Sometime Later
Salem properly met everyone in the friend group. Karen snapped various photos before joining some pictures of her own with the new family.
Her son was a father now. The girl she loved like a daughter. Was forever tied to them.
Eventually the group slowly broke apart. And Karen too left.
Wanting to give the family privacy.
Once everyone was gone. Lucas focused on Brooke but Brooke 's eyes were on Salem.
She still couldn't believe that they had created something this perfect and innocent.
(My eyes with you're hair. I want things to be better for her. She has to come first now.) Brooke explained.
(She's the first priority. Next to you of course.) Lucas replied.
Brooke glared at him. (Don't do that. Tell me what I want to hear or what you think sounds right to say.)
(You admitted that you have feelings for Peyton. And I won't fight the reality of that anymore.)
(Salem has changed everything. I want peace of mind and happiness.) Brooke said.
(Meaning we're over. I love you Luke.)
(I probably always will.) Brooke stated matter of fact.

Days Later
(We're home Salem.) Brooke said. As she gazed back at the backseat.
Their hospital stay was officially over.
Now real life began.
