Chapter Two-hundred and fifty-eight: Wake the wise wolves, part two
The reborn trainers and the other heroes were at the top of the tower in Hammerlocke where Team Scorn was up to their evil. Ayane had just captured the legendary Pokémon Eternatus and was preparing to use it to strike at Dawn and the others, but Dawn pulled out the Rusted Sword and Trip pulled out the Rusted Shield, and their glowing summoned Zacian and Zamazenta to the tower summit. They took possession of their respective artifacts, Zacian the Rusted Sword and Zamazenta the Rusted Shield. They assumed their Crowned Sword and Crowned Shield forms, then turned to face Ayane's Eternatus.
The wise wolves looked back to the heroes, Dawn and Trip particularly. They gave the Berlitz siblings knowing, confident looks, before turning back around to face off against Eternatus. They both howled loudly at the vast dragon before them. The mere presence of Zacian and Zamazenta was emboldening the rest of the heroes, some more than the others. As for Ayane and all of her followers in Team Scorn, they looked nervous to see the arrival of two obviously very powerful legendary Pokémon who could potentially even stand up to the mighty beast the Assistant of Team Scorn's Boss had just captured.
As for the Boss's Assistant herself, she scoffed bitterly in annoyance. "So you guys got some wild Pokémon to rush to your aid to help you out. A fat load of good that will be doing for you! I'm not sure if you noticed it, but Eternatus is vastly larger than any other Pokémon here, and it's got the power to back it up!" Ayane gestured forward by pointing the head of her Mage's Staff at Zacian. "Eternatus, use Dynamax Cannon on the Pokémon with the sword!"
Eternatus charged up its mighty attack and fired it right at Zacian, who simply stood there and took the blow. However, to the amazed relief of many of the heroes there (the reborn trainers were more relaxed as they knew no harm would come), Zacian was wholly unaffected by Dynamax Cannon. "Eternatus's attack had no effect on the Pokémon with the sword?" Ayane said. Scowling, Ayane said, "Dynamax Cannon is a dragon type move, so the sword Pokémon has got to be at least part fairy type." Gesturing forward, Ayane called out, "Eternatus, strike both the sword Pokémon and the shield Pokémon with Sludge Wave!"
Eternatus charged up and spewed its Sludge Wave attack as Zacian and Zamazenta, who both charged at the attack while using Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash. The Sludge Wave hit both Zacian and Zamazenta, but it had no effect on either wise wolf, allowing them to rush through the poison and strike Eternatus with the double attack force of Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash. Eternatus, the great vile dragon that it was, cried out in pained surprise as the efforts of Zacian and Zamazaneta threw it back, making it hit the tower hard with a wracking force.
As Zacian and Zamazenta landed back with the heroes, Dawn eyed Ayane evenly. "You were saying?" asked Dawn knowingly.
Ayane scowled, but stopped short when the whole of the tower began to shake. Alarmed, Oleana took out a touch pad and used it to pul up some sort of screen that gave intel on the tower. "...Parts of the tower's structure have been compromised!" Oleana exclaimed, "The tower is going to collapse! I estimate we have at most half an our to escape and clear as many people away as possible before it collapses!"
Everyone looked surprised to hear that the tower was going to collapse, and many began to panic. Seeing Eternatus was able to pick itself back up, Ayane let out a bit of a relieved sigh. "Everyone, we're bailing out!" Ayane called to her fellows in Team Scorn, "We accomplished our goal for this mission anyway, so there's no further point to us hanging around!" Given that everyone had to escape before the tower could collapse, it was agreed everyone should just focus on escaping from the tower summit. Oleana sent word to everyone inside of the tower to evacuate while the trainers atop of the tower, heroes and Team Scorn alike, flew off.
Eternatus was big enough so that all of the present Team Scorn members could just ride it away. Leon got on his Charizard, Ash and Mina got on their Dragonites, Goh got on his Flygon, and Dawn, Trip, and Kenny respectively got on Tsukune, Deelia, and Black. Dawn gave Sonia a ride on Tsukune, and Black wrapped its lower most tendril like wings around Rose and Oleana to pick them up as it, Kenny, and the rest of the heroes flew off of the tower, all of them landing on the ground safely. As they all landed, they saw the tower quiver with signs it was going to collapse.
