Austins Duel
Neighborhood
It is early in the morning, the sun is starting to rise, shining towards the neighborhood. 6 am, Austin leaves his house and goes out for a run. He is wearing gray shorts, a red hood with the sleeves cut off, and red sneakers. He runs from his house to the neighborhood park, cuts through the big park and heads over to Williams neighborhood. He runs past a bunch of really big houses, some big the size of mansions, some small compared to the mansion looking house. He sees Donna (Williams Maid) take out the garbage "Morning Donna!" Austins yells while running by her. Donna looks over and sees Austin running by her, she says "Good Morning Mister Austin!" Austin runs by some people walking around. After taking a stroll down some neighborhoods, he goes through the woods, and runs down the Angel Grove Trails.
Angel Grove Trails
Austin runs deep within the trails, not a person on site. As he continues running, Metallic Grant teleports in front of Austin. Austin stops and pulls down his hood, giving Grant an annoyed look on his face. He says "really? You can't find anything better to do?" Metallic Grant is irritated by Austins sarcastic comment "battle me or suffer Red!" he says this while raising up his sword. Austin faces the camera and yells "It's Morphin Time!"
"Tyrannosaurus!"
Austin morphs into the red ranger and takes out his power sword. Both Austin and Metallic Grant battle each other in a sword fight. Austin wonders why this is recurring. He keeps battling Metallic Grant. Both swords clash towards each other. They battle and battle, running through the woods and clashing their swords to each other. Metallic Grant eyes the Red Ranger, Austin's blade glows red, he slashes the Metallic being. Metallic Grant falls down, he feels weakened by the blow. As he gets up, he is about to point the blade towards the Red Ranger, Austin fires his blade blaster towards Metallic Grant. Grant drops his sword, feeling defeated. Metallic Grant yells, "this isn't over Red!" he goes back to base.
Austin demorphs, he doesn't know what is up with Metallic Grant. "Why me?" he asks, in confusion.
Grande Morevils Lair - Training Room
Metallic Grant slashes and slashes the dummies, they all look similar to the red ranger. He keeps slashing until he is exhausted, he breathes heavily like he just ran an ultra marathon. "My home planet, shall be avenged…." Metallic Grant says breathing heavily, he goes over to a closeted room, the door opens.
Grande Morevils Lair - Training Room - Secret Room
The secret room is filled with darkness, it has a few glowing lights with an orange brightness. Metallic Grant goes over to a framed picture, he looks at it. The picture shows a handsome young man standing next to a beautiful woman with a crown on her head. "I will avenge my home planet, I will find whoever did this to us…" Metallic Grant says, as he gazes into the picture. "We deserved to be married and rule the planet. Not be reconstructed into freaks with no future…." Metallic Grant says, wondering who destroyed his home planet. He thinks about his Lady, he wonders why they were spared by this mysterious invader. He looks at another picture, it is the same handsome man but with the same sword that he is carrying with him. Grant stares at his old self. Hoping to soon find his destroyer. The camera zooms in on the Old Swordsman Grant and his Lovely Girlfriend. The camera zooms into the girl, it cuts to Lady Darcine.
Grande Morevils Lair - Lab
Lady Darcine is on the computer, she looks around for that box, she scans all over the earth to find it. Clondurk squints for a bit, wondering why that black and lavender box looks so familiar to it. Lady Darcine continues to look through, her eyes are bloodshot. She keeps finding the location of the black box. Clondurk comes to her assistance. "Darcy, let me take over. You need rest" Clondurk says to her, feeling concerned. Lady Darcine snaps at it "Do not call me Darcy!" she yells angrily. She then stares down at the keyboard "nobody has called me that since I was human…." she then looks at her arm, feeling like a freak. Clondurk is worried for her.
Clondurk finds something on the other screen. "Lady Darcine, look!" it says to her while grabbing her attention. Lady Darcine leaves her chair, she looks at the other screen. She drops her jaw "no way, it is…." the black box that looks like a gear is shown on the screen. It is located in the northern part of earth, in a cold and snowy location. The black and lavender box is located in Juneau, Alaska. Lady Darcine darts out of the computer like a bullet. Clondurk stops her "Lady Darcine, we must come up with a plan. We can't just come barging in" Clondurk advises her to think for a bit.
Angel Grove High School - Hallway
Austin slams his locker shut, he leans his head on the door. He feels tired from early morning after an interaction with Metallic Grant. A teacher looks at Austin, he wonders what is going on with him. Sav comes over to Austin, he says to him "hey buddy, why the long face?" Austin leans his head up and looks at him, "I ran into another ambush…." he says, feeling exhausted. Sav looks at Austin, he figures out who he is talking about "Grant?" Sav says to him. Austin nods, "that guy has been ambushing me throughout these past few weeks. I don't know why he wants to battle me? But he wants to fight me whenever he can…" Austin says, feeling fed up about him. The teacher listens in, thinking that this is a gang fight. He tries to make himself unseen, while listening in the conversation. Until a student walks up to him "Mr. Palmer, I have the paperwork for the upcoming election for junior student body next year" the student says to him. Mr. Palmer looks at the student, he says to her "Thank you Clare. Are you sure you wanna do this? You're SCO President, do you think you can handle both Class President and SCO President?" Clare nods at him "I think I can handle it!" she then looks at Austin, who is running for class vice president again, she then looks at Minh who is looking through the paperwork of the class pancake breakfast. Three other kids are sitting next to her. "I wanna beat that Kwan for Class President" she says under her breath. Mr. Palmer asks her "what was that?" wondering if he heard her right. Clare looks at Mr. Palmer, she says "nothing!" with a cheeky smile. She then skips to her next class. Mr. Palmer looks at Austin trying to listen in, but he and Sav leave and go over to Minh. They discuss about the class pancake breakfast.
