While the crew remained on the boat, Luffy walked on the rocky area, before stopping in front of Usopp.
"So we're really going to fight." He said.
"Absolutely." Assured the sniper.
"Luffy...Usopp..." Nami whispered.
"Why are they fighting?" Chopper asked with tears in his eyes.
"That's what we call conviction." Bruno asserted. "Both have a different idea, and they are convinced that they are making the right choice! And to prove it, they are ready to use all the determination possible to dominate the other's conviction."
"But Usopp is in no condition to fight." Vivi retorted.
" She's right. " Yosaku agreed. "Normally, Usopp-aniki could never face Luffy-aniki! And now that he's injured..."
" SHUT UP ! " Said Wiper.
Looking at the duo in front of him, he affirmed.
"To refuse someone's challenge or to take him out of pity is to disrespect him."
Being with Luffy, Hatterene heard him.
"Hatterene! I forbid you to interfere."
" Hatte ? "
Thinking the same thing, Usopp grabbed his pokeball before locking Heracross inside.
"This fight only concerns us" The sniper stated.

Then they stared at each other again.
"Luffy! Today, I advise you to take me seriously, because I don't intend to run away as usual! I intend to kill you with a snap of my fingers."
"You know perfectly well that this will never happen."
"Want to bet? I've known you for a long time and I already know how to defeat you."
Then, he inhaled a large amount of air, before screaming.
"I have 8,000 men under my command."
And as if this cry was a signal, Luffy projected himself towards him.
" GUM GUM PISTOL ! "
However, he stopped immediately when he saw Usopp spitting blood and kneeling on the ground. Usopp's injuries seemed to have gotten worse.

" USOPP ! " Shouted Chopper.
"Bakayaro!" Bruno growled. "It's his way of fighting."
Indeed, having no injury, Usopp stared at Luffy, while pointing to the ketchup that covered his hand.

" AHHHHHHH ! MY EYES !" Luffy shouted, stepping back.
Staying on the boat, the pirates then saw Usopp bombard Luffy with rotten eggs...burn his mouth with a tabasco marble...and force Luffy to fall to the ground which was covered in caltrops.
" AHHHHHHHH ! IT HURTS ! "
"It's my way of fighting and I got Merry back." Usopp assured, preparing another projectile. " PEPPER STAR! "
Hit in the face, Luffy felt pepper tickle his nose and make him sneeze.
" ATCHOUM ! "
Seeing him sneeze, while his vision was blurring, Usopp only had to wait a few moments for Luffy to lose his balance and fall back onto the trapdoors.
"None of my attacks are wasted! And now, it's time to finish the last part of the fight."
Managing to keep his balance, Luffy stopped being stung by the pitfalls. However, trying to catch his breath, he struggled to breathe.
" That ... ? "
"You feel like you're breathing hard, don't you?" Usopp questioned. "That's normal! The area is now covered in a gaseous mist."

"And as you know..." Usopp began, readying another projectile. "The gas is flammable! FIRE STAR !"

In response, Luffy cried out before rushing towards Usopp.

Unfortunately, a projectile hit one of his fists, before releasing dozens of metal thorns, which embedded themselves in his skin.

Then, forced to flee, he made several jumps to avoid shurikens, before fleeing explosions. Usopp bombarded him while giving him no chance to hit him.
"Pinch me, I'm dreaming." Johnny shouted.
"Usopp has taken the advantage." Lucy noted.
However, as he continued to flee from the explosions, Luffy managed to find an opening and thrust his fist towards Usopp.
" PISTOL ! "
Unable to dodge it, Usopp felt Luffy's fist hit him in the face, knocking him to the ground. Wanting to take the opportunity to counterattack, Luffy rushed towards him, throwing his arms back.
