Manchee's death, rewritten from his POV.

Everyone thought New World was prepared to move on after the events of Monsters of Men. But the new Settlers, just like the first, struggle to deal with Noise, and chaos again arises. One person may not run the government, but love is a weakness to be exploited, and the new Settlers are determined to uproot the government by any means, even if that means killing a hero.

It's been several weeks and Todd hasn't woken up - but Viola refuses to quit trying. Moments after Todd returns, and the remaining chaos that welcomes the pair shortly after.

Post Monsters of Men. A small moment after the war when Todd feels the weight of all that needs to done, but there is one person who can share the burden.

Hey there! So basically, this series is going to be set AFTER the events of Monsters' of Men. If you have not read that I strongly recommend doing so as this will contain spoilers! Major spoilers.

Three long months after Todd falls into a deep sleep, he wakes up to Viola and Lee leading the rebuilding efforts in the newly united Spackle and human village. But when he hears the Mayor's voice inside his head and controlling his body, Todd is helpless to watch as the Mayor uses him to open old wounds between the two races. How will Viola react, and will the community survive?

Viola become extremely ill as a result of the bands and when the Mayor's cure turns out to be corrupt, her, Todd and the Ask, are forced to runaway, days before the ship full of sleeping people is meant to land.

Samuel is living in the remnants of Farbranch, a town destroyed by Mayor Prentiss' army a year ago. He is the oldest boy living in the town, having been only a few weeks shy of his thirteenth birthday at the time of the attack, and spared by the army for it. When he struggles to overcome his own experiences and bias, he finds that there's more to being a man than just his age.