Austin and Sav go over to Minh. Sav slides over to Minh sitting on the bench "Hey Class Presidente!" He says with a smile. Minh sets her clipboard down, she looks over at the boys. "Hey guys, just trying to look for more people to help out" Minh says to the two. Austin groans with annoyance "still?" Minh leans back, and places the back of her head on the wall. "Yes, this is torture, nobody wants to help us out…." Minh says, feeling annoyed with the students not wanting to volunteer to help with the class fundraiser. Sally, the class secretary, follows up "two other kids backed out and Shawns out of town this weekend." Kyle, class treasurer, says this "Shawn's always out of town on the weekends, he's in every Hockey Tournament" he says, feeling annoyed by Shawn. Kyles girlfriend (Caroline) comforts him. Sav gets an idea, "I'll volunteer, I can get the ladies coming towards me" Sav says to them. Minh looks at Sav "Sav, you just wanna get the girls for their pancakes." Caroline laughs at Minhs comment.
A group of kids walk down the hallway, they turn towards the trio. "Having trouble, are we?" the kid with the frohawk says to Minh sarcastically. Minh gives the frohawk kid a fed up look "what is it now, Jake?" she says to him. Jake responds "you may have taken my position as class pres three times already, but you're not gonna sabotage the Drama Club fundraiser!" he says with a smirk. Minh looks at Jake "you've lost three times and hadn't been class president since seventh grade. Get over it already…" she says to him. Jake smirks at Minh "you think your Mayor may have given everything to you easily. But we get Ernie's this Saturday!" Minhs jaw drops, "we had Ernies under reserve!" she says feeling furious. Jake snickers towards Minh, he says to her "well, get ready for some Drama!" Jake and his group walk away from her.
Minh is aggravated by Jake "we had Ernies under reserve! What happened?" she asks, feeling frustrated by Jakes scheme. Austin comforts her "maybe Jake's just saying that? Remember when he tried to get you off the class election?" Minh nods "oh god, he said I was a pregnant seventh grader. It made my mom furious towards me" she says, thinking about Jake. Austin nods, "yeah I remember that, so many rumors…" he then looks at Kyle and Sally "we'll investigate Ernies, maybe Jake is making it up. But we'll try to keep the place reserved for Saturday" he says with a smile. Minh smiles at Austin "what would I do without you?"
Angel Grove Youth Center - Juice Bar
Austin, Kyle, Sally, and Caroline all go to the Juice Bar after school. They go inside and check with Fran to make sure that the event for Saturday is still under reserve. The place is packed with kids getting juice and smoothies, a few people working out, and a yoga class going on in the middle of the gym. The class representatives look around for Fran, Austin sees Cody wiping the counter, he goes over to him. Austin taps on the counter to get Codys attention "Hey Cody, do you know where Fran is?" he asks curiously. Cody looks at Austin and responds "yeah, he's in the back organizing the towels" he says, pointing to the hallway. Austin smiles, he nods at the three Sally says to him "come on, I know where that is!" while trying to take the lead. Austin says to her "we all know where that is Sally" with a chuckle. Sally pouts "I just wanted to feel special."
Angel Grove Youth Center - Towel Room
Austin, Kyle, Sally, and Caroline all go to the back, they head over to the towel room. They look around to find Fran folding and organizing the towels. Austin calls out to Fran "hey Fran!" Fran stops what he is doing and sees the four standing in the doorway of the towel room. Fran smiles and says "hey Austin! What brings you guys back here?" he asks with a puzzled look on his face. Austin asks Fran "do you guys still have us under reserve?" Kyle follows up "We have a pancake breakfast this saturday. It's for our class fundraiser." Fran is confused, he wonders what Austin and Kyle are talking about. "No, this is where the Angel Grove Drama Club takes place?" he says, feeling confused. Austin is outraged, he gets into Frans face "Fran? We had this planned for weeks. We even put this under reserve. And now you're saying we don't have one!" Fran is shocked, but stands his guard "I can assure you that we have the Drama Club on our Calendar. The Calendar does not lie!"
Angel Grove Youth Center - Entrance
Austin storms outside of the youth center feeling defeated, Sally catches up to him. "Austin" Sally calls up to him, she comes over to him "look, we can find another place to have the pancake breakfast" she says to him. Austin looks at her "there's gotta be a mistake! I know it. Minh had the form turned in. Even our Mayor takes care of the place while he isn't busy doing his duties" Austin says to her. Sally says to him "our mayor has more important things to do than take care of a girls responsibilities." Kyle and Caroline glare at Sally. Sally looks at them wondering what has gotten into them. Austin turns around and gets angry with Sally "Sally, our Mayor, is Minhs Guardian! And a father to her! He is Minhs Uncle Zack! He took care of her and still is after her mothers loss! If you are gonna diss anyones family member, don't diss our Class Presidents!" Austin leaves Sally, he storms off before he can say anything else to her. Kyle and Caroline go over to her, they chat with her about the mystery.
Angel Grove Trails
Austin goes down the trails, he thinks about all of the frustrations in his life. He sits on a rock, wondering about how Fran has misplaced the reservation. He thinks until a few Tux Rucks appear. Austin groans, feeling annoyed by the foot soldiers. "Aw great, just when things can't get any worse…" he says. He then goes out and fights them in his civilian form. Kicking down every single one of the Tux Rucks. He leaps up in the air and punches one of them in the face, knocking the henchman down. Austin keeps fighting until he sees Metallic Grant fade in, "we have some unfinished business Red!" he growls toward Austin. Austin is aggravated by the being "don't you have anyone else to fight.." he faces the camera and yells "It's Morphin Time!"
"Tyrannosaurus!"
Austin morphs into the red ranger. He fights off Metallic Grant with his power sword.
Cranston Technologies - Command Center
On the viewing screen, Austin is fighting off Metallic Grant and the Tux Rucks, they surround Austin knocking him around. Austin is overpowered. Alpha cries out "Ai yai yai" he scurries over to the keyboard "the red ranger is in trouble. I have to contact the other rangers!" he says, getting ready to contact the others.
