something that he saw only once…and that was an accident back in Johto with a witch named Lily no less…..
'Hang in there Serena….Just a little while longer…' Ash said to his Childhood Friend as they and Clemont headed to the Center….
For Serena's Sake after her mysterious transformation into a Volcarona…..

Ok, I'll clarify about what a FireShifter is:
Basically, They're like Manakete (Aka the Dragon Shapeshifters form the Fire Emblem Series, With Tiki being one of them) versions of Fire Type Pokemon…. Where they can take on a Human Form…
They're also stronger then Normal (Though they're not as powerful as Legendries or Mega Evolved Versions of their Species however)
That said, A Fireshifter basically Unshed's their Human Façade/Self when they hit a certain Age, The Average being 14-16 (With the ability to use Pokemon Moves and understand other Fire Types)
Though a Fireshifter would initially find transforming back between Human and Pokemon (as well as being unable to speak Human Language for a while…Which only other Pokemon, Aura Users like Ash or fellow Fireshifters can do)

Don't really have much to say other then this being a sort of Practice Fic for writing Amourshipping at least (Again, First Attempt writing Ash and Serena (Especially the Former given how I been mentioning I'm pretty against Betrayal Fic Versions of the Guy, I don't want to be a hypocrite about the matter), Please go easy on me ok?)
Also Fight Scene is short due to this being a Pilot… Sorry….
(Also for those Reading WoL-DX, Though they're will be Fics about Galar Characters turning into weak/Hated Pokemon and then Slaughtered, Rest assured I'll try to keep the Galar Bashing to a Minimum as well…