People who were inside of the tower were all running out as Zacian and Zamazenta landed on the ground near the reborn trainers. After a few minutes, Oleana as she looked at her pad said, "Good! I have confirmation that no-one is inside of the tower!"
"So what to we do to keep it from collapsing?" Dawn asked.
Gently shaking her head, Oleana said, "We actually can't keep it from collapsing." The reborn trainers, plus Ash and Goh, huddled around as Oleana showed them what was on her pad; an electronic image of the tower. "See everything above this line starting above that dark blue box?" Oleana said as she indicated on the image of the tower on her pad what she was talking about, "Yeah, everything above that line is compromised. Everything below it is still stable, but were still talking about a good fifty percent of the tower is going to fall over, causing untold damage."
Looking at the image, Dawn said, "What if we can move the compromised part of the tower out of the way before it can collapse?"
"You would need an utterly absurd amount of power to do that," Oleana said, "And it's not like we can throw Galar Particals at the problem to make it go away!"
"How much time is left before the tower collapses?" Trip asked.
Looking at her pad, Oleana said, "Fifteen minutes. But why-"
"There's a Pokémon Center right over there," Trip said, "Just give Dawn, Kenny, and I about five minutes!" Oleana, as well as most everyone else, was confused as they saw Trip lead Dawn and Kenny over to the indicated Pokémon Center. A few minutes later, the three reborn trainers came back out, and as it turned out Trip brought Dawn and Kenny along to rotate into their parties as many of their strongest Pokémon that they had. This included many major legendaries, including those capable of flying and those who have some degree of psychic power.
The compromised portion of the tower was removed by the legendary Pokémon and quickly flown over to an empty field just outside of Hammerlocke. The tower portion was thrown onto the ground, making things quake a bit, but the important thing was that the tower was prevented from collapsing in Hammerlocke, and no-one was seriously hurt or worse. Some of the major legendary Pokémon were winded, but their work was done, and they received no shortage of praise for their efforts in helping to save Hammerlocke from catastrophe.
"You guys..." Leon said to the reborn trainers, as well as Ash and Goh, outside of the Pokémon Center as the legendary Pokémon of Dawn, Trip, and Kenny were rested, "...You all had done so much to save not just Hammerlocke, but all of Galar. There's no way that you can be thanked enough."
"Yeah, I got the details from Sonia," Raihan spoke up as he walked over, catching Leon's attention, "You guys reportedly took a compromised portion of the tower here in Hammerlocke, and estimated fifty percent of the whole thing, and basically just flung it into a field outside of the city, preventing any fatalities. It would seem that the lot of you will go down in Galar history as new heroes of the region."
Looking to the reborn trainers, Goh said, "You all were amazing, especially Dawn, Kenny, and Trip! Those big Pokémon you have are all awesome! Oh Dawn, I saw that five of them were under your control. That just leaves the sixth and final Pokémon in your party being a lazy bum while the others were working hard."
"It's Chi-Chi and there wouldn't have been much she could have done," Dawn said. That, of course, was actually a lie; not the part where Dawn's named Infernape could not have done much, because there really wasn't much Chi-Chi could have done in the situation. The part that's a lie is Dawn having Chi-Chi on hand; she actually had rotated Chi-Chi out of her party to move in her named Groudon Kurumu. The only Pokémon in Dawn's party that was there before she rotated in so many of her big legendaries is Froot Loop, her named Mew. The only persons aware that Dawn had Mew were herself, Kenny, and Trip; not even Professor Oak knew that Dawn had the supposed ancestor of all Pokémon in her party.