Angel Grove High School - Computer Lab
Minh is doing homework while talking to her long distance boyfriend, they are on facetime. TL and Minh chat about her reservation being terminated. "Yes TL, my reservation has been taken over. It's like that kid doesn't want to have a senior trip" Minh says feeling down. TL listens carefully to her, he says "did you check with the place? Maybe it was misplaced?" he says, trying to be positive with her. Minh answers "I have Austin and the other class officers check. So I don't know what the problem is…" she says feeling down. TL looks at her "listen, maybe there has been a misplacement or someone tampered with the whole thing. You did say that your Uncle Zack took the form right?" Minh nods, "yes, I had him do that. He is part owner" she says to TL. TL suggests "get him to investigate. If he had it under reserve and sent in the form. Maybe the owner misplaced it. He probably got it and had it somewhere else. You'll get your Pancake breakfast Minh" TL smiles at her after saying this. Minh smiles "thank you TL, I don't know what I can do without you" she says, smiling at him. TL smiles as well "thank you babe, I better get going, I have an evening class tonight." They both kiss the camera and hangup. Beverly comes into the room, she has her archery practice shirt on (it is purple with gold on the side) along with her practice shorts. She just recently got out of her first day of archery practice. She smiles at Minh "talking to Tommy Lee again?" She says feeling proud of Minh being in a relationship. Minh smiles at Beverly "yes, he's a real keeper" she feels that she is full of butterflies. Minh looks at Beverlys practice uniform "I see you've made the archery team." Beverly smiles "yep, coach says we might have a chance of going to states this year as a team!" she says feeling pumped for the season. Their communicators go off, Minh and Beverly look around the room. Minh answers the call, "what's up Alpha?" Alpha answers "Minh, Austin is in trouble down at the trails. You must help him!" Minh and Beverly nod, they both face the camera. Minh yells "It's Morphin Time!"

Angel Grove Trails
The Red Ranger is overpowered by Metallic Grant and the Tux Rucks, he is struck by Henchmens Swords. Metallic Grant feels proud to have Henchmen of his own that carry their own swords. They all take out their swords to strike down the red ranger. The pink ranger fires her power arrows, taking down the henchmen. The girls draw their guns. Metallic Grant turns to see both the Pink and Yellow Rangers have appeared. "I hate when my battles are interrupted" said Metallic Grant, feeling irritated by the girls. Austin swings his power sword at Grants back, throwing him down on the ground. Metallic Grant rolls, he grunts in pain "you scum!" Growls Metallic Grant, as he tries to get up. The Red Ranger points his sword towards the Metallic Swordsman "leave now, and I won't be afraid to strike you down!" Austin says, threatening the Swordsmans life. Metallic Grant and his henchmen teleport back to base. Minh and the other two rangers look around to make sure nobody is watching them, the coast is clear Minh says "Power Down" she and the Red and Pink Rangers power down to their civilian form.
Austin collapses a bit, Beverly and Minh hold on to Austin arm to arm. "Are you okay?" asks Minh, feeling worried for him. "Yes, just exhausted…." Austin says, trying to keep himself together. He struggles to stand on his own two feet "Grant is really getting to me…." Austin looks down on the ground "it's like he has something towards me… I don't know why he is after me?" Austin asks the girls. Minh looks at Austin, she is curious herself "I don't know. We gotta get you back to the command center" she says, trying to get Austin up. Beverly nods, she and Minh both teleport, with Austin around their shoulders, to the command center.
Cranston Technologies - Command Center
Austin lies down on the couch. He is tired and exhausted. Minh and Beverly look on the computer to find anything on the database about any Swordsman in the Galaxy. They search up on the monitors for anything. Alpha 9 looks at anything related to Metallic Grant. On the screen, Alpha gets a connection "I have a connection!" He says to the rangers. Minh and Beverly go over to the screen. On the screen it is Adam Park. "Hey Adam!" Alpha says with excitement. Adam smiles at Alpha 9 and sees two girls next to him. One of the girls looks familiar to him "hey Minh!" He says to her with a smile. Adam looks at Beverly "and I see that this is the new Pink Ranger I've been hearing about." Beverly nods "I'm Beverly, I've heard of you Adam" she says. "I have Adam in contact, he might have the data on this Metallic Grant" he says to the girls. Minh and Beverly are pleased. Austin gets up from the couch. He goes over to the screen to talk to Adam "so you're Adam?" Austin says, trying to keep his eyes open. Adam nods to Austin. Austin gives out some information about Metallic Grant "this is the swordsman who tries to defeat me. He has other rangers he could battle but he chose me" Austin says, as he explains the situation, the background shows a monitor, the monitor plays footage of Austin battling Metallic Grant throughout these past few months. Adam observes everything about Grant, he looks at the sword Grant is carrying. Adam asks Austin "pause the video" Austin is confused but pauses the video anyway. Adam observes the sword that is being carried by Metallic Grant. The sword is a long thin blade with a symbol by the handle. The symbol looks like the tail of a scorpion but with the head of a wolf surrounded by a mane (the male lions hair). Adam looks at the symbol wondering why it looks so familiar to him. He asks Austin "send me the footage of that. I'll take a screenshot and send it over to SPD on planet KuKall [CU-KAL], they'll take a look at the symbol" Adam says to Austin. Austin wonders what Adam is talking about but doesn't say anything. He sends over the footage of Metallic Grant over to Adam. Adam nods, he says "thank you, I'll get back to you guys on the data" the screen goes to black, Adam signs off. Austin, Minh, and Beverly all sit back. Austin asks them "so this is all we can do? Play the waiting game?" He asks, feeling insecure about his enemy. Beverly comforts her boyfriend "the former black ranger will get to this. Research doesn't come that fast" she says to him. Austin sighs, thinking about his common enemy. Minh says to him "just go home and relax, we'll find the results" she says to her partner in crime. "You're right" he says to Minh. Austin then turns to Beverly "Bev, you are going to be looking at a brand new person tomorrow" Beverly is confused by what Austin is saying, she asks "what do you mean?" tilting her head. Austin responds "you'll see!" he teleports back home. Minh and Beverly look at each other feeling confused.
