A day after the sudden growth spurt, Lloyd was on the deck of the Bounty with the boys surrounding him and sister.
"Your older form, is a fighting instrument. Like every instrument it has a melody that it alone can play," Wu instructed as Lloyd and Lydie assumed a meditative stance while the others got their weapons ready, "Listen to it, harmonize it. Only then will you improve upon it and synchronize it with your sisters." He instructed.
Cole raised his scythe to strike but Lydie jumped over Lloyd, giving him the chance to kick Cole back. Then as Jay and Kai moved to strike, Lloyd grabbed Jay's Nunchucks and Lydie redirected Kai's sword before the two siblings threw both the red and blue Ninja away. Lydie then sent a signal to Lloyd and then she ducked while Lloyd spin jumped, avoiding Zane shurikens.
Nya then came up on a deck with a watermelon which was the only thing that protected her from Zane's shurikens as they struck the fruit. Nya gave a startled gasp before she gave Zane a glare as he gasped for his mistake.
Nya shook it off as she turned to Wu. "Since Lloyd's grown, he's learning faster, Sensei." She commented with a smile. "He's gotten as good as Lydie now."
"But will it be enough to challenge Lord Garmadon?" Wu questioned as the Garmadon Siblings stood back to back while Lydie put away her staff, "Only time will tell."
Lloyd then turned to face his sister, as she stood before him with her fists up and he mirrored her stance. Lydie struck first with some punches which Lloyd blocked, shifting stances. Lloyd then went for a round house kick but Lydie ducked under it. As he land behind her, Lloyd tries to go for a straight punch to the back of Lydie's head, but she does a head fake and smirked while Lloyd was surprised.
Lydie then tripped him and pushed Lloyd back before he landed on his hands and gave her a spin kick to the face. Knocking her back. Lloyd then flipped back to his feet as Lydie rubbed her face and then pulled out and spun around her staff before pointing it out.
"Hiya!" Lydie called out as she took a stance and spun her staff as Lloyd gave a battle cry back.
Lydie then jabbed her staff forwarded but Lloyd caught it. They were caught in struggle of strength as Lloyd powered up his green energy while Lydie tried to push him back.
But then at the last second, Lydie pulled her staff away, breaking Lloyd's focus and causing him to fall over.
Lloyd panted and looked up to see Lydie holding him at weapon point with a grin, "Ha, ha," Lydie chuckled before she put away her staff. "You're getting pretty good, bro. But that move you fell for was Basic 101." She commented as she helped Lloyd to his feet.
"Yeah, if I had focused more when I was little, I would have seen that coming," Lloyd complained.
"We cannot change the past, but we can improve for the future," Wu told his nephew. "Again. And this time, do not hold back."
"Um, guysss? Hate to interrupt but you might wanna look up," Burmesia said over the Comm, "Zane'sss Falcon just came back."
They all looked to the sky and sas the robotic bird landed on Zane's arm.
"And he's returned with troubling news," Zane said as a chip was removed from the Falcon. "What did you see, my mechanical feathered friend?"
The chip was plugged into the main monitor of the bridge and they all saw what the recording was showing as it showed Serpentine training in a familiar city.
"The Lossst City of Ouroborosss!" Burmesia said in shock.
"How? I thought it was destroyed when the Devourer was first released." Lydie said in surprise.
"Looks like they did some repairs after we got the Bounty back." Nya theorized.
"Garmadon has returned to the Serpentine home base, but why?" Kai questioned in wonder.
Cole then noted how the Serpentine were training hard, "Looks like they're preparing for a final battle!" He guessed.
Wu then turned to Nya with a serious expression. "Nya, change course, we'll head straight for them." he ordered. as Nya saluted.
The Bounty then did an immediate U-Turn in the sky as it change to the direction the City of Ouroboros is as the Ninja prepared for a fight as they geared up.
That night, the Ninja snuck off their ship and into the city. Meanwhile Garmadon was overseeing the Serpentine upgrading their vehicles.
"More firepower!" Garmadon demanded. "When we attack the Ninja, they won't see it coming! Our forces will be so strong, Ninjago will be mine!" He declared as a Fangpyre turned to him with his blowtorch accidentally heating up the Mega Weapon. Garmadon saw this as he quickly got his Weapon away from the blowtorch as the Fangpyre gave a sheepish expression as he scratched his head.
Little did he know that the heroes had already snuck their way into the city and once they were all in position, it was time.
"NINJA, GO!" Wu appeared in a Spinjitzu in front of his brother before stopping.
"Oh, brother!" Garmadon growled.
Wu narrowed his eyes at his brother, "It's time we finished this." He seriously said as the boys, Burmesia and Nya appeared beside him.
"Bring it on fools." Garmadon said as he prepared o use his Mega Weapon before Lloyd and Lydie jumped in and used their powers to shoot beams of ice at the weapon and froze it. Garmadon looked at the two who froze his weapon, he recognized his daughter but was shocked when he saw Lloyd's Gi. "L-Lloyd? Is that you?" He breathed out in frightened shock.
"Yeah." Lloyd confirmed. "I've grown a little since the last time you saw me, Dad." He said.
"And a little hiccup growth spurt during the time you turned us into kids when you revived the Grundal!" Lydie added in frustration.
"...What?" Garmadon asked in surprise as he looked at his Mega Weapon, "This weapon is more powerful than I believed." He muttered to himself.
"Yeah, so you either surrender now or you're the one who's gonna be extinct next." Lloyd challenged.
Garmadon was torn between using his Weapon or facing his children as he turned to the Serpentine. "Stop them!" He ordered as he ran away As the Serpentine kept the Ninja busy, the Garmadon ran into a building and He beat the ice off his weapon as he shouted in anger. "Ah! Blast these Ninja!" He yelled as he smashed the Mega Weapon against the wall. "If only they weren't around. If only they never existed!" He yelled out as he got the last of the ice off his Weapon.
After yelling his rant, an idea struck Garmadon by what he just said. "Yes. Yes, that's it! I wish to go back in time and make it so the Ninja were never formed in the first place!" he commanded the weapon as its power merged with his magic, creating a portal before them. Strangely though Garmadon did not feel tired, but he shrug it off as it wasn't important. "Now, to finish the Ninja once and for all, so that my children never become the Ninjas of Yin & Yang!" He declared as he jump into the portal.
The Ninja burst through the door as they race in and saw a portal in the middle of the room, which only means one thing.
"He use the Mega Weapon again!" Cole grumbled.
"Oh, swell!" Jay complained. "Every time he uses that thing, something really bad happens!"
"The question is: What did father wish for this time!?" Lydie questioned the obvious before the door behind them closed on its own and sand begin to rise below them.
"What's going on?" Cole questioned.
"Uh, isss the city sssinking?" Burmesia asked as the sand was rising.
"Not qquite, The city is returning back into the desert, as if it had never been found in the first place." Zane summarizes dreadfully.
"What?! What does that mean?!" Kai asked desperately.
"What's happening?" Nya questioned desperately as well.