The reborn trainers agreed that it would be for the best to keep Dawn having Froot Loop a secret, at least until they learned more about the Project Mew business that was bound to be starting up really soon. None of the reborn trainers ever saw how things there ended in the anime in their previous life, so they had no idea if it was a benevolent party truly wanting only to learn more information, or if there were sinister secrets laying beneath the surface. As such, not even Professor Oak could be trusted with the knowledge of Dawn having Froot Loop, not until after the reborn trainers learn the true nature of Project Mew. Froot Loop was never sent out, it was never seen. And it was going to stay that way until Dawn knew things would be safe.
As things there settled down, Leon said, "Well although worse damage had been prevented and everyone's still alive, there's still the fact that Team Scorn not only got away, but their organization's second-in-command had captured Eternatus. The catastrophic potential of such a Pokémon..." Gently shaking his head, Leon went on, "It's clear that Team Scorn's overall threat level had just gone up significantly. That said, the regions of the world will be counting on Dawn, Kenny, and Trip more than ever, as they're the only ones with Pokémon capable of combating Eternatus."
Goh nodded in agreement. "Yeah, there's that Palkia thing of Dawn's, and a lot of the other big Pokémon who helped with moving the damaged part of the tower out of Hammerlocke also look similarly as powerful."
"But what about Zacian and Zamazenta?" Sonia asked, making everyone turn to see where Zacian and Zamazenta, both back in their base forms, were sitting up at attention, looking at the reborn trainers. "They're the ones described in Galar lore as standing up to Eternatus," Sonia said, "They'll be needed if Team Scorn is going to be making use of Eterna-"
Sonia was cut off when a Nurse Joy came out of the nearby Pokémon Center. She presented the heroes with their Pokémon who were being rested. "Your heroic Pokémon are all back to peek form," Nurse Joy said, "They were ready for a bit but... but I'm sorry, I just couldn't help but marvel as such heroes who had worked to save Hammerlocke from total catastrophe!"
As the heroes collected their respective Pokémon, Zacian and Zamazenta got up and walked up to the reborn trainers. Zacian poked its nose into Dawn while Zamazanta did the same with Trip. The two wise wolves then turned to walk off in separate directions, aiming to go to clearings. They paused to look back to see if they were being followed, the looks in their eyes making it clear they were expecting to be followed. "...I believe that Zacian and Zamazenta wish to test Dawn and Trip respectively," Ash said, "They must want to battle them."
"Can I battle one of them instead?" Goh asked, "It'd be really awesome if I could-" Goh was cut off when a trash can flew into him, hitting him in the back while Zamazenta suspiciously turned its head away as it continued to walk away while occasionally looking back at Trip. Eventually getting the idea, Trip followed along after Zamazenta, with Kenny and Mina following along behind. Similarly, Dawn followed after Zacian while Ash and Goh (who was trying to rub what parts of his back he was able to reach) followed after Dawn.
The Berlitz siblings were going to be tested by the wise wolves.
...
When Dawn and her group reached an open field in Hammerlocke, Zacian turned around and stood in front of Dawn a distance away, ready to battle as soon as Dawn was. Dawn knew better than to waste words, so she began by tossing up a Master Ball. "Alright, Tsukune! Let's get goin'!" Dawn called out as she sent in her named Palkia. The Spatial Pokémon gave a skyward roar as it flew up, and right away Zacian was on the attack with Psycho Cut. However, Palkia was quicker, no doubt due to having been trained by Dawn for so long; it also had a distance advantage.
"Tsukune, use Flamethrower!" Dawn called out. Tsukune took aim and fired a blasting breath of Flamethrower at Zacian, striking it and even inflicting a burn. That burn on Zacian came in handy as it nerfed the damage its physical attacks did, allowing Zacian to take the Psycho Cut more easily. As Zacian flinched in pain from the burn it got, Dawn swapped Tsukune out of the battle. "Alright, Ruby! Let's get goin'!" Dawn said as she sent out her named Reshiram. Pointing forward, Dawn called out, "Ruby, use Earth Power!"
