Author's Note: All right, so you're probably wondering what this is all about. Well after some discussion, we've decided to do mini-episodes! Right now we don't have an exact count of how many we'll do, but there'll be plenty. So plenty that it would be a good decision to have them all be published in a separate story.

So in short, this is connected to Pahkitew Showdown - you'll gain important information and context from reading these chapters. But, we're keeping them separated from the main episodes. Hopefully they are to your liking!

Without further ado, here is the first one!

Mini-Episode 1: Brilliant Plan

The McShaw Spa Hotel, as expected, appeared to be quite luxurious from the outside, and from the inside. Every room catered to the human's desires and needs. From the gym for the athletes, to the arcade for the gamers, every member of the Brilliant Bears, upon entering the building, agreed to explore around and have some fun.

After all, it was their moment, their victory. They got first place in a grueling challenge.

And so, Daniela and Samey decided to spend the night at the Lounge. Comfy sofas all around with a wide, flatscreen plasma television. To add on to the aesthetics, there were lava lamps on the table stools, located around the sofas.

"Estos sofás son tan relajantes." Daniela sighed in content as she put on her earbuds, praising how amazing her sofa felt. "I could fall asleep right now."

Samey, who laid on the sofa across from her, hummed in agreement. "So this is what it feels like to lay on an entire sofa. Imagine, getting the entire sofa to yourself for the first time in your life." She muttered the second half to herself.

"Feels good, right?" Daniela asked, not looking at the younger twin cheerleader.

"Yeah…" Samey shifted around on the sofa, making sure her limbs were stretched, and her bones were cracked. Popped, as one would say. She turned her head towards Daniela. "And maybe we can feel good again tomorrow." There was surprising confidence in her voice.

Even Daniela noticed. "Ooo I love that confidence, chica."

Perhaps it was her voice or the wording, but Samey could feel her cheeks redden a bit. It wasn't too often that she received actual, genuine praise. "T-Thanks… I've never had someone call me confident before." She giggled softly.

Not a few seconds after, the two ladies could hear footsteps coming from right outside the Lounge. Although Samey made the effort to look. In front of her eyes, she could see Max attempting to tip-toe across the hallway. Stealth was definitely not his strong suit.

"Where's he going?" She asked quietly.

Out in the hallway, Max giggled quietly to himself, like a true evil genius. He looked around the area to make sure no one was truly there. Maybe someone might be following him sneakily and he didn't want to take that chance. Then, he pressed on the elevator button.

Max waited patiently for the elevator door. From there, he entered. Once the door closed and began its descent towards the first floor, he cackled maniacally. "Finally! All of those fools are distracted by this hotel's superpower. The power to fulfill a human's desire… the power of luxury!" A smirk formed on his face. "But of course, I did, and will not fall for the temptation!" Soon enough, the elevator reached the first floor.

"Now, to sneak outside and-" And once Max took a few steps outside of the hotel, his evil monologue ended abruptly because of what was in front of him.

Or rather, who was in front of him. Colton McShaw himself.

Tipping his cowboy hat downward, Colton gave the purple-haired gremlin a grin. "Howdy, partner!" He greeted, accompanied by his accent. "How do you like my hotel so far? Darn great, ain't it?" Max simply glared at him in response.

"Inconceivable cowboy!" Max pointed at him "threateningly". "You are standing in evil's way! I command you to step away, or bow down to me in trembling fear!" He also tried to imitate a deep-voiced dictator. A ruler who had no respect, regards, or remorse for those lower than him. But of course, the key word here was "tried".

Because Colton remained unmoved, unfazed. His grin vanished and a look of seriousness replaced it. "And what if I do neither of that?"

Max formed what was his best version of an evil grin. "Then you will suffer the pain and wrath of evil!" And reaching into the pocket of his pants, he pulled out… a regular kitchen knife. "Behold! The Keen Kitchen Knife of Evil! Only the most villainous can acquire this weapon! And I won't hesitate to use it against heroes like you!" He pointed it at Colton, right at his face. "MWA-HA-HA- T-That's a gun!"

There was no time for the supervillain to comprehend Colton's actions. Right as soon as he pointed the knife at him, the cowboy reached into his holster and whipped out a revolver. A classic, six-bullet gun. Using one hand, he aimed the weapon at Max's face.

"I ain't afraid to shoot a man who's threatenin' my life." Colton placed a finger on the trigger, one pull away from sending a bullet flying towards Max's head. "What's it gonna be, partner? We can walk away and pretend this never happened…"

Then he pointed his revolver up at the sky. "Or, we can play a game of High Noon." He pulled the trigger-

BANG!

Gunshot. A bullet went straight up.

And that was all it took for Max to drop his kitchen knife. His body trembling and ready to melt into goop, he let out a high-pitched shriek at the top of his lungs and ran back into the hotel. He decided to take the stairs; the elevator would be too risky.

As for Colton, he shook his head before placing his revolver away. He walked off, having dealt with a rebellious contestant.

A contestant that was sure to be traumatized for a long time, if not the rest of his life.