"Garmadon's gone back in time to make it so Lloyd and Lydie never turned into the Ninjas of Yin & Yang!" Zane concluded as he pointed at the Garmadon siblings.
Lydie looked at herself as she felt fine. "I don't get it. I feel fine." She said before she turned to her brother. "Lloyd, what about you?" She asked.
"I can't… I can't feel my hands." Lloyd answered as he felt himself fading, which made Lydie and the others gasped in worried.
"Oh no, it's already happening!" Lydie feared as she knew it wouldn't be long before she started fading too. She then turned to the portal, "Come on, we have to go through!" She called out as she and the boys were the closest to the vortex.
"If he changes anything, he changes everything." Wu warned the five, "Protect our future Ninja!" he instructed.
The five Ninja then jumped into the portal as they all screamed as they traveled through the portal.
Meanwhile in the vortex, the Ninja were screaming before they fell out and crash-landed in a river.
"Ohhh… remind me to pack a helmet next time we travel across space and time," Jay asked as they resurfaced.
"Where are we?" Cole asked as he looked around.
"You mean when are we?" Zane corrected.
Kai looked around as he was familiar with the area and the building up head. "'Four Weapons'. Huh, my parents' shop! Nya and I used to work there." He commented with a fond smile at the memory before he realize something. "Hey, wait a minute. This is the day Garmadon ordered the Skulkin to to take my sister. We need to warn them!" He cried out in a panic.
"Whoa, whoa. Slow down, Kai. You heard what Uncle Wu said: change anything, change everything." Lydie reminded him.
Jay turned to her with confused look, "Yeah, I'm still confused by what he meant by that." He said.
Zane then spoke. "What he means is, our world is the result of past events that have already happened. If for whatever reasons events in our past fail to happen, then the future could radically change." He explained.
"Er… So what you're saying is, we gotta stop Garmadon from changing anything." Jay summarize. "But of all the times, why did we land here?" He questioned.
"Yeah, I wasn't here at the start before." Lydie pointed out, "Why is this moment in time so important?" She wondered.
"'Cause this is where I first started." Kai said as they look to see past Kai and Nya in the blacksmith shop as past Kai is wearing his blacksmith suit. "Today I met Sensei Wu for the first time and began my training as a Ninja. Somehow, Garmadon is gonna try to prevent that, but how?" He wondered as he looked on at his family shop while looking at his past self and sister.
Cole sighed, "If only Sensei were here to guide us now." He said and then as if the universe answered his pleas, Wu was walking across the path to the Blacksmith's Shop.
"Oh look, there he is! Maybe he can!" Jay called out as he pointed to Wu as the others saw them.
"We gotta tell him what Garmadon has done." Cole said.
Lydie held them back though, "But we can't let Past Kai and Nya see us talking to him or find out we talked to him, otherwise we'll end up changing the past ourselves." She told the boys before turning to Kai. "Kai, you know this event better than any of us. Do you have a plan?" She asked the fire ninja
Kai think of a plan until it came to him. "I know exactly what to do. Follow my lead." He said as the Ninja stealthy went up to the shop without the past versions of Wu, Kai and Nya noticing, as Past Kai spoke to Wu.
"And the shop is called 'Four Weapons', not 'For Browsing'." Past Kai pointed out as he stood close to Wu. "Either buy something, or go peddle your insults somewhere else." He rudely said.
Wu simply humphed and turned away, "Too bad. Thought I might find something special here." He said, walking out of the shop as Nya turned to her brother.
Once outside the shop, Wu was then grabbed from behind by Present Kai. "Sensei, we need your help?" Kai whispered as he dragged Wu to where the others are.
"Whoa, whoa. Wait a minute." Jay spoke out as they all took off their masks. "If we're trying to stop Garmadon from changing anything, wouldn't talking to Sensei kind of be like altering the past, thus changing the future?" He asked.
"Correct, I believe a big 'Oopsie Daisy' is an order?" Zane guessed as Wu looked at them greatly confused.
"Uh?" Wu asked in confusion.
"Well, we can't undo what we've already done. It's too late for that." Lydie pointed out before turning to her past uncle. "Uncle, we really need your help." She told him.
"Uncle?" Wu asked before he recognized her face. "Lydie? Is that you?" He asked in shock as he looked at the boys. "All five of you… You… You…" He tried to find the right words.
"Traveled back in time to warn you of impending doom? Yes, I know this is a lot to take in," Lydie explained, "But if we don't do something all of Ninjago itself could be lost, can you help us?" She asked.
"I don't understand, but I'll try." Wu said, not fully understanding the situation but would still help as best he can.
"Okay." Kai said as he stood forward. "Any moment now, the Samukai and the Skulkin are going to attack and we think Garmadon may try to hurt me. I mean, the past me." He explained.
"Garmadon?" Wu said as he didn't realize his brother was involved.
"Not yours, at least not right now, but ours. My father from our time who traveled back in time before us," Lydie tried to explained but gave up, "It's complicated, right now we need to make sure things turn out the way they're suppose to be." She said.
"Which is why we have to do everything in our power to protect my past self!" Kai added.
At that moment, dark clouds then started appearing over Ignacia as the villagers turned and saw them as the Skulkin Army appeared in the distance with Samukai leading them as Wu was about to step in but Kai stop him and shook his head, telling him not yet.
"Let me go first!" Past Nuckal eagerly. "Please, oh please. I'm dying to go down there."
Garmadon listened to Kruncha and Nuckal arguing while hiding at the back the vehicle while holding a skeleton mask as he shook his head in annoyance. "Why did I ever trust these numbskulls?" He questioned himself, trying to remember why he put up with the Skeletons when they literally had no brains.
"Attack!" Samukai ordered as the Skeleton army charged through the area as the villagers saw them as Samukai gave them a spook look. "Boo!" He yelled, which caused the villagers to scream and run away.
At the shop, Past Kai and Nya saw them coming. "What are they?" Nya asked her brother, who has put on an armor and draw a sword.
"I don't know. Stay here." Kai said to his sister as he puts on a helmet and went out to face the skeletons as he swung his sword at them.
"Well, can we help or not?" Lydie asked her friends and Past Uncle as they turned to Wu.
"Don't look at me." Wu said, still reeling from all this time travel stuff, "I may be wise, but not enough when it comes to warriors from the future." He pointed out.
"Technically, since the past has already been altered, I don't see why we can't fight a few Skeletons, just as long you former self never sees you." Zane stated.
"Ha! You made my day, Zane." Jay cheered as he turned and saw three Skeletons behind them as he drew his nunchucks. "I missed beating these guys up. Whoa-ah!" He yelled as the skeletons took off their arms and use them as nunchucks as they swung them around before Jay kicked a couple around. "NINJA, GO!" He did Spinjitzu as he knocked them out as he stopped. "Ha, ha!" He cheered.
Kai then turned to Wu. "Watch fro when Samukai throw his daggers. And don't forget to save me." He told him.
"Huh?" Wu asked, tilting his head.
Kai moaned as he shook his head. "It'll all make sense when it happens." He told him.
