Flame-fu is a black-flying wyvern and Ling's pet. She has black and glowing red scales and red eyes.
While in the Monster Hunter universe, the team comes across a fighting arena created by hunters. They infiltrate the arena by putting their own rescued beasts into the fights. They all only pretend to fight each other to give the others time to rescue the trapped beasts. Ling rescues Flame-fu and she's grateful.
Flame-Fu is very observant and skilled at piecing together information. She has faith in her friends and is sensitive to their feelings, disliking seeing them hurt. Flame-Fu also cares deeply for her master. She cares for all of the team and respects their goal. However, when driving unwanted animals away, she becomes very forceful and fierce, unafraid to be harsh. Her courage is undeniable, as she will face any adversary for the good of her friends.
She is fast and very powerful, can breath spheres and beams of flame in various ways, have venomous talons that are also strong enough to tear chunks out of the ground and crush them, she can throw her wing claws as potent projectiles which regrow in little time, and can even release a short ranged corrosive gas cloud. But her most infamous ability is her temper. The angrier she gets, the faster and stronger she gets, with her body changing in accordance. Flame-fu will also do large sidesteps to reposition herself and momentarily get out of most enemy ranges. She is also able to create enormous pitch black clouds of gas to obscure her opponents vision leaving her wide open for attack.
