Starwing is a naracuga and Spex's pet. She has white fur, black and purple wings with small white stars on them, and red eyes.
Starwing is born as the half-sister of Shadowpounce, Greenswift, Fiercewater, Blink, and Silverwind. Her father was the dominant male in their group and mated with several female of different species of their kind. Starwing and 5 of her half siblings flew off on their own when they were raided by hunters. While in the Monster Hunter universe, the team comes across a fighting arena created by hunters. They infiltrate the arena by putting their own rescued beasts into the fights. They all only pretend to fight each other to give the others time to rescue the trapped beasts. Spex rescues Starwing and she's grateful.
Starwing is mostly motherly, which allows her to get along with many people, along with young children. Despite being a naracuga, Starwing rarely shows signs of a violent nature. She is very attentive and always looks her best and ensures Spex does the same. She hates being dirty and will lick dirt or mud off of her fur or off her master.
Starwing has the ability to turn invisible, and perform a double tail slam. She can also extend her spikes by shaking her tail, even when not enraged. While in this mode, all of her tail attacks cause venomous spikes to fly out.

She's the calmest and most docile naracuga.