Nya then came out of the shop with a staff as she knocked a couple of skeletons away as she face her brother with a smirk.
Past Kai looked at his sister in concern, "I thought I told you to stay back?" He reminded her as the two siblings stood back to back as they fought the skeletons.
"And what? Let you have all the fun?" Nya asked as Kruncha and Nuckal snuck behind them.
Lydie frowned at Nya's cockiness as she shook her head before facing Kai. "Let me guess, this is when Nya could've stopped the Skulkin from getting away with the map if she stayed in the shop like you told her." She guessed with a raised brow.
"Well, at the time, I wouldn't want my sister to fight them, but yeah." Kai said with a shrug while rubbing his head. "Now that I think about it, we would've had the map sooner if she stayed put." He said sheepishly.
Lydie said with a sigh. "Somethings never change." She said, reminding herself to have a talk with the present Nya when they got back, while also wondering how they would get back at all once they stop her father.
Past Kai then face Samukai with chuckle and raised his sword. Samukai chuckled back and revealed his arms with his daggers, which made Past Kai pause. "Oops." He said, realizing he might of bit off more than he could chew.
The two then clashed blades but Past Kai was overwhelmed by Samukai's strikes as he lost his sword and was knocked to the ground as Samukai was about to strike him while spinning his daggers.
"Sensei!" Kai called out, telling Wu that now is the right moment.
"I'm on it!" Wu said as he rushed into battle. "NINJA, GO!" he did Spinjitzu and knocked Past Samukai back a few times coming to a halt.
"Sensei Wu, your Spinjitzu looks rusty," Samukai told him.
"Nothing like bone to sharpen its edge, Samukai." Wu responded.
Samukai took notice of Past Kai before he looked at a water tower behind Wu. Samukai chuckled before he threw his daggers right at Wu, who dodged the daggers which then hit the legs of the water tower, causing it to tip over. Wu saw the tower falling over as Past Kai was trying to get out of the way before he was going to get crushed by it. "NINJA, GO!" Wu shouted as he did Spinjitzu and saved Past FKai from being crushed by the water tower as Samukai returned to the big machine on four wheels.
"Lord Garmadon says, take the girl!" Samukai commanded but before Kruncha could fire Garmadon came up, knocked him aside and deliberately fired the grapple cannon to miss Nya. "Oh, you missed!" Samukai said to Garmadon before commanding to his army, "Retreat!"
As the Skulltruck backed up, Nuckal was shocked to two Kai. One is wearing an amor while the other was wearing a red Ninja outfit. "What is it?" Past Kruncha asked, but Nuckal could not explained seeing two of the exact same person in the same place.
"Uh...it's nothing," Nuckal told before the Skeletons retreated with the the map to the Golden Weapons.
Back in the present, Wu saw dark clouds blanketing over the city. "Oh, my goodness," Wu gasped. Meanwhile in the Ninja's Picture, with Lloyd in the middle being held by Lydie by the shoulders, the Green Ninja began to vanish.
Back in the past, Past Kai and Nya are sharing a hug at seeing each other okay while Wu and the Future Ninja hid behind the water tower.
Kai turned and saw that Nya was still here. "Oh, this isn't good." He said in worry.
"Why? We saved you and your sister," Wu pointed out.
"No you don't understand," Kai said. "The Skulkin were supposed to get away with Nya. The only reason you convince me to become a Ninja in the first was to get her back!"
Wu the understood. "Oh, I see," he murmured and looked down.
"Sensei, no matter what, you need to convince Kai to go with you." Zane instructed.
"Why?" Jay asked as he was clueless about their predicament.
"Because, if Kai doesn't become a Ninja, the world as we know it won't exist," ZAne told him. "The five of us will never unite and get the Golden Weapons. We'll never unlock our elemental powers, We'll never train Lloyd to become the Green Ninja of Yin alongside Lydie." He explained.
Lydie quickly turned to her past uncle. "Pretend you didn't hear that part." She said to her Past Uncle as he nodded in understanding. Before she turned to Jay. "And most importantly, Nya will never fall head over heels for you and save you from turning into a snake, Jay." She finished.
That did it.
With a horrified expression Jay immediately zipped over to Wu, grabbing his arm as he shook him around. "No matter what, you need to convince him to go with you!" He begged but then covered his mouth when Past Kai came over and Wu gestured to the Present Ninja to hide as they went behind the downed water tower.
Past Kai gave a grateful sigh. "Thanks for your help." He said with a small smile. "If it wasn't for your 'twsit-itzu' or your 'tornad-zu', I would've been flatten right now and my sister would have been taken." He said.
The Present Ninja looked at present Kai after hearing what his past self called Spinjitzu as he gave a nervous grin and scratched the back of his head.
"Spinjitzu." Wu corrected. "Uh… Come, we must train. You must become a Ninja." He told Past Kai.
Past Kai gave a small laugh from that as Nya came up to them. "Sorry, but I got a blacksmith shop to help get back on its feet, so-" He tried to reason.
"No. You must come!" Wu quickly interrupted as he tried to find the right words without altering history as it already is. "It is very important that you become a Ninja. We must harness the fire within you."
Past Kai felt unsure about this until his sister spoke. "Hold on, Kai, maybe there's a reason this man came into our lives." Nya said thoughtfully. "Father always said the world works in mysterious ways. I think it sounds kind of exciting." She said eagerly.
Lydie quietly facepalmed herself until she remembered they were in the past. "Was Nya always this eager for adventure?" She asked Kai quietly.
"You have no idea." Kai sighed as he shook his head.
Past Kai gave a small smile at his sister. "Ha. Okay, if you wanna become a Ninja, fine by me, but I'm only going 'cause you want to." He said to her as the three began to walk off to the Monastery.
"Oh, great. He's going. We saved the future!" Jay cheered.
Zane however ended his celebration. "Not so fast. We still have to make sure he becomes a Ninja, in order for everything to get back on track," he told him.
"He's right," Lydie said. "Let's stay close, but not too close." She said as the Ninja then followed them in the shadows as they stay out of sight.
Meanwhile, the Skulkin were driving through the desert while Nuckal seemed to be playing 'Eye-Spy', "Kruncha, do you see two trees or one?" He asked, pointing to a pair of trees ahead of them.
"Two, you imbecile!" Kruncha shouted in an annoyed tone.
"Stop fooling around!" Samukai told Nuckal. "We may have the map but we failed to get the Water Master's Daughter, and now Lord Garmadon is really going to let us have it!"
"Well, I just wanted to know if I wasn't seeing double," Nuckal explained. "I thought I saw the same guy twice back there. Only one of them was wearing armor and the other was wearing a red Ninja suit." Present Garmadon overheard him and knew what he was talking about.
"Two?" Garmadon said to himself quietly. "So the Ninja have followed me here, and they think they can stop me? They are as annoying as they are troublesome!" He said in frustration before he gave a thought. "Well, two can place at this game." He said as the Skeleton army drove off across the desert in the sunset.
