Prologue
A/N- An idea I had thinking back to a part of OG that I could have some fun with using it as a point to make one big change. Also a reviewer in a story asked me to make a Tien Saiyan story, and this kind of fills in for that too.
Kami's Lookout, a serene sanctuary that stood high above Earth's surface, was bathed in an atmosphere of profound contemplation. This tranquil refuge provided a breathtaking vista from which the world below unfolded in panoramic splendor. Today, the lookout hosted an intimate gathering of martial artists who had recently faced the cataclysmic menace of King Piccolo. The victorious battle had etched indelible marks on their souls.
Goku, the young prodigy, chose this elevated realm to continue his training under the watchful guidance of Kami, the Earth's guardian. Goku's unwavering resolve and boundless potential had deeply impressed even the usually stoic Kami.
Amidst the serene backdrop, Tien Shinhan and Yamcha, two of Goku's closest comrades, engaged in a hushed dialogue with their mentor, Master Roshi. The old sage lounged on a stone bench, his gaze fixed upon the distant horizon, a mask of deep contemplation. His once-youthful countenance now bore the weathered lines of age, while his eyes sparkled with a wisdom forged through decades of martial arts mastery.
Breaking the silence that enveloped them, Roshi began, "You know, Tien, Yamcha, Goku... he's truly something extraordinary, isn't he?"
Tien nodded somberly, his three eyes locked onto the panorama below. "Indeed, Master Roshi, he possesses a power and potential beyond any I've ever witnessed."
Yamcha leaned against a nearby railing, his arms crossed as he cast a wistful glance towards the sky. His eyes held a mixture of admiration and apprehension. "It's almost intimidating, don't you think? No matter how hard we train, it feels like we can never catch up to him."
With a sigh, Roshi intertwined his aged fingers, "Both of you have honed impressive skills, and I've watched you grow remarkably. But Goku... he's in a league of his own. He's the kind of warrior who appears once in a lifetime, if that. I've come to terms with the fact that my era as a martial artist has passed. And you know what? I find solace in the knowledge that there's someone like him among us."
Tien clenched his fists, flames of determination blazing in his eyes. "I won't give up, Master Roshi. I'll train harder and become stronger. I have to catch up to Goku someday."
While Yamcha continued to gaze at the horizon, a shadow of doubt played across his features. "I want to believe that too, Tien, but sometimes I can't help feeling like the odds are stacked against us."
Unbeknownst to them, the universe concealed a profound secret that would shatter their comprehension of Goku's origin. None on Earth were privy to the truth that Goku was not just an ordinary human but a Saiyan, a warrior race endowed with powers beyond earthly imagination. The true extent of the odds stacked against them remained concealed, even from Goku himself.
Despite the daunting odds and the seemingly insurmountable power gap between themselves, Tien, Krillin, and Goku, Yamcha found it impossible to dismiss the persistent idea that had taken root in his mind. It was a long shot, a reckless hope, but he couldn't shake the notion that the Dragon Balls might hold the key to leveling the playing field.
With resolve pulsing in his heart and a glimmer of hope in his eyes, Yamcha set out to enlist the help of the one person capable of assisting him in this audacious endeavor: Bulma. She had always been the genius behind their adventures involving the Dragon Balls and technology.
Bulma, with her trademark azure locks and an innate talent for invention, was taken aback by Yamcha's request. "You want the Dragon Radar, Yamcha? What's gotten into you? Usually, it's Goku and me who handle that kind of stuff."
Yamcha's gaze displayed a fusion of desperation and determination as he explained, "Bulma, you've witnessed Goku's astonishing growth. We can't keep pace with him. But maybe, just maybe, if we use the Dragon Balls to wish for power or training, we can bridge that gap. Together, we can become stronger and achieve so much more."
After a moment of contemplation, Bulma handed him the Dragon Radar. "Alright, Yamcha, but remember, the Dragon Balls are not to be trifled with. Be cautious with your wishes."
With the Dragon Radar clutched tightly in hand, Yamcha embarked on a quest to track down the scattered Dragon Balls, each hidden in a far-flung corner of the Earth. It was a perilous journey fraught with unexpected encounters and challenges, but Yamcha pressed onward, driven by the hope that his wish could reshape their destinies.
Unbeknownst to him, their odyssey would unleash unforeseen consequences, unveiling enigmatic truths about the Dragon Balls and their connection to Goku's mysterious Saiyan heritage. As Yamcha gathered each Dragon Ball, he couldn't help but wonder whether his idea was a reckless gamble or the catalyst for a new chapter in their lives.
Standing before the restored Dragon Balls, Yamcha felt a compelling urgency coursing through him. He held the seven mystical orbs tightly, and with a voice quivering with anticipation, he uttered the wish that would redefine their existence.
"I wish... I wish for all of us to possess the same potential as Son Goku, with the same boundless power."
The Dragon Balls erupted in a blinding, searing radiance, and a palpable surge of energy swept through the air. Yamcha could feel the wish materializing, but it was unlike anything he could have envisioned.
In distant corners of the Earth, Tien Shinhan and Krillin, utterly unaware of Yamcha's wish, suddenly underwent a profound transformation. Their bodies surged with energy as their physical forms underwent a metamorphosis. Little did they realize that the wish had transmuted them into Saiyans, an enigmatic warrior race of incredible potential.
Tien, within the solitude of his training sanctuary, could hardly believe the phenomenon unfolding before him. His three eyes widened as his muscles expanded, and his hair stood on end, transforming into a vivid obsidian hue. The power coursing through him was an uncharted territory of might.
Krillin, in the quietude of his training, experienced a similar transformation. His once-bald head sprouted a wild mane of jet-black hair, while his body emanated newfound strength and vitality. The intensity of his power left him both spellbound and bewildered.