Austins house - Front Porch
Austin teleports home, he stands outside on the front porch. He looks around to make sure nobody saw him. He sighs with relief "not a problem in sight" he says. Austin opens up the front door, he goes inside.
Austins house - Foyer
Austin goes inside, he locks the front door. While stepping in, he hears his mother call out to him. His Mother yells from the living room "Austin? Is that you?" Austin responds "yes mom, it's me!" he calls back to her. His Mother calls out "can you come into the living room?" Austin is aggravated, he calls out "can we deal with this in the morning, I'm tired!" he says while he is about to go up the stairs, his father calls out "it cannot wait. It's about school!" he yells out to him. Austin is confused, wondering what his father is talking about. He goes off the stairs and heads over to the living room, inside of the living room is his father, mother, and Mr. Palmer. They are all inside of the living room discussing Austin's fights outside of school.
Grande Morevils Lair - Hallway
Metallic Grant storms into the hallway, he is irritated by the Power Rangers. He was about to take Austin down until the yellow and pink rangers got in the way. He punches a wall, feeling angry about the whole thing. "If I cannot take a swordsman down, then what is the point of my culture!" he says to himself. Grant walks down the dark damp hallway, with his sword showing the symbol that looks like the tail of a scorpion but with the head of a wolf surrounded by a mane. Metallic Grant walks through the whole cave trying to think of something. Telegator comes rushing out of the storage room, he hustles towards the lab. Metallic Grant is puzzled with Telegator, he wonders what he is doing with all of that stuff. Grant sees two Tux Rucks walk into the lab, he follows them inside.
Grande Morevils Lair - Lab
Metallic Grant follows the Tux Rucks into the lab, one of them turns around to the swordsman, Grant shushes them. The two Tux Rucks nod in agreement, knowing when to be quiet. Grant hides behind some crates, he overhears Telegator talking to Lady Darcine.
"Lady Darcine, you know you gotta find a way to sneak in. If people in Alaska see you, they'll do nothing but get the power rangers out here to destroy you. Think of something sneaky to get in there?" Telegator says to her. Lady Darcine is angry with the Gator "I don't know why I let you help me! I could've made you into a purse or some kind of purse monster to destroy those power rangers! You're useless!" she screams towards him. "But I'm trying to help Darcy" Telegator says to her. Lady Darcine blasts at Telegators face, Telegator falls with the phone falling off of the receiver. "Do not call me that!" she screams with rage in her eyes, Lady Darcine leaves the room to cool off. Clondurk helps Telegator up on his feet. "Let her cool off, we'll find a way to be sneaky" Clondurk says to the Gator. "But I'm feeling worried about Lady Darcine, she hasn't been the same since her transformation" the Gator says to the Bot. "Hasn't been the same? Wasn't she always like this?" Clondurk asks the Gator. Telegator says to Clondurk "no, she was once a Human just like Grant. Those two were different since their planet blew up and they were the last survivors. Grande Morevil did best what he could to revive those two" the Gator says to Clondurk. Metallic Grant gets out from behind the crates, he goes over to Telegator and Clondurk, he was gonna charge at them and force them to speak, but he decides to confront them and ask them to help him out. Grant puts his hands on the shoulders of Telegator and Clondurk. His right hand on Telegators left shoulder and his left hand on Clondurks shoulder. They both turn around and see Metallic Grant, they are startled, but shocked that they haven't gotten a reaction from him. "Metallic Grant, what brings you into the lab?" Telegator asks while shaking like a leaf. Metallic Grant asks the two "would you mind, getting me a swordsman? I wouldn't have to tell Grande Morevil about your weird project, DO I?" he says with an evil eye.
Cut back to Austins house
Austins House - Living Room
Austin stands there not knowing what to say. He sees his parents and his teacher sitting in the living room wondering what is going on with Austin. Austin is confused, he is wondering why his teacher is in the living room with his parents. Mr. Palmer looks at Austin and says to him "I stopped by your house because I was concerned about your performance in school." Austin is confused, wondering what his teacher is talking about. Mr. Palmer goes on "You've been sleeping in class and going off campus when you are not supposed too. Then I hear you getting into fights with a guy named Grant. Is there something going on?" Austin's Mother freaks out, "my Austin would never leave school!" Austin doesn't know what to say, he can only think of one thing "uh, activities. Just plain old after school activities!" Austin looks at his parents, his parents don't believe him. Austin's father gets up "young man, we did not raise you to go off campus and fight other people!" He says, glaring at his son. Mr. Palmer asks Austin "is there something going on with you Mr. Jacobs? Is there anything you want to tell your parents and I?" Austin looks at him, he says "yes, I have been trying to get things in order for the class events. I am class vice president and I am doing what I can to help make our class have a senior trip. I try to fight others for a reservation at Ernies for the pancake breakfast this Saturday" he says, trying to come up with something to say that won't give away his secret as a power ranger. Mr. Palmer crosses his arms "oh, so you're trying to fight your way as a class representative? Just like how Ms. Kwan fought towards another student a few weeks ago?" Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs drop their jaws, Mrs. Jacobs freaks out "Minh is fighting and now you? What is going on here? I did not raise a thug!" She yells to her son. Mr. Jacobs looks at Mr. Palmer, he says "thank you for stopping by, we'll take care of this!" Mr. Palmer looks at the family and leaves awkwardly, trying not to feel guilty about the scene he caused. Mrs. Jacobs yells at her son about why he shouldn't be leaving campus or fighting people on the streets. Austin tries to walk away, but his parents keep him in the living room trying to talk some sense into him.