Meanwhile at the Spinjitzu Monastery, the Present Ninja were observing Past Kai's training as he was hitting a punching bag while Nya was running on a wheel as Past Kai punched the bag but it hit him back as he fell to the floor.
"You must focus, Kai," Wu told Past Kai as he rubbed his head. "Harness the fire that is around us."
"Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah." Past Kai said as he stood back up and walked.
Kai feels embarrassed by his past self, facepalmed himself. "Oh, I'm worthless," He moaned.
"It's like you don't even want to be a Ninja." Jay commented.
"Look, I told you. The only reason I became a Ninja was to rescue my sister." Kai reminded them as they saw Nya running on the wheel while hitting some dummies.
"But with Nya here, he's not interested in becoming one." Lydie noted as she looked at Nya putting in the real effort. "If anything, Nya's the one who has the real drive to be a Ninja."
"If Kai doesn't learn to be a Ninja, our future will be destroyed." Zane reminded them.
"Ah. Even when Garmadon does something good, it's always evil." Cole complained.
"That's my father for ya. Finding ways to do good while still doing something evil on the side." Lydie commented as she saw Wu and Past Kai as Past Kai leaned against a stool. "Uncle Wu isn't cutting the mustard. Guess it's up to us to get things back on track." She stated.
"I thought you said not to get involved." Jay pointed out. "'Change anything, change everything'." He reminded her.
"That was before my father altered the past and changed the future. Now we gotta clean up the mess, and quick." Lydie said as she brought out a picture of her with her brother and the others. "Look." She said as she showed the boys Lloyd was fading from the photo. "My brother's picture is fading away, like he was never part of our team. Time is already changing."
"Oh man, this is just like in Deadly Battle 5, we're doomed guys! DOOOOM!" Jay despaired.
Cole immediately got behind and shook him. "Calm down man!" He yelled as quietly as he could as Jay snapped out of it. "We just need to fix the mess Garmadon made to get things back in order." He said calmly.
"He's right." Zane said as they turned to him. "The only way to save our future is for Kai to find his fire." He said while looking at Kai.
"But-What're ya tryin' to say, Zane?" Jay asked in confusion.
"I'm saying, we have to give Kai his motivation back." Zane translate as they looked at Nya, "We have to kidnap Nya and deliver her to the hands of the Skulkin." He explained.
Kai felt uncomfortable about kidnapping his sister as he sighs. "If that's what it takes." He said as he looked at his past self trying to balance on a pole as Wu pointed his stick at Past Kai. "Okay, but if it's all right with you guys, I've got an idea on how I could talk some sense into myself." He said, having an idea on how to talk his past self into taking Wu seriously.
"You three can handle that part, I'm gonna do a little searching on how we can get back to the our own time once we stop my father." Lydie told Cole, Zane and Jay.
The boys then realize what she was saying. "Oh right, we never thought about how we're gonna get back home once we fix things." Jay said sheepishly.
"Dang it. We never thought of that before the portal closed." Cole groaned before turning to Lydie. "But how are you gonna find us a way back?"
"Well, Uncle Wu has many scrolls in the Monastery before it was burn down." Lydie reminded, looking at Wu's study, "Maybe there's something about Time Travel in there. Besides, this is also the day Wu left to find me and start my training, so I should be able to look around freely." She pointed out as they all nodded in understanding.
At nighttime, the Present Ninja snuck over the roof while Wu was out to get Lydie's past self and eventually slipped into Nya's room. Jay leaned close to Nya and brushed her hair, trying not to wake her up, "Oh, now that we're up close, this feels a whole lot harder." He said to his friends.
"Keep it together, Jay. We have to do this to keep things on track." Cole reminded them. "Time to play our parts." He said as they each put on skeletons masks.
"We'll have to act quickly while Kai is keeping himself busy while Lydie search through the scrolls." Zane said to them.
Nya woke up when she heard something and only had enough time to gasp before she was stuffed into a sack.
Meanwhile Lydie, silently crept into Wu's Study as she looked at the amount of scrolls he has.
"Whoa. I completely forgotten how much scrolls he kept." Lydie said as she started looking through the scrolls, "Let see, Dragons and demons, Element descendants, sixteen realms? Wow, Uncle Wu sure has a lot of secrets." She commented before she kept searching. "A list of his favorite teas? He's really got issues." She said weirdly. "But now I know which tea is his favorite. That explains what he put in those things and-hey, what's this?" She then noticed a gray and dark green scroll.
Lydie took out the scroll and read the name on it, "Morro, The Master of Wind?" She asked as she opened and read through the scroll. She could hardly understand some of the ancient language, but she did got one word down,"'My first pupil'?" She read as she was surprised by this discovery.
"Wait, so Uncle Wu had another student before me and the boys, and had elemental powers like us?" Lydie asked herself before she shook her head. "Focus Lydie. Gotta find at least something involving time travel." She said as she got back to the scrolls while mentally reminding herself to ask her uncle in the present about this 'Morro'.
Meanwhile in Past Kai's room, he was brushing his teeth and when he bent down to spit, present Kai put down the mirror before his past self looked up, starting to mimic his movements. Past Kai felt there was something off about his mirror as he brushed his hair and even cleaned it off. "Hey, dummy!" Present Kai spoke and frightened his past self. "Yeah, I'm talking to you."
"Me?" Past Kai asked as he still thinks it's just his reflection.
"Would you get your head on straight and start listening to Sensei?" Present Kai asked. "The fate of the world kind of rests on it." He explained as Past Kai was greatly confused by this.
Outside on the roof, Cole, Zane and Jay, who wa carrying Nya in the bag, were waiting for Kai and Lydie.
"Unhand me, skeletons!" Nya demanded from inside the bag.
"Oh, we're so sorry, Nya." Jay apologized to the past version of his girlfriend as Cole bonked him on the head.
"How'd you know my name!?" Nya demanded angrily as Jay realized his mistake. "Oh when my brother finds out about this, you'll be sorry!"
Cole however smiled, "Actually he'll be quite relived." He retorted, though he was referring to the future version of Nya's brother, "Now we just wait for Kai to finish talking to himself and Lydie to find that time travel scroll, get Nya to those Boneheads and then it's smooth sailing." He said confidently.
Zane looked down as he notice something. "Uh, Cole I wouldn't be too sure, we've got company." He said as he pointed out.
The three looked down and saw three Ninja's in black Ninja Gis as they looked up and saw the three.
"Uaaah!" Jay called out nervously as they recognize the three Ninja. "Isn't that, uh, us?" He asked them, now remembering that they were supposed to do a sneak attack on Kai for his final test before Lydie came.
"Better lower our masks, so they don't recognize us." Cole instructed as the three lowered their masks so their cover won't be blown.
Soon a fight between Past and Present Ninja broke out as both Jays were fighting down in the courtyard, matching blow for blow. On the right side of the rooftops, Zane brought out his shurikens at his past self before Cole stopped him.
"Let's not hurt ourselves, boys. I hate to leave a mark." Cole warned Zane as the Ice Ninja put away his shurikens and uses floor tiles as projectiles as he threw him at his past self while Past Zane blocked them.
