Ch 1.
It was 9:00 in the morning. Inside a small laboratory a tall but overweight man with an IQ of 300, sat at his computer analyzing the results of his most recent experiment.
"Doctor Eggman, Experiment KrH is complete. The result is a success." a mechanical voice said.
"Good. when will it awaken?" the man named Dr. Eggman asked.
"When you give the command, sir." the robot said.
Eggman turned in his seat to look at the giant beaker behind him. In it lay an Anthropomorphic red hedgehog with yellow streaks in his head quills.
"Experiment KrH...Awake." the doctor said.
In a flash the eyes of the hedgehog snapped open, and the glass doors opened. The mechanical tubes connected to his body are unhooked and he stepped out. The psychotic doctor chuckled.
"Sir! There's a security breach in sector 12! It looks like G.U.N has arrived."
"what?! Set all weapons to kill, if even one man survives I'll have your head." the doctor yelled.
The G.U.N soldiers were bombarded right and left their weapons did no good. Then a black and red streak flew by and dogged every attack heading straight for Eggman's lab. Then the doors to the lab exploded and a black and red hedgehog stood in the frame.
"Shadow. Good of you to come. I need a test run of my latest project. KrH, kill Shadow the hedgehog!" the doctor said and the Experiment ran at Shadow with lightning speed and punched him in the face breaking his jaw.
"So, shadow, what do you think of my grandfather's experiment improvement? Hmm? He's similar to you and that blue pain in the backside Sonic, but he's Faster, Stronger, and More powerful than anything this world has ever seen. Taking strands of both your and Sonic's DNA and combined with the DNA of a man on another planet, I have created the Ultra Life Form!"
"you sick bastard!" Shadow said wiping the blood from his mouth, "You took the Idea from an old has been and alien and say you've improved it? I'd call it copyright Infringement."
"Grrrrr!! DESTROY HIM!!!!" Eggman roared.
"No..." the Experiment said.
"What? You dare disobey your creator? I gave you an order! Kill him!!!"
"NO!!" the Experiment roared and with laser vision, destroyed the computer.
"AAAAAAHHHHHH!!! YOU IDIOT!! ROBOTS DESTROY THEM BOTH!!!" the doctor ordered and tens of thousands of robots attacked them. But before they could even lock on, the Experiment sliced them in half with his Heat Vision.
"C'mon!!" the red hedgehog said and pulled Shadow by the arm helping him up, and they both ran off outside the building where it exploded when they were 50 meters from there.
"Why… Why did you save me?" Shadow asked.
"I don't know. Something told me to..." the Experiment said.
"Well, I guess a 'thank you' is in order..." Shadow said, smirking.
"I guess." the Experiment said.
"Well thanks, Um… what do I call you?"
"Call me Ultra, Ultra the Hedgehog." He said and with that he ran off without another word.
2.
it was mid-day in Mobius City and Sonic the Hedgehog was admiring the landscape in the park when a shrill voice was heard.
"SOOOONNNIIICCC!!!"
'oh no, not again.' he thought. He then dashed off before a pink female hedgehog could glomp him.
"Amy!! How many times do I need to tell you WE'RE JUST FRIENDS!!!!!" Sonic shouted behind him.
"But Sonic!! I love you!!!" the girl cried, "Why don't you return my feelings?" at this sonic stopped and stood there.
"Amy I'll say this once and once only, either grow up or leave me alone!! You understand me?! LEAVE ME ALONE!!" he shouted and stormed off.
"S-Sonic..." she began and then burst into tears.
Not too far from her location, Ultra the Hedgehog had witnessed the scene and, angered by the blue one's brutality, walked over to the weeping girl.
"Miss, Are you alright?" he asked gently. Amy looked up to see caring sky blue eyes looking down at her.
"I-I'm fine..." she said after sniffing.
"I don't mean to be hurtful Miss, but you're lying." he said," that other Hedgehog, does he always act like this?"
She nodded.
"Wait here. I'll have a word with him." he said and began to walk after Sonic.
"W-wait! Don't hurt him..." she said.