The Vast White Pokémon made the ground beneath Zacian erupt with power, exploding into the Crowned Sword and causing more damage. But the wise wolf was not done yet, and it rushed at Ruby, striking it with Behemoth Blade. The burn that Zacian was suffering from, plus using a steel move on a partial fire type whose secondary typing doesn't compromise its steel resistance, meant that even Zacian's strongest attack didn't do all that much to the named Reshiram, who flew backwards and then up a bit to get some distance from Zacian.
"Ruby, use Fusion Flare!" Dawn called out, prompting Ruby to conjure a gigantic sphere of fire that it cast down right at Zacian, striking it and making it howl in pain as it was wracked by the powerful fire type attack. When the dust settled, Zacian was seen rushing through the remainder of the dust and struck Ruby with Sacred Sword, hurting Ruby some but not enough due to the burn. Speaking of, Zacian's burn pained it again and made the wise wolf kneel, panting out of pain and exhaustion. As for Ruby, it was more than a tad winded, but doing better than Zacian.
While Dawn was commanding her legendary dragons, Ash and Goh stood by, watching on in wonder. "Wow," Goh said, "So this is the power of the girl who became the Champion of Sinnoh."
"Yeah, I'm hoping that I get to battle Dawn at some point in the World Coronation Series," Ash admitted.
Over at the battle, Dawn was ready to call for Ruby to attack, but Zacian indicated that it was done. It looked at Dawn, gave her a single nod of approval. That told Dawn that she had passed whatever test Zacian had for her. At that prompting, Dawn took out one of the spare Master Balls that she got from the Pokéball Factory in Kalos, expanded it, then threw it at Zacian while calling out, "Go Master Ball!" The ultimate model of Pokéball flew at Zacian, bumped into it, took it inside, then landed on the ground and shook a few times before making a ping sound, indicating capture.
As Dawn went to retrieve the ball that held her newly caught Zacian, Goh said, "Wait, why would Zacian let you capture it?"
"I think it has to do with how Team Scorn captured Eternatus and they're going to be hopping from region to region," Ash remarked, "Zacian probably knows that, and it may not be able to leave Galar on its own."
Dawn picked up the ball holding Zacian, scanned it with her Pokédex. Zacian was genderless, had a jolly nature, and the Intrepid Sword ability. Dawn also had the perfect name in mind for Zacian; it was the same name as the wife of a certain Odinson, although another wolf wielding swords with its mouth also had that name. But Dawn was going with the version for the aforementioned wife of an Odinson. "I'm going to name you Sif," Dawn said to the ball that held her Zacian. After the now dubbed Sif had been named, the ball holding it was sent to Oak's lab.
After Sif's ball was sent to Oak's lab, Dawn said, "Well now, I hope Trip's having a similarly easy time with Zama-"
"Hey, it's raining suddenly," Goh said as he held his hand out; indeed, it was now raining rather heavily, and that clued Dawn into what Trip might be up to in his bid to pass whatever test Zamazenta had for him.
...
"Cameron, use Thunder!" Trip called out as he battled Zamazenta using his named Kyogre Cameron. The mighty leviathan conjured and cast a powerful, wicked bolt of lightning that, as it was raining, had pinpoint accuracy. The wicked bolt struck Zamazenta and even paralyzed it, which would make capturing the wise wolf a hell of a lot easier for Trip.
But the Crowned Shield was not going to give up so easily. Fighting through paralysis, Zamazenta was able to strike Cameron with Behemoth Bash, but it didn't do much as, being a pure water type, Cameron resisted steel attacks. "Cameron, use Surf!" Trip called out.
Cameron conjured a large wave of water that it rode up to and crash down onto Zamazenta, striking it and bringing the pain. As Trip battled against Zamazenta, Kenny and Mina who stood along the side were looking on in amazement. "Hot damn!" Mina exclaimed, "Is this really what you, Trip, and Dawn are capable of doing?" Mina asked as she turned to look at Kenny.
