At Marshall's.

"Finally! After all these centuries my dream has been fulfilled!" Exclaimed OC happily as she climbed onto Marshall's lap as he sat on the couch with a broken arm in a cast. "You're in a relationship!"

"I guess I am." Said Marshall cheerfully with a shrug.

"What's it like?" Asked OC excitedly with starry eyes. "Tell me all the details!"

Marshall paused before pulling out a book from nowhere. "Well, we were following this relationship guide book and it's going pretty well." He said cheerfully.

OC gasped in shock. "GUIDE BOOK?! Marsh, relationships don't have guides! You have to traverse the waves of conflict together to find true harmony!"

Marshall narrowed his eyes. "Pass." He deadpanned, causing OC to freeze in shock. "Canyon and I had enough drama. We're acting like adults and communicating."

"But the drama's the best part!" Whined OC with a deep frown. "At least tell me you've kissed."

"We have. On the cheeks. It's how I broke my arm." Said Marshall cheerfully as he pointed at his broken arm.

"Is her kiss that strong?" Asked OC with a smile and one of her brows bouncing up and down.

"Nah, we got distracted by the kisses and fell down a short cliff." Said Marshall with a shrug and a smile. "Canyon got a few small bruises, but she's alright."

"Ugh, that's not very exciting." Replied OC with a pout.

"Does it have to be?" Asked Marshall raising a brow. "We're both pretty happy with the way we're taking things."

"But that's not how relationships are supposed to go!" Argued OC crossing her arms.

"You just said there's no guide to relationships." Replied Marshall calmly, causing OC to go silent. "Maybe romance isn't what you see it. It isn't always glamour or drama, I think? Me and Canyon aren't like that. Maybe it's just you who wants that, I don't know."

OC heard that and her shoulders dropped. She knew not all relationships had exciting drama, but was it really just her who wanted to have such twists and turns?

She always dreamed of having romantic drama, but she never actually wanted it. Drama seemed so tiring. But she didn't want nothing either. Did she even want the romance? She herself wasn't interested in anyone.

"...what DO I want?" OC asked with a frown.

She could just use her powers to get the answer, but that felt unappealing. This was an important question and any important question needed a journey of self discovery to go along with it.

"Are you having some kind of existential crisis?" Asked Marshall raising a brow before OC jumped off his lap.

OC nodded as she put a hand on her chin. She needed to answer this question and she knew where to go. She always knew.

"Need some help?" Asked Marshall with a smile as he put his hand on her shoulder.

OC narrowed her eyes and shook her head before heading to her room to prepare, causing Marshall hum in intrigue.

Outside Finn and Jake's treehouse at daytime.

OC, who was wearing a backpack stared at the door of the treehouse. Here was the perfect person to help her understand what she truly wanted... according to her powers.

Knowing that the door was locked, OC pulled out a lockpick kit and easily unlocked the door before going inside and heading upstairs.

There, Finn and Jake quickly noticed her and we're surprised.

"OC? What are you doing here?" Asked Finn in surprise.

"And how'd you get in?" Added Jake in equal surprise.

"I'm a master lockpick, Jake. I've done a lot of things with these hands, terrible things." Said OC in a menacing tone as she held up her hands, which only came off as cute to everyone. "Anyways, I need help with some self reflection."

"Well, you've come to the right pla-" said Jake cheerfully before OC cut him off.

"Oh, I'm not asking you two for help." She said calmly before pointing away from Finn and Jake. "I'm asking him!"

Finn and Jake's eyes followed OC's finger until they landed on none other than...

"BMO?" Asked Finn and Jake in unison, both equally confused.

Upon hearing his name, BMO turned to everyone with a curious expression prompting OC to approach him calmly.

"BMO, you are the perfect candidate to be my teacher on this spiritual journey." Said OC in a serious tone. "Would you like to guide me on the path of self discovery?"

BMO smiled innocently. "Sure!" He said happily. "I'm always happy to help!"

"Thank you, BMO." Said OC in a dramatic tone. "I will not forget this favor."

"Okay." Replied BMO cheerfully.

Finn and Jake watched this scene with clear confusion. So they decided to do what any sane person would in this situation would do, spy on the two little guys.

Somewhere in the treehouse BMO and OC found themselves sitting across from each other at a small table which was normal sized for the two of them. The table also had two cups on it.

"Alright, BMO. After Marshall and Canyon started dating, I've lost track of what I wanted in life. And since using my powers to conjure the answer would be too easy, I've come to you." Said OC calmly. "Give me some of that innocent wisdom you got."

