Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Warhammer. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I do not own Warhammer, Gameshop does.
The Ground shifted around his feet as he grunted, slowly trying to reclaim his bearings.
The ringing of battle told him that something was going on at the end of the day. He was tired and he was worn down.
He gripped his bolter before turning to glance to the side. This place was… Odd, it was very odd, very interesting.
The soldier stood to his feet, azure blue armor gleaming as he sighed, tired, too fascinated now with his surroundings to let it end.
He looked around, he was fighting Orks… Yet he saw none, there were no Greenskins here nor was there any sign of the Tyranids that they had fought to begin with.
Odd, so very odd… But perhaps it was for a good reason. He did not know what was going on but he did know that this sort of thing was very odd to begin with and that drove it all home.
To be fair? He needed to think of it once more, crash it downwards, and slam it into the ground, it was not over, yet if he was right at the end of it.
He looked for his brothers. If they were scattered? They needed to reform, to regroup the legion so they could head forwards.
He gripped his bolter, checked all around him, and then slowly started ahead. There were only a few seconds of silence upon his mind as he sighed, knowing ahead was to be far harder than before.
"Brothers? Is there anyone upon this frequency?" He asked as he slowly and surely traipsed forwards, guessing that it would make things harder and harder for him at the end of the day, knowing that if anything.
He slowly walked up the hill, keeping an eye out for a single Ork in case the battle had not ended. His suit detected nothing and it would detect nothing at the end of the path.
There was a lot more to this was for now and it was going to bother him at the end of it… He had a feeling there were fickle forces at play that needed to be dealt with.
Perhaps it would come to a halt… But his brain felt fuzzy, his senses felt off and he did not know this place. One moment? Orks and Tyranids had become their enemy… Now? He was here.
"Brother Halius, are you transmitting?" He heard.
"Yes, Brother Linus… I do not recognize this planet… Shall I continue with the plans?" Halius questioned.
"No. We have been tasked with regrouping and returning to the Consul's Glory and replan… The Greenskins seem to have been wiped out and I do not read any signals on the systems… Though I argue we do not know if they are truly gone." He heard.
He was silent. This world was…. Odd, he could hear the faint battles of something and hummed.
"Brother, what of the guardsmen?" He stated to which there was silence.
The guardsmen had fought well and there was no clear sign of chaos taint… Yet? Their company commander might not see it that way.
He decided to let it be decided by another of their group. Their chapter master would report to the Primarch and they would let them decide it.
"Brother, is there any besides you in your location? I am sending Thunderhawks to transport us all back." He heard.
"I see none, brother. I do not know if there is any here." He stated before he sighed.
There was a moment of pause as he watched a ship… Not one of Imperium design nor that of any Xeno he had encountered… It flew overhead, flanked by a pair of lesser aircraft, all purple in a color that reminded him slightly of heretics.
He held off his bolter fire. He wished to kill them… But he was not stupid, provoking a fight without any reinforcements to aid them would be suicide for them as it would always be.
There was a battle, a pain in his mind which rung harder than any battle, any clash of blades, any brawl of armor and air… And it made little sense to him.
For some reason? He knew not which the galaxy when they were… And he seemed to believe this was not their galaxy.
He heard the din of battle and racked his head for what galaxy they were within and how they were to proceed.