Meanwhile, back at Grande Morevils Lair
Grande Morevils Lair - Lab
The Tux Rucks gather a few old armor plates and a samurai sword. Metallic Grant grabs a dead chameleon and chucks it into the machine. Telegator yells "hey, that's my snack!" he begins to pout. "Never mind about your hunger needs" Clondurk says to him, while smacking the back of the Gators head. Telegator shuts the door, he presses a few buttons on the desktop, a liquid ooze drops into the tube, it flows all the way to the top. There is a "ding" sound, the ooze drains from the tube. The door opens, out comes a humanoid chameleon with a samurai sword. He bows down to the three Metallic Grant comes forward to his new trainee "welcome Slitor! Your mission to take down the Power Rangers!" The swordsman says to the Chameleon. Telegator goes over to Metallic Grant, he says to him "hey Grant!" Metallic Grant looks at Telegator with an annoyed look on his face "what?" Telegator sprays some sleep powder on Metallic Grant, he passes out. Clondurk looks at the passed out swordsman and looks at Telegator "out of all of the times the power rangers have gotten away. You finally use that move?" Clondurk says, looking at the Gator. Telegator responds "I forgot I had that…." He says, putting his face down in shame. Clondurk says to Slitor "how about a mission before you take down the rangers" the being says to the samurai. Telegator realizes what Clondurk is talking about, he says "oh yeah! That mission!"
Angel Grove High School - Hallway
Austin walks down the hallway, he feels so embarrassed he sees a strange person watching him from a few feet behind him. Sav and William go over to Austin. Sav looks at the person watching Austin, he asks "you know there's a creeper watching you…" Austin sighs with annoyance "my parents think that I'm out with a gang, so they sent in a person to watch my every move…." William asks "does the school know about this?" Austin puts his head down, "I honestly don't know…" he puts his head up, "I just don't know how I'm able to get away, you know? Incase Billy or Alpha contact us…" he whispers to the guys, trying to make sure the person isn't listening to him. The person continues to watch Austins every move. He wonders what Austin is talking to William and Sav about, he creeps in to try to overhear. Austin stops talking for a minute, he turns around "can you please give us some privacy!" he says to him. "Mr. Jacobs, your parents sent, ME, Mr. Edwards to watch every single move you do in school. To make sure you aren't going off campus and doing your duties as a student!" Mr. Edwards says to Austin. Austin groans with annoyance "why say your name in third person! You can't let everyone know I need a keeper!" kids look at Austin feeling confused about this, some other kids snicker in the background. Mr. Edwards stares down at him.
Juneau, Alaska - General Store
In Juneau, Alaska, there is snow all over the place. It is 39 degrees, the warmest day in the month. A man with a huge gut walks out of the general store, he switches the sign from "open" to "closed" he puts under the sign that says "on a lunch break" the man catches up to his buddy, they go away on their pickup truck.
After the truck leaves, Slitor turns visible. He fiddles with the lock on the door, it pops open. Slitor goes inside of the store.
Juneau, Alaska - General Store - Inside
Slitor goes inside of the store, he looks to his right to see a fresh shipment of items come in. He looks around in the dark to see where the location of the black box is. Slitor gets a buzz from his communicator, he looks to see that it is Telegator is on the line. Telegator speaks to Slitor "the box is located in a hidden room. You'll have to find it in the store" Telegator says using the phone on his head. Lady Darcine watches the whole thing on screen. She eyes at everything that is going on from the camera being used by the communicator. Slitor looks around "what is this box? Why is this my job!" he asks Telegator. "You have invisibility Slitor! You have chameleon like powers to help steal the box!" Telegator says to him. "When will I have my sword battle? I have a mission!" Slitor asks, feeling annoyed by the idea. "You will get your battle after your first mission!" Lady Darcine barks. Slitor sees a door all the way to the back, it says "private" on the door. Slitor kicks the door open, the doorway reveals the room, it is an office. Slitor punches the wall out of anger "there is no box in there!" he yells angrily. "The radar does not lie!" responds Lady Darcine "it's in there somewhere…." she says to the swordsman. The swordsman looks around, all of a sudden, he hears a creek in the floorboards, he looks down to hear that creek. One of the floorboards is loose, he opens it up. The floorboards reveal a hidden underground room. Slitor jumps down, he sees that it is a cellar, it reveals some hidden cabinets, some secret files, and a safe. What catches Slitors eye is a secret box, he opens it up and there is another box, the black box. Slitor takes the black box. Lady Darcine gazes at the box from the screen, she is feeling excited. The front door opens, Slitor turns invisible. The Owner of the General Store comes inside, he forgets something, but sees the floorboards are taken open. The Manager hustles to his office, he takes out his shotgun "who's there?" he yells, getting ready to fire. The Manager points his shotgun to the basement "I know you're down there! Come on out NOW" he demands, pointing the shotgun towards the hole. He is getting ready to fire, until he hears a voice coming from the doorway "is everything alright?" It is his assistant. The manager gets startled, he fires his shotgun. BANG! The bullet goes straight through the window, missing the person standing in the doorway. The manager yells "you gotta stop doing that!" he lowers his shotgun. His assistant, feeling frightened, steps into the store slowly, trying to keep himself together "Pa, you gotta stop firing towards random people. What if that was a cop?" The manager calmly says to his assistant "first of all, you are not my son. Second, you could've been another gang trying to rob us again! I'm not going through this crap again."
Outside of the General Store
While the workers are still arguing, Slitor sneaks outside of the shop, he drops the bullet from his fingertips. He turns visible gazing at the box. He speaks into his communicator "I got the box, I'm heading back now" he teleports back to base.
Meanwhile….
