"Are you sure you want to go to the party?" I ask Adrien. We've moved from the kitchen to the living room, and we're sprawled out on the floor, putting together a puzzle. Maybe I shouldn't have told him about his dad before we got back to Paris, but there just never seemed to be the right time. "I think a party is exactly what we need tonight," Adrien says, as he fits in another piece. "Great," I tell him, standing up, a blushing taking over my cheeks. "Because I have something for you. Follow me."

I lead him to my room and over to the closet door which is shut at the moment. "I hope you like it," I feel shy all of a sudden. "Ta-da!" A black suit hangs in the closet, and even though I didn't make this particular suit, I think Adrien will look hot in it. "Don't worry, there's no bow-tie," I giggle.

"Great, because I didn't know what to wear." "Oh, you look good in anything," I tell him airily with a wave of my hand, and I yelp as Adrien sheds his shirt. "Wow, you are ripped!" I should leave, but I can't help but be impressed by his muscles especially in the chest area. "Thanks. And if I look good in anything, does that mean you'll make a shirt out of a potato sack for me?" I laugh, backing out of the room. "No. I'm going to fix my hair and then we can take off."

I know its a casual party if its down by the beach, but hey, how many times does Adrien get to get dressed up and not have someone taking photos of him? I'm guessing not very often. I braid my hair in the French braid style, then wait for Adrien to come downstairs.

"Do I look okay?" Adrien walks down the stairs, looking a bit nervous. His suit fits him perfectly, like I knew it would, but I have to giggle as his hair is a little floofy. "Perfect. Now, let's go have some fun."

I hold his hand as we walk out into the warm tropical night. I love the changing seasons of Paris, but here on the island, it always feels like summer and the people are even warmer.

"What makes you escape to here?" Adrien asks later as we sit by ourselves around a small fire, and balance our food plates on our laps. "Because they don't just see as Ladybug here," I say. "Even if the mask stays on here, they accept me for who I am." "Love, I would accept you too, if you took off the mask. I'm not going to walk away, I promise." "I want to believe you, but I'm scared," I whisper. "Scared of what?" "Losing you." I suddenly need to be alone, to stop this pounding in my heart. "I'm going to take a walk to calm down. But when I come back, you'll save me a dance, right?" Adrien's eyes glow like Cat's in the moonlight. "I'd only dance with you, my love." "Right," I take a deep breath, trying to settle my nerves. "See you soon."

As soon as I can't see him anymore, I power up and dive beneath the waves. With the strong moonlight on the water tonight, there's no danger of me being lost.

I watch the colorful fish as I swim by, thinking. They don't worry about how they look or if they are clumsy. Their…..just themselves.

I sit down on a rock, and watch the waves tumble back and forth on the surface. The repetitiveness is calming, and I start to feel better. But then something happens, and I don't know if I'm awake or dreaming, or I hit my head on a rock. Cat Noir is peeking round a side of a rock, and his smile is so beautiful and playful, it nearly knocks the breath out of me.

Floating up from my rock, I swim over. "Is the dream? No, it must be, because I don't remember you following us into the portal, Kitty." "Then we better make the most of our time together before you wake up, M'lady. Would care to dance with me under the sea?" He holds out his hand, and I slowly place my hand in his. Dancing underwater is a bit more difficult, but here the tide rocks us gently back and forth, and we cling to each other less we be swept apart. Cat seems so real, so solid, and warm. And I want to take off my mask. But even just thinking it makes my heart start to pound, but then I have a idea. "Come for a swim with me? I have a idea." "You've come to right curious, Kitty, Bugaboo. Lead the way."

I kick out strongly and I strike out in the direction of a small cave. Once at the entrance, I stop and tread water. "I want to show you who I am soon beneath my mask," I whisper to Cat. "I was thinking, we could into the cave where its dark and we could both transform, and hold hands."

"I'm all for it, my love, but your plan only has one slight problem. My night-vision." Drat, I didn't think of that, unless….. "Lucky Charm!" A blindfold drops into the water, and Cat grabs it before it can float away on the tide. He winks at me as he ties it around his face, and holds out his hand to me. "We'll only have seconds, but let's do this, Kitty."

Once we enter the cave, with my heart beating in my ears I whisper two little words: "Spots Off." I hear Cat's muffled voice, glad our hands are still linked, but then leather turns to skin.

Oh, how soft is hands feel in mine, and I only have mere seconds but my hands roam his face. To soon its time to transform again, but after its safe again to talk, I start to giggle. "I love your little giggle, love, but what's funny this time?" "You," I laugh. "You sounded like a fish." "A cat-fish who's ready to go ashore. I'll see you soon, M'lady." He blows me a kiss of bubbles and I blow one back.

That went better then I planned, but there's no time to dwell on it now. Adrien will be getting worried as I promised him I wouldn't be gone long. I swim up to the surface, breaking the surface. Once out of the water, I immediately begin to search for Adrien.

But he finds me first, grabbing me by the waist and twirling me into his arms. "There you are. You look radiant." I want to tell him about my encounter with Cat, but I feel like that should be a secret between me and my partner. "I feel much better after a swim. Hey, why is your hair all wet?" I ask. "I may have had a clumsy moment and fallen into the water." I laugh. "Been there." "You want to dance some more?" "I could dance all night with you, if you'd let me." My cheeks heat, and I have to look away. "Tempting, but didn't my boyfriend tell me something about beauty sleep?" I flirt, tapping my chin.

Its hard to go back to Paris after the wonderful evening, even if the day started off low. As I lie in bed before going to sleep I draw who I thought was under the mask in the cave, and I draw Adrien. I close my eyes and wish that Cat would be Adrien.

I fall asleep, picture against my chest. Tomorrow will come soon enough, and the sooner I can get back to Adrien, where I feel loved and whole.

As Marinette slept, a man walked down the streets of Paris, his cane tapping along the ground. He knew a plan to flush Cat and Ladybug out of hiding, even if he wore a disguise. He walked into the shadowed alleyway, waiting for the sun's return.

He planned a masquerade and surely they wouldn't turn down his wishes, for he had once been the most celebrated designer in Paris, if not the world. He would take the earrings, somehow and Cat's ring, and make his wish, to bring his wife back. Two earrings, one ring. So small and yet so powerful like the holders the wielded them.

Daylight could not come quickly enough for both Hawkmoth or Ladybug, and have something in common was rare.

At last, the sun rose, casting its golden light over the city, and the Butterfly Man started to make his plan, while Ladybug slept on, unaware of the evil man.

Marinette woke with a start, heart beating quickly. Something was off, but she couldn't place her finger on it.

All she knew is she needed to get Adrien's and fast. Uttering a quick "Spots On!" she off. Adrien, still deeply asleep was unaware of the girl who dropped into his room, and breathed a silent sigh of relief. Adrien was safe, and he was not harmed. But maybe another member of her team who lived here would be awake, for she could smell coffee brewing.

Tiptoeing out of Adrien's room, she headed downstairs and headed for the kitchen. Felix looked up from the pancakes he was trying to make, and gave her a greeting and an invitation.
