Disco slammed his mallet excitedly.

"Entry number 15, the beautiful dancer Pasha! It's incredible!" he said as the poor girl burst into tears. "Her starting price, starting at 800,000 gil, has skyrocketed to the winning bid of 7.2 million gil!"

At the same time, the ugly-looking Celestial Dragon had finally reached the auction house.

"I finally arrived," he said, hopping off his slave. "It's about time."

His aide opened the door, and they stepped inside.

"Things are really starting to get fired up. So let's keep the show moving," said Disco. "Feast your eyes upon the next piece of merchandise!"

"What a relief. Sounds like it's still going," said the Celestial Dragon.

"While that may be true, sir, I believe I heard him just say that they're on entry number 15, which means the auction is almost over," his aide informed him.

"Because of this oaf so long getting here," he grumbled at his slave and kicked him in the face until he collapsed. "Useless! Useless! Put this one up for sale; I don't need it any more."

"I'll make the arrangements at once."

"A Celestial Dragon," Chopper noted.

"Another one, huh?" said Astrid. "Lots of nobility here."

"And a Navy Admiral will come running to the rescue if we defy one of them," said Ragnar.

"What I really want to buy is a mermaid," said the Celestial Dragon as he picked his nose. "I do hope they have one this time."

"Merfolk are a notoriously difficult species to capture, so I think you may leave here disappointed yet again," said his aide.

One of the auction employees quickly rushed over to the Celestial Dragon and immediately went down on his hands and knees.

"Saint Charlie, what a surprise," he said.

"Yes, I'm sure it is," said Saint Charlie. "Take me to my seat."

"Of course, right away!"

They then watched the celestial Dragon being taken to the VIP seats.

"Watch your step, sir."

As he made his way down the steps, everyone in the audience quickly looked away and remained silent.

"Look away."

"I see my brother is here," said Saint Shari. "Well, better late than never."

Once Saint Charlie reached the VIP seats, he immediately sat beside his father.

A moment later, being dragged onto the stage, was a pirate captain who was reluctant to go on stage.

"Come on, buddy, you're next," said the slaver, pulling on the chain around his neck.

"Now, let's resume, shall we?" said Disco. "I present to you entry number 16. Oh my, the captain of a pirate ship."

"A captain?" said Saint Oswald, looking intrigued.

The crowd immediately cheered loudly.

"Feast your eyes on this one!" said Disco. "With a bounty of 70 million Gil, it is Captain Le Cuba. He's an insightful strategist, but don't let that fool you. He's in great physical shape as well. You can use the guide or a horse as manual labour or a punching bag. The possibilities are endless!"

The crowd immediately burst out laughing.

"Now then, let's begin—"

However, before Disco could continue, Cuba suddenly collapsed, and blood poured out of his mouth.

Disco stared stunned. "Did he just… Oh no."

"He passed out!"

"What's going on down there?"

"I-I think I saw blood!"

Disco turned to his employees. "Shut the curtains, hurry!"

His men followed his orders and threw the curtains back, leaving the crowd stunned by what had happened.

"What happened? I couldn't tell," Fishlegs asked.

"He bit off his tongue," said Ragnar. "He decided that he would rather die than live as someone's pet. He saw no other way out than to take his own life."

"In this case, that could be the smart choice," Ragnar nodded.

"Camie no!" Pappagu cried.

"Where's the mermaid already?" Eret asked.

"Camie must be so scared," said Chopper. "This is awful."

Astrid clenched her fist. "Just hang on a little longer. No matter what happens, we will save her. It's a good thing we got all that treasure from Breakneck Bog."

"Thank you all so much for everything," said Pappagu.

Backstage, Disco was furious by what just happened.

"No good, sir," said one of his men as he examined Cuba.

"Dammit all!" Disco cursed. "Now, I'm not going to make one Gil out of you. You idiot!"

"Mr Disco! A doctor is on his way!"

"Bastard!" said Disco, glaring at Cuba. "Do you have any idea how much it'll cost to fix you? The mermaid's next, right?"