Angel Grove High School - Cafeteria
Mr. Edwards stands next to the cafeteria monitors, he eyes Austin from afar. Austin is eating his burger, he is unable to take big bites without his keeper staring down at him. Beverly wants to wrap herself around Austin, but she is uncomfortable with Mr. Edwards looking right at her. "I can't even hold hands with him looking right at us…" Beverly says to her boyfriend. Austin is too busy trying to keep everything in, he is unable to look at anyone else. Jake comes walking by, he mocks Minh and Austin "hey you two. Good luck finding your location!" he laughs at the two while walking away from them. Minh gets upset with Jakes remark. Austin stands up, he faces Jake and yells "well atleast I'm not a crybaby from my Presidential Loss!" Jake stops and turns to Austin. Austin stares him down, Jake looks at Austin, they stare down until a monitor stops the two from doing anything that could go wrong. Austin and Jake walk away, Austin heads out of the cafeteria.
Angel Grove High School - Hallway
Austin walks outside of the cafeteria, he looks behind to see Mr. Edwards following him. Austin tries to lose him, but Mr. Edwards keeps up with him. Austin yells "leave me alone!" to Mr. Edwards. Mr. Edwards eyes Austin, "I can't do that, you have to stay in line!" he says trying to stay close to him.
The bell rings, students begin to walk to their destinations. Mr. Edwards is struggling to get through the hallway, due to the amount of students walking down, he tries to get a glimpse of Austin, but he's gone. All of a sudden, a few Tux Rucks appear in the hallway, they draw their staves. Students run screaming down the hallway, more and more Tux Rucks appear in different parts of the school. Students and Staff Members scatter from the Henchmen. Austin tries to find a place to morph, but all of the doors are locked. It seems that there are other students or teachers hiding in those rooms. Austin doesn't know if he should morph or not. Mr. Edwards jumps from the stairway, he is 15 feet away from Austin, he eyes Austin "Austin, now I have you!" he says, getting ready to grab him. Mr. Edwards is about to snatch Austin, until something hits Mr. Edwards, pushing him away. Mr. Edwards flies towards a garbage can. The invisible being turns visible, it is Slitor. Slitor eyes Austin getting ready to attack him.
Meanwhile
Angel Grove High School - Cafeteria
The rest of the four rangers fight off the Tux Rucks in the Cafeteria, in their civilian forms. Each and every one of them get knocked around, the rangers have the upper hand, but there are more and more Tux Rucks coming in of the cafeteria. "They won't stop coming, what's going on here?" asks Sav, feeling aggravated by the henchmen coming in. "I don't know. But we're gonna be exhausted if we don't do something" replies William. Minh looks around, there is nobody else in sight, she nods to the other rangers. The four push the last Tux Ruck back, they all look at the camera, Minh yells "It's Morphin Time!"
"Mastodon!"
"Pterodactyl!"
"Triceratops!"
"SaberTooth Tiger!"
The rangers are fully morphed, they take out their blade blasters and fire it towards each and every one of the foot soldiers. The rangers fire until there are no more of them left. They head out of the cafeteria. Minh directs the group "Sav, you and William take the second floor, Beverly and I will take the first and find Austin!" They all nod and say "Right" and go their separate ways. Beverly sees a few Tux Rucks, she fires her power bow towards them, her arrows split into two and three at every Tux Ruck they see. "Bullseye!" Beverly says after hitting each and every one of the Henchmen. Minh high fives Beverly, she says "you go girl!" showing how their relationship has developed throughout the year. Beverly smiles, "Let's give these guys a real education!" she says with amusement. The girls split up and run around the first floor.
Angel Grove High School - Hallway
Austin dodges Slitors moves, Slitor keeps swinging his sword towards him, Austin grabs an empty trash can and blocks Slitors blade, the can splits open. Slitor laughs, "You think that can stop me!" he says feeling amused. Austin chucks the piece of the trash can towards the swordsman, Slitor swings cutting the split can, Austin does a jump kick. He kicks the swordsman in the chest, knocking him towards the drinking fountain. Slitor is barely able to move. Austin goes inside of an open classroom, he looks around to make sure nobody is in the room. He faces the camera and yells "It's Morphin Time!"
"Tyrannosaurus!"
Austin is morphed into the Red Ranger, he takes out his power sword. The Chameleon Swordsman gets back up, getting ready to face the Red Ranger in a Duel. Mr. Edwards wakes up, he looks to see that the Red Ranger is facing Slitor in a Duel. They both draw their swords, they eye each other, they begin to charge. CLASH! Both of their blades clash into each other. Both the Red Ranger and Slitor face each other, they back away and keep swinging at each other blade to blade. They keep fighting while strolling through the hallway. Kids peek from their classroom doors, they watch an amazing duel between the two. Austin sees an open doorway on his right, he shifts the monster counter clockwise, he faces the doors, he kicks the monster out of the building. Slitor crashes through the doors and flies out of the school.
