[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]
For a few hours, Jonathan walked towards Northeast, passing through the Lands of Darkness and towards green lands and blue skies, feeling the temperature drop town to what he knows was around 18C until they saw a town that was still in the state of being built.
His demons were surrounding him along the way, protecting Chloe while she watched him kill off the demons who spoke of "reclaiming their rightful castle", barely sparing any unless they have some form of information that Jonathan easily extracted through his own abilities.
"Our village... Orthadroval, as I've named it, is just something I came up with. The houses are going to be finished in under a month, and the walls that would be built soon will finish in a week or two." Jonathan commented as they approached the town.
Some of the materials used for building the town was pillaged from north of Ken, and the newer houses are going to
They passed by a few demons who bowed their heads briefly before said demons returned to their assigned work.
Chloe, already used to these types of coldness she typically experiences, did not shudder in these cold lands, though it would seem like the fall season was coming.
Aside from that, most of the demons that followed then entered houses that were made for them, leaving Jonathan and Chloe to be led to a house where they would begin to live in.
'This would soon become a mansion, then a castle in the far future.' Jonathan optimistically thought, imagining what the future of this town would become, nodding his head.
So far, it was a start of the minor hardships that he would experience, noting his plans would be enough to ensure a decently quick growth of the town.
Military, Agricultural, and Political strengths should be already placed, and he was merely an equal of Olga at this moment.
And while he would be higher in position at the future, Olga should still be an equal to him, technically.
Either way, because it had become his duty to manage the town, and the fact that he still has enough time for everything else, relearning his more reliable utility-type techniques that use Psychic Energy as much as he could master them all in half a year is also a good option.
The Invaders, or Archdemons as they were originally called, were a dangerous force.
And the population was... seriously low and definitely wasn't going to grow soon.
131 people are living here, including him and Chloe at this time, and 50 were technically his slaves that were working to build the town he desired.
He has several different worries, including Olga's safety, the population, and even... what he should do for the town.
"I see..." he muttered, glancing at Chloe. "... Our training will start soon, tomorrow at the afternoon. I'll go easy for 2 months."
Chloe nodded energetically, because she was excited to learn how to fight, and that she probably wasn't even going to think of something else other than that.
And now, Jonathan sat down with Chloe, the two of them currently eating stale bread that were pillaged way earlier. It was just for their light snack.
He was silent, until he felt bored and decided to use Psychic Energy to telekinetically lift the bread and eat it without using his hands, surprising Chloe who actually knew that Jonathan could use "magic".
She tried to imitate him and failed, allowing her bread to fall off her hands. But before it touched the ground, Jonathan had used his telekinesis to lift it back to her hands.
Then, Chloe expressed a desire to learn magic from Jonathan, but he declined in teaching her magic, explaining that Olga will soon teach her once they return to her Castle.
And, that she's not really suitable to manipulating Psychic Energy as the process of becoming an ESPer sometimes results in a change of mentality to a dangerously crazy one if done improperly, and he actually doesn't really know how to grant her the ability to use Psychic Energy, just because he honestly didn't really express the desire to learn it.
Anyway, they rested, all while Jonathan began to focus on remastering how to use telekinesis and portals for transportation and utility effectively, due to reasons that transportation will be far easier due to them.
And it looked cool on him, too. This exercise went on for an hour, before he stopped and actually slept his night off.
The next day, Jonathan and Chloe stood towards in the backyard of their home, the latter being in more proper clothing for training while the former being without his coat.
Jonathan planted down a few dummies to the ground with his own physical strength, before pulling a nearby plank of wood with telekinesis, then in a burst of Psychic Energy, it began to twist and bend until it became two wooden swords, one smaller and one larger.
He gave the smaller wooden sword to Chloe.
"Chloe, follow my movements." Jonathan spoke, taking a stance and holding his sword with both his hands.
The girl tried, and the moment he began to swing his sword, Chloe followed his movements, or at least tried to.
Only for her sword to drop behind her.
"Eek!"
She jumped out like a scared cat, before feeling embarrassed right away, picking up the heavy sword herself.
"Hold tight to the sword, and begin to swing." Jonathan instructed, and Chloe began to try her hardest, only to fail some more. "Don't swing too harshly, or even too softly, just swing with the force you think is right."
Though, Chloe grumbled in reply.
"I can't, it's too hard!" She said, though her grip was still tight. "But, I have to keep trying!"
"That's the spirit! Keep moving, until you get used to it! Then, if you get used to it, begin attacking the dummy with that sword, take some rest if necessary." Jonathan encouraged Chloe, who nodded once while she began to find the right force she needed to exert.
He was supervising her training, which took a few hours to complete while he was briefly playing around with portals and his own techniques.
Between those periods, Chloe began to strike the dummy as many times as she could, until Jonathan stopped her the moment she felt exhausted, smiling briefly in victory.
"Well, your training with me will be done the moment you land 15 strikes on me, but that is way later, perhaps in a year?" Jonathan stated, before allowing her to rest.
Then three days passed in the blink of an eye.
It was time for Jonathan to focus on the village.