"Kai! Help!" Nya screamed from her bag again.
Inside the Bathroom, the Kais heard their sister screaming, "Huh? Nya!" Past Kai yelled in concern.
"HELP!" Nya screamed against as past Kai charged out of the bathroom.
"H-hey! I wasn't done talking to you!" Kai called out. "You can't leave!"
"Why not?!" Past Kai turned to him. "You're just my reflection!" He pointed out.
Kai know that it's gonna be hard to explain to his past self since he knows how protective he is to Nya, so he did the only thing he could, he punched his past self in the face, knocking him out. "Sorry, but I can't have you spoiling our plans." He apologized as he jumped out of the mirror.
Lydie then pulled out a scroll and smiled at the label, "Aha! Scroll of Temporal voyage, this must be it!" She declared before she heard the sound of fighting outside, "Oh no, what did those boys do?" She questioned as rolled up the scroll and rushed out while grabbing her skeleton mask.
Once outside she immediately saw the boys fighting…themselves, "Huh, guess Kai was suppose to go through the same test I did." She commented.
Kai then rushed outside as he saw his friends fighting themselves. "Oh. Why does time travel have to be so complicated?" He asked, mentally kicking himself for not remembering his final test.
And then, the bag that Nya is inside started rolling off the roof and onto the floor as she screamed inside.
"Nya!" Kai and Lydie yelled as the ran over and caught her.
Kai then looked to Lydie, "Did you find something?" He asked.
"You mean the scroll we need to get home?" Lydie asked with a smirk behind her mask as she brought out the scroll. "Sure did. Wonder why Wu even have this?" She questioned.
"Who cares! We have a way back!" Kai exclaimed as they both then climbed up the roof as he held up the bags. "Guys, let's get out of here before Garmadon comes after us!" He said in a deep voice, disguising his voice so that their cover won't be blown.
The boys then did Spinjitzu on their past selves as the past Ninja fell to the floor as the present Ninja hide.
Just then, Wu and Past Lydie came rushing into the Monastery once they heard the fighting, "What the heck happened here?" Past Lydie asked as she looked down at the past Ninja.
"It was the Skulkin!" Wu said, knowing what happened while also having a feeling his future pupils had something to do with this to keep the timeline intact. "And they took Nya!" He added as Past Kai joined them.
Past Kai turned to Wu in shock. "Huh? They took my sister?!" He asked in horror. "NOOOO!" He yelled in despair for failing to protect his sister.
Back in the present, the dark clouds dispersed as Lloyd reappeared in the picture back on the Bounty. This had meant that the Ninja repaired the damage done in the past.
Wu sighed in relief, "Thank goodness." He said to himself, but feared it wasn't over.
Back in the past at the same time, Lydie took out the photo again as she saw her brother reappearing as she gave a small sigh in relief with a smile as she showed the picture to the others, who all smiled in relief that they fixed the timeline.
Wu then comfort the saddened Past Kai. "We will get your sister back." He assured as the others looked down as Kai gave a smile at the outcome. "But first, I want you to meet your team and your new leader." He said as he introduce to the rest of the boys and Past Lydie as the past boys took off their masks.
Kai then turned to the others. "Looks like the fire returned." Kai said to his friends.
"Just in time for the Darkness to rise." Lydie added as they all left the Monastery.
They soon traveled through forest bounding across tree to tree to find where the Skulkin were based. "All we gotta do to get things back on track is to deliver Nya to the Skeletons!" Lydie said as they kept on leaping.
"This way! I can see smoke from a campfire!" Kai said as they kept on jumping. Meanwhile the Skeletons, including the disguised villains, were roasting marshmallows. Samukai walks up to Past Kruncha and hit him on the head.
"This is no time to celebrate! We may have gotten the the map, but we didn't get the water girl!" Samukai scolded them. "How would you like to go back to the Underworld and tell Lord Garmadon that we failed?!"
Frustrated, Kruncha got up and walked to a tree. "'How would you like to tell Lord Garmadon that we failed?'" Kruncha mocked his master as he sat down.
From the top of the tree that he was sitting under, the Ninja had dropped the sack with Nya inside in front of Kruncha, scaring him when it landed. He looked up to see who dropped it, only to see no one up there. He then peaked into the sack and saw it was Nya glaring at him before closing it up and blinked a few times in surprise.
"Uh, Samukai? How would you like to go back to the Underworld and tell Lord Garmadon that we succeeded?" Kruncha asked smugly.
"What are you blabbing on about?!" Samukai asked before Kruncha came over with the sack and showed him what he meant. He gasped as he saw Nya glaring at him, "What?! But?! How did you?!" he sputtered as he looked at Kruncha.
Kruncha just shrugged and grinned. "Weeelll…" He started before receiving two fists to the face.
"Give me that!" Samukai shouted as snatched the bag. "Back to the Underworld!" He declared as the Skeletons returned to their vehicles. The Skeletons may not know how this was possible, but the disguised future version of their master did. He know it was the work of the Present Ninja but weren't too worried for they had a plan.
In the Underworld, Samukai kneeled before past Lord Garmadon as he sits in his throne. "Well...?" Past Lord Garmadon asked with a brow.
"I'm pleased to say our mission was a success, master,"Samukai answered. "We have both the map and the Master of Water's successor." Past Lord Garmadon gave an evil grin to what he heard.
"Good," Past Garmadon with a chuckle. "Now leave me be and head for the Caves of Despair and the Scythe of Quakes."
"As you command," Past Samukai bowed and then turned and left.
Present Garmadon was hiding behind the wall as he listened. he watched as Samukai left the room and then entered himself as he encountered his past self.
"Er! What is the meaning of this!?" Past Garmadon demanded in shocked anger. "Who are you imposter?!"
"Not an Imposter, but your future self." Present Garmadon explained.
"How can this be?" Past Garmadon questioned.
"I know you are searching for father's Golden Weapons, and it is because of them that I have gone back in time and stand before you now." Present Garmadon finished.
Past Garmadon looked at his future in confusion of his appearance. "I don't understand. You have… Uh, I have four arms." He noted in shock.
Present Garmadon paid no mind as he spoke. "Yes, and I need your help to get rid of the Ninja once and for all and keep our children from becoming the ones destined to stop us."
"Wait, Lloyd and Lydie are destined to become the Ninjas of Yin and Yang?!" Past Garmadon asked in shock.
"Yes. I know, I found it hard to believe but it's the truth." Present Garmadon said. "But that is why I'm here to prevent that from happening. Listen carefully."
Present Garmadon then started whispering in his past self's ears as his future self whispered a plan for them as they broke apart as Past Garmadon gave an evil smirk. "That is truly evil." He said.
Then both Garmadons then started giving their signature evil laughters as they laughed together as they have a plan to destroy the Ninja.
Back in the present, Wu saw the dark clouds rolling over the city yet again. "Great Scott!" Wu gasped as he could tell it was worse than before.