"I assure you madam, no harm will come to him." and with that he ran after Sonic. He had figured out his route and arrived at the next spot before our cobalt hero, which made him stop in his tracks.
"Hey buddy, how's……?" Sonic began but never finished.
"Are you the one they call Sonic the Hedgehog?" Ultra asked.
"Yep, who wants to know?" sonic asked getting cocky.
" The name's Ultra the hedgehog and I offer you a warning...the next time you hurt that girl's feelings, her heart won't be the only thing broken." Ultra said.
"Whoa whoa, is that a threat buddy?" Sonic asked.
"On the contrary... I am simply stating that if you hurt someone else, Karma will bring it back tenfold. So no I am not threatening you." Ultra stated.
"Yeah well, I don't think 'karma' will come back at me, so whatever you say pal." Sonic said, shrugging.
"Believe what you will, Sonic. Oh and by the way...here." Ultra said and tossed him a CD-ROM.
"What's this?" Sonic asked.
"Intel on Eggman's newest plan, and just so you know I was part of it, but I have sided with you. You're a good man, but you need to get your head out of the clouds" Ultra said and sped off.
"Hmmm….. Odd guy, but if he's right, I should give this to Tails to look it over." Sonic said to himself and sped off to his friend's workshop. Back at the park, Ultra had gone back to see if Amy was ok.
"How are you feeling Miss?" he asked her.
"Fine, did you hurt Sonic?" she asked.
"I said no harm would come to him and none did. I'm Ultra the Hedgehog by the way." he said holding out a hand to help her up.
"I'm Amy Rose." she said taking it.
"A pleasure Miss Rose." he said and kissed her hand.
"Oh!" she said surprised by the act.
"I'm sorry, did I-?"
"No, not at all! It was just unexpected that's all." she said pulling her hand back quickly.
"I see. begging your pardon, but would you care for me to walk you home?" he asked.
"Thank you." she said. And they began the trek to her house.
"Well here we are." she said as they came up to the door.
"Indeed. Miss Rose, I hate to be a bother but, seeing as I'm new in town, I was wondering if there was anywhere I could stay for a few days, until I find a place of my own that is." he asked.
"Well, you could stay with me if you like, and please call me Amy." she said.
"Thank you Amy. I will repay your kindness one day."
"It's no trouble….. Um…… what did you say your name was?"
"Ultra." he said.
"Well, Ultra, as they say in Mexico, 'Mi casa es su casa." she said and giggled.
"Clever." He said and chuckled. As soon as Amy opened the door, they walked in and Ultra had a look about the place as Amy went to change her attire. She came back down with a light blue tank top and jeans.
"So, what brings you to Mobius?" she asked sitting down.
"Mostly to get away from Eggman and try to find myself." he said.
She gasped at the mention of the psychotic doctor's name.
"Y-you know Eggman?" she asked shocked.
"Of course. He's the one that created me, but rest assured I have no intention of siding with him. He wanted to use me to destroy Sonic and Shadow, but when I fought the black hedgehog, something inside me helped me see the good in his heart despite his actions." Ultra said.
"Wow, that's heavy."
"Tell me about it." he said. They soon talked about other things, such as her adventures with Sonic, how she had adored him since she first met him, her other friends, what she liked to do besides chase after him, and what her interests were.
"Amy?" he asked finally after a long silence.
"Hmm?" she asked.
"This is a little embarrassing but...I think you're really pretty." he said blushing.
"Oh...thank you.." she said turning away and blushing as well. There was an odd silence then.
"Ultra?" she asked.
"yes, Amy?" he said turning toward her.
"I-I was wondering-do you- maybe-" she stumbled trying to speak.
"What?" he asked.
"I-If you're not too busy- maybe we could-Oh-!"
"Amy just-" he began but she then kissed him and he was startled at first, but then began to relax and kiss her back. They were like this for what seemed like hours but were really just minutes, their tongues fighting each other, trying to see who would dominate the other. Then she broke the kiss slowly and they breathed heavily, trying to regain their breath.
"Amy. That was...I can't even describe it.." he said.
"I know...y-you're not mad are you?" she asked.
