Skepness Man Beauregarde's Lovers Throughout History
Chapter 1: Sayori Bucket-Andersen
Saturday, April 13, 2013 AF

The plane soared through the sky and Sayori could barely contain herself. "Oh! When are we gonna land? And how is it gonna be when we land? And what is your mother like? Is she strict? Will she be happy with me? Should I have prepped beforehand? I know it's a bit sudden..." and Skepness Man only "It'll be fine. Look, I didn't expect a girl to fall head over heels for me while I was simply visiting Doki Doki High to see if it would be a good school for me, but I'll take it and I'm pretty sure Violet will take it."

"But what if she doesn't? Trust me, I know from experiences shared on the Doki Doki Literature Club on how strict parents can be and I don't want to run into someone who wants to control every single minute of your life!" and Skepness Man "Literally, that's the opposite of who Violet is. In the end I get to decide whether I want to attend Doki Doki High or not and if I do whether I want to join your club or someone else's."

"Well when you do attend you'd better join our club or else!" Sayori did a little scare thing and she immediately laughed and Skepness Man laughed too and it was incredibly rare to see him laugh. And he "Okay okay you win this one you can crack a shell even as tough as mine. But can I win the one where you finally take things seriously and engage in a serious topic?" and Sayori frowned "But that's no fun!" "But that's the point." and from this point on they engaged in a talk about grades and stuff and how their parents' expectations really matter in the long run.

The talking was interrupted when the plane finally landed and Skepness Man and Sayori stepped out and saw a tiered skyscraper and at the front it said Beauregarde Chewing Gum Industry so they knew they ended up at the right place. Sayori couldn't hide her amazement (she already couldn't hide her amazement at the plane but now it was even more obvious just how much she enjoyed the experience) and wanted to rush right past the gate and into the building but Skepness Man held her by the hand. "Aww, you're no fun!" Sayori pouted but the whole thing was occurring at the rate Skepness Man wanted it to occur at.

They stepped through the gate and Skepness Man nodded at the gate guards and they opened the gate and Skepness Man and Sayori stepped through the gate and then the door and they saw a woman in a purple coat and blonde hair. "So, is this it? I'm finally going to meet..." Sayori was interrupted by the woman turning around and looking rather puzzled. "What's wrong?" Sayori asked her neverending smile finally ending.

Violet then spoke up. "You look just like the Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory heiress Bonnie Bucket-Andersen. Only, you're dressed up in this... this... weird uniform-like thing. Does Doki Doki High mandate a uniform? Uniforms just suck out all personality from a high school student, you can trust me." and immediately "Oh no not at all this is just part of the subdivision the Doki Doki Literature Club! And no I don't think I'm the one you're referring to. You can call me Sayori!" She seemed to be all enthusiastic again but anyone with a keen eye could tell that she was faking. But nevertheless Violet "...alright." and she continued guiding Skepness Man and Sayori through the hallway and they ended up at a beautiful room of pink and purple and a chocolate river running straight through it.

For Violet it was just like seeing the room for the first time that's how satisfied she was with her design being fulfilled. And that's how a guest should have seen it but Violet took the moment to step in front of Skepness Man and Sayori and she immediately noticed that Sayori was looking all glum as though memories took over her. And Violet didn't even begin the tour proper she just "You've seen a chocolate river before." and Sayori "No, it's not that at all! It's just... you don't think that a chocolate river has no place in a chewing gum factory, do you?" and Violet clapped her hands. "Exactly! But unfortunately I've seen a chocolate river before and I know that it's absolutely the best when you hide an element like that in a place nobody else will see. And I thought I knew that look but I guess I didn't. So, I guess, enough sidetracking and welcome to Beauregarde Chewing Gum Industry!" and Sayori started smiling again and the tour began.

Throughout the tour Violet did her best to engage the tourgoers but Skepness Man already knew everything so sometimes he even finished her sentences and Sayori, the bundle of sunshine that brightened up every single day at the Doki Doki Literature Club, suddenly seemed rather... mundane. Not exactly sad, mind you, she never gets sad for the sake of her friends, but she also wanted the magic capability to finish Violet's sentences because then she'd be a true part of the tour. Maybe she did need to take notes on this tour and study up and get an amazing grade and return to the tour knowing everything but she forgot to take her notebook with her so even part 1 of this plan was a bust.

But throughout all of this Violet kept thinking to herself and believing like she's onto something but even Skepness Man, the best reader of her expressions in the world, couldn't tell what.

The tour eventually returned to the room with the chocolate river and Violet "So, which part of the tour did you like the best?" and Skepness Man didn't have a good answer but Sayori immediately "Oh! Oh! When we were in the Invention Room, and you showed us that new type of food that is like a really long string and two people can eat it at once and once they finish they end up kissing? Isn't that just so romantic?" and Violet "Yes. Romance. Only, I keep telling myself that just one really, really long string wouldn't do, and it would have to be a bunch of strings but then how do two people end up eating the same one? Look, it's a really troublesome issue to work out. Like this other really troublesome issue that has been nagging me throughout this entire tour and I'm sorry the tour can't continue I have to work this out right now" and she ran to one of the walls of the room with the chocolate river where a landline telephone was propped up. Skepness Man and Sayori just looked at each other and they supposed that not even Skepness Man could predict this one.

