Kutkut is a yian kut-ku and Grulla's pet. He has red, yellow, and blue skin and yellow eyes.
While in the Monster Hunter universe, the team comes across a fighting arena created by hunters. They infiltrate the arena by putting their own rescued beasts into the fights. They all only pretend to fight each other to give the others time to rescue the trapped beasts. Grulla rescues Kutkut and he's grateful.
He is a bit scatterbrained, and sometimes forgets things mid-way. It doesn't take much for him to get quite temperamental and aggressive, and he is easily moved by touching moments. He is noted to be extremely authoritative, trustworthy, and reliable in the sense that he doesn't mess things up, and knows that he can count on the other members of the Rangers. Kutkut is the conversational and understanding animal in the Rangers. He is very laid back, as it takes a lot to upset him. However, he is also quite sensitive to having his feelings hurt. Kutkut is also very sympathetic and demonstrative towards the fears, worries, or troubles of others.
Kutkut is capable of moving at high speeds thanks to his light weight and small stature. He is also able to produce flaming projectiles coming from his flame sac, which can be shot from the mouth at attackers. He can spew three flaming projectiles at foes when enraged and move faster.