Angel Grove High School - Outside
Slitor flies out of the building from the Red Rangers kick, he hits a tree. The Red Ranger does a jump and flips, he swings his power sword towards the Monster. "Looks like you've been kicked out of school!" he says to Slitor. Slitor struggles to get up, he points his sword towards Red. Slitor turns invisible, the Red Ranger is thrown off. He looks around trying to find where the Chameleon has gone. The Red Ranger gets slashed in the back by the invisible swordsman. The Invisible Swordsman keeps slashing the Red Ranger. Slitor turns visible "can't attack me if you can't see me!" he says, teasing the Red Ranger. He turns Invisible again, he keeps slashing the Red Ranger. Austin tries to counter him, but Slitor is too invincible by his invisibility. The Remaining Rangers go to the doorway, they see that their fellow Red Ranger is in trouble. Austin stops them, "stop, he's invisible!" he says to warn the other rangers. Slitor sneaks behind him, Austin turns, but it is too late, he gets slashed by Slitor. Austin points his blade looking around for any movement. William comes up with an idea "wait!" he says, trying not to say Austins name in front of the school, "try listening for movement!" he advises the Red Ranger. Austin relaxes, he shuts his eyes, and listens to hear any footsteps. He listens to the wind, he listens to the quiet sound around him. There is a sudden sound of footsteps, he hears it coming from his left. As the sound gets closer Austin swings his blade and slashes the swordsman, Slitor is hit! Slitor turns visible, revealing a cut across his chest. Slitor turns invisible again, but the cut on his chest reveals him, remaining visible. "Red! Look at the cut, his chest is exposed!" Sav says, pointing out to Austin. Austin looks to see that there is a cut that is still visible. Slitor realizes the cut, he yells "no!" feeling exposed. Austin takes his power sword and charges it, the blade turns red, he slashes the swordsman and takes him down. Slitor is sliced and diced by Austin. Slitor is visible, feeling weakened, Austin slashes the monster with one final blow. Slitor falls and explodes. The students watching the whole thing cheer on the power rangers. They clap their hands cheering on the rangers.
While the rangers are being applauded, the armor plates on Slitor glow red. Smog pops out and seeps back into him. Slitor grows into a giant, getting ready to take down the rangers. He draws his sword, getting ready to strike down the city. Minh calls out to Alpha, she says "Alpha, we need Dinozord Power, Now!"
The Zords come out of their stations and move out towards the monster. The rangers teleport to their cockpits. Minh presses some buttons and says "megazord mode, activate!" the zords combine and transform into megazord mode Zyu2 style.
Grande Morevils Lair - Lab
Metallic Grant wakes up from his slumber, he wonders what just happened. He looks to see that his apprentice is giant and getting ready to battle the megazord. Grant freaks out, he wonders what happened after falling asleep. "What is this?" Metallic Grant yells, scaring Telegator. "Why is my apprentice already battling? I didn't even train him?" he yells, going over to the monitor. Telegator says "we needed him for our own mission!" he says to Grant. Metallic Grant freaks out "mission for what?!" he yells, locking eyes with the Gator. "Top Secret" Telegator says, feeling nervous.
Angel Grove - Open Land
Meanwhile, The Megazord takes out its Mega Power Sword. Both the Rangers and Slitor battle in a duel. Slitor turns invisible again, the Megazord is unable to find the monster. "He's gone!" said Sav. "Where could he be?" asks Beverly. The Invisible Swordsman slashes at the Megazord. "I believe right by us…" said Austin. William comes up with an idea "guys, I got an idea!" The rangers listen in on him "let's use fire punch, but let's keep the fist up in the air" he says, giving the rangers a confused look on their faces. "What do you mean by that?" Sav asks, wondering what William is talking about. William explains "He's a Chameleon, they usually use the sun to warm up in the morning, they provide a 95°F basking area" the rangers understand what William is saying. "Of course" Minh says in agreement, she follows up to what William said "Ideal temperatures for Veiled Chameleons range from 75-80°F on the cool side and 80-85°F on the warm side" she looks at the blue ranger "give us the rundown!" she says to him. William directs the rangers "Sav, activate the fire punch" he then looks at the pink ranger "Beverly, turn down the temperatures to 85°F" he then looks at Austin "Austin, raise the right fist up in the air, to attract the monster" William then activates fire punch on the left and raises it up in the air, turning the temperature to 75°F. They wait patiently, Slitor is drawn to the fire fists and goes over, he starts to turn visible. "Now!" commands William. The Megazord punches the Chameleon with one fist and strikes him with the other, knocking the swordsman down. Both fire punches take down the chameleon. "Nice shot, rangers!" yells Slitor, he takes his sword out and charges towards the megazord. The Megazord knocks the sword out of the chameleon's hand and punches him with its fire punch. The rangers finish off the monster using its Mega Power Sword, the sword charges and slashes at the monster, destroying him. The rangers celebrate with victory.
Grande Morevils Lair - Lab
Metallic Grant pushes some glass bottles off of the table aggressively, he is furious. He grabs Telegator by the nose and yells "if you let me train him, we would've destroyed those Rangers! He storms out of the room angrily. Telegator is unable to give Grant any information about why he needed Slitor for this mission.
Cut to the Cavern
Grande Morevils Lair - Cavern
Lady Darcine collects the black box, she and Clondurk take the robotic bodies over to the area where the Ghosts of the Phantom Thieves reside. Clondurk is having second thoughts about this whole ordeal. Lady Darcine smiles and places the bodies one by one, she takes the black box and places it there. Lady Darcine looks and wonders why this isn't working. "What is this? There should be a revival going on!" she yells angrily. Clondurk comes over to her, "I believe you have to say a ritual in order to revive them." Lady Darcine looks at Clondurk, "well, go on! Scan! Find what we need to do!" she commands the bot. Clondurk is unsure to do this, "it wants to scan, but doesn't want to revive. Clondurk has a bad feeling about the Phantom Thieves. One of the thieves flies over to Darcine, he has a green aura, he says to her "you must find the book!"
Clondurk looks around, making sure that neither Lady Darcine or any of the Phantom Thieves are watching him. He contacts Telegator, he asks "Telegator, do you have the trainee all set?"
Cut to the Prison Cell
Grande Morevils Lair - Prison Cell
A gray muscular being punches a metallic punching bag. It keeps beating the bag with a few dents into it. The being keeps punching until the metal bag breaks. The being falls to its knees with exhaustion. Telegator comes into the room, he says to the being "you ready to take down what was Zordons?" he says. The being stands, sweating with anger. It is about to respond, until it passes out with exhaustion. Telegator says to himself "I guess not, well not yet!" he smirks.
NOTE: In case you were wondering, yes this is the same statue from episode 8 right before the ending. This statue is still in training, but will it be actually against the Power Rangers? Or Lady Darcines plan?