Violet immediately rang a number and "Hello? Have I properly connected to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory?" and Skepness Man grew horrified "Why is she suddenly talking to her main competitor? That's literally the last thing that I expected her to do" and Sayori just hid behind him. Violet then had a flash of thought and flipped a switch right above the telephone so that whatever was said on the other line would be broadcast throughout Beauregarde Chewing Gum Industry as though it was spoken on the intercom.

The other line then finally spoke up "Yes, this is Charlie Bucket speaking. What can I help you with?" and Violet "Alright. So, when Sayori... I mean, when Bonnie last left the Chocolate Factory, did she mention that she was going out with someone?" and Charlie "Now that you mention it, yes, she did ring into the Chocolate Factory and mention that she would be staying with a boy over the weekend." and Violet "And did she mention the boy's name?" and Charlie "No, I don't think she did." and Violet "Oh, how convenient."

There was audible discontent in Charlie's voice and he was curious as to how the person on the other end even knew about Bonnie and such and he immediately "Before we continue, who exactly are you and why are you calling?" and Violet "Oh, I'm just an official from Doki Doki High, the school that Sa... Bonnie goes to, and she hasn't been keeping the greatest attendance..." and before Violet knew it Sayori suddenly stepped out of Skepness Man's shadow and stood up to her. "I absolutely do go to classes, and even if we ignore that, I've never seen you at Doki Doki High..." and Violet just shot back with all the fury that she had gathered during the tour. "You're a public figure. You can't hide these things. The media's eyes are always upon you, and I've been carefully looking exactly where those eyes look."

Charlie understandably worried "Who was that?" and Violet suddenly changed her tone to an excited one but a fake excited one. "Oh, good news! I finally figured out who the boy who Sayori is staying with over the weekend is!" and Charlie "Don't you mean Bonnie?" and Violet "No, I don't think Bonnie is dating her Doki Doki Literature Club alter ego. What I mean is, it's Skepness Man Beauregarde, the heir of the rivaling factory, and I think it's in both of our interests not to allow a marriage to turn into a corporate acquisition."

There was a brief silence, but Charlie eventually spoke up: "So, you're actually Violet Beauregarde, of Beauregarde Chewing Gum Industry?" and Violet "Exactly. Yeah, sorry about the whole Doki Doki High official part; if I said who I am right away, you would immediately hang up." and Charlie "Petty gestures like that exist only in your head. Look, we might not exactly be ready to talk about cooperation, but I've always been meaning to organize a Golden Ticket winner reunion and I would actually want to talk to you about it, would I not?"

"I will never participate in a reunion like that if you keep sending Sayori over and trying to ruin my business and my life's work." and Charlie "Again, don't you mean Bonnie?" and Violet "I literally could not care less about what I mean. Now get out of my face and let me make confectionery in peace." and she hung up and turned back to Skepness Man and found Sayori once again hiding behind him.

"Come out, Sayori. I don't bite." Violet spoke up and Sayori seemingly forgot what the whole fuss was about and stepped out. Violet then "Tell Charlie that doing nothing literally does not qualify him for any position, let alone that of the head of a chocolate factory." and Skepness Man "But you literally talked to him on the phone not too long ago..." and Violet just stopped him with a palm. "One person at a time." She then turned back to Sayori and "Also, tell Riley... I don't know... anything that will make her speak up. Seriously. She has not spoken in public since that time when she literally swallowed a fly." and Sayori laughed. "Yeah, I remember that!" and the two managed to end it on a positive note.

Violet led Sayori out and Skepness Man followed listening in on the two. Violet spoke: "The plane will take you back to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. And my personal advice is: search for true love elsewhere. You will find none here. I found none here." and Sayori nodded and departed for the plane. Violet then turned to Skepness Man.

He immediately "Look, I had no idea that Sayori and the Chocolate Factory were such a big deal to you..." and Violet "Shush." and Skepness Man calmed down. She then "Anyway, as for Doki Doki High, you may join it, you may not, I don't care, one bad apple doesn't ruin the entire school and the teachers have nothing to do with her and they matter in the long run. But if you do, I just don't think that the Doki Doki Literature Club is the best place for you. They'd probably make you wear a stupid name like Chewyface Rantypants or something like that, and, like, it's just not in your best interest."

"Alright." Skepness Man nodded, being grateful for the fact that someone else's mother would probably have grounded him or something like that, and went off to his own room in Beauregarde Chewing Gum Industry, while Violet just stood at the entrance.

"You know, I should try and do this with someone else."