"Yes, sir! And everything is all set; she can go up at any time!"

Camie was still chained and had now been placed in the water tank.

"Good, a high profile item such as her should clean away the stink that this walking piece of excrement is left in the air. Get her onstage now!"

"Yes, sir!"

Camie could only float in the tank helplessly. 'Octron… everyone.'

Toothless was now on Grove number one, but now he had to locate the auction house.

"Finally made the Grove number one," he said, looking up at the tree. "Now, I just found the auction house. I hope I'm not too ready to save Camie."

Back in the auction house, the auction was proceeding as normal.

"It would seem entry number 16, the pirate captain La Cuba, was so nervous to see you all that he collapsed from a nosebleed," said Disco. "His auction will have to wait. We apologise for any inconvenience."

"Collapsed from a nosebleed?" Chopper frowned.

"What a load of crap," Ragnar muttered.

"I think everyone here is under the illusion that all the sleep for sale saw themselves on their own accord," Astrid noted, noticing all the relieved faces among everyone that gathered.

"Who would sell themselves after slavery?" Fishlegs stared.

"We sold ourselves to indentured servitude to protect our village," Astrid reminded him. "I suspect that it on here thinks the selling themselves off to pay off some sort of debt."

"This place is even more despicable than I first thought, and I didn't know that was possible," Ragnar muttered.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the next item I have to show you is nothing short of incredible!" Disco announced. "This highly sought-after prize should be on everyone's wish list! Now bring it to the stage!"

Everyone heard a drum roll, and a spotlight immediately shone upon the stage. Some mist quickly followed this, and they saw Disco's men dragging something on the stage covered in a cloth.

"This item is far too amazing to reveal all at once, so we'll take it in steps," said Disco. "Observe the silhouette!"

Spotlight shone down upon the container, and everyone saw the outline of a mermaid.

"It couldn't really be…"

"Yes, it is! I've been waiting!"

"Did that whet your appetite?" Disco smiled. "Try not to drool, folks, because here comes the real deal. It's time for the unveiling! Feast your eyes on this!"

They immediately pulled away the cloth, and trapped inside the fish tank was Camie. Upon seeing her, the entire crowd cheered enthusiastically.

"All the way from Fishman Island, the mermaid Camie!" Disco yelled.

"It's real! A young mermaid!"

"She's incredible!"

"What an amazing find!"

Saint Charlie looked at Camie, enraptured.

Camie looked around frantically and then calmed down when she saw Astrid and the others at the back.

"It's Octron and the Dragon Riders," she said. "They must have come here to rescue me."

"Camie!" Octron cried. "They're selling her! Do something!"

"I'm on it," said Astrid. "We'll get her back, no problem. Two hundred million is going to be more than enough."

"Camie!" Pappagu cried.

"I can't believe it," said Saint Charlie, stunned. "A mermaid! They're selling a mermaid!"

"I see that there are a lot of interest in this item," said Disco. "It is our first mermaid in quite some time, after all. Now then, at what price should we start the bidding?"

"Whatever it is, we will top it," said Astrid confidently. "We're not leaving here without you, Camie."

"Let's get this show on the road," said Disco. "We'll start at—"

"500 million!" Saint Charlie announced abruptly.

Everyone immediately fell silent and looked at him.

"I bid 500 million," Saint Charlie announced.

Astrid looked completely stunned, as did all the other Dragon Riders.

"Whoa, so much."

"It's useless; I can't compete with that."

Saint Charlie would please with himself.

"How could this happen?" Astrid asked. "We don't nearly have that much."

Saint Oswald looked at his son. "What a waste of money. Did you forget the Puranas in your aquarium? She won't last an hour in there."

"It would be fun to watch her try, though," he said. "Merfolk are the fastest swimmers in the world, or do so they say."

'I can't hear anything they're saying out there,' said Camie helplessly, then began to bang on the fish tank. "Octron! Do you hear me?"