BMO hummed innocently before he picked up one of the two empty cups on the table. "Want some tea?"

OC put a hand on her chin. "I guess I could go for some." She said calmly as she pulled out a tea canister from her backpack. "I've brought camomile t-"

OC couldn't even finish her sentence before she heard some slurping. She turned to BMO and saw him drinking a nice cup of... nothing.

"I sorta want to use my omniscience to figure out what you're doing, but I'm also intrigued." Said OC narrowing her eyes as she put back her tea. "Continue."

"Okay!" Exclaimed BMO happily as he continued fake drinking. "That was good tea."

"I guess it was." Said OC with a shrug. "What now?"

BMO smiled and pulled out a cookie. "Sweets." He said cheerfully.

"Ooh, I brought mine!" Said OC cheerfully as she pulled out a pouch from her back pack. "Objectively the best cookies in the universe. Like, literally. I've won an intergalactic baking contest with these. Their smell alone could make mouths water. Want one?"

"Sure!" Exclaimed BMO happily as he took a cookie from the pouch.

OC could hear the muffled voices of Finn and Jake arguing about the cookies in the next room. She chuckled for a second before sighing.

"Y'know, BMO, everything gets boring when you know everything." Said OC calmly. "Even Marshall is predictable with a good enough algorithm. It all gets so dull sometimes and I hate it."

"Huh? But it's so beautiful." Said BMO in concern.

"Only for a while." Replied OC with a pout. "A once in a lifetime sunset is beautiful, but when you can see it a hundred times a day it's not that impressive. I've seen relationships like Marshall's before where no drama happens, but it's so boring. Maybe that's just what I want, excitement in a world I've seen a billion times. What do you think, BMO?"

"Hmm, maybe that chair knows something." Replied BMO innocently as he pointed at a rocking chain in the corner of the room. "He's very old and wise."

"I- what?" Asked OC in confusion and bafflement.

BMO didn't reply and instead gestured with his head towards the chair with a smile, causing OC to shrug and approach the very inanimate chair.

"Uhh, hi there?" Said OC staring at the chair with a frown. "It's not replying."

"You have to listen from the inside." Added BMO with an encouraging smile.

OC sighed and focused on the chair, thinking furiously about what it would say. And the conclusion was "Hello there, young lass!".

It was at that moment that OC realized what BMO was teaching her, probably unintentionally, how to use her imagination!

She got so used to having all the information in the world that she never considered to make stuff up.

OC smiled as she decided to play BMO's game. "O wise chair, I've come on a journey of self discovery. What is your wisdom?"

"Surrender yourself to the dark lord and he will grant all your wishes." Said the chair in OC's imagination.

OC hummed before turning to BMO. "I think the chair is evil." She said calmly. "Let's execute it."

BMO gasped in shock. "Oh no!" He said worriedly. "Mr chair! How could you?"

"Evil! Evil! Mwahahaha." Said the chair in BMO's imagination.

OC pulled out a crossbow from her backpack and aimed at the chair before turning to the table where she and BMO sat and where Finn and Jake were trying to steal OC's cookies.

Without hesitation or mercy, OC fired at the two heroes trapping them in transparent bubbles without any cookies.

Jake whimpered at the lack of cookies in his hands before OC approached him and Finn.

"You can get the cookies, if you just do as I say." Said OC in a menacing tone.

Finn and Jake turned to each other for two seconds before turning to OC and nodding and the omniscient orb smiled.

10 minutes later.

"We have come here to witness the execution of old evil chair." Said Jake calmly as he held a blank piece of paper like an important scroll. "Would the judges like to add anything?"

"Behead him!" Exclaimed OC excitedly as BMO sobbed next to her.

"How could you do this, old chair? I trusted you!" He said dejectedly.

Seeing this, Jake turned to Finn who was wearing a sock with holes to see and breathe on his head and gave him a thumbs up.

Finn nodded before pulling out a sword and slicing the chair in half without mercy. And so, freed from the evil of the chair everyone celebrated by eating delicious cookies.

The end.

What do you think, Marsh?

Pretty good. No, super good.

Heh, just you wait. You'll be swimming in great narratives from now on.

chuckles* Yeah, yeah. I will.

That last part without quotes is saying that all of this is narrated by OC telling the story to Marshall. Just in case you didn't get that.

Also, check out my Fionna and Cake fic. It's about the genderbent version of Werewolf Queen. If you don't know about her, that's normal. She is only mentioned in one episode only as a one time gag and never appears at all.

So go check it out, it has all the pain and angst you could ever need.

Tell me how I did. Leave a review.

Toodles.