Angel Grove Youth Center - Juice Bar
Minh, Austin, Kyle, Sally, and Caroline all show up to the juice bar after school. Kyle asks "what do you think Fran wants with us?" feeling curious. Sally shrugs her shoulders "maybe he found an alternative date for us" she says feeling confused. Fran comes out of the back room and sees the group "ah, there you guys are" he says to them. He then looks at the class officers with a guilty look on his face "I'm sorry about earlier, it seems that there was a mix up" he says feeling apologetic. "I knew it!" yells Sally, feeling excited. "Sally, take a chill pill," said Minh. She then looks at Fran wondering what he means by this "what is the mix up about?" Minh asks. Fran takes out an old cassette tape, he says to the group "this is what happened" he plays it on the screen of the TV. The tape shows a familiar looking person sneaking into the office, he wipes off the class pancake breakfast off of the dry erase calendar. He instead writes "Drama Club Pancake Breakfast" on it and replaces the class form with his form. The culprit is Jake Romano of the Drama Club. Everyone gasps in horror. Fran looks at the group "it seems that you did have the form turned in. It was just replaced by someone else who has a problem with you all" Fran says to them. Sally yells "I knew it!" causing the whole bar to go a little silent. "You did not" said Kyle. Minh is annoyed by Jake "I should've known…. Jake has had out with me since the 8th Grade Class Election" she explains to Fran. Fran puts two and two together "oh, that's why he did that. Well, he is no longer welcome here. I will let the school know about this" he says to the class officers. Austin asks "does this mean we are reserved for Saturday?" feeling curious. Fran responds "it sure does!" The class officers celebrate.
Cut to Saturday
Angel Grove Youth Center - Juice Bar
The Sophomore Class of Angel Grove have their pancake breakfast. The Officers are proud to see other students, including older students, middle school kids, and community members are attending. Sav, William, Beverly, Caroline (Kyles Girlfriend), and Joey (from episode 4) are all volunteering.
Austin sees his parents eating at a table, he goes over to them "Mom, Dad, I wanna apologize about being out and scaring you. I didn't mean to make you think I was doing something illegal. I just wanted to go out and get involved" he is about to say more until Austins dad cuts him off "it's okay, I got a call from Minhs Uncle Zack, he says you were helping him and Billy out?" he asks his son. Austin is confused but then lies "yes. I was helping Mr. Cranston and the Mayor out" he says. Austins Mom says to him "we're sorry we overreacted. Your Teacher was just concerned about you. He thought there was something going on…" Austin says to his mother "it's okay mom, I'm fine. I'm just trying to have a duel with school and other activities. You guys did say I needed to get more involved with other activities outside of school." His parents smile at him, his dad says "yes, I did want you to get involved. Sometimes competing for the spot as Mr. Cranstons Intern can be a battle" he says in amusement. "You don't know the feeling," says Austin. He and his parents laugh.
Joey comes over to Sav "yo Sav, this is a good idea to volunteer. We do hope to go to Myrtle Beach for Senior Year!" he says to his longtime buddy. Sav nods "yes we do. Go help bust that table so we can have more people sit there." Joey nods and hustles over. Beverly looks at Sav in disbelief "you told him that?" she asks him. Sav says "hey, we need more help and we got that help." William comes in with a load of plates, he sets them on the counter almost knocking them over "man, there's so many people… I don't know if we can get more tables cleared.." he says with exhaustion. Minh is concerned "yeah, I think we invited too many people to this event" she says. "But we can't leave our booth…" Kyle says, trying to keep himself together. "And Sally is the only one escorting people to their tables" Minh says, keeping the cashbox with her. A few kids from the drama club come over, one kid comes over to the counter, his name is Bruce "hey, we're sorry about what happened, we didn't think Jake would do that. Hope you can forgive us?" he asks, feeling guilty. Minh looks at the kids, "are you sure you're not acting?" she says, feeling suspicious. The other kid responds, her name is Taylor "No, we are not acting. We just feel awful that Jake did that to you." Caroline eyes the group "I don't know, you are pretty tricky…" The Vice President of the Drama Club, Kaeden, says to the group "No, we're not. We kicked Jake out of the group. We're very sorry, do you mind if we help?" he asks, wanting to make up for the problem. Kyle looks at them "well, five of the eight are in our grade, we'll allow it!" Three drama kids pay and donate some extra money to the class. Five Sophomore Drama kids help out with the pancake breakfast.
Billy, Zack, Shelly, and Rocky all sit at their table. Rocky isn't eating his pancakes. Billy gets concerned "what's up Rocky? You haven't touched your food?" he asks while looking at the soaked up pancakes with maple syrup seeping into them. Rocky responds "it's Kelly… she was supposed to come today, but she didn't show up?" Zack responds "maybe she forgot" he says. Rocky is feeling bummed out "She hasn't been responding for days…. I tried to call her but she hasn't responded." Billy follows up with what Rocky has said "now that I think about it, she hasn't showed up to work lately… not even when I was out on my business trip" he says. Shelly is worried "do you think Kelly is okay?" she asks Rocky. Rocky responds "I don't know? I knocked on her door and she hasn't responded at all. I tried the key, but she must've changed the locks…" all four of them sit feeling worried.
SPA Headquarters - Base
Adam scans through the data, he looks to see that everything is in order. Alpha 6 (with his voice box finally fixed) tells Adam about the messages he got "Adam, you have few new messages from SPD Headquarters." Adam nods to his assistant "thank you Alpha" Alpha 6 leaves the room to help with Aisha. Adam checks the database for some messages, he gets a response from the SPD Headquarters on the planet KuKall [CU-KAL], he finds out that the symbol that Austin was talking about is from a blown up planet, the planet Dusklin [Dus-KHLEN]. "No way… that planet was blown up?" Adam says in disbelief.
