Pokemon: Beyond
Narrator: Welcome to the World of Pokemon. An amazing world where pokemon live and breathe right alongside people like you and me.
19 Year Old Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town has been training since he was a young boy to be the ultimate pokemon master. As a boy, he achieved great things and had many wonderful adventures. But eventually he had to come back home and help take care of his mother. But little does he know, his greatest adventure is about to begin.
Scene zooms in of a pizza restaurant, "Pallet Town Pizza" at night, we see young adult Ash sitting beneath a sign that reads, "Delivery," snoring in front of a vid screen, his classic hat pulled down to cover his face. Pikachu is similarly asleep by his side. Suddenly the vid screen flashes to life and the face of the angry restaurant manager appears. He starts yelling. "Ash, we just received a delivery order. You need to get to this address in 20 minutes or the customer gets the pizza for free! Hey, do you hear me, are you awake?"
Ash flails to life and pulls his hat up. "Yes, hear you loud and clear Mr. Miyage. We're on the way now!"
Ash grabs the keys to his car, picks up the pizza, and walks outside to the car. For a moment the camera shifts to his old bike, and for a moment we think Ash is going to bike it, but then we see the classic car and soon realize…no way he drives now. Ash hops into the car with Pikachu. "You ready for another run Pikachu?" "Pika!"
Ash puts in an old cassette tape, which plays an old school classic song. As Ash barrels down the road, a swarm of Pidgey begin to give chase. "Pidgey, again? Doesn't this ever get old?" Ash says. Pikachu climbs out onto the roof and zaps the entire swarm, which falls to the ground.
Pikachu: Pika Pika!
Ash: Man that never gets old.
Ash drives fast and guns it through a red light, which leads Officer Jenny to give chase. Ash sees the lights but ignores it, instead pushing the car to go even faster. Pikachu squeals in protest.
Ash: "Come on, she'll understand!"
Eventually Ash pulls up in front of his own home, not realizing it, and runs as fast as he can to the front door and rings the door bell.
Delia answers with her typical smiling face. "Well there's my handsome young pizza delivery man. Thank you so much for coming over tonight!"
Ash protests in shock. "Mom? What! I told you not to do that."
Officer Jenny pulls up and walks up to him. "Ash how many times have I told you about going over the speed limit around here. You're definitely getting a ticket this time."
Delia: Hi Officer Jenny.
Jenny: Oh wait…I see. You were just doing something special for your Mom. How cute! She pinches his cheek. Well in that case I'll let you off with a warning but this is the last time. Next time, it'll be a big ticket for sure!
Delia: Thanks Officer Jenny. I'm sure Ash won't do anything bad on the roads again right Ash?
Ash rolls his eyes. "Ugh yeah, sure!"
Jenny departs.
Delia: Well since you were nice enough to bring your mother dinner why don't you come inside and we'll share that pizza together.
Ash: Well Mom, I am kind of working.
Delia grabs Ash by the hand and pulls him inside the house.
Delia: I'm sure Mr. Miyagie won't mind. Besides I have some very important news to share.
Pikachu: Pika?
Delia: You remember Lillie's Mother, Lusamine? Well I just got off the phone with her and as it turns out, they finally found Lillie's father! Isn't that great. So tomorrow we are invited to a big celebration party in Alola. They are even sending us a super fast jet to take us there! I am so excited!
Pikachu: Pika Pika!
Ash: Wow that is exciting. I'll definitely take off work for that. I haven't heard from any of my old Alola friends in years, it would be great to catch up with them.
Delia: Oh I really hope you do Ash. Delia cracks a wry grin. Who knows, maybe you and Lillie will even have a chance to spend some time together, maybe take a long walk under a moon lit beach?
Ash's eyes widen: Mom calm down! Like I've said before, I'm focused on friendship. Besides, I'm sure Lillie is way too busy anyway. She's like a super smart scientist now.
Delia sighs: Ok Ash.
Ash: Well Pikachu what do you say. Ready to go to Alola?
Pikachu: Piiiiiika!
Act II: Back to Alola
We see Ash, Delia and Pikachu flying on a super slick jet back to Alola but this time, the jet engages some vertical thrusters and lands right in front of Mallow's restaurant. It's night time and torches light up the outside of the restaurant, where a large party is underway.
Ash and company are immediately greeted by their cheering friends. All of Ash's friends from Alola, Mallow, Lana, Sophocles, Kiaway, along with Professor Kakui, Professor Burnett and their now six year old son. Lillie is also there, standing with Mallow and Lana. Lusamine, Gladeon, and the father are however not present for the arrival…
Ash: Alright, it's really great to see everyone. Alola!
Ash is seen shaking a lot of hands and giving high fives. Each character has something encouraging to say.
When Ash greets Kiawe, Ash's Charizard comes out of its poke ball and starts roaring at Kiawe's Charizard.
Kiawe: Sounds like they want to battle!
