Parasol is an aknosom and Marie's pet. She has gray and pink feathers and amber eyes.
While in the Monster Hunter universe, the team comes across a fighting arena created by hunters. They infiltrate the arena by putting their own rescued beasts into the fights. They all only pretend to fight each other to give the others time to rescue the trapped beasts. Marie rescues Parasol and she's grateful.
She can act haughty and slightly arrogant, but has a good sense of logic and is shown to be a loyal and caring friend, getting deeply worried about those she cares about, when they are in danger or distress. Despite this, she isn't afraid to tease them or snap at them. She is very independent and prefers to hunt alone, but considers the other members of the Rangers like her family. She can be sarcastic and fairly short-tempered, letting out a raspy caw when she gets annoyed. Fuli appears to be slightly resentful towards humans but shows no hostility towards the ones on the team. She likes water, getting muddy, bugs including termites, having her feathers touched, and being caressed. She detests certain odors, such as Minx's stink.
Parasol is capable of using her collar as a defensive shield or a bludgeoning weapon by fanning it out. She will try and intimidate opponents using her collar and her head crest. Her beak is tough enough to be stabbed into the ground with considerable force without sustaining damage. She is able to spit small fireballs as well, which bounce across the ground and leave small patches of flames behind. She is also capable of rushing at very high speed, and using her blade tipped wings to swipe at enemies. She is also capable of flight and aerial attacks.

Parasol gets her name from her umbrella-like crest.
Her original name was Paris.