"Mina, sweetness," Kenny said, "We've done even crazier things before we were able to add you to the companionship! Hell, some of what we did in Alola where we met you can out-crazy what all Trip is doing right n-"
"Cameron, use Surf!" Trip called out, cutting Kenny off and making him and Mina turn back to see the named Kyogre conjure and ride another wave into Zamazenta, crashing the wave down onto it. After Zamazenta picked itself back up from taking that hit, it shook off some of the water slowly as it was still suffering from paralysis. After that, it let out a tired huff before kneeling down out of exhaustion, giving Trip an approving look. Seeing that as his opportunity, Trip took out one of the Master Balls he got from the Pokéball Factory in Kalos and used it to capture Zamazenta.
Trip then went to collect the ball holding his new Zamazenta. "My guess is that Zamazenta wants to come along as we're going to be going after Team Scorn," Trip said to Kenny and Mina while scanning Zamazenta's ball with his Pokédex, "And by that extension we're also going after Eternatus."
Kenny arched a wry eyebrow. "It wants to continue fighting its eternal rival."
Nodding once in the affirmative as he put his Pokédex away, Trip said, "Exactly, Kenny. Anyway, Zamazenta here is going to be named Rogers. Given it's got a strong shield vibe going, I feel that the name Rogers fits it perfectly." Abter the ball containing the now dubbed Rogers went to Oak's lab, Trip said, "Anywho, let's go meet up with Dawn's group and see how things with Zacian went." Kenny and Mina nodded in agreement, and together with Trip the three of them went to go meet back up with Dawn, Ash, and Goh.
Sonia and Leon were surprised to learn that not only did Dawn capture Zacian, but Trip caught Zamazenta. This upped the odds that the side of the heroes had against Team Scorn who now had Eternatus at their beck and call. Also, Leon admitted that he was holding himself back to keep from frothing at the mouth in excitement that someone had such powerful Pokémon, exciting him and spurring on his desire to battle. But given the chaos of the day, not to mention how emergency repair crews were sent to the still standing portion of the tower while another such crew went to where the removed tower half was dropped outside of town, everyone agreed that it was for the best to just rest and relax the rest of the night.
Rose and Oleana were, sadly, both arrested for their role in awakening Eternatus and helping Team Scorn. Granted, it was proven that they were only acting under Team Scorn due to coercion, but it didn't help their case when Rose admitted he was planning to awaken Eternatus on his own for his own plans; it was just that Team Scorn stepped in and shanghaied everything for their own ends. Still, Rose was able to arrange from jail for the heroes to be treated to a celebratory feast, a fest that Ash and (especially) Goh enjoyed immensely.
By the time of that feast, Dawn, Kenny, and Trip were able to rotate their parties around again, after Dawn and Trip had their Pokémon who battled time to rest. Dawn had Chi-Chi back in her party, kept Tsukune and Froot Loop in, and added in Germany, Tambourine, and the newly caught Sif. As for Trip, his party now consisted of Myde, Deelia, the recently caught Rogers, Fourze, Space Kitta, and Mr. Popo. As a side-note, Dawn and the other reborn trainers were still maintaining keeping Dawn's ownership of Froot Loop a complete and total secret, at least until they were able to verify the true aims of Project Mew.
But more on that serious business later. For now, the heroes were feasting, during which Trip got Kenny and Mina to join him in singing a song he came up with during the feast. "When Captain Zamazenta throws his mighty face," Trip, Kenny, and Mina sang, "All those who oppose his face will learn their place! If it comes to a fight and a battle's due, then you can count on the wolf with the ponytail of blue, when Captain Zamazenta throws his mighty face!" Everyone at the table cheered, even the more typically reserved Dawn. Ash, Goh, and even Leon laughed in good mirth at the song.
And so the feasting went, and during that time, all of the troubles in the world seemed to be another world away. But the heroes knew better than to think that all of the troubles they had to deal with will stay away forever. They knew that Team Scorn was going to be getting up to more business, even more so now given that Ayane had captured Eternatus, and there was no doubt that the right hand girl of the Boss of Team Scorn would be able to put a Pokémon that big and that powerful to work, Ayane would undoubtedly use Eternatus to terrible effect.
