Salem managed to sneak away into the living room. And watch from the window.
Her dad and Lindsey were saying stuff she couldn't hear.
(Salem Brooke Scott. Get away from the window and finish you're dinner.) Brooke instructed.
(Momma why is daddy angry. Are you upset with Lindsey?) Salem asked.
(It's not for a little girl to worry about.) Brooke replied.

He wrapped her in his arms and pulled her in for a kiss.
Long over. Lucas thought to himself. As he pushed away a secret hidden moment they shared in the past few years.

Lucas felt the color drain from his face and his heart sink.
He quickly poured himself something more to drink.
(I'm just surprised that you didn't tell me.I thought we were close.) Lucas said.
(We are but some things are just mine.) Brooke replied.