And then, Lloyd started fading from the picture again, but this time Lydie was slowly starting to fade as well.
Back in the past, the Past Ninja were sleeping sleeping while the Present Ninja and Wu watched them from the trees. "Come on, why are we still here? I thought everything was back on track," Jay said.
"Yeah, but we have to stay and make sure all goes as planned," Cole reminded him.
Lydie groaned as she clutched her stomach, which got the others attention. "Lydie, are you alright?" Zane asked in concern.
Lydie looked at her hands worriedly, "Um, not to alarm you guys but…My hands feel numb." She said to them, which made the others worried since they heard from Lloyd that he can't feel his hands.
"Oh no." Cole said in slight panic.
"What? Is it serious?" Wu asked in concern.
Kai turned to him, "It means that Garmadon must trying to change something else!" He pointed out. "Before we got here, Lloyd said something like that, meaning that Lydie must be fading like his is."
Lydie went wide eyes as she quickly took out her photo and saw that her brother fading away again and something else that made her more worried. "Uh, guys?" She asked in worried as she show them the photo, which shows that herself is slowly fading as well.
"Oh man, whatever Garmadon is gonna do, it's gonna be big!" Jay said nervously.
"Then we must make haste." Wu said to them as they turned to him. "So what exactly happens next?" He asked.
"Our former selves have most of the Golden Weapons." Kai started. "Shadow Garmadon now have my sister, and in about one minute, I got woken up and tricked into taking the Sword of Fire with Lydie beside me, that will eventually unleash the greatest nemesis unto Ninjago." He explained.
They then looked down and saw Past Kai waking up Past Lydie as they both ran towards the Fire Temple and followed after them.
"Ugh!" Lydie grunted in pain as she stopped, kneeled down and held her chest.
"Lydie!" Wu called out in concern as he rushed to his future niece as he held her as the others turned to her.
"I-I'm fine!" Lydie grunted as she weakly got up. "The timeline is catching up to me. We gotta hurry." She said as she quickly rushed ahead as the others looked at her in great concern as they followed after to the Fire Temple.
They entered and hid behind the rock as the Sword of Fire was in the middle as Past Kai and Lydie entered.
"This is where I steal the Fire Sword and cut my sister down." Kai recounted as they looked at his and Lydie's past selves.
"Then Kai and I get attacked by our own shadows." Lydie added as they watched Nya giving up from breaking free of the chains.
Then the chains started lowering as Nya screamed.
"Nya!" Past Kai yelled as he rushed towards her.
"Tick tock. Tick tock." Past Garmadon mocked as Past Kai growled in frustration.
Past Lydie then grabbed his shoulder as he turned to her and they both nodded. The two then rushed forward as Past Lydie grabbed Past Kai's hand as she threw him towards the sword as he grabbed it and landed on the wall. "NINJA-GO!" He called out as he did Spinjitzu as he cut the chains and grabbed his sister as the two siblings landed on the ground as Lydie leapt up to them as Past Kai picked Nya up.
"You two okay?" Past Lydie asked in concern.
"We're fine." Past Kai assured as Garmadon's chuckle echoed around them. The three walked around slowly, keeping their guard up. "Stay close, Nya." Kai told his sister.
"Trust me, after what I've seen, I'm not going anywhere." Nya said frighteningly.
The three then were face to face with Garmadon's shadow. "You can't hurt us, father! You're only a shadow!" Past Lydie told her father.
"This time, daughter, I'm actually much more." Past Garmadon told her.
Lydie's eyes widen in surprise, "Wait a minute. That's not what he was supposed to say." She said in confusion, "Something's change." She stated.
Just then, Present Garmadon appeared as he stood in front of his past daughter and her friends as he gave an evil smirk while the three stood in shock.
"D-Dad?!" Past Lydie asked in shock. "B-b-b-but how?!" She questioned.
"Y-You're suppose to be trapped in the Underworld!?" Past Kai added in shock.
"Oh, there's so much more you both don't know, little ones." Present Garmadon said as the three took a stance as they readied their weapons.
"Go future me." Past Garmadon encourage. "Destroy the fire ninja and prevent our children's destiny." He cheered on.
"Destiny? Children?" Past Lydie asked in confusion.
"Lydie, I'll take point. You protect Nya." Past Kai said.
"W-What? O-Okay." Past Lydie said as she shook out of her shock as she went back and guarded Nya.
Present Garmadon gave an evil laugh, seeing that his past daughter was too conflicted to fight him as he charge at Past Kai, who ran at him as the two clashed weapons as they got into a quick standoff.
"Oh, we have to do something." Kai said as he saw his past self being pushed back by Garmadon. "I don't stand a chance against Garmadon's four arms and Lydie is too conflicted to fight her father." He noted.
Lydie grunted before she went wide eyes. "Wait, that's it." She said, having an idea as she quickly whispered it to the others. "Hold off my dad as long as you can, I'll be back soon." She said before rushing out of the temple with Past Wu.
Past Kai was pushed back before he and Present Garmaodn clashed again before Present Garmadon swung his Mega Weapon and knocked the Sword of Fire out of Kai's and out of his reach.
Present Garmadon gave a smirk as Past Lydie stood in front of her friends as she shakingly readied her staff as Present Garmadon gave his past daughter a small smirk. "Come now, dear. Do you really think you can fight your own father?" He asked his past daughter playfully.
"Uh-Huh?" Past Lydie said nervously as she slowly walked backwards while shielding her friends.
Just then, Present Kai jumped between them as he held up the Sword of Fire.
Both Garmadons were shock. "Two Kais?" Past Garmadon asked in shock.
"Yeah!" Past Kai smirked as Present Garmadon charged at them again.
"I guess I have four arms too." Kai said as his past self was behind him and did a pose before he turned sideways when Present Garmadon swung his Weapon down twice. Kai ducked another swing as his past self gave him a look and nodded. Present Garmadon gasped in shock when Past Kai threw the present one towards him and knocked him back.
Zane and Jay landed in front of him. Seeing that he was out numbered, Present Garmadon,only for him to bump into cole. "Now, I've got you!" He said as he grabbed the Mega Weapon briefly before Present Garmadon leaned back and kicked him off as Cole hit the Present Ninja as they landed in on a rock.
"I think it's safe to say the Past has been drastically changed!" Jay declared.
Both Garmadons then started giving each other a handshake as they thought they've won.
I was thinking about that," Zane told them. "It could be possible to erase the events that have transpired so far by destroying the Mega Weapon that brought us here in the first place."
"You mean, if we destroy that weapon, everything goes back to normal?" Kai confirmed.
"Er...theoretically." Zane responded.
"One problem. Nothing can destroy the Mega Weapon." Cole reminded them. "Only a weapon of equal power has any chance of destroying it."
Just then, Past Wu and Present Lydie quickly returned while Present Lydie gave a weak chuckle. "Like the four weapons that were combined to create the Mega Weapon in the first place?" She joked as she held up the other three of the four Golden Weapons.
The two Garmadon then stopped their handshake as they notice Present Lydie holding the three Golden Weapons. "No!" Present Garmadon yelled.