But the heroes now had Zacian and Zamazenta and, if Ayane's apparent lack of working with Reshiram when she had it was any indication, she similarly won't do any real training with Eternatus. As for Dawn and Trip, they planned to do serious training with Sif and Rogers. The three legendary Pokémon were roughly untrained when they fought at the top of the now ruined tower, and even then Zacian and Zamazenta showed great strength. Just imagine what Sif and Rogers will be able to do after Dawn and Trip has them trained up properly.
Just what other surprises are in store for the reborn trainers?
...
It was nighttime, and Dawn awoke suddenly to find herself floating in a blank dark space. Floating with her were Kenny and Trip. "The hell's going on?" Dawn asked.
"I dunno, but this feels oddly familiar to me," Trip replied.
Suddenly, a blinding flash caught the attention of the three reborn trainers, and when the light simmered down a giant stone table was seen floating before them. It resembled a giant smartphone that had an Arceus themed case. "Mighty trainers," a voice boomed from the Arceus smartphone tablet, "You have done well to stand up to the threats that threaten your world. But the threats are far from finished, and you all have yet to see the worst of the threats."
Dawn, Kenny, and Trip were surprised by what was going on; a stone table resembling an Arceus themed smartphone was telling them that they're doing well, but it warned them that the threats they've faced not only haven't stopped yet, but will be getting worse. "Is there anything that you would have us do," Kenny began as he gestured to the stone table, "Oh great and mighty magic smartphone stone tablet?"
"You three must gather between yourselves a number of keys," the voice coming from the tablet said, "Once all of the keys have been gathered, the ultimate key will be provided to you. With the ultimate key, you shall be able to access a power so great, it will make even city wrecking threats look like mere child's play. The great power hidden away behind the ultimate key will let you stop even region wrecking threats."
Dawn and the boys were surprised now; the voice from the table citing 'city wrecking threats' was probably referencing the chaos that Team Scorn did in Lumiose City, Kalos. The total devastation there was terrible, that much cannot be denied. But then the stone table spoke of threats that can wreck entire regions. Is... is Team Scorn going to end up wrecking an entire region if they aren't stopped beforehand? Obviously, this stone table is some sort of power that does not want that to happen, and is planning to charge Dawn and the boys with the task of gathering what's needed to prevent Team Scorn from taking out an entire region.
"So what are the keys we need to collect to get the ultimate key?" Dawn asked.
"Luckily for the three of you," the stone table began, "You already have between the three of you many of the keys. The keys in total are Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Heatran, Regigigas, Giratina, Cresselia, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, and Shaymin. Once you three have gathered all of those keys between the three of you, return to where your path began, the ultimate key will be waiting there for you."
"Wait, the keys to get the ultimate key are the legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh?" Kenny asked, "Also, we aren't going to lose those Pokémon once we get the ultimate key, are we? Because I ain't in the mood to lose having Black."
"The keys to get the ultimate key shall remain with you three for good," the voice from the stone tablet assured Kenny, "It's their presence all together that will summon the ultimate key. And your quest to collect all of the keys to unlock the ultimate key will not be too difficult as you three have between the three of you many of the keys already." The voice was right; Dawn did a quick bit of thinking and realized that, if they did what the stone table was saying, then all they had to do was between them catch Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Heatran, Regigigas, Cresselia, and Phione.
Even so, such a task was not going to be easy, even more so as Dawn realized that Pyramid King Brandon had already captured Regigigas. He may have to be bargained with if Regigigas was to be obtained. There was also how, in the games in the reborn trainers' previous lives, Mesprit is a roaming legendary, meaning it may have to be chased all over Sinnoh before capture. Regardless, if it what was had to be done to save the world from Team Scorn unleashing a region-wrecking threat, then Dawn and the boys were willing to do it.
...
Dawn woke with a start in the bunk room she, the other reborn trainers, and Ash and Goh were all sleeping in. As Dawn climbed down from her bunk, she saw Kenny and Trip get up as well. "...You guys remember the dream you had?" Dawn asked, a hint of knowing in both her tone and expression.