"Camie!" Pappagu cried. "A Celestial Dragon is going to buy her, and there's nothing we can do about it."

Octron was furious, but he knew he could do nothing. "Camie…"

They could see Camie banging on the fish tank and yelling, but they couldn't hear her.

"Everyone appears to be at a loss for words," said Disco, finally regaining the ability to speak. "But as just the same. Does anyone out there have a bit higher than 500 million Gil?"

Saint Charlie smiled; even if there was someone who could outbid him, he would put more money into the pot, no problem.

"Can't we do anything about this?" Chopper asked. "I mean, there's got to be something, right? Come on, Astrid… Ragnar… Fishlegs… what's the plan? There isn't any time left if we don't do something now; they'll take her away, and we'll never get her back."

"This is bad," said Ragnar. "We should have known that we couldn't compete with them. Those creeps throw money around like it grows on trees. This just isn't our game."

"If not, then I'll bring the bidding straight to a close," said Disco, smiling at the prospect of getting 500 million. "Now…"

"I won't let this happen," said Octron, clenching his fist. "I'll have to help her escape to the ocean by force."

"Don't be stupid. What about the collar?" Pappagu reminded him. "You want her head to explode?"

"Then I… I guess I'm just going to have to figure out how to get the key, too," he said.

The Dragon Riders were utterly furious; the only way they could save Camie now was by force, but if they did so, the entire might of the Navy would be upon them like a thunderstorm.

Disco then banged his mallet. "And that's it! Times up!"

"I did it," Saint Charlie smiled.

"This is just a taste of what the world holds," said Dagur. "It's all a damn farce. Let's go, men."

He and his men began to leave the auction house.

"Bidding has ended, ladies and gentlemen!" Disco announced.

Toothless then chose this moment to enter the auction house, which caught the interest of Dagur.

"The Pirate Hunter?" he said as Toothless ran past.

"Am I too late?" Toothless asked.

"Toothless?" Astrid gasped.

"Today's showcase item, the young mermaid Camie, goes to the World Noble Saint Charlie with his bid of 500 million Gil!" said Disco.

Suddenly, there was a huge explosion as something blew the doors off and then shooting into the auction house was a black blur. Everyone immediately turned around to the commotion that just occurred.

"What the heck?" Disco stared.

"What is all that racket?" Saint Oswald asked impatiently.

That black blur turned out to be Hiccup in his animal form, but the moment he landed, he immediately transformed back into his human form.

"Hiccup?" Ragnar gasped.

"He always likes to make an entrance," Astrid smiled, shaking her head.

Both Trafalgar and Dagur looked at Hiccup with great interest.

"Well, damn, if it isn't Dragon Conqueror Hiccup," said Dagur smiling.

"Sorry about the mess, but I was in a bit of a hurry," said Hiccup.

"Where's your Flying Fish?" Fishlegs asked.

"The moment we saw the auction house, I went off on my own," Hiccup explained. "Now, where is Camie."

About and this was the first time that all those present realised the presence of the Pirates.

"Who are those goons? And where did they come from?"

Hiccup then saw Camie on stage. "Camie!"

"Hiccup, save me," Camie pleaded.

Hiccup looked at the others. "What a situation?"

"We tried to buy Camie, but we were outbid by a Celestial Dragon," Astrid informed him.

"I see," Hiccup sighed. "Then we're only left with one option to rescue Camie."

Then, before anyone could stop him, he immediately ran towards the stage, but Octron quickly chased him and grabbed him.

"Hold on, Dragon," he said. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Trying to save Camie," said Hiccup, trying to free himself from his grip.

"She's wearing an explosive collar! She'll never make it out alive! Plus, the Celestial Dragons are here, don't do anything rash!"

"I'm afraid we don't have any other options," said Hiccup.

"Did he just call him Dragon?"

"Yeah, he's that pirate."

"Dragon, stop this!" Octron yelled and then pulled out his extra arms to restrain Hiccup.

He managed to stop Hiccup, but then everyone in the auction screamed.