Yamcha himself bore witness to the transformation firsthand. His body underwent a radical metamorphosis, his once-human attributes evolving into Saiyan characteristics. His hair turned an electrifying ebony, and an aura of blazing energy enveloped him.
As the wish took root, the Dragon Balls scattered to the winds, and Shenron, the Eternal Dragon, faded into obscurity. The trio now stood at the cusp of an unforeseen destiny, their latent potential as Saiyans unleashed, and their connection to Goku's untapped abilities irrevocably intertwined.
Unaware of the magnitude of their wish and the secrets of their newfound Saiyan legacy, Yamcha, Tien, and Krillin continued their transformation-driven training. Each of them sensed an insatiable craving for martial arts excellence that could not be ignored.
Tien, the ever-dedicated martial artist, found
himself plunging deeper into his training. His three eyes scrutinized every move and technique with a newfound intensity, as if he were unlocking a hidden reservoir of power.
Krillin, initially bewildered by his transformation, swiftly embraced the change with open arms. He trained with an intensity that astounded even his closest comrades. Every morning, he arose at dawn to refine his techniques, aspiring to match the peerless might of Goku, whom they still perceived as a fellow Earthling.
Yamcha, the catalyst behind this transformation, was no exception. His yearning to close the gap with Goku had transformed into a burning obsession. He dedicated every waking hour to his training, relentlessly pushing the boundaries of his potential.
Yet, despite their heightened dedication to the martial arts, each remained perplexed about the nature of their transformation. They recognized the striking similarities between themselves and Goku, from their ebony hair to the enigmatic power surging within them. But the truth remained elusive.
Tien and Krillin eventually connected the dots, their concerns for their friend compelling them to seek out Yamcha. They suspected that his recklessness might have played a role, considering his impulsive nature.
Tien approached Krillin, his three eyes conveying his anxiety. "Krillin, something is amiss. Yamcha has been training nonstop ever since that wish. We need to find him and ensure he's alright."
Krillin nodded, a sense of urgency permeating his voice. "You're right, Tien. Let's locate him. Hopefully, he hasn't stumbled into too much trouble."
The quest for Yamcha led Tien and Krillin across Earth's expansive terrain. They scoured familiar training grounds and ventured into the secluded hideaways where they knew Yamcha sought solace. Along the way, their own transformations continued to baffle them, offering no clear explanation for their sudden augmentation in power.
As they ventured deeper into the wilderness, they could sense the energy signatures of other formidable fighters. The world seemed to teem with potent individuals, each oblivious to the astonishing potential brewing within Tien, Krillin, and Yamcha.
Finally, after hours of relentless searching, they chanced upon a secluded clearing nestled within a remote forest. There, they discovered Yamcha, his transformation apparent in his unruly, obsidian hair and the unmistakable aura enveloping him.
Yamcha was engrossed in a rigorous training regimen, his fists a blur as he honed his techniques. Beads of sweat trickled down his brow, and his eyes gleamed with an unwavering resolve. He remained oblivious to the arrival of Tien and Krillin.
Tien called out to him, "Yamcha! We've been looking everywhere for you!"
Startled, Yamcha turned to face his friends. "Tien? Krillin? What are you guys doing here?"
Krillin approached cautiously, his voice carrying a note of urgency. "Yamcha, something's changed. Since that wish you made on the Dragon Balls, we've all experienced something unusual. We've become... stronger."
Tien added, "We've been training relentlessly, and we've felt the changes in ourselves. But we need answers, Yamcha. Did you tamper recklessly with the Dragon Balls? Is that why we're like this now?"
Yamcha sighed and lowered his guard, realizing there was no point in hiding the truth from his friends. "I did make a wish, guys. I wished for all of us to possess the same potential as Goku."
Tien and Krillin exchanged astonished glances. They had not anticipated such a profound transformation resulting from Yamcha's wish. "You did what?" Tien exclaimed in disbelief.
Krillin, still grappling with the situation, muttered, "So, we're all like Goku now?"
Yamcha nodded gravely. "Yes, it seems that way. I thought it would help us catch up to him, but I never imagined it would turn us into... whatever we are now."
Amidst the uncertainty surrounding their newfound abilities, Yamcha, Tien, and Krillin exchanged resolute glances. The bewildering turn of events had bound them together in ways they could have never foreseen.
Tien spoke, his voice firm with determination, "We may not fully comprehend what's happened to us, but one thing is clear: we are stronger. If we're going to unravel this mystery and make the most of our situation, we should train together."
Krillin nodded in agreement, his resoluteness reflected in his countenance. "Tien's right. We've always supported each other, and we've confronted countless challenges as a united front. This is just another one, albeit an extraordinarily peculiar one."
Yamcha, his mind still buzzing with questions, smiled and clasped his friends' shoulders. "You guys are absolutely right. Together, we can overcome anything. Let's harness this newfound power and train with an intensity like never before."
And thus, the trio forged a pact that would shape their journey over the next three years. They committed themselves to relentless training, pushing the boundaries of their latent potential to new horizons. They would evolve from mere rivals into steadfast allies, united in their quest to fathom the enigma of their transformations and ascend to levels of power they had previously only dreamed of.
As days flowed into weeks and weeks into months, their training regimen became arduous, their dedication unwavering. They sought out formidable adversaries, refined their techniques, and propelled each other to unprecedented heights. Their strength continued to burgeon, while their bonds as friends deepened even further.
The looming World Martial Arts Tournament, slated to transpire in three years' time, emerged as their ultimate objective. It would serve as their platform to showcase their newfound prowess and unearth the secrets behind their extraordinary transformation. Unbeknownst to them, their odyssey had just embarked on a fresh chapter, one brimming with challenges that would test their mettle in ways they could scarcely imagine.