"The Golden Weapons!" Cole declared.
"Yeah I figured these might come in handy," Present Lydie said tossing the weapons to them, "But they may not be enough to destroy the Mega Weapon, you guys need a destructive element to unbalance the elements in it and My Darkness is the key."
"Huh?" The boys asked as they caught the weapons.
Present Lydie then jumped to them, "If I pour all my power into the Mega Weapon and combine it with your weapons, it just might be enough to destroy that thing." She explained.
"Well it's worth a shot-" Kai said before he realized something, "Wait, your still weak from the changes to the past, if you use your full power, you might not survive that." He said in concern.
"What?" Both Garmadons asked in confusion while Past Lydie was confused by this as well.
"If I'm gonna fade, at least I'll go down trying to save Ninjago," Present Lydie said with a sad smile as the boys looked crushed and hesitant to go through with this, "Don't worry about me, just do what you have to do. And what Zane said would work, everything would return to normal." She assured with a small smile.
The boys were conflicted before Present Lydie grunted as her knees buckled and clutched her chest again, "She's right. If we're gonna do this we have to do it now!" Kai told his friends with new determination, "So let's destroy the Mega Weapon once and ror all!" He declared, pointing his Sword to Garmadon. "Fire!" He called out as his he shot a stream of fire at Garmadon's Mega Weapon.
"Lightning!" Jay called out as he threw his Nunchucks forward, sending a bolt of lightning to the weapon next.
"Earth!" Cole exclaimed pointing his Scythe to the Mega Weapon and fired a storm of stone and dirt at .
"Ice!" Zane finished as he shot a stream of ice out of his Shurikens at the Mega Weapon.
Garmadon felt his grip on the Mega Weapon loosing as the elemental energy surged through it, "NO! What-What are you doing!?" Garmadon demanded.
Lydie then straight herself and brought out all the power she could give, "Darkness!" She declared, pointing her hands at the Mega Weapon as she was fading faster as the others could see through her.
Garmadon saw this too and remembered why he was trying to prevent his children from becoming the Ninjas of Yin & Yang: To save them. He then looked back at Lydie's past self as she looked back at him in concern.
He looked at his Mega Weapon in confliction before he looked at his Lydie, seeing her fade as she was on the verge of collapse as tears were flowing out of her hood as she was using up all her powers just to keep the timeline from changing.
Present Garmadon then closed his eyes with a sigh, 'Ninjago isn't worth conquering, if I lose my greatest treasure' He thought to himself as he did the one thing n one else thought he would do, he let go of the Mega Weapon as it was floated up from the elemental beams.
Past Wu saw this and now took the chance. "NINJA, GO!" He yelled out as the Mega Weapon then started glowing and spinning as everyone then saw the four Golden Weapons levitated towards the Mega Weapon. The seven Weapons spun around each other before the Four Weapons collided with their merged counterpart before blasting off, out of the temple and into the skies, exploding into a thousand sparkles, seemingly destroying both the Mega Weapon and the Golden Weapons.
The Fire Temple was shaking like crazy as the whole place was coming apart. Past Kai turned and saw Nya fading away like Present Lydie. "Nya! What's happening!?" He shouted as he rushed over to his sister, but just went through her.
Past Lydie then turned to her uncle. "Uncle! What's going on!?" She called out as she notice her hands as she was fading like her future self.
"What is suppose to happen." Wu answered as he faded away as well, which he paid no mind as he accepted his fate.
Present Garmadon saw this as he know that they future versions would've fade, not the past ones when he knows why. "The timeline is resetting itself back to how it suppose to be!" He called out as he notice his was fading as well.
"Everyone!" Present Lydie called out as she gave them a small smile. "Prepare for a do over." She finished as she completely faded.
One by one, everyone faded away before everything turned white.
Lydie had her eyes shut before she opened her eyes and gasped looking around and saw her friends on the in the training deck of the Bounty with her as they each held their weapons.
"Did we just, um?" Jay asked while trying to process at what just happened.
"Return to the future?" Kai finished in confusion as well.
"This feels familiar, but weren't we training Lloyd with Lydie?" Cole asked as they notice one ninja missing on deck.
"Unless the future was altered and there's only a Ninja of Yin but no Ninja of Yang." Zane theorized in worry.
The others bowed their heads in worry before Lydie looked up and smiled, "Or maybe not. Look!" She pointed as the boys turned and saw Lloyd coming through the door
"Sorry I'm late guys, was asking a friend over." Lloyd apologized as he walked up to them after closing the door. "Are we ready to get training?" He asked.
Lydie smiled happily at her brother. "Lloyd! You're still here!" She happily said as she and the boys got Lloyd in a group hug.
"Y-Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" Lloyd asked awkwardly.
"So, when we went back in time and destroyed Garmadon's Mega Weapon, that didn't change anything?" Jay asked as Kai picked up a watermelon.
"Our father has a Mega Weapon?" Lloyd asked with concern.
"Wait a minute, you've never heard of it?" Kai asked as he tossed up the watermelon and sliced it for everyone on deck.
Lloyd looked at him, "I-I think I would've remembered something like that. Why? What is it? Should I be concerned?" He asked before everyone laughed in relief at his question. "Hey, what are you guys laughing at? What's so funny?" He then took Kai's sword, tossed up his slice of watermelon in half and carved into into two miniature scale models of dragons.
Kai just shook his head, with a "Well, I think some things are better off left in the past." He quipped.
Lydie chuckled, "Yeah, so for now let's just prepare for the future." She joked as the boys, minus Lloyd, laughed as they got what she meant by that.
"I don't get it." Lloyd remarked confusedly.
Lydie then looked at Lloyd's carvings in interest. "What's with the extra dragon?" She asked with a slight chuckle.
"Like I said, I ask a friend over earlier. And here she comes now." Lloyd answered he pointed to the door as coming through it was a white haired girl wearing a green bodysuit with a dark green jacket, a shirt with a flower pattern underneath and her full lips painted red.
"Hey, everyone. It's nice to see you." the girl said as she walked into the room while the Ninja except for Lloyd looked on in confusion.
"Uh, who's that girl, Lloyd?" Kai asked in confusion.
Lloyd looked at them strangely. "Guys, Don't you recognize her?" He told them, gesturing to the girl with a smile.
"Come on, Lydie. Don't you remember me?" The girl said as she walked up to Lydie, who looked at her strangely.
Lydie narrowed her eyes and looked at the girl carefully before it hit her like a ton of bricks, "Wait, Harumi?!" She exclaimed in shock.
The others shared the same expression. "WHAT?!" They all called out in shock.
Harumi gave a chuckle, "Surprise?" She asked with her hands out.
Jay looked gobsmack, "How-?! When-?! Where-?!" He sputtered before shaking his head and gesturing to Harumi, "You're so big!"
They then heard a chuckle and turned to see Nya walking in with an amused smile, "Trust me, that was my reaction too."
Lydie looked at Harumi in shock. "H-Harumi?! How did you become a teenager so fast!?" She asked in shock while still trying to process what she was seeing.