"Where a magic stone table looking like a smartphone in an Arceus themed phonecase charged us with collecting all of the legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh?" Kenny asked, then after both Dawn and Trip nodded in the affirmative, Kenny said, "Yeah, I remember."
"We'll have to go back home to Sinnoh," Trip said, "And luckily for us we only have the Lake Trio plus Heatran, Regigigas, Cresselia, and Phione to capture." Smirking a bit in amusement, Trip said, "I'm kinda wanting to call dibs on capturing Heatran."
That didn't surprise Dawn; Trip was always fond of steel type Pokémon. Dawn and the others had to wait for Mina, Ash, and Goh to wake up before they can tell them what was going on, what they were going to have to do.
...
Later that morning during breakfast, Dawn, Kenny, and Trip were able to discuss with Ash, Goh, and Mina the shared dream that they had, and how they feel they need to go to Sinnoh to track down and capture the remaining legendary and mythical Pokémon of that region that they haven't captured yet. "Sounds like you guys have a lot on your plate," Goh said, "Having to capture so many rare Pokémon. Makes my goal of finding and catching Mew look like child's play."
Dawn nodded once, not giving any hints that Goh's goal was literally within reach of him right at this very moment. "It may take us a while," Dawn said, "And no doubt that me being in the Ultra Class of the current season of the World Coronation Series may require us to divert. But if the shared dream that Kenny, Trip, and I had last night is true, and there really is a region-wrecking threat looming on the horizon, then we have to get this done."
Pointing at Dawn, Mina said, "You, Kenny, and Trip already have between you guys a lot of the necessary Pokémon. You just need to nab Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Regigigas, Heatran, Cresselia, and Phione." Smiling in amusement, Mina said, "And of course I'll come along for the ride."
"Good luck you guys," Ash said, "I get the feeling that the whole world will be needing all the luck it can get right now." The reborn trainers nodded once in thanks. After breakfast, the reborn trainers broke away from Ash and Goh. The chaos in Galar is settled for now, but Dawn and the rest of her group had more laying ahead of them, especially if they were to stem off a potential region wrecking threat looming on the horizon.
END, CHAPTER TWO-HUNDRED AND FIFTY-EIGHT
Author's notes;
This chapter sees the chaos for the Sword and Shield mini-arc wrap up, with the tower everyone was fighting on being compromised. But the quick thinking and acting of the reborn trainers sees the compromised part of the tower safely dumped in a field outside of Hammerlocke, preventing further tragedy as well as seeing zero fatalities. Dawn and Trip are even able to capture Zacian and Zamazenta respectively afterwards, and the heroes are all treated to a feast to honor them. But not all is well, as not only did Team Scorn get away, but Ayane now had Eternatus answering to her.
More worrying is the implications from a shared dream that Dawn, Kenny, and Trip have, signifying that there's a potential region-wrecking threat looming on the horizon in the future. In the shared dream, a stone table looking like a smartphone in an Arceus themed case charges Dawn and the boys with capturing all of the legendary and mythical Pokémon of Sinnoh, citing how those legendaries and mythicals are 'keys' that will bring to them an 'ultimate key' that will let them access a power that will be of great help when it comes to dealing with the potentially region-wrecking threat.
Luckily for the reborn trainers, they already have many of the specific Pokémon that they need to capture (see, I told you that there was going to be a very good reason why Trip getting Manaphy was so important; same applies to Dawn catching Shaymin back in Alola). But the reborn trainers don't have all of the 'keys' yet, and some will be harder than the others to get. The next couple of chapters will focus on Dawn, Kenny, and Trip trying to get as many of the Sinnoh legendaries and mythicals as they can, so that they can get a hold of the 'ultimate key' and use it to get the power needed to help stop region-wrecking threats.
There will be ups and downs in this quest of theirs, and Dawn will even see an Ultra Rank battle or two before things come to a head. Things will be returning to Sinnoh in the next chapter, but until then take care.