"Mad? Why would I be mad? You were fantastic…" he said chuckling.
"R-really?" she asked.
"Yeah." he said and smiled. She thought about this and finally said,
" Ultra...would you want to go out with me sometime?"
"S-sure. Yeah I'd love too." he said.
"Does tomorrow night sound good?" she asked.
"Perfect. um, what should we do before then?" he asked.
"Well, I could show you around the city." she said.
"Ok. Sounds good." he said. She smiled.
"well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow morning then." she said," g'night."
"night." he said and lay down on the couch. Amy smiled as she walked up the stairs to her bedroom. 'He may not be Sonic,' she thought as she got under the covers,' but he's really cute.' and with that she began to sleep, dreaming about what would happen tomorrow night.
"so, it seems the pink one has fallen for my creation." Eggman said watching the monitors in front of him.
"It appears so. what do you suppose we do?" a new voice said.
"As of yet, my friend, nothing...we will wait until their bond grows stronger and then RIP it apart!!"
"And then I can test out my own power." the figure said and stepped out of the shadows and revealed himself to be a black and Ivory green hedgehog.
"Indeed Metalo, indeed." Eggman said.
The next day as Ultra and Amy went on their date everything seemed peaceful. Not a single cloud covered the night sky as the stars twinkled brightly. Ultra had a little plan up his sleeve. He had a silver necklace with a Superman pentagon with a U in it. He had surprisingly made it himself and planned to give it to Amy as a first date gift. As they walked along the boardwalk going into the lake a ways, Amy leaned her head on Ultra's arm and said "Oh Ultra, tonight was wonderful. I've never had a night like this unless it was in my dreams. Originally it was with Sonic, but he isn't much of a down to earth guy."
Ultra chuckled a bit.
"I'm glad you had fun Amy. And trust me, it's going to get better." he said and when they were at the edge of the walk he "accidentally" dropped the box containing the necklace.
"Hey what's that?" Amy asked.
"What that? It's just a little something I made." he said nonchalantly. She opened the box and gasped.
"Ultra it-it's beautiful. y-you made this?" she asked shocked.
"Yes, and it's yours if you want it." he said lovingly.
"Thank you. I love it." she said and hugged him.
"The thing about this necklace is it allows you to contact me if needed. I will always be there for you Amy."
"Oh, Ultra..." Amy cooed and hugged him. But Ultra started to wobble until he fell to his knees.
"Ultra, what's wrong?" Amy asked, worried.
"I hate to interrupt such a lovely setting..." come a voice and Amy looked up and saw a black hedgehog that looked just like shadow but had Ivory green in his quills instead of red. "But 'Ultra' and I have business."
"W-who are you... and what do you want?" Ultra asked weakly trying to stand.
"Oh, nothing much... A little mayhem here, chaos over there, OH and let's not forget… your head!" the hedgehog said and kneed Ultra in the chin laughing like a madman sending him flying in the air and into the street.
"Ultra!!" Amy cried out in fear.
"Oh, what's wrong Ult's? Feeling Under the weather? good, 'cause I just LOVE knocking your ass around!" the hedgehog said and curb stomped him.
"Why...why are you doing this?" Ultra asked.
"Simple... Dr. Eggman needed a demonstration so I volunteered. Oh and in case you're wondering why you're so weak. It's because under this Dashing figure is a heart of Kryptonite and the man you were cloned from was powerless against it, but I guess the good Doctor forgot to mention that. Oh well, more fun for me!" the hedgehog said and started to crush his head with his heal which made Ultra scream.
"ULTRA!!!" Amy cried at the horrendous cruelty to which he was enduring.
"Oh and before I forget.." the hog said and out of his right wrist came a ivory blade which he used to stab Ultra in the abdomen and break it off leaving little out of the skin. He chuckled a bit as he walked over to Amy leaving Ultra to bleed and suffer. he then elbowed her in the back of the head sending her unconscious, picked her up like a sack of flour and put her over his shoulder and said, "So long Ultra, it's been a Stabbing good time." he said and laughed maniacally as he took off.