Lloyd then turned to his friends, " Well, guys, and Lydie, remember how our Dad used the special tea to bring back the Grundal and turn you into kids?" he asked
"Special tea?" Kai asked as the others looked in confusion, since they know that's not how it happened but remembered that Lloyd doesn't remember the Mega Weapon as they played along.
"Uh, oh yeah! That." Lydie quickly said with an awkward look. "Why?" She asked.
"Well, when we used Tomorrow's Tea to reverse the effects, and made me and Burmesia older, I think it somehow made Harumi a teenager too." Lloyd explained as Harumi nodded her head in confirming.
"It did?" Cole asked as he and the others were surprise.
"How?" Lydie asked in wonder. "She wasn't with us when you use Tomorrow's Tea, and I doubt it was a long range tea." She pointed out.
"That's what we're trying to figure out." Lloyd said as he handed Harumi the Watermelon carving.
They then heard a throat clearing and turned to see Wu walking in with a sly expression, "I believe, I can explain how this happen." He said walking towards them, "Tomorrow's Tea has the power to see who you are to be in the future, changing one's self both mentally and physically. But as an added effect, the Tea is also capable of changing the age of your destined one so that the bond between you and they shall remain eternally strong." He explained.
The others looked at Wu in confusion before Nya spoke up. "Wait, so your saying is that the Tea can not only make a person older, but it also makes the love of your life older too, even when they're not there to use the tea?" She asked.
"Yes. That's exactly what it does." Wu answered as he stroke his beard.
Harumi and Lloyd looked at each other as they quickly blushed and moved away a bit while looking embarrassed.
"Uh, but, uh, why would it do that, to Rumi, uncle?" Lloyd asked with a slight stammer, wanting to change the subject.
"Wait, Rumi?" Lydie asked with a big grin.
Lloyd realize what he said as he covered his mouth, "Oops." He said while blushing.
The boys and Nya caught what was going on and looked at Lloyd slyly, "Oooh~" They said as Lloyd and Harumi blushed.
"Looks like Lloyd found a special bond with Harumi." Kai said with a teasing smirk.
"Uh, can we talk about why the Tea did that to change when I wasn't there, please?" Harumi pleaded.
Nya then wrapped an arm around the embarrassed girl, "Oh, I think we already found the answer, honey." She said teasingly. "We think the Tomorrow's Tea did Lloyd a favor." She added.
"For not wanting him to be without his girlfriend." Cole added, bumping Lloyd's arm.
"I detect Royal Wedding Bells are approaching in our future." Zane joked.
The others gave small laughs while Wu gave a chuckle at his nephew while Lloyd and Harumi looked on in embarrassment as they blushed and groaned.
"Come on, guys! Can we please start training now!" Lloyd pleaded.
"Because this is not what I came here for when I wanted to hang out with Lloyd and you guys!" Harumi added as she blushed brightly as the others kept laughing at their embarrassment.
Lydie calmed down and then looked to her uncle as they walked out of the room, "Uncle Wu, there's something I like to ask you." She asked.
"What is it, Lydie?" Wu asked in interest as Lydie gestured that they go outside as they left the others laughing.
They soon came outside on the deck, "Can you tell me about someone named Morro, The Master of Wind?" Lydie suddenly asked.
Wu looked on in shock at what she said as he dropped his staff, "Where did you learn that name?" He asked in slight fear.
"When the boys and I traveled into the past, I was looking for a scroll we need to get back to our time." Lydie explained as she held up the Temporal Voyage Scroll she manage to save. "But then I found this in your old studies in the Monastery." She said as she held out the green scroll on Morro she kept. "I didn't get much since I don't know ancient language then Zane, but maybe you can tell me?" She asked.
Wu took the scroll from Lydie, which surprised her as he looked at it longingly as he sigh. "This is something from my past, I wish I could forget but will never allow myself to, Lydie. Let's just say that Morro was once who I first thought would wear green."
Lydie eyes went wide. "Wait, you thought he was gonna be the Green Ninja of Yang?" She asked in surprise as the wind suddenly stirred around them.
Wu got startled from the wind before he calmed down. "Yes, but when the Golden Weapons didn't react to him, I realized I made a mistake of getting his hopes up and it lead him on a quest to prove himself, I never saw him again." He said sadly.
Lydie feel sympathy for her uncle as she gave him a comforting hug. "Oh, Uncle. I'm so sorry." She said solemnly. "He must've been very special to you."
"He still is." Wu said as returned the hug.
Lydie broke away and looked at her uncle, "Is that why you never told us about the Green Ninja sooner? Because you were afraid the boys would end up like Morro?" She asked.
Wu nodded. "I couldn't risk making the same mistake a second time. So I kept the truth until I knew for certain who the chosen one was meant to be." He explained softly. "I just didn't account Kai grabbing my bag that held the scroll in it." He added.
"He is a rushing hot head." Lydie commented as she and Wu chuckled.
Wu then looked solemn, "It is at least comforting that he and the others were more accepting of destiny," He said before looking away, "I only wished I could've helped Morro realize that as well."
Lydie gave a small smile. "Well, wherever he is, I'm sure he would understand by now. Besides, you didn't make the same mistake again with him. The boys obsession of the Green Ninja thing literally bursted out of them when they found their true potential. It was pretty interesting and comforting." She stated. "Maybe the same happened with Morro, in his own way I think."
Wu gave a thoughtful look, knowing that is true for the boys, but for Morro is a different story that he's not ready to tell Lydie. "Well, perhaps, perhaps not." He said.
Lydie then placed a hand on his shoulder, "Hey, you can't always live in the past. The past is the past, right?" She asked with a smile.
Wu gave a smile in return. "And the future is the future." He added as the two look up at the sky.
Up in the night sky, there was one star that glowed brighter than the others…in a golden color.
Lydie went wide eyes from seeing the star. "Uncle, is that? Or those the…?" She tried to asked as she looked at her uncle.
Wu gave a smile and nod at his niece. "Yes, Lydie. The Golden Weapons are finally somewhere that can never be used for evil again." He said as he placed a hand on her shoulder.
Lydie looked sadden, "Guess this means the guys won't be getting their powers back." She said.
"But power is never truly lost." Wu said with a smile. "The boys may no longer be able to access their elemental abilities, but since my brother first stole them, they managed without them longer than we thought. Like you before you found yours." He added with a proud smile. "Perhaps someday, your friends will find another way of regaining their powers."
Lydie gave a small smile in return before Wu patted her shoulder, "Now come, let us make sure Lloyd and your future sister-in-law haven't dismembered Nya and the boys yet." He said while walking back below deck with a chuckle.
Lydie chuckled in return as she followed her uncle before taking one last look at the star where the Golden Weapons reside in now as they shined a golden glow again. "Thank you for everything, Golden Weapons of my grandfather. Enjoy your peace and solitude away from evil hands." She said to the star as she walked back into the Bounty to make sure Lloyd and Harumi haven't torn the others apart from embarrassment.
