Shadowpounce is a naracuga and Bomb's pet. He has black fur and red eyes.
Shadowpounce is born as the half-brother of Greenswift, Fiercewater, Starwing, Blink, and Silverwind. His father was the dominant male in their group and mated with several female of different species of their kind. Shadowpounce and 5 of his half siblings flew off on their own when they were raided by hunters. While in the Monster Hunter universe, the team comes across a fighting arena created by hunters. They infiltrate the arena by putting their own rescued beasts into the fights. They all only pretend to fight each other to give the others time to rescue the trapped beasts. Bomb rescues Shadowpounce and he's grateful.
Shadowpounce often views himself as the leader of the naracugas. He surely has great courage. He is devoted to protecting the team, his master, and his siblings from danger, no matter what form it comes in. Unlike his siblings, Shadowpounce was very aggressive towards Bomb because he thought he was a trainer. However, he settled when he noticed Bomb didn't smell like the other trainers nor did he have the appearance of a hunter.
Shadowpounce has the ability to attack with almost every part of his body, mainly his bladed wings and his spiked tail. His head can be used for biting. His bladed wings are used almost for entire battles and deals high damage. His tail tip is extremely dangerous. When in Rage Mode, his tail spikes will protrude until he gets out of it (Although they will protrude when he uses tail slams and he shoots tail spikes). Shadowpounce also has extremely strong muscles that let him jump long distances and tall heights at high speed.
Trivia:
Shadow Pounce gets his name from his English species name, Pouncing Shadow.
He's the first Naracuga to be introduced.