"His arms! His arms! He is a Fishman!"

Octron looked down and soon realised his mistake.

"Disgusting!"

"What is a Fishman doing here?"

"It's an octopus monster!"

"What is a Fishman doing on land?"

"I bet he spread diseases."

"Of course, he does apprehend him already!"

"Gross, stay away!"

"Go back to the sea, you damn freak!"

"Yeah, go home!"

"Get out of here already!"

"We don't want you here!"

Everyone then started flowing objects that Octron.

Pappagu quickly ran up to Octron and jumped on his shoulder. "Octron, we need to make a run for it. You're the one who's in danger now."

"You're telling me to let Camie go! No way!"

"Octron, you need to leave. I'll handle Camie," Hiccup assured him.

"Why do the people here hate him so much?" Ragnar asked.

"It's just like what Heather said before," said Astrid, and they all looked at her. "They discriminate against Fishmen and Merfolk on these islands. They hate every last one of them."

"But why?" Chopper asked. "They aren't any different from us?"

Then suddenly, they all heard a gunshot, and the old gasped in horror as Octron fell to the ground. The one who shot him was none other than Saint Charlie himself, and he looked pretty pleased with himself.

"Octron, are you—" Pappagu gasped.

"I did it!" Saint Charlie cheered, dancing around. "I shot it! I took down a Fishman!"

"Octron!" Astrid and Fishlegs gasped.

"Thank goodness someone shot it. That awful sea beast gone any closer, it would have made us all ill."

"True, it was definitely plotting something. It could have been much, though even if it could walk, it still got a fish's brain."

Camie slammed her hands against the fish tank, crying out for Octron.

"Look, Father, I've got a Fishman!" said Saint Charlie, dancing happily. "I shot it and cut it up all by myself. That means I can have it for free! It's free! It's free! An octopus for me! I caught a Fishman by myself! An octopus for free! What a deal! What a deal, an octopus for free! Free! Free! Free!"

Hiccup looked down at him, narrowing his eyes, and began taking a few steps towards him, but Octron grabbed his wrist.

"Wait," he said weakly. "Dragon… don't do this. It's my fault, I'm the one who screwed up okay. Please don't forget your promise. Like I said, you can't defy the Celestial Dragons even if they kill someone. There was a time when I was a pirate… a criminal! This is the punishment I deserve for doing all those horrible things."

Hiccup then placed his hand over his chest. "I'm so sorry; I didn't mean for everything to turn out like this. I just wanted to… make amends with Astrid and Fishlegs however I could. Even though it wasn't much, I wanted to be helpful to you and your crew, but I screw that up, I guess. Just like every other time. I wanted to do something right for once and show those two just how sorry I am."

"Octron," Astrid cried.

"All my life, all I've done is cause trouble," he cried. "I'm sorry! Forgive me!"

"That's enough!" Saint Charlie yelled. "Stop all that annoying babbling fish before I shut you up for good!"

He then raised his gun to shoot Octron again, but Hiccup blocked his path, infuriating him.

"How dare you!" he snarled. "Don't you look at me like that!"

Hiccup merely glared at him and began to make his way towards him. Normally, he would keep his anger in check, but after the past events in the last five minutes, he had reached a boiling point.

"Don't! Dragon, please!" Pappagu begged. Hiccup ignored him and continued to make his way to Saint Charlie. "You're going to get into some really big trouble! Don't do it!"

"Easy, you see this?" said Saint Charlie, pointing his gun at Hiccup.

All eyes had now fallen upon Hiccup.

"What is that man doing? He's crazy."

"Dragon Conqueror Hiccup," said Trafalgar.

"He's serious," said Dagur.

"Now you're annoying me too," said Saint Charlie, firing his pistol at him.

However, he was a terrible shot, and the bullet was so slow that Hiccup easily dodged. Then, once he was face-to-face with Saint Charlie, he clenched his fist and punched him in the face with all his strength. He had him so hard that he sent him flying into the stands, leaving everyone speechless.