Ash looks at his Charizard, and then over in Lillie's direction.
Ash: Maybe later tonight. I am way too hungry to battle right now. Besides this food looks delicious. Charizard Return! He puts Charizard back into the ball.
Mallow: You know that's because it's coming from my restaurant right? She gives him a playful hug. Lana steps in to say hello as well.
Ash: "So good to see you Mallow and Lana. I'm sorry I let so much time slip away. It's just good to be back." He steps past them a bit to get closer to Lillie. When Mallow and Lana see this, they step away to go talk to the others.
Ash: Hey Lillie, long time no see, how are you?
Pikachu and Snowy the Vulpix greet each other.
Lillie: Oh hi Ash, I'm doing fine. She looks a little nervous. I've just been really busy with family stuff and getting used to my Dad being back. I'm really glad you came back.
Ash: Oh thanks, yeah I've been doing a lot of the same. Just trying to look out for Mom, yah know. Hey…that outfit looks amazing. You looks great tonight.
Just then Charizard bursts out of his pokeball and flame throwers Ash, temporarily turning him into a burnt up character.
Lillie laughs: I was going to say the same thing about you before that happened!
Ash: Thanks Charizard.
Lillie: It seems like Charizard really wants to battle. What do you think Ash?
Ash shakes off the ashes from his face.
Ash: You know what Lillie, since you put it that way, a battle sounds like a great idea!
Ash's Charizard fights Kiaway's Charizard and wins. Everyone applauds resoundingly.
Then Lusamine, Gladeon and the father appear.
Lusamine: Bravo Bravo Kiaway, and Ash. I am so happy you both made it to our celebration tonight, and everyone else as well. I'd like to introduce you all to my husband David, newly returned to us thanks to the efforts of my heroic son Gladeon.
David: Thanks Lusamine, and thanks to everyone for coming. I'm very thankful to everyone that helped out in my own search and rescue but I'm not here just to thank you all, I'm here to invite you to join me in a great adventure to the un-explored Nymian Region. This region is miles and miles of pristine wilderness. No human civilization at all and potentially thousands of undiscovered pokemon.
My own adventures have only begun to scratch the surface and I need all of your help to explore every inch of it. So for anyone that wants to join, my ship will be leaving tomorrow. But for now, enjoy the rest of the party.
Everyone claps. Scene shifts to a winding down party. The pokemon are all stuffed and starting to nod off. Guests are departing.
As the party ends Delia and Mr. Mime hops into a cab.
Delia: We're heading back to the hotel now. Are you coming?
Ash: I'll meet you back up there later. Just going to hang out with a few friends.
Delia smiles: Ok dearie, don't stay up too late! Cab pulls off.
Ash waves to Lillie:
Ash: Hey I feel like we didn't get a chance to talk much before. Want to take a walk?
Lillie smiles: On the beach? That sounds nice. I'd love to.
Ash: So how's it feel to have your Dad back?
Lillie: It's really weird. My Mom is really happy but…I just don't feel a connection yet with him. He's been gone for so long.
Ash: Yeah, I guess it's the same for me, I don't know how I would feel if they ever found my Dad.
Lillie: I'm just glad you're here Ash. I know this sounds weird, but it's been lonely for me without you around.
Ash: I don't think it sounds weird at all. You know what's weird? Growing up.
Lillie laughs a little bit. So are you going on the expedition?
Ash: If my Mom can come and its safe for her than yes. The Pallet Town scene has been getting kind of old, and I'd love to get out and see this new region.
Lillie nods: I'm sure my family will make it safe for everyone. Besides, I think your Mom will like having the extra company around.
Ash grins: Yeah she's really hit it off with Lusamine lately, well good for her.
Ash grows a little nervous: Hey Lillie, I was thinking just now, and wanted to ask you something.
Lillie also grows nervous, eyes widen: Yes?
Just then Jesse James and Meowth Drop In
Jesse: Oh I'm sorry were we interrupting something?
James: It looks like the Twerp is all grown up, and finding love and adventure, ewwww how romantic!
Meowth: Can't say I agree with his taste in women, but at least that one's got money!
Jesse: Yes, but what about the twerpette Misty?
James: Or the other twerpette Serena?
Ash: Team Rocket, what are you doing hear! I thought you gave up your misdeeds years ago.
James: We had but then we heard.
Jesse: That you had a new adventure so we figured.
Meowth: Time to come out of retirement and catch us a Pikachu for real this time!
Lillie: You guys need to learn to respect people's privacy!
The episode ends with a two on two pokemon battle between Ash and Lillie against Jesse and James. It ends with a typical bast off.
After battle:
Lillie: Hey Ash was there something you wanted to ask me?
Ash: Ummm never mind. It's getting late, let's head back. But umm, let's get together again once we reach the new region!
Lillie: Ok Ash!
Narrator: And so our hero is about to embark on a new adventure in a brand new region. Who knows what awaits him in the Nymian region!
