After chasing Tsukiko through the woods, Linkle came to a stop in front of a giant tree. Tsukiko was staring up at a tree in front of it that was slightly smaller. The tall tree was decaying and looked as if it could collapse at any second. However, the smaller tree was healthy and strong.
Tsukiko walked up to the smaller tree and placed her hand on it. Suddenly, a pair of eyes and a mouth emerged from the tree, and scared them both. The tree began to speak, but its mouth and eyes did not move, which was very disturbing. The voice was deep and echoed through the woods. It spoke in an ancient language, which Tsukiko seemed to understand.
Once the tree finished speaking, the eyes and mouth disappeared into the tree again, and the Forest became silent.
Tsukiko took off the necklace and transformed back into a Keaton. She then climbed up the tree and yanked a branch from the tree. Then she jumped down and motioned for Linkle to put the necklace back on her.
As soon as she did, she spit the branch out of her mouth as she became Hylian again.
"Here's the branch"! She said with a smile of pride.
"Is that really all he said to do"? Linkle questioned.
"Yup, trees just take a long time to say anything," Tsukiko explained.
"You mean all the trees talk"? Linkle asked.
"No, but Deku trees like these two do. He said that his father is the dead one behind him. He wanted to tell me more, but knew our urgency" Tsukiko replied.
Linkle nodded her head in understanding and picked up the branch. Immediately, the Triforce mark on her hand began to glow, and the branch began to twist. When the glowing stopped, that branch had turned into two wooden crossbow frames. Tsukiko jumped up and down with excitement.
"We have the first piece"! She squealed.
Linkle switched out the frames of her old crossbows with the new ones and put them back onto her boots.
"Now what do we do"? Linkle asked in confusion.
"We continue looking for the next piece of course"! Tsukiko said enthusiastically.
The only problem was that they had no idea where to start.
Meanwhile, back in the Arbiter's Grounds, several guards arrived at the cell.
"The boss is splitting you up!" said the head bulblin.
Each guard grabbed a prisoner, blindfolded them, and took them away. The only one left was Link.
"The boss has a special place for you" said the head bulblin with a disgusting grin.
He grabbed Link, and jabbed something into his eye. Link's whimpers and howls were muffled by his gag, and he soon passed out.
"Sleep tight little doggie" said the bulblin.
